Adf.oracle.domain error
Hello.
Some days ago i find one problem with deploying adf applications on Weblogic via http://<IP>:<PORT>/console:
extension-name adf.oracle.domain, exact-match false.
This Weblogic have 2 servers Admin and Main. This problem happens only after deploying to Main server. I find some information about it and shared ADF libraries from one tirget(Admin) to both targets(Admin, Main). I helped me.
But one other Server with weblogic (10.3.1) has not got any libraries. The Deployment panel in web console is empty. There are no applications and it gives me same error: extension-name adf.oracle.domain, exact-match false.
How i can add ADF libraries to the weblogic?
P.S.: Configurtion wizard has only 1 parameter in Extesions: Basic Weblogic Server Domain.
How i can add more extension libraries?
use JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.0 and applications will be deployed to WeblogicServer v 10.3.1.0.You need to use the correct version: JDev 11.1.1.3 needs WLS 10.3.3

Try OC4J with the VM installed with JDeveloper. Also, you might want to try 1.3.1_02 (just to see if that works on your machine)

ADF Server Domain Requirement on Oracle WLS 11g
Hi All....
I am new to ADF
I would like to know if it is necessary to create an ADF server domain, or perform ADF specific configuration on WLS in order to deploy and run ADF web Apps on Oracle Weblogic Server 11g?
Or can ADF web apps be deployed directly to the Admin Server without extra server configuration?
I am migrating an ADF web app from WLS10g to WLS11g.
Web App runs perfect on 10g...Though 10g contains an ADF server domain.
I have deployed the Web app directly onto the Admin Server on 11g...(NO ADF Server Domain)
The Web App runs, but does not display some components (buttons, tables, etc) on some pages. I am not seeing any errors or exceptions either.
I think this may have to do with the Environment I am running the App in.
Can you please guide/advise me as to what needs to be configured and setup on WLS for ADF to be deployed and run successfully on 11g?
Thanking you in advance.Hi dvohra21
I am not sure if ADF Runtime is installed....
I can however see the following libs installed and Active on the WLS console
adf.oracle.businesseditor(1.0,11.1.1.2.0)
adf.oracle.domain(1.0,11.1.1.2.0)
adf.oracle.domain.webapp(1.0,11.1.1.2.0)
oracle.adf.dconfigbeans(1.0,11.1.1.2.0)
oracle.adf.desktopintegration(1.0,11.1.1.2.0)
oracle.adf.desktopintegration.model(1.0,11.1.1.2.0)
oracle.adf.management(1.0,11.1.1.2.0)
Is this correct or am I still missing anything?
Your assistance is much appreciated -
ADF Faces: !-- ERROR: could not create stylesheet for oracle-desktop.xss
Hi,
I'm using ADF Faces EA6. Sometimes when I create the EAR, it doesn't include the file "oracle-desktop-ea6-ie-6-windows.css" which muest be present in the "adf/styles/cache" directory. If I check the source code from the browser, it starts like this:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"><html dir="ltr" lang="es-ES">
<head><title>Sistema de Seguridad</title><meta name="generator" content="Oracle ADF Faces"><!-- ERROR: could not create stylesheet for oracle-desktop.xss --><script type="text/javascript" src="/fmv/adf/jsLibs/Commonea6.js"></script><script type="text/javascript">_defaultTZ()</script></head>
Please note the comment: <!-- ERROR: could not create stylesheet for oracle-desktop.xss -->
Does somebody know the reason?
TIA,
BrianIf everything is set up properly the css will get generated if it doesn't exist. You do not have to be running in the IDE for the css to be correctly generated. Running the app first is generating the css before you deploy, so you've taken away the symptom but not solved the problem. If you try running on another browser, for example, you'll probably run into the same problem.
Does your ear get unzipped when you deploy? Do you have a writable file system for the css to get written to? There is a known issue with WebLogic where it doesn't expand the EAR.
Please check to see if there are errors in the logs. -
Oracle SSO error while trying to access a report
Hi All,
I am using Oracle 11g reports and forms. My adf application(using JDeveloper 11.1.1.4) will use oracle reports through url.
From adf application we form a url for the reports like https://<server>:<port>/reports/rwservlet?server=devstage11g&destype=cache&desformat=pdf&report=spore001…
we send the userid parameter as a hidden parameter in the request as we do not want the userid information to be visible in the URL. It works fine in one environment. But in another environment when we hit the url it always give a page with a single line saying "Oracle SSO". When we hit the same url with userid parameter appended to it directly, it works fine.
Checked the configuration difference, but not able to find any difference in the configuration. Please help me to find why it always gives "Oracle SSO" error.
Thanks,

