Adding newsletter sign up

I want to add a newsletter sign up box on my iWeb site.
So far I've had no luck finding the right way to do this.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Newsletter sign up form works in Firefox but not IE??

Hi, I have a website I am designing using dreamweaver CS3 and I added a newsletter sign up form using a 3rd party code. The form on the website looks perfectly fine in Firefox but the form fields are not present in IE. Does anyone know why this may be happening? The site is www.physioworks4me.com and I apologise in advance for my coding as I am just learning and not very good at this yet. I took the code that was supplied for the sign up form, opened up a brand new 'plain' html doc in dreamweaver, pasted the code and tried it. It seemed to work fine in both IE and FF....but when I use my template for the webpage I made, it will not work. I am using a XHTML page, could this be a problem with the javascript used for the sign up form? Thanks in advance for your help...

Adding -ve sign to amount field.

Hi all,
I have an amount field . I want to add -ve sign to it and then perform addition or substraction using that field.
I have added -ve sign to the field by declaring another variable as character type, but i am not able to use the field for adition or substraction since its a character field.
please help.

Hi Bharat,
In order to put the '-' in front, you must have a character field. The reason for the * is because the field is not big enough to hold the value. So make the character field a length of 12, move the type p to the type c, and use the function module which i have mentioned.

Newsletter sign-up form

Hi,
Trying to add a form for visitors to a site allowing them to
sign up for an e-mail newsletter. Can anyone point me to a good
tutorial for this task. The dreamweaver side is basic enough but I
guess I will have to make stuff happen at the server side as well
which is not my area of expertise.
Also the site owner is a non techie and she will need to
access the newsletter signup list somehow....

Problem with adding CA signed Certificate to DSEE Ldap Instance

I am trying to enable SSL with the SUN DSEE LDAP server.
DSEE version: 6.0
Solaris version: 10.3
I am following instructions from the SUNDSEE-ADMIN guide to generate the cert request, and got the signed certificate file. So here is my procedure:
1. generate cert request:
dsadm request-cert ...
2. send the request file to CA
3. got the signed cert back from CA with format like this:
----------BEGIN CERTIFICATE------------
----------END OF CERTIFICATE----------
So now I got two files at hand: the cert request, and the signed cert.
Then I am trying to add the cert to the cert store for my LDAP instance:
$ dsadm add-cert /path/to/instance my-cert ldapcert.crt
Unable to find private key for this certificate.
Failed to add the certificate.
$ dsadm add-cert -C /path/to/instance my-cert ldapcert.crt
This command will complete. But if you list cert, you can only see the CA cert, no new server cert.
My question is, where is this private key file stored? I searched on the forum, and someone mentioned the private key is generated when you issue request-cert command.
So how can I add the server cert? What procedure am I missing here? If you only get one cert file which only has the public key in it from CA, how do you add the server cert apart from the CA cert?
Let me know if I have a wrong understanding for the procedure.

I looked at this certificate under windows. It has a certificate chain issued for our LDAP server:
CA root
|----- LDAP server
It looks fine. It is the signed server cert.
I tested import-cert the self-signed cert which has both the private key and public key packed together, and it worked. A new cert is shown up for both "dsadm list-certs" and "dsadm list-certs -C".
But when trying to import the CA-signed server cert, it complains that no private key is found.
I am following instructions from this link:

But if I do add-cert, I got this error:
$ dsadm add-cert /path/to/instance my-cert ldapcert.crt
Unable to find private key for this certificate.

Adding PKI signing certificate to SCUP 2011

I get the error below when trying to add a PKI signing certificate into SCUP. I followed the link below up to step 4, which is where I get the error.

My setup:
Windows Server 2008 R2 hosting WSUS 3.0 SP2, with latest hotfixes applied, SCCM 2012 SP1, and SCUP 2011. I saw in another post that someone was able to get this working by installing Scup on a seperate machine. I'm not sure how they set everything up on
that machine but I have tried with no success.

I'm experiencing the same issue at a customer site. We have server 2012 with CM 2012 R2, when pressing Create to get the self signed cert, the process fails. When creating a self signed certificate, it seems to be okay, we get a cert
error when publishing the update, and then going back into the options it appears the configuration disappeared. Seems like SCUP needs to be update to support Server 2012.

Try creating a new user account (system Preferences -> Users & Groups) and see if it behaves the same.

If a new account and Safe Mode do not change anything, then it is a very good change it is the keyboard.

Muse + BC, adding a sign up form in a secure zone, and a individual my account secured page

Hello,
I having a lot of trouble in the following task I need to do in Adobe Muse and integrate in Business Catalyst.
1) I need to create a contact form page (with username and login)
2) I need that this contact form integrates with BC to store my subscribers infos
3) Then, I need to create a login and username page that when my client logs in, the info that he previously filled in appears to him (as a My Account page).
4) Of course, this My account page must a in a secure zone area, but each client should have his own personal My account page.
Is this possible? I think it is. (Muse Theme site is an example)

Answering the questions :
1) Publish the site to BC and then create a form on BC end , assign to a secure zone ( which you will have to create ).
2) You can register users in your site using same form.
3) Use login form in page where user can login , landing page for secure zone can be made as web app page. Web app needs to be created for customer accounts and in layout you can use different tags to show cases information which user has submitted etc.
4) Web app is the way out.

