Addition of a partner function

Hello,
I have a customer master to which someone has added a new partner function (Fax partner). However, this was not captured in the changes. Could someone please tell me if this change can be seen somewhere?
Thanks very much.

Hi,
Run the report rsscd100 with tcode SE38. In object set 'DEBI' and in ID object set the number of the customer with lenght 10 (ie: write the zeros in the left side), set a range of dates (from you think that it must be done) and in the field table search the values for KNVP and the insert values. You could see the user, date, hour and tcode.
I hope this helps you
REgards,
Eduardo

  • BAPI to add additional partner functions in customer master(KNA1)

    Hello All,
I wanted to add additional partner functions(2) to the list of partner functions which gets added by default while creating a customer. I am currently using BAPI_CUSTOMER_CREATEDATA1 to create the customer master. There i do not find any option to add my partner functions.
NOTE: I need to update KUNN2 field as well while adding my partner functions.
    Could anyone please help here?
    Regards,
    Jay

    Hi,
No you should not feel confident with SD_CUSTOMER_MAINTAIN_ALL.
It is used for only one very special case. The maintenance of consumer. And this should only be true from the transaction itself.
There exists other cases, one of the oldest one is the BAPI_CUSTOMER_CREATEFROMDATA1. But is is exclusively reserved for SAP Online store.
Despite the fact CMD_EI_API is quite difficult to use, it has the main benefit that is it supported if being triggered directly.
For the maintenance of customers, there is NO BAPI and NO direct function module.
There are some functions modules like the one above where the name is looking nice. But these should not be used.
The only valid solutions are :
Below ECC 2005 (6.00), the only solution was batch input and DEBMAS idocs. See note 384462
Starting with ECC 2005 (6.00) and above: a synchronisation tool has been introduce. See class CMD_EI_API and VMD_EI_API
    Hope this helps

  • Partner function addition

    Hi !
I have an existing customer defined as a Ship-to-Party( account group-0002). Now I want to define this customer as a Sold-to-Party(account group 0001).
I tried the same by adding the Sold-to-party in the partner functions tab under Sales Area tab of customer master. But the system is not accepting this and throwing an error message.
Do I have to create a new code for resolving this or is there any way out to add the partner function under the existing code.
    Plz help.
    Regards,
    Shamik

    Samik,
If you want to use thsi customer as Sold to party also, you have to change the account group of this customer. For this go to XD07 give the customer number and change the account group to 0001.
    But
The field group settings for the present and future account groups should not be conflicting. If this is the case then change of account group should not be done.
For example, say Customer pricing procedure should not be a required field in sold to party, but a hidden field in ship to party. Hope you understand now.
Pls reward if this helps you

  • New Partner Function in CRM (Solution Manager Service Desk)

    Hi CRM Gurus!,
Even if this problem is present in my Solution Manager Service Desk I'm creating this thread here in CRM Forum because I thin'k I need the experience of one CRM Expert. Í´ve created this question in Solution Manager Forum also but I hadn´t solved my problem yet.
We add the partner function called "Additional Partner", but I don't know why in the tab "Partners" in the CRM transaction we want to add a new partner but in the partners combo the new one does not appear in the list.
The procedure that I did was: I created a new business partner function and I added this new function to my partner determination procedure, then in SPRO: "Define Partner Determination Procedures" -> I set the option "Only Functions Assigned in Procedure".
These are the values. fro my new function:
    Function: ZSLFN004
    Text: Additional Processor
    Abbrev.: ZAMS
    Function Cat.: 0008 Person Responsible
    Usage: CRM Customer Relationship Managem.
Relatshp Cat: CRMH06 Is Responsible BP For
The partner functions in my procedure are:
    00000001 Sold-To Party (CRM)
    00000046 Approved by (CRM)
    SLFN0001 System Administrator (CRM)
    SLFN0002 Reported by (CRM)
    SLFN0003 Support Team (CRM)
    SLFN0004 Message Processor (CRM)
    ZSLFN004 Additional Processor (CRM)
But in the transactions when I try to add a new partner in the partners tab only the follow functions appears in the combo:
    00000001 Sold-To Party (CRM)
    00000046 Approved by (CRM)
    SLFN0001 System Administrator (CRM)
    SLFN0002 Reported by (CRM)
    SLFN0003 Support Team (CRM)
    SLFN0004 Message Processor (CRM)
I don't know why my ZSLFN004 is not listed in the combo.
By the way, my function was created as a copy of SLFN0004.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Regards
    Gustavo Balboa

