Adding hyperlink within the Job Posting description in Peoplesoft TAM

Hi All -
Is it possible to put a hyperlink in the Job Posting description in TAM. The entire Job posting description is retrieved from the Job Posting Index file which gets created running the delivered process (Verity Job Posting Index Build: HRS_JSCH_IDX). When i put the hyperlink in the Job posting description, it comes as a regular text. If anyone worked on this type of requirement, please let me know how to achieve this. To give an idea, below is what is required:

The Job Index is only for when the applicant does a search. When they are looking at the Job Openings before or after they have signed in it is not using the results of the job index build app engine so you can put the link on the page yourself.

HCM 9.1 recruiting & RTF job posting descriptions

Good morning,
I've been looking at the 9.1 recruiting functionality with resumes and job posting descriptions; Recruiting now allows RTF information to be stored in the database. I'm finding that this will break a lot of integrations that are expecting plaintext in these fields. I wanted to ask whether anyone knows of any standard PC functions that would essentially strip out all of the [p], [br] and other tags from RTF text ? I think that this would be a tough ask to code as a function.

In fact, after testing a while after the fact, the strip HTML function specifically leaves the RTF tags alone. If anyone has worked this out, I'd be interested to hear it.

Find out the OTR text assigned to the element you want to update from the Property -> Text
Ex: PAOC_RCF_UI/Task
Go to tcode SOTR_EDIT and find the OTR for PAOC_RCF_UI/Task then go into Edit->Context->Change to make the required changes.

Internal job posting description is cut off, External Job posting is not

Hi,
This is regards to the posting information for internal/external candidate with the detailed information of Company, Department, Project, Tasks and Requirement.
Recruiter->Maintenance->Requisition->Posting
We have one posting with two publications (one for Internal and one for External Candidate). Internal job posting description is cut off, External Job posting (Same Description) is not cut off. When search for jobs and click on Job Posting.

You cannot directly access a table, because long texts are stored in KPRO.
Therefore look at CL_HRRCF_POSTING_INST_BL and CL_HRRCF_POSTING_BL (either Posting or Publication)
in order to retrieve texts.

To create a dvd and include hyperlinks within the presentations to further info

I want to create a DVD with a a main menu that feeds into various slideshows and pdf documents. But I want to include hyperlinks within these slideshows and pdf's that will bring you to further information (Sub Folders lets say!) that will not be contained within the initial slideshows and pdf documents but held somewhere on the dvd. How do I create these hyperlinks or can this be done?

I doubt that very much.
a Video-DVD as You make with iDVD is to be played on any standard DVD-Player and they can not address internet or playback .pdf.
• You can store Data-material on a Video-DVD but need a computer to use it
• You can convert a .pdf file into a movie to be viewed as any other movie (I never get good enough quality in this conversion though)
and
You can make the DVD into a Data-DVD on Desktop/Finder and convert Your movies into QuickTime .mov (or other) to be played on PC/Mac - but this will not play in any DVD-player.
Have You ever seen a DVD that work as You describe Your wish ? I never.

Adding/upgrading within the OSX file structure?

I want to upgrade my Dev environment, which happens to be my laptop...
The MySQL that comes with 10.4 is 4.0.21 based out of /Library/MySQL/
Apache 1.3.33 is run by /usr/sbin/httpd with config files in /etc/httpd/.
Has anyone ever tried upgrading these to these locations, as opposed to using /usr/local/? Any problems with port conflicts?
php 4.4.7 is in /usr/bin/, with supporting files and libraries... somewhere. How might I add php5 so that it is also centered out /usr/bin/? I need to be able to go back and forth.
Any ideas? Is /usr/local actually easier, in the long run?

I've always looked at this as a question of "ownership"; of preserving continued stability. Save for specific sorts of configuration and installation and related activities, dropping random stuff in the system-owned directories or deleting random stuff or otherwise messing about within the Apple directories always seemed somewhat hazardous (to me), and seemed that it could lead to immediate trouble and (worse) trouble sometime in the future.
We've all seen a few folks posting in various of the discussion forums that have gotten into trouble by deleting stuff. What's more subtle is what happens when upgrades wander by and encounter end-user changes.
(I did OS-level engineering development for another vendor for quite some years, FWIW. Unexpected changes made to the system directories by end-users or by various products could -- and variously did -- break upgrades, and could break dependencies within various products.)
If you're looking for newer bits than you have, Darwinports might be an option. "Might" being the key word here. Sometimes Darwinports has some pretty old stuff. When last I looked, the Darwinports bits were using /usr/local. That's certainly where I have my php5 bits configured.
Locally, /usr/local is used. What and how you choose with your system-related directories is up to you, of course.

