Adding functions to customers maintenance views (customizing)

Dear experts,
I've just been asked the following question that I don't have an answer to (I actually would expect it to be "No" but I want to cross-check it with you experts):
Thinking of the generated maintenance views as they are used hundredfold in SPRO/customizing: Do you know any way to add a dialog function (button) to those standard dialogs? For example to provide a shortcut to one of our own customizing dialogs that are meant to enhance the SAP standard customizing (let's say the settings for house bank accounts). To make it even more unlikely to get a positive answer: the solution should not require any kind of manual work at the customers side other than performing a regular import of a transport (or at least not much more than that). It shouldn't be necessary to do any programming on user-exits, et cetera.
Thanks in advance
Andreas

Hi Yadesh,
to be more precise: take the generated view V_T012 for house bank settings.
Next to the standard functions such as "Toggle Display/Change", "New Entries", etc. I would like to have a button with which I could call up an own program for the maintenance of customizing settings that enhance the house bank settings.
regards
Andreas

  • Grouping customers and view customer open items list - Group wise

    Hi.
I have some requirement from my client.
He says that he want to view customer open items list group wise.
In FBL5N we can give the selection of multiple customers. But he wants to group the specific customers and then view the open items for this group.
For example: Client has 10 customers and out of these customers he wants to select and group 5 customers. And then he want to view open items list for this group.
Can anyone help me how to group these specific customers in the total customers list. Also request you to provide me the option to view open items for this group of customers.
    Regards,
    Padmavathi

    Hi Padmavathi,
It is possible. use Worklist for Customers.
Go to OB55 and define a Worklist for Customers, and mention the list of Customers that you want to see under that Worklist.
After this, when you to to FBL5N, you will get an option to select Worklist to run the list of open items.. and it would show open items of all customers that you have defined in your worklist.
Also note that you will have to go to FB00, tab Line Items, and tick Worklists available. This is at User Level, so only that user will be able to see the worklist in his FBL5N transaction code.

  • Disable delete button in a maintenance view

    Hi,
Does anyone knows how can I disable the delete button in a maintenance view so when a user that is not authorized can´t delete any row, or how can I lock the delete subroutine.
    Thanks!

    Hello Moises
The problem with this solution is that if you ever need to modify your maintenance view (i.e. regenerate the dynpros because you may want to add new fields) your coding is gone.
This is not the case if you are using event 19. Below you see same sample coding:
***INCLUDE LZUS_SDN_MAINTF01 .  " Function Group with maintenance views
    * Event 19: After Init. Global Variables, Field Symbols, etc.
    * http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/91/ca9f44a9d111d1a5690000e82deaaa/content.htm
    FORM exclude_gui_function.
    * define local data
      DATA: ls_excl   TYPE vimexclfun.
      ls_excl-function = 'DELE'.  " taken from standard GUI-status 'ZULG'
    BREAK-POINT.
      AUTHORITY-CHECK OBJECT 'F_BKPF_BUK'
               ID 'BUKRS' FIELD '1000'
               ID 'ACTVT' FIELD '02'.
      IF ( syst-subrc NE 0 ).
        APPEND ls_excl TO excl_cua_funct.

  • Maintenance view problem "No data maintenance Authorization; Display only"

    Maintenance view problem
    <b>Question 1>>>></b>
    > I have created a table with Display/maintenance allowed and technical setting Data class - APPL0 (master data, transparent tables).
    >> Then I have created a maintenance view thought utilities->table maintenance generator where i have specified the Authorization group as &NC& (w/o auth. group)
->and also created a function group and specified in the maintenance screen-> I have selected maintenance type as one step-> i have given the overview screen number->and in Recording routine i have selected - no, or user ,recording routine.
    >>> Now when i go to transaction SM30  and put the table name and press on maintain button I get a information box saying "<b>No data maintenance Authorization; Display only"....</b> and it only displays the data.
my problem is I want to enter data through maintenance view (SM30).
<b>2nd Question >>>></b> once i create a function group for maintenance view how can i assign a transaction for this. <i>(as if i do it as we do for a module pool program it gives me error)</i>Thank you.

SE93.  Enter a transaction name.  Create.  In the pop up enter a title and select 'Transaction with parameters'.
    Next screen fill the following;
    Transaction 'SM30'
    Check 'Skip first screen'
In the table control at the bottom of the screen
    Name of screen field 'VIEWNAME'
    Value <your table name>

  • Adding field in Maintenance view of table

    Hi,
I am trying to create a custom maintanable table.  Now the requirement is I need to add one more extra  field in the maintenace view of the table which should not be in the table fields and is for display only in the maintencae view.
I tried adding a cloumn by editing the screen program generated by the table maintenance generator. I get the the display in the maintenance view of that extra field. But I dont get the values populated.
Can you please let me know in which PBO or PAI i should write the module programe ..
Help will be rewarded with points.

