ADF popup not shown from BPM

Hi,
I'm working on a project that requires me to integrate a custom designed ADF task flow into a BPM user task. Unit testing of the task flow was working fine, but upon integrating this task flow with the BPM process, it seems that none of the popup components are working.
Could anybody please help me out?

  • ADF Popup not showing at fragment load

    Hi,
    I am calling a bean method in getter of command link at the load by binding it to a command link defined in bean, so when this fragment is called from other fragment then
    in this method i m doing some checks ,and based on particular condition i have popup.show but it doesnt show the popup and code is not raising any exception.
        public RichCommandLink getC1() {
            populatedata();
            return c1;
      Now in populatedata ,I have popup shown for some conditions but when fragment is getting called for first time it doesnt show the popup ,but same populatedata is called from button on the fragment
      so when i click on button ,this popup is shown properly.
    So as I understand first time getC1 gets fired when fragment was getting loaded ,so how to make sure popup is displayed during that ..
    public void populatedata()
    if ....
                        System.out.println("showing popup");
                       RichPopup.PopupHints p2 = new RichPopup.PopupHints();
                         p1.show(p2);
                        System.out.println("after showing popup");
    In logs i see both system out messages , can you guys suggest me how to get this popup displayed when fragment loading for first time and getter for c1 is getting fired.
    Jdeveloper version :11.1.2.3.0
    Regards,

    Hi,
    have you debugged the method call to prove that it is called at all? Instead of a component binding as a trigger, can you try a value property e.g. on a hidden output text component?
    Since you are on JDeveloper 11g R2, the use of JSF 2 system events also becomes possible. The system event would be added to a component on the fragment (e.g. the fragment root layout container) and then listen for the render pre-render phase.

  • ADF-BC not shown as fact type when decision service invoked as webservice

    Hello,
    I'm new to OBR.
    I have included 2 adf-bc fact types in my project (EmployeeView & Department View)
    Once the rule is created i get the error stating.
    RUL-05162 : The rule set "Ruleset1" requires fact type "EmployeeView", but this type is not part of the input.
    RUL:05164: The fact type "EmployeeView" is referenced, but is not asserted not input.
    So when i try including as input in the decision service, which is invoked as the webservice, the 'EmployeeView" is not shown in "FactType" drop down. When I uncheck "Will be invoked as webservice" checkbox, the EmployeeView is shown in the "Fact type" drop down in the 'Edit decision function' window.
    How to include the ADF-BC fact type, given the decision service is invoked as webservice and xml schema is given as input.
    Thanks in advance.

    you have to introduce a complexType in the xsd.. like
    <xs:element name="name">
      <xs:complexType>
        <xs:sequence>
          <xs:element name="attributeId" type="xs:string"/>
        </xs:sequence>
      </xs:complexType>
    </xs:element>
    <xs:element name="description">
      <xs:complexType>
        <xs:sequence>
          <xs:element name="attributeId" type="xs:string"/>
        </xs:sequence>
      </xs:complexType>
    </xs:element>refer this for more info

  • Message not sent from BPM

    Hi,
    I have modeled a BPM in which Idoc is received from ERP and it is sent to CRM.
    When I see in SXMB_MONI, I find a message with PE as outbound. The Workflow shows it is completed and the last step in Workflow is "Send message Asynchronnously" with Workflow result "Transfer message to Pipeline".
    But the message is not received in CRM. When I displat the message in SXMB_MONI, I find the following:
    1.Original Message
    2. Acknowledgement
    3. PE_Adapter
    When I go to the 1st and third message, The last step it is stuck up is "Call Adapter". But later nothing has hapenned.
    Anyone has any idea regarding this.
    Thanks,
    Prasanna

    HI Faulhaber,
    I used Process view and it only shows the message recived from Source to BPM. But no message exists which shows Message sent from BPM to Destination.
    But Workflow log shows Message Sent asynchronously.
    May be I think there is some problem in configuration.
    Thanks,
    Prasanna

    Hi,
    Did you try with autoCancel property of popup
    See
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/apirefs.1111/e12419/tagdoc/af_popup.htmlOr you have to bind popup to Bean then use
    RichPopup.hide();
    See
    how to close a popup

  • Mac contents not shown from windows

    Everything worked fine before I installed windows package 3 update. Now, I can see the macintosh drive in My Computer but nothing shown in the users/(my computer name) folder when I want to read my mac drive from windows.
    To be more clear, Mac drive is accessible. But no contents shown in the folders.