Cross Domain error for Silverlight + MVC application with self hosted WCF service on azure
Hi,
We are migrating existing Silverlight application to MVC; existing Silverlight application is hosted on
Azure which is consuming self-hosted WCF service. For authentication we have implemented
ADFS with WIF (passive). The cloud service (<myWebSite>.cloudapp.net) is C Name to (<myWebSite>.<myDomain>.com) and we
are consuming WCF service at <myWebSite>.cloudapp.net/<myService>.svc, as we were getting “Cross Domain” error so we have added “clientaccesspolicy.xml” at the root of “WEB ROLE”.
Existing Silverlight application works fine but the problem occurred when we deploy our migrated application to the same cloud service. We are getting a “Cross Domain” error.
The same migrated application works fine on UAT environment, the only difference is UAT environment is
without ADFS WIF implementation.
Migrated application is half Silverlight and half MVC with initial landing page is Silverlight. MVC web role is used to host the service i.e. .SVC . To go to SL landing page , redirected from home controller. Following is being observed in fiddler for this
application
Existing Silverlight application -
After authentication with ADFS it redirect to Silverlight landing page.
Before calling service method it looks for “clientaccesspolicy.xml”
In response header we are getting the content of “clientaccesspolicy.xml”
And after this everything works fine
Migrated Silverlight-MVC application –
After authentication with ADFS it redirects to “HomeController” and from there we are redirecting to Silverlight landing page.
Before calling service method it looks for “clientaccesspolicy.xml”
In response header we are getting following content - “https://federation-sts.<myDomain>.com/adfs/ls/?wa=wsignin1.0&
wtrealm=https%3a%2f%2f<myWebSite>.<myDomain>.com&
wctx=rm%3d0%26id%3dpassive%26ru%3d%252fclientaccesspolicy.xml&wct=2014-03-17T10%3a36%3a04Z”
4.Throw “Cross Domain” error.
Also we have added filter in
RouteConfig
for .xml file
routes.IgnoreRoute("{*allxml}",
new { allxml = @".*\.xml(/.*)?" });
NOTE: There is no configuration change apart from MVC configuration.
We have done RDP to web role and found that “clientaccesspiolicy.xml” is present at “E:\approot” location and it is also accessible at “https://<myWebSite>.<myDomain>.com/clientaccesspolicy.xml”.
Please help
Thanks,
Rahul PHi,
Please try to configure the cross domain policy file to allow public read access (that is, access it without federation requirement), make sure you can access the address
http://something/clientaccesspiolicy.xml directly in a browser
without redirecting to check whether the cross domain policy file could be anonymous accessed (Please start a new browser session and make sure you're
not logged in. Then test the cross domain policy file.).

Nullpointer when violating a ADF BC Domain
Hi,
I've created a simple ADF BC Domain that checks if a field has the value 'Y' or 'N'. After that I set the attribute type of my entity object to that domain.
I run JHeadstart JAG and run the generated application (using Struts and UIX). If I violate the domain for that field I get a nullpointer. See the stacktrace below. If I test my EntityObject in the AppModule Tester it runs fine.
Though it is not urgent for our case I thought may be someone likes to look into it.
Grtz,
Paskal

just found the solution to the problem (in our case, anyway)!
The problem is not related to the ADF BC Domain. In our case, the entity object was based on a table which had a trigger defined on it (which on its turn updates several columns in the same row). The actual exception we got was "JBO-25014 - Another user has changed the row". In the commit process, the exception is noticed and the JhsAction.handleFailedCommit(...) gets fired. In this method "sessionData.getAttribute(JhsConstants.SAVED_DATA_OBJECT_SETS)" return null ... hence ... a NullPointerException. After we set the "Refresh After Insert/Update" properties on the Entity Object, we did not receive the exception anymore.
Short story short : JhsConstants.SAVED_DATA_OBJECT_SETS is not always set on handleFailedCommit. -

ERROR: ORACLE prepare error: ORA-00936: missing expression
Hello,
I am required to run "pass-through" Oracle SQL, to extract data from tables into SAS for processing and manipulation. My code (attached) reads and writes (executes) but with zero records to test first. I cannot get past the Prepare Error.
The query is very much like other queries that seem to work, but I cannot get past this prepare error. I have no other access to individauls with adequate knowledge of PL SQL, and as a last stop hoped others in the forum could quickly spot the source of errror.
Thanks very much in advance for any assistance.

184Hello Again ,
Wish Oracle was a bit more informative. Am using a SAS Institute Product called Enterprise Guide. A "hot fix" was installed to address an issue that the product appears unable to save the latest version of edited code changes (hence " BETWEEN between" remaining even after a prior edit). In any case, with the change, am now receiving this error:
" ERROR: ORACLE prepare error: ORA-00904: "PHRMCY_CLM_FACT"."LAST_SRVC_DT": invalid identifier". (Log file appears below)
-The error remains, regardless of whether one uses "pass through" code to pass the date range to Oracle (which looks ok from the log output below I believe), or if I hard code the date range into the PL SQL query itself.
-The Prepare error always appears at end of the inner SELECT.
-The Prepare error remains, with or without the GROUP BY clause.
Is there anything else here I am missing? Someone suggested a reserve word - but from other ANSI SQL versions, I do not see that is the case. I have consulted SAS Tech Support and SAS List Serve at University of GA. but nothing definitive from these sources. Have requested facility to be able to run Oracle directly, outside this SAS Institute product - in process.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks to everyone very much.
Jeff