    Hello Bluesh
Normally the extra field should be from a table that has a foreign-key relationship to your main table. Thus, add this additional table to the list of tables for the view. If it does not have a suitable relationship you cannot add it to the list of tables.
Afterwards add the required field to the list of view fields and set its property to 'R' = read-only.
If correctly defined there is no need at all to modify the screen(s) or the coding of the PBO/PAI modules.
Example: your z-table contains field KUNNR (value table KNA1) and you want to add the NAME1 field to your maintenance view
add table KNA1 to the list of tables
add field NAME1 to view fields
    set its property to 'R'
    regenerate function modules and screens

  • Adding Field to maintenance view

    Hi
I have added a field to Z Table wich has already created a maintenance view (SM30) , but this field does not appears in maintenance view even the table is active.  (This is a basic Z table with one key field, the new field is not key field)
I go to Maintenance Table Generator in SE11 and there is its Function Group but i do not know how to regenerate the Function Group and Function Module for make the new field appears in SM30.
Can somebody please help me , wich step must i do to regenerate the maintenance view in order the new field appears in SM30 ?
    Regards
    Frank

    Hi,
Hope you have created the table and done the TMG (Table maintenance generator). Then you changed the table.
    Now proceed like:
    goto se11 & give your table name#
    clieck on change
    goto utilities-> TMG
In the TMG, just click on the icon - pencil (or press F7).
Just select all the options and press enter
Now the TMG will be regenerated.
After this please check, it will work fine.

  • Maintenance View for custom table with foreign key relationship

    Hi Folks,
I have created a custom table with foreign key relationship with other check tables. I want to create a maintenance view / tablemaintenance generator. What all things I need to take care for the foreign keys related fields while creating the maintenance view / tablemaintenance generator.
    Regards,
      santosh

    Hi,
You do not have to do anything explicitely for the foreign key relationships in the table maintainance generator.
Create the table maintainance generator via SE11 and it will take care of all teh foreign key checks by itself.

  • Customed maintenance view and assign T-Code

    Hello SAP exports,
I have one question needs your help!
We do not want the end users to maintenance V_T008 table directly by using SM30 in PRD.
Therefore, I copy V_T008 view and create a custom view ZV_T008 by using SE11.
The purpose is to create a maintenance view (ZV_T008) and assign a new T-Code in order to let user allows to maintenace ONLY in V_T001C table in PRD without using SM30.
    Is above the solution workable?
I know how to assign a program to a new T-Code by using T-Code SE93.
But, I do not know how to assign a maintenance view (ZV_T008) to a new T-Code.
    Please help.
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Sylvia Chen

    Great thanks for the tips!
Now I can run T-Code and SAP display the data table immediately.
I can modify the data table directly without using SM30.
    This is great!
Two more things need to solve.
Can SAP only show one of the record of the data table?
There are 10 records in the data table.
The user ONLY needs to modify one record when the ZV_T008-ZAHLS = "K".
The other thing needs to solve is following:
when user inputs T-Code, SAP display the data table immediately.
But, the description field (ZV_T008-TEXTL) is able to modify.
How can I make this field become not able to modify?
If you can provide the above solution, it will make me a very Merry Christmas!
    Regards,
    Sylvia Chen

  • Table maintenance view - tcode

    Hi experts,
We have a tcode (already in production) created for table maintenace view of z-table.
    Everything is working fine.
Now I added one new field to the z-table and changed the table maintenance view accordingly. In SM30 I can maintain the table without difficulties - the new field is visible and maintenable. However, when I call the transaction code created for this view, it doesn't have the new field yet.  I tried a lot but without success to update the tcode accordingly.
How can I get the tcode adjusted with the new field?
Thanks for your advise and help in advance!
Your feedback will be << appreciated >>.

It's about one week you asked the question, but I answer in case you didn't understand what happened:
First, screens 1000-1010 can't be used in a table maintenance dialog (an error is mentioned by SAP when you try to use these numbers). So, I really don't understand how you can get 1000 in your table view!
So, I think that your transaction is linked to a custom program (not the SM30 view). So you just need to adapt manually the custom program. Note: maybe the program is a partial copy of the SM30 function group, so maybe you may just copy the dynpro 1000 of the SM30 function group  to the dynpro 1001 of your custom program...
Note: when you want to create a transaction which is linked to a table maintenance view (SM30), you must define a Z* transaction of type parameter, with reference to SM30 transaction, select "skip initial screen", do not choose any dynpro, and choose VIEWNAME = your view and UPDATE = X as parameter values.

  • Add button to a maintenance view

I am working with maintenance views and user-defined events in maintenance views at the moment.
Now I'd like to add a button to the maintenance view that will show a popup with recent changes to the selected line of the database table.
Is that possible with user-defined events or should I modify the generated dynpros manually. But then, will the modifications be deleted if I will have to regenerate the maintenance view in the future (e.g. when I might add a field to the database table)?

If you are talking SE54 and Maintenance Views, when I do an SM30 on the Maintenance View and do SYSTEM->STATUS, I see GUI STATUS ZULG on program SAPLSVIM.  If you look at that status, I see two buttons with dynamic text.  The first one is call GPRF and has dynamic text VIM_PR_STAT_TXT_CH.  You can find a suitable PBO event to set the text of that function code and if that works, find a suitable PAI event to respond to that function.
I recall finding some documentation on customizing the GUI STATUS but no luck today trying to find it.
Let us know how it goes.

  • The column names is not being displayed in maintenance view...

    Hello experts,
I created a maintenance view for my custom table and I am wondering on why does the columns
have no names? It is just displayed with a '+'. Help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot
    guys and take care!

    Hi,
Check whether is any description for the corresponding data element...
Otherwise you can go to SE51 to change the column text..
If you are adding text to the data element generate the screens again..
    Thanks,
