Adding label to a field in ME21N

Hi all,
In screen ME21N item-level in Tab "Account assignemnt", we need to add a label or text, which will display the description of cost center. In standard, system will only show cost center number.
For eg: if i am having cost center number in ME21n, the screen should also display description of cost center. What will be best option to achieve this functionality.
Please provide your vaulable suggestions.

The changes what you need to be done is in the standard screen. Obiviously we all know changing the standard things are not a good practice. if you need you can have separate header tab and line item tab in the Purchase order.
For this exit and BADI are available.

Columns
first-level are priority or non-priority schools
second-level are priority type
Rows
First-level: month
second-level: count of calls opened this month; sum of time spent; opened prior to reportstart and still open, closed this month
The row label for sum of time spent specifies that the time is in hours. However, our Curriculum and Instruction department wants each data cell in that row to include the abbreviation hrs. In other words, the row label would say Time spent on requests closed this month(hrs) and each cell would say 10.5 hrs 2 hrs, etc. Can anyone help with this?

Thank you! This solved my problem. It took me awhile to find where I could change the currency sign to display on the right but once I did it worked like a charm (we're and educational system, we rarely get to report on money).
For others who don't know where to find this:
- right click the field and select Format Field
- on the Number tab of the format editor, select Display Currency Symbol
- click Customize
- click the Currency Symbol tab of the Custom Style Editor
- in the Position menu choose the selection with the currency symbol on the right
- in the Currency Symbol box type hrs.
Save, save, and done!

Adding field in ME21N po header

Hi All,
I have added field on ME21N on header level.
I used below screen exit
SAPMM06E 0101 CUSTSCR1 SAPLXM06 0101 Subscreen: PO header
and added fields to structure CI_EKKODB. Field is created on ME21N but table is not updating.
can you please let me know what and where should I write the code to update the table.

e_ci_ekko = ekko_ci.
EXIT_SAPMM06E_006 ( INCLUDE ZXM06U36)
ekko_ci = i_ci_ekko.
it still not updating ekko table for these fields.
How can I put logic in PBO even of screen 101 for enabling this.

Hi Super-Techies,
I am a new-bie in the world of enhancement.
The reuirement here is I need to create a custom table with 1 field (prep_name). (This is done)
Now the reuirement is that whenever user goes to transaction ME21N/ME22N, he wants me to add a f4 help for salesperson field (navigation : ME21N/ME22N -> CLICK ON COMMUNICATION TAB -> SALESPERSON). The f4 help should display the field from my custom table.
As far as my knowledge is cond=cerned, I can use the function module 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST' to achieve this requirement.
But the issue I am facing is where to write this logic and how to proceed. Can anyone help me in this case?
Any help in this regard would be appreciated.

Hi Vinit,
I also had that requirement. There is no customer exit/BADI by which we can achieve that(as far as my knowledge), we have to use access key to achieve that. So we have gone for customer exit "MM06E005" to add Customer data tab in header and added our own fields, like Sales Person, Buyer Details etc.

Custom fields in me21n

Dear Gurus ,
I have added some custom fields in me21n in header & item level through badi . some fields are in standard table (CI_EKPODB )
and other are in Ztable . Every thing is working fine .
Problam is that when i am making a new purchase order through me21n by Copying another purchase order . Custom fields are not copying .
Example: i have a po no : 101 .
two custom field zabc = 123 .
zdef = 345 .
when i am making a new po by adopt(Through Document overview on) this po 101 these custom fields are not coping .
is there any Customizing , exit , Enhaancement . That can Resolve this issue ?

In BADI 'ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST', try with method PROCESS_ITEM to populate them with the right filters. Check if in MEPOITEM for fields REFBS and REFPS is the PO that you are copying.

I m adding field in me21n using the enhancement MM06E005 in this i m adding field in screen 0111.
when i m going to check in me22n custom add is coming but when i m clicking custom tab a dump is coming.
error is 'THE ATTRIBUTE SCREEN TYPE WITH THE VALUES NORMAL SCREEN AND SUBSCREEN DETERMINES THE USE OF THE SCREEN .IF A NORMAL SCREEN IS USED AS SUBSCREEN OR VICE-VERSA AN ERROR OCCURS.
THE SCREEN SAPLXM06 011 HAS, IN THIS RESPECT AN INAPPROPRIATE SCREEN TYPE.
PLEASE GIVE THE STEPS..N HELP ME..

Merge field label of two fields in ALV report

I have a requirement to create a ALV report and the alv report has three fields(say F1, F2, F3). Where F1 and F2 fall under same category and i need to have single field label for both these fields.
How can I merge the field label of the fields F1 and F2?