Adobe Premiere Basics Creating Video Publishing and Adding advertisments within the video.

Hi I am new to Adobe Premiere and have some basic questions I have a video that I would like to mix sound into and also add a flash advertisment in but am having problems previewing the movie in perfect quality. For example, when I drag my imported video in, the movie gets much smaller when I preview it. Even after I get some of the sequences finished and I export it, the video looks small.
I think this is something in the publishing or importing features that I don't know of, basically how do I work on my video and create parts to it while keeping the quality of the video 100%
My second question is, I have created a simple fade in fade out advertisment that I would like to go in the bottom right part of the video, how do i position it exactly there?

Adding Hyperlink to content within RTE in SharePoint 2013

As I understand, you would like to add hyperlink to content edited in rich text editor.
I create a page in SharePoint 2013, then the page content is in rich text editor. I can directly add a hyperlink, such as
http://www.bing.com, then click space, it will turn blue and to be marked as a hyperlink here.
If you would like to edit this hyperlink, you could move your cursor among this link, then a Link tab will appear. Or you could select Edit Source under Format Text tab, then you will find hyperlink displayed as:

<a href="http://www.bing.com/">http://www.bing.com</a>

You could edit the source code directly per your requirements.

Linking to a document saved in KM via Job Posting Overview in EREC 300

Hello Gurus,
An attachment was added to a requisition as a part of the normal process of creating a requisition (in EREC 300) . I would now like to access this attachment as a link from within the Job Publication / Posting Instance Overview . In order to achieve this ,I proceeded as follows:
1. I read the Document ID from the table T77RCF_DOCID for the Infotype 5134 and field name 'ATTACHMENT'.
2. Next got the attachment URL using the following code
CALL METHOD cl_hrrcf_hrkwf_storage=>get_url_for_bsp
 EXPORTING
 doc_id = l77rcf_docid-docid
 hrobject = ls_req_object
 version = lv_version
 IMPORTING
 url = attachment_url.
3. Next I added this URL as a link to my Overview Smartform.
When I now try to click on this link from within the E-Recruiting ( on the Job Publication Overview) it gives me this error:
SSF error: Decoding not possible
The URL for the link was found to be:

Hi Rajeev,
The below FM works now, actually when u execute this FM it does not give the whole complete URL , so in the debug mode of FM try to get the the whole URL link with the full 32/64 bit (guid) and then check the url in browser with http protocal , it should work.

Job Publication doesnt get changed data in Job Posting through workflow.

Job Publication is not picking up the changed data in the Job Posting/Requisition through workflow.
When I am changing the data in Job Posting and release it manually the changed data gets reflected in Job Publication but if I am releasing the Job Posting trough WF(automatically) then the Publication doesnt pick up the data.The workflows are working fine in the system still the problem exists.

1-Log in portal with user id and pwd.
2-Create a requisition initially.
3-Create and release the Job posting(manually)
4-Create and release the Job Publication(manually).
5.Try editing the previous Job Posting and save it bu dont release the Job Posting manually.Now come to the personal page,when we again enter the same Job Posting ,the status of the Job Posting is set to "released" automatically by a Workflow.
6.Now if we proceed for the Job Publication and try Displaying it,the edited changes in the Job POsting is not displayed.
But if we have "released" the job posting manually then the changes are reflected in the Publication.
The user wants to use the Workflow scenario and also wants the edited changes to be taken up by the Publication.

Hyperlinks within Crystal Reports

I am using Crystal Reports to create a statement. We would like to include hyperlinks in our report. We have already created hyperlinks within the report. The hyperlinks are only operational when I click within the subreport. I want to process my report to a PDF and have the hyperlinks work. Any Suggestions? I am currently working in Crystal 8.5 (we have 10 but our database is not matching up).

As an alternative, at least one of the 3rd-party Crystal Reports Manager tools listed at http://www.kenhamady.com/bookmarks.html can use visible or hidden (white font) formulas anywhere within a Crystal report (including inside subreports) to create file, web, or email links at that same location within the pdf export of the report. Optionally, an image (such as a .png button image can be added to provide a GUI for the link.