Obiee oracle gateway error while updating row count
Hi ,
OBIEE server 11.1.1.5 ,oracle server11g installed in linux 64bit,
while updating row count in Admin tool i am getting the following error
[NQODBC][SQL_STATE:HY000][nQSError:10058] A general error has occured.
[nQSError: 43113]Message returned from OBIS.
[nQSError:43093]An error occured while processing the EXECUTE PHYSICAL statement.
[nQSError:17003]Oracle gateway error: OCIEnvNIsCreate or OCIEnvInit failed to initialize environment. Please check your Oracle Client installation and make sure the correct version of OCI libraries are in the library path.
i am able to check the database from sqlplus it is working fine.
Any suggestion highly appreciated plzzzMake sure your connection pool is valid and able to import or execute reports.
If everything good as above said, in Physical layer database properties-> general tab choose the database version and try it once.
If not
Check the doc id 1271486.1
Or
To resolve the issue create a softlink (ln -s) in the <OracleBI>/server/Bin folder to link to the 32-bit Oracle Client Driver file.
The example below shows how to perform a softlink from the 64 bit directory:
cd /u10/app/orcladmin/oracle/OracleBI/server/Bin
ln -s $ORACLE_HOME/lib32/libclntsh.so.10.1 libclntsh.so.10.1

Oracle Internal error while executing sys objects
Hi,
I recently restored an oracle 9i database from datafiles I received from client.
I am consistently getting the following error whenever I try to open a new sqlplus session.
bash-2.03$ sqlplus $IQ_DBLOGON

After search I found some references to recreate the sys objects by running standard sqls like CATALOG.SQL, CATPPROC.SQL etc. While running these SQLs as well I am getting oracle "Internal Errors".
I tries re-creating many sys packages and am consistently getting these errors. It looks to me I have problem while accessing procedures in all sys packages. I checked, all the packages are valid and have EXECUTE priviledge to PUBLIC.
See an example of the error below.

Regards,
UllhasORA-06553: PLS-801: internal error [56319] usually occurs, when there was a switch between bit sizes (source is 32 bit, target 64 bit and vice versa) . In such a case script utlirp.sql has to be run ($ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin).

5213: Bad Oracle login error in OCISessionBegin() while running ttcacheuidp
Hi,
I am working on Oracle TimesTen Client: Oracle TimesTen 11.2.1.8.0
I am following this step: http://download.oracle.com/otn_hosted_doc/timesten/1121/quickstart/html/admin/cache_grid_create.html
I am in the step 4: 4. Associate the Oracle Cache Administration user with the Cache Database
And I got this error:
Command> connect "dsn=cachedsh_schema;uid=cacheadm;pwd=cacheadm;oraclepwd=oracle";
Connection successful: DSN=cachedsh_schema;UID=cacheadm;DataStore=/u03/TimesTenCache/datastore/cachedsh_schema;DatabaseCharacterSet=AL32UTF8;ConnectionCharacterSet=US7ASCII;DRIVER=/u01/app/oracle/product/TimesTen/ttscofield/TimesTen/ttscofield/lib/libtten.so;PermSize=768;TempSize=256;TypeMode=0;OracleNetServiceName=SCOFIELD;
(Default setting AutoCommit=1)
Command> call ttcacheuidpwdset ('cacheadm','cacheadm');
5213: Bad Oracle login error in OCISessionBegin(): ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied rc = -1
5935: Could not validate Oracle login: uid = CACHEADM, pwd = HIDDEN, OracleNetServiceName = SCOFIELD, TNS_ADMIN = "", ORACLE_HOME= "/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2/db_1"
The command failed.
What seems to be the issue?
I referenced this link: http://download.oracle.com/otn_hosted_doc/timesten/1121/doc/timesten.1121/e13069/proced.htm#TTREF237
And on the notes it says:
Notes
This procedure cannot be called from a Client/Server connection.
This procedure is available only for IMDB Cache.
The cache administration user ID and password cannot be set while either the cache agent or the replication agent are running.
The cache administration user ID cannot be reset while there are ASYNCHRONOUS WRITETHROUGH cache groups or AUTOREFRESH cache groups (with a state that is not equal to OFF) on the database.
What does: This procedure cannot be called from a Client/Server connection mean?
Is this the root cause of the problem or I am missing a step?
Thanks!I still get the same error. But I have figured out what is wrong. Just in case other users encounter the same errors, here's what I did:
I created a tnsnames.ora file in my TIMESTEN_HOME/network/admin that has the connection info to testenv Oracle instance. +(i dont know if this is necessary)+. Then:
[oracle@testenv ~]$ ttmodinstall -tns_admin option
TNS_ADMIN for the instance 'testenv' is currently not set.
Would you like to change TNS_ADMIN for this instance? [ yes ]
Please enter a value for TNS_ADMIN (q=quit)? [ option ] /u01/app/oracle/product/TimesTen/testenv/TimesTen/testenv/network/admin
Do you want to restart the daemon using the new configuration? [ yes ]
Restarting the daemon ...
TimesTen Daemon stopped.
TimesTen Daemon startup OK.
Instance testenv is now configured with TNS_ADMIN=/u01/app/oracle/product/TimesTen/testenv/TimesTen/testenv/network/admin