    Not sure yours is the same issue, because you seem to stuck at the pulsing dash stage (not the 'no bootable disk' stage).
    Anyway theflickguy's instructions on page 2 of this thread worked for me and others, and are more specific than the same info I found elsewhere.
    Edit, The alternative is to wait for Apple to release the next version of Bootcamp which will support Windows 7 for some models. Current version does not support Windows 7 without recourse to special measures.
    Edit again....just noticed this thread is over two months old!

  • What to do if previous tabs are not shown from previous session (after following all the guidelines)

    This is the only computer where I've had this problem, but even with previous versions of Firefox (with the Save and Quit button) it would not restore my tabs from a previous session. This still happens with v4.0.1, and I've checked that I have the option selected for remembering the previous tabs.
    The only time that Firefox does remember the tabs and will restore them (on this computer) is when Firefox is shut down unexpectedly, such as with a forced power-off or other abnormal exit.
    Any ideas about what could be causing this, and how to get it to work properly on this computer?

    Hi user781131,
    What happens if I invoke the script, the backup session starts and then there is abrupt termination of the RMAN session either because of losing the db
    connection or receiving an interrupt signal or a kill signal or some other weird reason?The backup set which rman was creating is not commited due to the abnormal termination but all succesfull backup sets can be used.
    What if I re-invoke my script? Will it start from the point where it was stopped earlier or would it start from the point where we had last successful Level 1 backup
    completed?In your backup script you do not use the < NOT BACKED UP SINCE TIME > clause so it will again do a level 1 backup off all datafiles.
    See:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/backup.102/b14194/rcmsynta009.htm#i1017236
    This option is a convenient way to back up files that were not backed up during a previous failed backup. For example, you back up the database, but the instance fails halfway through. You can restart the backup with the NOT BACKED UP SINCE TIME clause and avoid backing up those files that you already backed up. If AS BACKUPSET is set, then this feature is only useful if RMAN generates multiple backup sets during the backup.

  • Using Standard Container Variables in Email Alerts from BPM

    Dear All
    While creating alert categories from ALRTCATDEF we have a Long Text Tab where we can use Container  Variables like  SXMS_MSG_GUID ,SXMS_RULE_NAME, SXMS_ERROR_CAT , SXMS_ERROR_CODE etc create the mail contents.  We can also display the message passed by the BPM by using the variable
    ALERTDYNAMIC_SHORTTEXT , ALERTDYNAMIC_LONGTEXT .
    In my case when I call the alert category from the BPM , the message passed by the BPM is displayed through the ALERTDYNAMIC_LONGTEXT in the alert inbox , but I am not able to utilize the other container variables (like SXMS_MSG_GUID ,SXMS_RULE_NAME, SXMS_ERROR_CAT ) for displaying the messageid ,error category etc. Using these variables for alerts invoked from BPM results in Blank Values for all the container variables.
    If the alert is not invoked from BPM these variables are getting populated.
    My question is is there a way by which we can utilize these variables for Alerts thrown from BPM.
    regards
    Nilesh .

  • VA01 BDC Session - Purchase requisition wiew not shown

    Hello Forum,
    I've a problem with a BDC session in ECC 6.0 about VA01. When I try to change the purchasing requisition data from the shcedule tab using the button identified from the BDC with the code "EIBB"  (the last one) the subsequent screen is not shown from the system. If I try to create manually a new sales order I'm able to view the screen.
    I tried to remake the recording in 4.6C and the screen is shown correctly.
    I'm in a mock conversion and in UAT but I wasn't able to find the problem.
    Can you suggest something << Moderator message - Everyone's problem is important >>?
    Many Thanks.

  • Business Rules:Non-oracle db connections not shown in the ADF-BC Facts sect

    Hi everyone
    I'm working with Oracle BPM 11.1.1.5.0
    JDeverloper: 11.1.1.5.0
    Database : SQL Server 2008.
    I'm trying to create some rules based on some value in my tables in the database.
    The problem:
    My non-oracle DB connections are not shown in my Business rule, in the ADF-BC Facts section on the Facts tab.
    I have two oracle db connections and one SQL Server connection, and all three have been working perfectly before.
    But in the business rules facts section, when I want to add a new ADF-BC fact, only the oracle connections are shown.
    I have tried recreating all of them a few times, re registering my sqljdbc jar file, creating a new test application from scratch, but none seems to work.
    Can some one give me any hint please?
    Thanks in advance

    has anyone else had this problem ?

  • "A technical error during invocation : Could not invoke service reference" Error message while calling a service from BPM

    The details/ID in NWDS Service Reference must exactly match the SOA configuration. Sometimes it's possible you have changed the reference or the group itself and something changed to become mismatched.
    It's possible they don't match - but the SG itself will show green in NWA since the service exists and responds on the target system. Does the ID listed in the error match what is shown in the NWDS project?