    Hi Vishant,
Thanks for your answer, but some one in the Solution Manager forum gave me the answer few minutes ago :). The problem was that in some transaction types (I don't know wich ones or if it aplies to all) the category 0008 - Person Responsible can only appear once, my partner function was a copy of the function SLFN0004 - Message Processor and that function is defined with the category 0008, so I had 2 partner functions defined in the category 0008.
To solve the problem I just adjust my Z function and put the category 0016 - Service Team and let the relationship empty. Then the partner function is now showing in the combo at partners tab.
Again, thanks anyway for the time that you take to answer my question.
    Regards

  • RE:Business partner functions in customer Master creation

Do we need to send the Business partner functions while creating record in R3 thru MDM.
For any account group i pass the Idoc is expecting all Business partner functions to be defined for the account group to which am trying to create Customer.(As SH,BP,PY..)
Can anyone please explain me in brief the Business partner function -Problem in my scenerio............................Concept of  Business Partner function while creating Customer.

In ECC partner functions are used when you have multiple addresses for the same customer.  The partner function links those address records together.  You could have multiple unique customer numbers on the KNA1 table, but in the KNVVP table (partner functions) you maintain the linkage between the main table records.
Partner functions are not recommended in MDM.  These are generally not considered to be "enterprise level attributes" and therefore shouldn't reside in your customer repository in a central create scenario.  Additionally, some of the complexity required to model partner functions can't be modeled in MDM at this time.  When 7.1 comes out, there is a new data type called "tuples" which supports deeply nested structures, and therefore you could model a true partner function table inside the sales area table.

  • How to include a new Z Partner Function in Sales order header drop down lis

    Hello SAP experts,
We have come up with a new requirement to include a custom Partner Function-ZI  in dropdown of SO header-Partners field.
Current scenario- Presently we are maintaining this partner function  ( Say ZI-  Institute ) in customer master data-Sales area tab. There could be more than one partners under this PF in master data. While entering sales Order, all partners associated are displayed in Header- partners tab, where only SP, SH, BP, PY partner functions are displayed.
Requirement- 1. Is to  provide Drop down of this ZI-Institute partner function (which I did not find presently) in SO header-partners field and user should be able to provide one of partner function as available in Customer master ( as there are more than one partners that can be set in Customer master data but user need to be able to provide ONE of this ZI partner fucntion in DROPDOWN of PF tab in SO header ).
    2. In addition, How can I link this new partner function in related sales reports against that particulat order and invoice?
Kindly suggest your valuable inputs as what should be the procedure to get this.
    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Go to partner determination by VOPA
    OR
IMG >> SD >> Basic function >> Set up partner functions >> set up partner function for sales document header
click on partner function and Maintain partner function ZI  and back
Then select your existing partner determination procedure (Standard is TA) and click on PARTNER FUNCTIONS IN PROCEDURE and add partner function. and make it mandatory so even user forget to mention then at the time of saving system can remind user
Then double click on PARTNER DETERMINATION PROCEDURE ASSIGNMENT
Assign partner procedure to sales document
Now when you creating sales order go to header partner tab and enter you institute partner number
For sales order and invoice report
Execute this report by selecting partner function ZI in VA05N and VF05 respectively

  • Using Partner Functions to set up Person Responsible?

