Adding Material type in selection of report ME2L / ME2m

Dear Friends ,
I want to add Material type as another selection criteria for the report ME2L.
How can i manage it using customising or ABAP enhancements ?
I do fine various enhancement point in its coding but not getting exact clue for managing this .

U can create the Material type in SCOPE LIST, using the scope list u can get a report with Material type in PO"s.
In SPRO u try to create the Material type in scope list.After creating that i m not sure about were to assign that , if u assign properly u get ur requirement.

The program for the t-code ME2L is RM06EL00
In this we have the following portion
Parameter und Select-Options *
After this we have a couple of Select-options and parameters
followed by includes
INCLUDE fm06lcs1.
INCLUDE fm06lcs3.
INCLUDE fm06lcs4.
INCLUDE fm06lcs2.
You can write the select-options/parameters in any of these includes
Fot this..click on the spiral icon-> go to any include
click on "EDIT"(from the top menu) -> "Enhancement operations" -> "show implicit Ehhancement options" -> click on "RM06EL00"(report name)
A different coloured line appears at the bottom of the include.
Place your cursor on this line ..Right click -> "Ehhancement Implementation" -> Create ...give names according to customer name space and write your code here ...then activate it.....
Please also note that this selection must be filtered somewhere..so search the code for the tables that may contain this field and see if an "ENHANCEMENT-SECTION" or point/spot is available

Adding Material Type as a characteristic in COPA

Hi,
I would like to add Material type (like FERT, HALB and so on) as a characteristic in COPA.
Is there a standard characteristic of this kind delivered by SAP??
If I have to create it myself - which table and field is it? Where would the system take this info from? Material master??

You have to create a characterstic Material type and derive teh value of this charasterstic from table lookup uisng MARA table and field MTART.

For Open POs
Got to ME2N
select scope of list as "BEST" and selection parameters as "We101"
For Open PR change scope of list to "BANF"
Get the materials for Open POs and pass them in table "MARA"
select fields Material Type "MTART" and Material Group "MATKL"
Execute to get the desired report

How to Upload different Material with Different Selection View

Hello Experts!
Iu2019m new in ABAP and trying to understand methods of LSMW. Now I get a question for you guys. Let say I need to upload 10 different materials. Now for instance.
1st material has Basic data 1 and Basic data 2.
2nd material has Basic data 1, Purchasing and Purchase Order text
3rd material has Basic data 1, Classification, Purchasing, MRP 1, MRP 2 & MRP 3.
4th material has Basic data 1 & Basic data 2.
5th material has Basic data 1, Classification, Purchasing, MRP 1, MRP 2 & MRP 3.
And so on. Now here Iu2019ve notice that every material has different INDUSTRY SECTOR, MATERIAL TYPE AND SELECTION VIEWS. I understand that Industry Sector, Material Type and other data I can specify in my file but how I can control SELECTION VIEWS for different materials. Because for different Selection view coming screens will become different accordingly.
So can somebody can please tell me how I can control different select views for different material and upload it in SAP.

I understand that you are performing LSMW on MM01 transaction code..and are uploading through batch input in LSMW.
Actually, for a tcode like MM01 I dont think you should use LSMW, instead you can go with the BAPI: BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA.
The views is a serious problem with MM01 when performing using batch input..
So, go through the documentation in SE37 tcode for the BAPI...
The information you get there will help you on how to proceed.

Material Types in Multy-Company Structure

Hello, experts,
We are implementing SAP ERP in a multy-company structure. Seven different company codes will be definied in the same SAP client. Three of these companies (A, B and C) produce similar machines. Another company (D) produces components for the machines that the other three companies (A, B and C) produce. Two of the companies (E and F) are pure wholesalers. They buy materials from the other companies (A, B, C and D) and sell them to external customers.
Another example:
Material X is a component which company D produces. So for company D this is a finished product (FERT). The same material is used as a component in the BOM of material Y, which companies A, B and C produce. So, for companies A, B and C material X is a raw material (ROH) and material Y is a finished product (FERT). Companies E and F buy both material X and material Y from companies D and A, B, C respectively and sell it to external customers. So for companies E and F both material X and Y are trading goods (HAWA).
I guess you see the trouble :). So, what material types shall be defined in this SAP client?

one material can only have one material type.
If you dont want to use standard material types such as FERT, just because the other company does not accept this because for them it is a raw material, then just define an own material type.
a material type is nothing but description with some customizing. It is mainly used to define the layout of a material master, which views and fields will be present.
But people think they need to use the material type as key for reports. This will not work in a intercompany business.
I had such dicussions several times, people often just were confused because a raw material for them becomes a FERT in SAP, so you can ease the discussion by defining an own material type, even this will not solve the reporting issue .