  • How to refresh Adf  table from Adf popup

    Hi all,
    i have and adf query panel with table. On this table for each record, there is a button to perform some operations. When i click this button i am launching an adf popup. Inside this popup i have used a adf dialog of type yes/no. i am using this as a confirmation. (ex- Are you sure you want to change (ex- deactivate) this record?) If yes is clicked i change only one field. Suppose the record belongs to a client. On click of yes, i change the status to some value. ex- deactivate. so with the dialog's button click, i change the table data. but it is not reflected unless i made a query. i want to automatically refresh this table on click of dialog button's yes. I hope i made my self clear. Can this be done with Jdev. Im using Jdev 11.1.1.0.1. Pls help me with this.
    Thanks in advance,
    Nad

    Hi Maxi, Timo, i tried the solutions by both of you. Thanks alot for replying. But i get an error. This is what i did. for Deactivate btn in the table, i have added the below return listerner code.
    public void onReturnFromDialog(ReturnEvent returnEvent) {
    if (returnEvent.getReturnValue() != null) {
    refreshCurrentPage();
    protected void refreshCurrentPage() {
    FacesContext context = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    String currentView = context.getViewRoot().getViewId();
    ViewHandler vh = context.getApplication().getViewHandler();
    UIViewRoot x = vh.createView(context, currentView);
    x.setViewId(currentView);
    context.setViewRoot(x);
    but i noticed that both these methods are not invoked. So i added the below dialoglistener code to the af:dialog that is inside my popup. This popup is shown when the deactivate btn is clicked.
    public void DialogListenAction(DialogEvent dialogEvent) {
    if(dialogEvent.getOutcome().toString().equals("yes"))
    DCIteratorBinding iter = ADFUtils.getIterator("MembersVO3");
    String des = (String) iter.getCurrentRow().getAttribute("MemberCode");
    service.deactivateMember(des); //This is where i update the record and set the attribute value to des
    System.out.println("suspect1");
    RequestContext.getCurrentInstance().returnFromDialog(des,null);
    //AdfFacesContext afContext = AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    //afContext.getCurrentInstance().returnFromDialog(des, null);
    System.out.println("suspect2");
    //ifCancel Do nothing
    when i add 'RequestContext.getCurrentInstance().returnFromDialog(des,null);'
    OR
    'AdfFacesContext afContext = AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    afContext.getCurrentInstance().returnFromDialog(des, null);'
    i get the error - java.lang.IllegalStateException: popView(): No view has been pushed.
    i cant figure out what is the wrong here. Can some one pls suggest how to resolve this?
    Thanks alot.

  • Calling ADF page Custom Listener (Ex: ActionListener) from BPM Process Task (APPROVE/REJECT)

    Hi All,
    Jdeveloper version - 11.1.1.7
    I am very new to BPM / SOA development, but I have very good development skills on ADF.
    I am not using ADF BC, using EJB for business services and also using custom ADF pages for HumanTasks.
    Usecase:
    From the BPM Process task, when process submission (APPROVE / REJECT) , I need to invoke a Custom listener (Ex.Action Listener - a EJB call) in the ADF page.
    I am trying to use BPM APIs.
    Please clarify me how this will achieve using BPM APIs. I need detail guidelines to do it. Please make to understand this process.
    Provide some useful documentation or links to understand the following:
    1. Custom Human task pages
    2. BPM APIs - 11.1.1.7
    3. Call a BPM process task from ADF Listener and Call a ADF Listener from BPM Process task - Using BPM APIs.
    Please revert more clarifications needed.
    Thanks and Regards

    Hi Joonas.
    Plese let me explain me better for your understanding
    A big summary for what I meant it's the following:
    1- In the procces you made, when you add the HT activity, you have to implement it, this means declare the input(s) parameters you want. This implementation create the .task file.
    2- Create an application, and projects as HT you have. Each poject are based on the .task file, and automatically create a Data Control (for each project based on a .task) with all you need.
    This w'll be an empty application, so you can customize it all you want. The task selected should have all the parameters previously defined. Those parameters can change if you want.
    2- Create a page(s) in the task flow for the task implementation. You can even split the the payload of the task in differents pages, create your custom pages and any logic you need.
    3- An important aspect is how to match these application with the HT implemented in the process. It's possible, it's a configuration en the Enterprise Manager.
    4- Deploy your application
    All these are explain in the book I mentioned
    Th book you can find it here:
    https://blogs.oracle.com/soacommunity/entry/oracle_soa_suite_11g_handbook_1
    Regards Dariel.
    PS: Please, let me know if you need more details.