    Hello All,
Can someone please advise what the best practice is for creating individual personnel entires for engineers within Plant Maintenance.
In the past we have used work centres to identify individuals. This is causing issues with capacity planning and so I want to use an alternative method.
I can see that Personnel No's can be created, however, this appears to require the use of the SAP HR module where the master data for these records are held, unfortunately we do not use SAP HR and so cannot use this here.
Can I use Partner Functions to resolve this issue and if so how do I set it up?
Essentially I want to create Work Centres for specific skill sets i.e Electician, Mechanic etc and then assign individuals to the appropriate groups. That way we can plan and record time against individual engineers.
As always any help is appreaciated.
    Regards
    Chris

    Pete / Narasimhan
    Thankyou for your replys.
I have not come across Mini HR Master previously so don't know how this works. We do not have the HR module installed and therefore I didn't think this would be a option.
We have always set up individuals as Work Centres but having read through the 'Plant Maintenance with SAP' book I am lead to believe this is not best practice?
Ultimately we would like to be able identify individuals so that we can assign jobs and plan capacity.  We also want to be able to assign individuals to specific work centres which would identify there particular skill set.
Do we need to purchase an additional module to use HR Mini Master? How does this work?

  • Opportunities in account overview without partner function dependency

    Hello,
on the account overview page we can see the opportunities as well as the interaction history for a account.
In the interaction history frame we can see every activity and opportunity where the account is involved.
In the opportunities frame we could only see these opportunities where the account has a special partner function in the opportunity.
For example the main account role is prospect.
This account is involved in several opportunities with several different partner functions in the opportunities.
We can only see these opportunities in the account overview where he is assigned with the role prospect.
We did a customization for the time-frame in IMG: Customer Relationship Management => Master Data => Business Partner => Specify Display Options for Business Transactions.
Is there a similar way to customize the partner function dependency for display?
Or is there another way to show all the opportunities (in the opportunity frame) where the account is involved, without partner function dependency?
Best regards and thanks in advance
    Matthias Breuer

    Matthias,
I believe you could influence this via the BADI CRM_BP_UIU_BT in enhancement spot CRM_UIU_BP_ENHANCEMENT.  You can edit the selection criteria CT_SELECTION_PARAM as needed.
You can review the code CL_BUPA_IL_OPPORTUNITY_COMP to determine what criteria is being pouplated before the BADI is being called.  In addition the filter value of the implementation needs to be 'BPQOPP'.  From what I have seen SAP is hard-coding the partner type selection for the opportunity selection.
    Take care,
    Stephen

  • Additonal partner functions at the business agreement

    Hi Experts,
We have a requirement to pass on one of the partner functions to the clerk responsible field at the contract account in IS-U.
For this ,we want to use the additional partner functions section at the buisness agreement level in CRM.
We have maintained the partner function which we want to replicate in IS-U in the configurations settings for IS-U under the following path-
SPRO->Financial Accounting->Contract Account AR&AP->Integration->Customer Relationship Mgmt->Buisness Agreement->Define determination of Clerk responsible for Replication from CRM.
Now the problem, is when we are giving the partner function along with the business partner value in the "addtional partner functions" section under the BA tab in CRM,and saving it , the changes are not getting saved and no B-Doc is getting fired.
However, when we are using any other partner function like alternate payer, dunning recipent in the same BA tab and saving it, it is working fine and the partner function value is replicated in the clerk responsible field at the contract account in IS-U.
Can anyone please help me in solving the issue?
    Thanks in advance.
    Cheers,
    Amlan

Try use BADI BUPA_GENERAL_EXPORT. In method GENERAL_DATA_EXPORT you can check main BP data and raise error.
    Example for method if_ex_bupa_general_export~general_data_export:
    DATA: l_but000 TYPE but000,
            return TYPE bapiret2.
      SELECT SINGLE * FROM but000 INTO l_but000
        WHERE name_last = is_but000-name_last
        AND   name_first = is_but000-name_first.
      IF sy-subrc IS INITIAL.
        return-type = 'E'.
        return-id = 'BC'.
        return-number = '701'.
        return-message_v1 = 'Check error'.
        APPEND return TO ct_return.
      ENDIF.

  • A new partner function is been defined for a particular customer in r/3?

