ADF UIX Editable Table

In the example rows become editable when you click on the radio select at begining of the row, But how can I make the row to be editable as soon as I move my cursor on the textinput fields.

It seams that in editable table is unable to uncheck checked checkbox. After submit checkbox is stays checked. To check it works fine. To uncheck it in imput form also works fine. Problem is only in editable table. version jdev10.1.2. Thank you. Jara

i have EO with RowID column..

The new "Create" has also another issues - I am not able to use getCurrentRow in ViewObject. Workaround is to use old 40 behaviour but I think that such big change should be much more documented and because developer sometimes needs to use the 40 behaviour it should be shown in the DataControl. Any comments?

UIX Editable Table: Unselected Textinput Empty

I created a editable Table like described in the How-To (I did this in Jdev 9.0.5.2). Now after Converting to 10.1.2 I had to add a new coloumn to the table.
In this coloumn theres a choice on select and a readonly textinput on unselect.
The choice works fine, but the Textinput is always empty.
There are two bindings in the UI-model. one for the choice and one for the textinput.
Has anybody got an idea?

Issue with UIX Editable Table

Hi,
I have created a Master-Detail-Detail page using UIX. I want to make the last detail table editable. I have tried the tip mentioned in the following page to make the table editable.

But, the condition in switcher ${uix.current.EmployeeId.inputValue == bindings.EmployeeId.inputValue is always returning false. This is because, the ${bindings.xxxxx} is returning null for all columns.
Could anyone help me in resolve this issue Please?

ADF/UIX where clause and VO on different pages

Hi,
i have a VO called Periods which contains Periods and their statuses. On one page for entering data i use the periods VO in LOV mode with a where clause limiting the user to selecting periods with open status.
I have another page which is for maintaining the period statuses. The problem is that when i move between entry and setup pages the where clause takes affect in both pages ie. the maintain periods page only shows periods with status Open!!
To get around this on the maintain periods prepare model i tried doing this:
actionContext.getBindingContainer().getApplicationModule().findViewObject("PeriodsView1").setWhereClause(null);
actionContext.getBindingContainer().getApplicationModule().findViewObject("PeriodsView1").executeQuery();this works, however it causes bizarre behaviour on some records when i change values in the UIX editable table. The UIX editable table works fine if i remove the above code snippet (and dont go to the page that sets the where clause on the view object). The behaviour is that i cant select some rows in the UIX table properly and the updated values arent effected.
can someone advise pn the proper way of doing this?

Brenden, instead of setting the where clause to null, try setting it to an empty string (eg. "") or something dumb like "1=1".
In turn place JDeveloper into debug mode by selecting your project properties, profiles, development, runner, and changing the java options to: -Djbo.debugoutput=console
With this option turned on, you'll see your actual SQL going to the database with your where clause. You should be able to see the where clause of your underlying query that you just set, and if you use something dumb like 1=1 you'll note the setWhereClause module is working.

ADF UIX: MessageChoice in a table. NavigationBar.

I've got two problems with adf uix.
I would like to have a drop-down list which presents the answers possible to each questions. (An answer is referancing a questions with two columns: quesNumero, and numerodep, sequenced in parent).
I don't know why, but the visible answers are those of the first question.

How could I correct that?
In addition, I would like to have all the recordings on a page. I would like that the table does not use a navigationBar. I have each time between ten and tewnty questions to post and I don't want that the user must change pages to see the last questions. How can I do that?

There it is shown how to handle dependent list boxes in an ADF Faces form. I tried this for an editable table but it doesn't work correctly: If there is more than one row in the resultset of the table, both dependent list boxes have the same content in all the rows though the content in the database is different.

It works fine, when the user only want to update existing rows. But if he had inserted a new row and afterwards want to update existing rows, the listboxes don't show the correct contents. No error messages are displayed.

ADF editable table issue

Hi, I drag and drop an expert mode updatable VO to create an ADF editable table with inputText components associated with the table columns. This table is also binded to a CoreTable object inside the backing bean of the page. I also have a "Save" button which has actionLister binded to the backing bean to handle the saving for user's input data.
Basically, I have 2 rows and 2 columns for the editable table. I entered "ABC" for the first row and first column and entered "DEF" for the second row and first column like the following:

In the backing bean's saveChanges method, I do:

ADF Editable Table : CANNOT Insert Multi Rows , Please hellppppssss

Hi All,
Our customer requirement is being able to insert Multi Rows in an Editable Table and submit ALL of them with just one Click ?
Is it Really Possible ?
I have tried, even I can insert three Empty Rows and Fill them all with values, when I press Submit ONLY one row will be submitted, the other TWO will become BLANK again, is this my code is wrong ?
Or this is limitation of ADF Editable Table ?

bindings.getOperationBinding("Create");to
bindings.getOperationBinding("CreateInsert");in your first example to see if it fixes your problem?

ADF UIX table example: oracle.cabo.doc.* missing

Hi,
I'm working through the Oracle ADF UIX Developer's Guide and want to try the ADF UIX Table Example. Unfortunately I don't seem to have the classes which are referred to in that example (located in oracle.cabo.doc.demo.table..), which makes it difficult for me to follow and understand the example.
I've found a reply to a post to this forum of 26-nov-2002 where it is stated that these files were at that moment not yet available.
My question is: have these files become available in the meantime. If so, wher can I find them?

Clicking on a sortable header generates a sort event. You need to specify a handler for this event. The error you see is a result of the application not knowing how to handle the sort event. On your page you should include something like the following to handle the sort event:

ADF Master Form / Detail editable table : how to update the table ?

I'm using ADF faces with entity objects.
Here is a simple explanation of the model :
Table DOCUMENT --> Table LINEA DOCUMENT can have 0 or several row in the LINE table. Model is quite simple.
I'd like to create JSF pages to create and update DOCUMENT/LINE items.
I began with the Edit one :
In my DataControls I have something like :
AllDocuments

      |
      +- ValueI created a form with the "AllDocuments" items having navigation and submit button.
I created an editable table with "AllDocumentLines" items.
The values are correctly filled.
My questions are :
- Which kind of "button" I have to add at the end of each row of the table to :
* validate the update if "Value" changes ? I tried to drag/drop the related Create button but it stays disabled.
* delete the row
- Which button can I put to "Add" a new row ?
I searched the forum but can't find answers of my problem.

For creating a record drag the createInsert operation and for delete drag the delete operation - just make sure to drag the operation from the right VO in the data control palette.
The you can drag the commit and rollback operations from the AM level - and you can change the "Disabled" properties of the buttons to false.

UIX validation in editable table without refreshing

I have an editable table in a UIX page and I want to validate some fields against the DB (when the focus of each textInput is lost) without refreshing the table (to keep in the textInputs the data previously introduced by de user). To obtain that I pass the value that I want to validate to a second form (using javascript) which is submitted using the javascript function submitForm.
How can I do to keep the table without refreshing?

Thanks Gari.

I found a solution. Using a hidden form inside a iFarame and passing the values between forms with javascript, I can post the hidden form maintaining the changes in the table.