E-Recruiting job posting XML

Hi,
I was wondering if there is any standard programs or solution to collect the job posting in e-Recruitiing.
I would like to collect all the job posting and send and XML with the data via HTTP to an external application.

as far as I know for using the XI solution for publishing e-recruiting postings you need to do the following steps:
First of all, if not already done, you should contact the different Job Boards to provide their XML requirements.
For XI there is an extra installation / addon package which contains the XI e-recruiting structures. I am not really sure about the name but it should be found in the servie marketplace.
Then you have to link the XI server to the E-recruiting server. That means doing all the Admin stuff which is not e-recruting specific.
In the e-recruting system you define posting channels for the Jobboards. I prefere having one per Jobboard. You do that via IMG -> SAP E-Recruiting -> Recruitment -> Req. Management -> Job Posting -> Define Posting Channels. In the channel you use class CL_HRRCF_PUBLISHER_XI as publishing class.
Then you have to activate the periodical service PUBLICATION_VIA_XI within the technical settings of the e-recruting customizing. The service itself should already defined.
Then you have to restart the periodical service job in SM36/SM37 so it really runs the new service.
From there on the Posting data should be transfered to the XI system where you can create the transformation s to get the data into the format th Jobboards require.
You might also have a look on the SLG1 if something is not set up properly the periodical service should write an entry there. Furthermore you can check table T77RCF_XI_PUB. This is the publisher table for the XI. You can see which posting instances wait for publishing, which are published and which are withdrawn.
I hope that helps you in configuration.

What URL for E-recruiting page to use from external job posting web site

Hello,
What is the standard SAP entrance back to E-recruiting from an external job posting site? We have sent our job postings to an external web site vender (Monster) to be posted for candidates to review. On the review page at Monster is the Apply Now button for a particular job. When the candidate clicks the Apply Now button, we would like the job detail to show within E-recruiting for the reference code of the job posted. Otherwise, the candidate has to repeat the job search within E-recruiting to get to the referenced details. Currently, we have a custom enhancement to populate the reference code (parsing it from the URL) to the Job Search page so at least the candidate can click one more time on the search button and the details display. Is there a standard page or better way to get to the job details in E-recruiting without custom enhancements coming from the external job posting web site?

Hello Cindy,
this is not very difficult and completly possible within the standard application functions. As you show all position data already in the page of the job board (like Monster) you use a link which dirctly referes the applicant to the page where he enters name and mail-address to apply for the job (if he like to see the postion instance again this page do includes a link to the data overview).
The link you use is the same link used in the "request for application" correspondence with which you can request a candidate youidentified in your talent pool to apply for a position.
The link should be available directly if you use the XI integration scenario but can be created very easily. Only 2 things to know:
- do you use the standard posting channel ID 0002 for external postings or have you confiqured a custom posting channel for posting at monster
- how do you get the job information to the monster guys. As you wrote you do not use the XI integration, so have you created a customer own publisher to dump all information to a share where monster is reading it automatically or do you maintain the publications by hand?
If you could give me this information i'll post the easiest way to get the link.

E-Recruiting - Job Posting using smart Forms

Hello,
Iam working on adding some customized content to the Job posting which would be visible to the candidates when doing a job search and applying for jobs.
I have browsed through SAP blogs which have information on using SAP Smart forms for Job posting but never knew how to go about the whole thing.
I would also want to add my client logo and some image files for the Job posting.
Can some one provide insights on how exactly to do that?
P.S --> I found some information on u201CBAdI: Specify Proposal Texts for Postingsu201D on SAP Help but could'nt find any such one in R/3 to work on. We are running version 6.0.

Hello G Raj,
the BAdI you found is only for providing standard texts in the posting maintainence. If implemented it sets text you use again and again depending on requisition attibutes so the recruiter does not have to type in everything each time.
For the publication smartform, as for any other data overview, you do not change the standard you just replace the standard example by your company one. You start by copying the standard smartform to keep the correct interface (all e-recruiting smartforms are named HRRCF*) and changing to the layout you need. Then you set the smartform in IMG under SAP E-Recruiting -> Technical Settings -> User Interfaces -> Settings for User Interfaces with Business Server Pages (BSP) -> Assign Parameters to Parameter Types.

How to bring Job Posting tab page in Requisition Maintenance?

I want to know how to bring the Job Posting tab page in Requisition Maintenance? As SAP help document says, before creating Job Posting you should create the corresponding requisition. I can able to create the requisition as a requisition manager and i can able to approve the particular requisition as a Recruiter.
The next process is Job Posting. As with the expert forums, i checked with the sequence table and role assignments. Everything is fine but still i couldn't able to see the Job Posting tab page. So please help me to sort out this problem. Am facing it for the past one week.

As you said i check with the "Modify Container Sequences" and i found that there is no entry for any container sequence. But i check with the table T77RCF_CS_SEQ, whereas i can able to see the entries for Job Posting assignment to all the relevant elements.
And one more thing is none of the table entries(container sequence) are having context. Whether i have to give all the entries in the IMG "Modify Container Sequences" so as to assign the context value to all the container sequence. If so can u let me know what entry i have to give in the context field?