    Hi All,
There is a new partner functions been defined for a customer apart from soldto, shipto, payer, billtoparty partner functions.
The new partner functions is Sales head.
And how to i bring the sales head information from the customer master from r/3 to bw?
Do i need to create a new zobject nor enhance the customer master ? nor simply create an sales head object in bw and define the characteristics as Reference characteristics??
    pls help me !!
    Thanks
    Pooja

    Hi,
You should enhance the standard Data source 0customer_attr with that additional partner function (sales head) as per the proper logic and replicate the same . if it is 3.5 that same object( related to that field length and data type) same object can be added as attribute at info object level and do the transfer rules   and activate that and try to the load.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • CRM Relationship to ECC Customer Partner function

    Hi,
When a BP is created in SAP CRM it is replicated to SAP ECC as a customer.
The mapping of the BP classification to Account group has been made in transaction PIDE. A partner determination procedure is also been assigned to the account group.
Now, when the BP is replicated to ECC, the customer is created however the partner functions like Sold-to, Ship-to, Bill-to and Payer are not populated automatically.
    Example.
BP 1001 is created in SAP CRM
In ECC Customer 1001 is created, however in the sales area data (partner function) tab no partner function is populated.
I was expecting the partner functions to be as follows
    Sold-to 1001,
    Bill-to 1001,
    Ship-to 1001,
    Payer 1001.
This however remains empty and has to be updated manually right now. How can this be fixed? Do I need to do any additional configuration?
Also if I maintain a relationship  in CRM for the BP say bill-to relationship, the partner function should be populated with the right BP(customer) number in SAP ECC.

    Hi,
For partner to be determined in BP ,you have to set up partner determination for Customer Master in ECC..
    path: spro-SD-BF-part determination
    -create partner Det procdure
    -Assign the partner functions.
-Assign the partner determination to your account group.
    Hope it helps..
    Thanks,

  • Partner Function Tab

    - Hi All,
Need some help on the following: we´re implementing the 'Accounts' functionality of CRM V4.0 for the SAP Portal V6.0 and when we access the 'Relationship' tab inside a contact person, depending on the relationship you create for that contact person, it opens a additional tab (down the screen on the 'details area 2')called 'Partner Function', in order to enter data related to sales organization and so on.
I would like to eliminate this tab ('Partner Function') inside the relationship tab - could anybody help me on that ? I´ve checked already the 'BUBA' transaction, made some tests but it didn´t reflected on the Portal.
         Thanks in advance,

    1. Partner Determination
SP, SH, BP, Payer are key to document processing. Automatic partner determination happens in the sales document, delivery and billing documents, sales activities, and the customer master record.
IMG  SD  Basic fncs  Partner fncs, define partner fncs [VOPA]
Each partner function can be assigned a partner type. This partner type specifies whether the partner is a customer, contact person, or vendor.

  • Partner function upload-lsmw

    Dear Experts,
how to upload partner functions by using LSMW. I developed LSMW and if i go to partner function tab there is only one partner function field is available I need to upload 4 partner functions. Can any one help me out in this regard.
    regards,
    siva