Changing the label of a field in SAP GUI

Hello SAP Guys,
I would like to change the label of a field in SAP GUI.
I already did it internally because for that field the Shor Text of the label changed:
I went to SE11, and wrote down the appropriate data element, through Translation I changed the entries of SCRTEXT_L, SCRTEXT_M and SCRTEXT_S and activated this change after saving.
It is very strange that after making sure that the
Short Text of that field was changed, I went to trx BP and I could see that the label didn´t change.
I´ll appreciate any help you can give me,

Hi Efrain,
Can you tell me in which screen did you make the screen.
Moreover the changes are not reflected immediately.
What you can try is to create a new record of the transaction in which you changed the label and save the recore. After this try to close the session and reopen the transaction and this should work.
The reason is the label on the screen are not picked up from the data element everytime but from buffer. So when you create a record this updates the database table entry and can also refresh the buffer.
I had the same problem in BP transaction and the above solution worked.

Having problems when adding new Curency value field + currency field.

I need to add a new Currency field (CURR, length 15, 2 decimal places) plus the Currency field itself to a view.
I'm really struggerling. I have looked at the existing SAP fields in the Component workbench and I have to admit I can not see how a field is linked/related to the currency itself. Is this link established purlely at the disctionary level?.
Has anyone added their own Z field value and Z currency field before. I can create both fields and display them, but what I can not work out is how I related them within the component workbench, or is this done from the dictionary?.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I should have been able to look at an existing SAP example and work out how it's done, but so far I can not see/determine how this is achieved, even though someone has mentioned that it's controlled via the GET_I_field method. Looking at this method I was expecting to see some mention of both the Currency value field and the Currency field. But as I don't see these confusion reigns.

That's correct, but am I right in thinking that you can't actually create the currency key field itself?.
I am aware that currency value fields can be created which reference a currency key field, but can see nothing that allows me to create a currency key field to be referenced.
I hope that makes sense.
Also, I have amended the structure, changing my value fields from Decimal 15,2 to Currency 15,2 and have created a new currency key field in the structure and referenced this from the Currency value field.
Witin the Component/view/context node I can see this new currency key field, but it appears as STRUCT.fieldlabel whereas my currency value field appears in the context node as EXT.fieldlabel, because it was created in the AET.
My problem is that when attempting to add the currency key field onto the screen I don't have it to select from within the list of structures/attributes. All the others attributes in the context node seem to be there, except the new currency key field/attribute.
The attribute has a SET_fieldlabel, GET_fieldlabel, GET_M_Fieldlabel and a GET_I_Fieldlabel, which I believe is all that should be required.
Does anyone know what my problem could be?.

How to remove labels from text fields?

Hey Everyone!
I am having troubles with forms in Dreamweaver CC.
I insert a text field in a form but the text field automatically comes with a label.
How do i stop this?

And I get that!
But say I insert a text field.
It is preceded by a label saying "Text Field 1:"
But I already have written what the text field is supposed to do!
And when I go in front of the label and press backspace, it doesn't wanna get deleted; not until I have to select the text and delete it!
So you see a large part of my time is getting wasted in formatting the page and i can't give my full attention to the php code I want to write as I get frustrated because of this!
So if you could help me get rid of the labels for good ; it'll be amazing!

Problem in adding custom table's field in MM46

Hi,
I have a complex requirement of adding fields of custom table in MM46 for mass maintance.
I did most of the part but dont know what is missed.
Steps that i followed
1. used tcode MASSOBJ- I Added Ztable name to application table for Object type - BUS1001001.Here i dont know what to provide in other attributes of entry example Number, DB table etc. [SCREENSHOT OF MASSOBJ|https://plus.google.com/photos/114088763388693559922/albums/5704943614516268609]
2. Used tcode OMSR- I added entry of Ztable'field here i gave selection group as 211, maint status as KDEVALBQPSZXCFG

After doing these steps Table name and field of table is visible in mm46. But problem is Field is not editable that is in display mode only.

I am trying to add code to existing additional fields available in IT0001 - Field SYHR_A_P0001_AF_PL_CTRY.
I have added code in the field code section, but the field does not get populated.
I also tried to add code to Start of selection / Record processing sections, but the values are not populated.

I want to add a new field in ME21N transaction, please tell me how to add new field in table control in ME21n tcode. I tried by using variant but according to my requirement invisible fields are not useful. I want to add a new field called MAKE with length 25 and i want to populate some text in that and need to display in related form also.