Can't import an OpenSSL signed cert into a JKS using keytool

Hey everyone,
*[Update]* When I do a "openssl x509 -in server1.pem -issuer -noout" after I've supposedly signed it with the CA, the issuer is, for some reason, the DN string of server1. If server1 generated the CSR, and it is coming up as issued by server1, doesn't that indicate a self signed cert? How could the CA be producing a cert that has an issuer of another server?
I hope this is the right place for this, but I'm having some difficulty using the java keytool and OpenSSL tool on a Solaris system. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have a server (CA server) with OpenSSL installed that I would like to use as a Certificate Authority. The second server (server1) is a WebLogic server with JDK 1.6.0_21. I'm trying to configure it to use a certificate that has been signed by server1.
For some reason it keeps giving me this error when I try to import the signed SSL certificate: keytool error: java.lang.Exception: Public keys in reply and keystore don't match
Am I doing something wrong in this whole process?
1) Generate the Private Key for the CA server
openssl genrsa -out CA.key -des 2048
2) Generate the CSR on the CA
openssl req -new -key CA.key -out CA.csr
3) Sign the new CSR so that it can be used as the root certificate
openssl x509 -extensions v3_ca -trustout -signkey CA.key -days 730 -req -in CA.csr -out CA.pem -extfile /usr/local/ssl/openssl.cnf
4) On server1, create Server Private Key KeyStore
keytool -genkey -alias server1 -keysize 2048 -keyalg RSA -keystore server1.jks -dname "CN=server1.domain.com,OU=Organization,O=Company,L=City,ST=State,C=US"
5) On server1, create a CSR from the recently created Private Key
keytool -certreq -alias server1 -sigalg SHA1WithRSA -keystore server1.jks -file server1.csr
6) Transfer the CSR over to the CA (server1) so that it can be signed
openssl x509 -extensions v3_ca -trustout -signkey CA.key -days 365 -req -in server1.csr -out server1.pem -extfile /usr/local/ssl/openssl.cnf
7) Transfer CA Public Cert to server1 and Import into keytool
keytool -import -trustcacerts -alias CA_Public -file CA.pem -keystore server1.jks
8) Import recently signed CSR to app server keystore (This is where I receive the error)
keytool -import -trustcacerts -alias server1 -file server1.pem -keystore server1.jks

I got it! Here's how I resolved it.
1) Going back to the CA server I went and looked at the server1.pem that was produced. I tried to validate it against the CA's certificate
openssl verify -CAFile CA.pem server1.pem
server1.pem: /C=REDACTED/ST=REDACTED/L=REDACTED/O=REDACTED/OU=REDACTED/CN=server1.domain.com
error 18 at 0 depth lookup:self signed certificate
OK
Seemed to be a clear indication that the certificate was not properly signed by OpenSSL.
2) I tried signing it using a different command I found here: http://www.dylanbeattie.net/docs/openssl_iis_ssl_howto.html
openssl ca -policy policy_match -config openssl.cnf -extensions v3_ca -cert CA.pem -in server1.csr -keyfile CA.key -days 365 -out server1.pem
I received a much different set of responses from OpenSSL including
+Sign the certificate? [y/n]+
+1 out of 1 certificate requests certified, commit? [y/n]+
3) I tried my validate command again and got a plain "OK"
4) I now tried to import this new server1.pem using the keytool command and actually got the following error:
keytool error: java.security.cert.CertificateParsingException: invalid
DER-encoded certificate data
5) When I looked at the file it seems that OpenSSL had added quite a bit of extra certificate information to the file. I deleted everything up to (but not including) the -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE----- line and tried the import one more time and it imported successfully!

I have created a small newsletter that is to become a quarterly nationally distributed via a private sect of a website. I have been told the webmaster cannot "index" the issue with the table of contents ,previous issues already published and how to transmit this to them in a usable form. any suggestions??

"Message Sending Failed" after adding the country code number?

I changed a contact's number (in this case I simply added a country code to it) and now the messages aren't sending to the number I changed it to. How can I get the SMS library to redirect itself to the new number? When I delete the contact, the SMS library shows that it is still sending to the old number.
The only solution I've found on the internet so far is delete the SMS library. I have tested it with other numbers in which I added a country code to as well and it works. But the text messages for this particular contact are very important and I need to keep them. Is there ANY way I can redirect an old SMS library to a new number?

Hi, Thilina66. You say you have entered the country code but still cannot make international calls. I suppose you are adding the international access code before the country code. This internaltional access code (011 in the US, 00 in Europe, etc.) can be substituted by adding a + sign before the country code.
For example, to call a number in the UK from the US you have to dial:
011 44 7540 267898
or
+44 7540 267898
To call a number in the US from the UK you have to dial:
00 1 212 456 1470
or
+1 212 456 1470
Please check that the contact number in your address book is correctly written if you are dialing directly from the address book or that you enter the correct numbers in the keyboard if you are dialing from the keyboard.

Synching Yahoo Account With Sign-in Seal

Recently, my Yahoo account was compromised, so I changed my password and added a sign-in seal to my account on my PC. However, due to the sign-in seal, it now seems I'm not able to access me Yahoo e-mail from my iPhone.
Does anyone know if there is a way to allow my iPhone to be authorized without removing the seal from my Yahoo account?

Unlikely as its a new yahoo feature that the simple email clients was never designed to handle.
You can suggest this to Apple here, but even if successful, it may be a while.