    Hello Sivasai Myneni,
    Demo Example 1
LSMW to Update Customer Master Records with Transaction Recording
Call Legacy System Migration Workbench by entering transaction code LSMW. Every conversion task is grouped together as
Project / Subproject / Object structure. Create a Project called LSMW_DEMO and a Subproject as CUSTOMERS and Object as
CUST_obj as shown in Figure 1.
Figure 1 Conversion Task with Project, Subproject and Object
The main screen of LSMW provides wizard-like step-by-step tasks, as shown in Figure 2. To complete your data conversion, you
need to execute these steps in sequence. Once a step is executed, the cursor is automatically positioned to the next step.
Note that these steps may look different depending upon your Personal menu settings. You could make step numbers visible by
‘Numbers on’ icon or hidden by ‘Numbers off’ icon. You can execute a step by double-clicking on the row. Toggle icon
‘Doubleclick=Display’ or ‘Doubleclick=Edit’, makes the step in ‘display’ mode or ‘change’ mode.
Figure 2 LSMW Wizard – initial screen
    Step 1: Maintain Object attributes
In this example, you will be updating the customer master records with the help of recording a transaction (XD02). Choose radio
button Batch Input Recording and click on the recording overview icon to record the R/3 transaction. Enter the Recording name as
XD02_REC, the description as Customer Master Updates Recording, and the transaction code as XD02.
Figure 3 Object type ‘Transaction Recording’
The system calls the transaction code XD02 and prompts you to complete the Change
Customer transaction, as shown in Figure 4. Enter the key customer information (I entered customer number 1000, sales
organization 1000, distribution channel 01, and division 00) and choose ‘Sales’ view within ‘Sales area data’. Make changes to
these three fields (I entered, sales office 1010, sales group 110, and customer group 01) and save the transaction.
Figure 4 Transaction recording for Transaction Code ‘XD02’
Once the transaction is completed, R/3 records the flow of screens and fields and saves the information, as shown in Figure 5.
    Figure 5 Transaction recording overview
Note that the fields are populated with default values. The values you entered when you recorded the transaction are set by
    default.
Note that if you have more fields in the recording than needed, you can remove them by clicking ‘Remove Screen field’ icon.
Observe that the transaction-recording process stores field names in a technical format. By pressing the F1 key on individual
screen fields and then pressing the F9 key, the system displays technical names. You then can replace the technical names with
descriptive names. Double-click on the field RF02D-KUNNR and enter the name as KUNNR and the description as Customer
Account Number and remove the default value. (See Figure 6.)
    Figure 6 Field attributes
Similarly, double-click on all other fields with default values and make appropriate changes. Once you have made changes, the
recording overview screen looks like what you see in Figure 7.
Figure 7 Transaction Recording Overview – with screen field attributes
Save your changes. When you go back to the initial screen, you will see that the initial screen steps have changed. Since you want
to import data via the BDC method, the Direct Input and IDoc-related steps are hidden, as they are not relevant.
    Step 2. Maintain Source Structures
Give a name and a description to the source structure (Figure 8).
    Figure 8 Source Structure
    Step 3. Maintain Source Fields
In this step, you need to list what fields are present in the source structure. The easiest way is to click on ‘Table Maintenance’ icon
to enter Fieldname, Type and Length for each field as shown in Figure 9.
Figure 9 Source fields of source Structure
Note that your input file will have four fields as key fields and you need to update three fields in the system.
    Step 4: Maintain Structure Relations
Execute a step to ‘Maintain Structure Relations’. (See Figure 10.) Since, there is only one Source and Target Structure, the
    relationship is defaulted automatically.
    Figure 10 Structure Relation
Step 5: Maintain field mapping and conversion rules
Field RF02D-D0310 represents that you chose ‘Sales view’ for the customer Master screen accordingly its value should be set to
    X. Keep your cursor on field RF02D-D0310 and click on Constant rule icon to choose the constant value of ‘X’.
If your source file already has the field value, you choose rule ‘Source Field’.
Keep cursor on field ‘KUNNR’ and click on ‘Assign Source field’ icon to choose source field CUSTOMER from structure XD02S as
    shown in Figure 11.
    Figure 11 Assign source fields
Similarly, assign ‘Source Field’ rules to the remaining fields.
Once all the fields are mapped, you should have an overview screen as shown in Figure 12.
Figure 12 Field mapping and Conversion rules overview
Step 6: Maintain fixed values, translations, user-defined routines
You can also maintain re-usable translations and user-defined routines, which can be used across conversion tasks. In this case,
    that step is not required.
    Step 7: Specify files
In this step, we define how the layout of the input file is. The input file is a [Tab] delimited with the first row as field names. It is
present on my PC (local drive) as C:\XD02.txt. (See Figure 13.)
    Figure 13 File attributes
Create an Excel file (Figure 14) with your data and save it as a Tab-delimited text file on your local drive (C:\) and name it XD02.