Filter the data loads by material type = FERT or UNBW

I have to load the data from DSO to Cube in which I have to filter by material type = FERT or UNBW, actually this material type is the nav attribute of 0material. But I dont have this 0material or 0matl_type in the source i.e. DSO. How can I achieve this filteration during the loads? Is there a way I can achieve this in startroutine? Or is it a must to include this 0material or 0matl_type in the source i.e. DSO

I see that there is no Material also in your lower level DSO. So now you need to findout atleast one key to compare with the look up object so that the corresponding entries can be tracked.
If atlease Material is there there then you can make a lookup on the Material type Master data and use the selections for the respective Material types for selections and extract the corresponding Marerial relavant documents from lower level DSO.
As its not there you need to find the other key and the respective Master data present for the key lookup if not then the lower level DSO needs to be enhanced.
So check for the details..

SAP report for movement type and material type

Hi!
I would like to use a standard SAP report to give me a list of all the movement types (much like MB51) but instead of material I would like to select on Material type e.g. ROH. The result should for example be a list of the movement types 501 on material type ROH.
It is urgent, if you could help me I would be very greatful!

I have managed to join the two tables and created a report that will work, except that the amounts in local currency that is given by movement type 201 is not negative (as in MB51). I need all movement types that generate a debit must be shown as a negative value. Wo when I summarize all the movement types I end up with the value of 101 minus 201.
Is that possible without ABAP programming?

You can get the report as you required by standard tcode ME2n, ME2M run any of tcode then press Shift+F4 than choose purchase document item > there you will see material type > click on that it will move to ME2N screen . Now enter select material type and provide further data as per your requirement and execute.

Hi,
Once you copied the standard report to Z report, you can MTART in selection screen like below.
and in order to inlcude the same in programming logic, we have three option.
1) Check all related select queries, and include MTART in SELECT query using inner join with MARA.
2) In START-OF-SELECTION event fill MATNR as shown below.
3) If user entered any value in MTART, then before displaying the report just check material type of each material in the final internal table(which is used to display report) delete enteries from internal table accordingly.
START-OF-SELECTION.
IF MTART[] IS NOT INITIAL AND MATNR[] IS INITIAL.
    SELECT MATNR FROM MARA INTO MATNR-LOW WHERE MTART IN MTART.
      MATNR-OPTION = 'EQ'.
      MATNR-SIGN = 'I'.
      APPEND MATNR.
      CLEAR MATNR.
    ENDSELECT.
ENDIF.
The above option has one limitation: The selection screen variables has some restriction, please read the below thread.

Report J1IFR is country specific report of SAP it is not the Standard Report for every country.
Whatever is ther is the best given by SAP considering the requirement of the Reporting regarding Challan reconcillation.
If u still want that ,Then u have to go for the devolopment.

GR55 Report - Need to add Document type in selection parameter

Hi Friends,
Our client needs to have document type in selection parameter for one report group which has 4 reports attached.
Changes have been made and now document type is already there in selection parameter. But irrespective of document type Output is same.
That is if i Give docuement type or not it gives me same output.
This report is bein copies n new report is made.
Can any one help me out with how go proceed further.

You just copied the output from an existing one right....
Inorder to get the report documenmt type wise you also need to change the output format of the report.
Ask your ABAPer to get this tobe done...

Field Selection Based on Material Type

Hello!!
Can any one tell me how to make a single field mandatory in material master based on material type?
I know we can use OMS9 to make it mandatory... the field i was looking is in a field selection group....when i make it mandatory i am actually making all the fields in the field selection group as mandatory...i dont want to do that...i just want to make only one field as mandatory.....
If some one has any kind of training documents...could you please send it across?
