Adding TS commands to toolbar in OI

Hi,
is it possible to add TS commands to a toolbar of a CVI written OI similar to TS_InsertCommandsInMenu?
Thanks in advance for support.
Regards
Steffen Schmdit

Currently, there are no environment specific helper functions for putting commands in toolbars. However, you can still easily execute commands from toolbar buttons your create.
To get a command object, call  <ManagerControl>.GetCommand.  The command object has methods to execute the command, determine if it is enabled, etc.

  • Word 2013 - Publish as PDF or XPS button causes excessive registry queries / high CPU when added to quick access toolbar

    After installing Office 2013 Pro Plus on our XenApp 6.5 environment we noticed a drop in performance. Using taskmanager we could see winword.exe hit 20+% CPU usage when filling just 1 line with the same letter.
    Some investigating lead us to the "Publish as PDF or XPS button", when it is added to the quick access toolbar the cpu usage doubles during keystrokes. Using procmon I noticed excessive registry reading, up to 150,000 lines in 10 seconds.
    It seems to be a constant loop of the same queries to approx. 100 components in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Components\
    I reproduced this in 3 different setups:
    Win2008R2 + Office2013 Pro Plus 32-bit + Office 2013 updates until 12-nov 2014
    Win 8.1 Laptop + Office2013 Pro Plus 32-bit + Office 2013 updates until 05-jan 2015
    Win 8.1 Desktop + Office2013 Pro Plus 64-bit + Office 2013 updates until 17-dec 2014
    Can anyone verify this behaviour? For now we've removed the shortcut from the quick access toolbar in our environment.
    Here's a small portion of the queries.

    I'll do that, I'm however still interested if somebody can confirm the excessive registry queries.
    As a brief test, I captured winword.exe (2013) registry-reads on my Win8.1 pc (64bit Windows), with ProcMon.
    this is over a capture period of less than one second
    2092 of 2352 contain "component" in the reg path
    this is when I have winword open and whilst "File, Export" is displayed (this is what offers the export-to-PDF option)
    vs.  168 registry operations in an interval of 10 seconds, by winword.exe, if word is simply "running in background with an open blank document"
    I'm not sure if that is useful, but it seems an awful lot of registry reads/writes from an application which isn't apparently doing anything at the time..
    EDIT: similar registry read/write rate, when save-as-pdf is added to QAT (again sitting idle on a blank document). the registry read/write rate drops back down to 160 if the save-as-pdf feature is then removed from QAT.

  • Add commands to toolbar?

    I'd like to add some of the less common commands (those that don't even rate a keystroke shortcut) to the toolbar. Needless to say these aren't an option in the customize toolbar screen.
    I'd like to add Insert Equation (From MathType) and Shape>Make Editable. Both of these are from the Format menu I think.
    Is there anyway to make this happen?

    I'd feel better if someone just said "can't do it."
    Your silence gives me hope, internet.

  • XMonad: Adding a Command to Util.Run

    I feel like I lack some basic understanding of how XMonad functions and would appreciate some help.
    So in xmonad.hs modules are imported to perform different functions, and non-default settings can be applied under the 'main= do' section. What I would like to do is launch dmenu_run with custom options, rather than the default; specifically:
    dmenu_run -p > -nb black -nf gray -sb black -sf white
    dmenu is controlled by the module 'XMonad.Util.Run'. The default keybind to launch dmenu_run in XMonad is MOD+p, so I assume that information is stored somewhere and could be changed by adding a line in xmonad.hs. Is that right? Where is that default keybind actually stored, in the settings of the Util.Run module? I just migrated from Openbox, so actually adding a new line into xmonad.hs to perform this change is a little over my head, and I could use some help doing it.
    Last edited by Olson (2011-03-22 23:56:52)

    Could you post the relevant sections in your xmonad.hs (or even better, the entire file) along with what you want to do (even in pseudocode directly injected into your config)? I too use Xmonad but I don't use dmenu and I'm a little lost from your description.
    Oh, and XMonad.Util.Run is a command spawning helper module; it has nothing to do with dmenu. So your question about a "default keybind" being stored in the Util.Run module makes no sense.