    txt.
Figure 14 Source data in Excel file (saved as Tab delimited file)
    Step 8: Assign files
Execute step ‘Assign Files’ (Figure 15) and the system automatically defaults the filename to the source structure.
Figure 15 Assign file to Source Structure
    Step 9: Read data
In this step, LSMW reads the data (Figure 16) from the source file (from your PC’s local drive). You have the option to read only
selected rows and convert data values to Internal format.
    Figure 16 Read Data
    Step 10: Display read data
This step (Figure 17) is optional. If required, you can review the field contents for the rows of data read.
    Figure 17 Display Read Data
    Step 11: Convert data
This is the step that actually converts the source data (in source format) to a target format. Based on the conversion rules defined,
source fields are mapped to target fields.
    Step 12: Display Converted data
Again this is an optional step to view how the source data is converted to internal SAP format (Figure 18).
    Figure 18 Display Converted Data
Step 13: Create batch input session
Once the source data is converted in an internal format, you can create a batch session to process updates (Figure 19).
Figure 19 Create Batch Input Session
Step 14: Run Batch Input Session
You can execute the BDC session by Run Batch input session. Executing a batch input session is a standard SM35 transaction for
managing BDC sessions. Once you have successfully executed the batch input session, the customer master records are updated in
the system. You can confirm this by viewing the customer master records (XD03).
Note! Browsing thru these 14 steps, you may get a feeling that this is a very lengthy and time-consuming activity. However, for
the purposes of demonstration, I have made it detailed. Although it looks lengthy, actually it takes hardly few hours from start-to-
finish! After playing around with few simple LSMW scripts, you will find it so easy to change and create more complex ones.
    Demo Example 2
LSMW to Update Customer Master Records with Standard Object
As an alternative to using ‘Transaction Recording’, you could also use a standard SAP object to update Customer Master Records.
Business Object ‘0050’ is already pre-defined in the system with standard Batch Input Interface Program ‘RFBIDE00’.
Create an Object CUST_OBJ within Project as LSMW_DEMO and Subproject as CUSTOMERS as shown in Figure 20.
Figure 20 LSMW Object with Standard SAP Object
Note! For the Demo example 2, I will list only those steps that are different from the first demo example.
    Step 1: Maintain Object attributes
You will be updating the customer master records with the help of Standard Batch Input; therefore, choose radio-button Standard
Batch/Direct Input as shown in Figure 21. Enter Object ‘0050’ for Customer Master records and default method ‘0000’ and click
    on Save.
Figure 21 Standard Batch/Direct Input Object Attributes
    Step 4: Maintain Structure Relations
Sales view of Customer Master is stored in table KNVV. Accordingly, you need to update structure BKNVV. However, in addition,
the Standard Object ‘0050’ also requires updates to BGR00, BKN00 and BKNA1 structures. (If you do not maintain Structure
relations for mandatory entries, you might get a message such as ‘Target structure BKNA1 needs a relation to a source structure’.)
Even though you don’t want to update any fields in these structures, you need to create a relationship with source structures. In
all, you need to create relationship for four target structures.
Create relationship between source structures XD02S with these target structures with icon ‘Create Relationship’ .
Keep Cursor on these four target structures and click on icon ‘Create Relation’ and structure relations are maintained as shown in
    Figure 22.
    Figure 22 Structure Relation
Step 5: Maintain field mapping and conversion rules
    – Keep your cursor on ‘TCODE’ field and click on ‘Insert Rule’ icon
    Figure 23 LSMW Conversion Rules
Choose radio button ‘Constant’ (Figure 23) to enter value ‘XD02’ transaction code.
    – Keep your cursor on field ‘KUNNR’ and click on ‘Assign source field’ icon
Choose source field ‘Customer’ from source structure ‘XD02S’. (See Figure 24.)
    Figure 24 Assign Source fields
    – Similarly, choose source fields for Sales Organization, Distribution Channel, and Division. (See Figure 25.)
Figure 25 Field Mapping and Conversion Rules
    – Scroll down to structure BKNVV fields and assign source fields to three fields Sales Office, Sales Group, and Customer Group
    (Figure 26).
Figure 26 Field Mapping and Conversion Rules
Save and go back to main screen.
    Step 12: Display Converted data
When you convert data, LSMW automatically converts into the appropriate structure layouts, as required by Standard program
    (RFBIDE00). (See Figure 27).
Figure 27 Converted data into multiple structures
Note that if you had only one record in source file, the converted file has four records.
Earlier, creating this input file, so that the standard interface program can read it, was a big nightmare, the primary reason being
that it could have multiple record layouts. Even for a simple conversion with one input record, you would have to create this
complex file with many record layouts. The advantage of LSMW is that it prepares these multi-layout files automatically.
Step 13: Create batch input session
Once source data is converted in internal format, you can create a BDC session to process the updates (Figures 28 and 29).