  • Adding simple commands to boot under systemd

    now that the rc.xxxx files are gone, where is the preferred location for adding a simple command one might like to execute upon boot, e.g. "echo 'search somewhere.somedomain' >> /etc/resolv.conf"
    obviously there are several ways to do this, i'm just wondering what a systemd expert would do.

    djg1971 wrote:olive:  please try to think a little more abstractly.  it is not for you to judge whose one-line commands are good, not good, stupid, etc.
    Please read my posts more carefully. I never said that there is no valid reason to run a custom command at boot, I was just pointed out, in a part of my post, that your example was not the best one; that's all and I do not understand why it seems to affect you so much.
    Anyway, forget about the bad example. I have tried to answer your original question the best as I could: to run a custom command at boot, you have to write a .service or use a general rc-local script but apparently you do not like the answer. What do you want now? I do not know if I am an expert but I have read enough of systemd to know there is no real other way: systemd take in charge every program that is run at boot via .services (or .target, etc...) files. So this is the way you have to follow to run a custom command at boot. Writing a .service file is not that difficult, maybe easier than to write a custom rc.somewhat file. Just take one existing .service file, understand what there is in it and modify it.
    The post of ewaller give a method to create tempory files, often used by .service files (or the programs they launches); I was not under the impression that is what you really want.
    As for the benefits of systemd, there are a few advantages. Anyway it is not me that I have decided to switch to systemd and discussing lengthy of the advantages of disadvantages of it would lead to nowhere.

  • Adding 'FIND' functionality in toolbar of ALV Web Dynpro ABAP

    Hi Friends,
    I need to know whether we can add FIND functionality in toolbar of ALV display. If yes than which class will help in that, or do i need to code it.
    Pls help on this.
    Regards,
    Saud

    Hi Saud,
        If you mean that you need to highlight the Field-Value then, you can use Set Focus On A Table Cell .
    You can use the method REQUEST_FOCUS_ON_VIEW_ELEM of if_wd_view.
    For this, you can see this post --
                               How to set focus on a specific UI field at the start of an application?
    Further, you have to design 'find input-screen', submitting which will set focus on the cell that contains requested value.
    This way, you can add ( or somehow, simulate ) the Functionality of FIND, although not per se.
    Thanks.

  • Adding Custom command in Call Sidebar in Lync Client 2013

    I created a Lync custom command, that appears when user right click on the contact. My application is a telephony integration. I want my option to be appear in Call side menu when right clicking on the contact. Is there any way I can achieve this ?
    I used the following registry keys to create my commands
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync\SessionManager\Apps\{3E0352E8-21F3-4E00-AA46-2ADA7085C9AD}]
    "Name"="My App"
    "ApplicationType"=dword:00000000
    "ApplicationInstallPath"="C:\\telephony.exe"
    "Path"="C:\\telephony.exe /userId=%user-id% /contactId=%contact-id%"
    "SessionType"=dword:00000000
    "ExtensibleMenu"="ConversationWindowRightClick;MainWindowRightClick"

    There are addition options you can specify in the ExtensibleMenu options.
    "MainWindowActions;MainWindowRightClick;ConversationWindowRightClick;ContactCardMenu;ConversationWindowActions"
    I think you want ConversationWindowActions but we ware they will show up on both IM and Calls, so you may have to handle the code behind a little different depending on the modalites your conversation has.

    I can't seem to have a couple commands starting automatically. I've searched around alot and couldn't find anything helpful eith my issue.
    I've been using "gnome-session-properties" and .xinitrc to add these two commands (xbindkeys, and a xinput mapping for my 'weird' acer touchpad/mediakeys) but they do not seem to start with the session. If i put them in in the console everything works fine so it's not an error in them.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I am trying to switch from IE8 to Firefox but am having trouble adding all of the toolbars I use daily to Firefox. I want to add CouponBar from Coupons.com, Roboform (which it said was added, but is not showing up), Adobe Contribute CS3, and Canon Easy-Web Print EX (for my Canon MX340 printer). Please advise!

    For Roboform you can install the adapter for Firefox from here.
    http://www.roboform.com/browsers.html
    You want the one under '''Firefox, Mozilla and Netscape'''.
    Browser Version XPI file to use if not installed automatically
    '''Firefox 3.0 - 3.7a1pre ''Installed Automatically (roboform-firefox-3.0-frozen.xpi)'''''
    Or, you can install it with this link:
    http://www.roboform.com/dist/roboform-firefox-3.0-frozen.xpi
    As far as the other three programs you mentioned, check the websites for those programs to see if they even have a toolbar that is made for Firefox.
