ADF ViewController project failed to deploy

Starting from last night, I am not able to deploy a simple ADF web app. It used to work over the past two or three days. Is there anyone having the similar issue? How can address this issue? I used JDeveloper to deploy the app to the Oracle Java Cloud Service.
Here is logs I got.

HI,
check the sdm deployment log file at your WAS server.
may be your project is deployed with warning. its same as deployment aborted.
the log files are available at user->........sdm->log.
the log generated by NWDI has prefix like NWDI or the hostname of NWDI.
check it. and also perform the step in above post

    Has anyone been able to deploy ADF JSF project with JHeadstart using JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0 to Oracle 10G AS 10.1.2.0.2? I'm using window environment. Any feedback is much appreciated. Thank you for your assistance and have a nice day.

    Hi all,
    I had also tried out something else...
    I am now portalizing the ADF application using PortalFacesBridge and portlet.xml. Then I deploy it on the Local OC4J of my system and expose it as a WSRP Portlet using the url: 'http://hostname:portname/warFileName/info and generating a WSDL URL...
    I am then using this WSDL URL to regester this portalized application on the Oracle Portal10.1.4 which i am able to accomplish successfully...
    However after regestration, when I try to view this on the portal page, It is throwing the following error:-
    Error: Could not get markup. The cookie or session is invalid or there is a runtime exception.
    Also I would like to add that this method was working perfectly fine previously...
    What might be the clue for this sudden error...
    Any kind of help is greatly appriciated... Thanks...

  • Deploy an  ADF-UIX project

    Hi all!
    I build a web application workspace, so I have a "model" project in witch I put some business components from tables. In ViewController project I use adf-uix. My problem is I can't deploy my work. How can I do this. I suppose that I should deploy first my "Model" project.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Luigi --
    You'll be better posting this to the specific JDeveloper forum. The people who know all about ADF are there and will be able to help you out.

    Is there a reason, why there is no direct support for adf bc via jdbc? Not exactly sure what you mean here. Remember that the mobile device is a one user environment so it won't make sense to have the full ADF BC run on the mobile device.
    Since you are working over the network accessing a remote server, you probably don't want direct JDBC access to the DB on the server because of network port security settings.
    Web services are the standard way to invoke remote logic on servers.
    Why is there no support for exposing the application module via a RESTful service, or is it planned to support in further versions?This is planned for a future version.

    Hi,
    in this case I think its better to check the JHeadstart forum here on OTN. I've not seens this eror messages in my deployments so far.

  • ADF Faces & BC: Remove unwanted 'model' dir from viewcontroller project

    Hi all,
    I would like to know how to remove the 'model' directory from our ViewController project.
    Steps to see this config:
    1. right click on your "ViewController" project from the application navigator pane
    2. Select 'Project Content'
    3. Select 'Modelers'
    You can see that there is a default 'model' directory under your ViewController directory. When I try to remove it then save, I get "Error parsing the path: The ContentSet is empty" message.
    Does anyone have any ideas on how to remove this value?
    Thanks,
    Wes

  • Design Opinions regarding ViewController projects interacting together

    Using JDeveloper 11.1.1.4.0
    I have a set of ViewController (VC) projects that are deployed as ADF Library jars separately. These projects are consumed in a single Project which uses the taskflows in the modularized projects.
    Now a new requirement was introduced where i need to have two libraries consume each other.
    VC1 = ViewController1 (ViewController1ADFLibrary.jar)
    VC2 = ViewController2 (ViewController2ADFLibrary.jar)
    So, when VC1 consume VC2, VC1 inherits VC2's classpath including its Databindings.cpx.
    What happens is that when VC2 consumes VC1 as well, VC2 gets a runtime exception saying that there are 2 Databindings.cpx in its classpath.
    I know this is a classic case of library dependency, and we've been thinking that the only way to solve it is via contextual events or launching a url call for both of them to communicate. But i'm wondering if there is a much better approach to take when such requirements comes into the picture.
    -Marvin

    I briefly went through the blog and this is what i grasp real quick hehe, and forgive me if i missed something critical =)
    The approach is basically using a bean as reference to trigger both regions since they share the same bean reference.
    In this approach, it will even be cooler if the buttons using the event has a rendered property to only show up if the bean(interface) is not null that way it has even lesser coupling.
    But a small drawback here is that you're introducing a specific interface in the taskflow input parameters that is meant for such use case only.
    While this approach has that little documentation to keep things straight in the specification of the taskflow, it does indeed relieve the situation with the use of the binding layer for the event mapping.
    The real complexity comes in when two regions needs to ppr specific areas of each other's region, which in my opinion, is a design flaw to begin with as to why bother separating them for the complexity being introduced.
    I guess, in that sense, it is always better to start with simple code even if it means being repeated at the beginning before wrapping it to its full reusable state since adding a lot of condition in a reusable component is harder to maintain in the long run.
    In your example, you are tapping more on the simplicity of using java beans as reference oppose to event handling, which really gives more control in my opinion and also easier to document.
    Thanks for the article on the Chaperone Chris, interesting read for my Saturday.

  • JDeveloper - ADF Faces projects - calling a jspx from another project

    I have an ADF Faces project which has a jspx file and a backing bean. The jspx file is called 1.jspx and the backing bean is called 1.java. Navigation within the page and outside of the page is controlled by the faces-config.xml.
    However, I want to be able to navigate to another jspx in another project. Let's call this jpx, 2.jspx. How would I be able to make this call without losing the current context in my first project? Please note I do not want to have to copy the 2.jspx and 2.java files into my current project.
    Thanks
    Chris

    Hi,
    according to the JavaEE specs, a J2EE context demarks the scope of a session, which means that as soon as you call out to another application, you start a new session, loosing all the information of the other session. So if you don't want to deploy this all in one application, then you have to find a way of persisting context information (e.g. using a shared database instance)

  • Cann't launch the ADF Swing Project

    Hello,
    I have created java-application(swing,adf bc) in Jdev10.1.3, and created the Java Web Start(JNLP) files for the application ,run ant target: sign. it created all files ,build ok.
    but when I run the local.html in the Jdev1013, it open IE window, then I clicke the Launch JClient Link and it asks me to download the local.jsp file or open the file.
    If I download , the file "local.jsp.jnlp" would be saved, if I open, it display beblow:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="Big5" ?>
    - <jnlp spec="1.0" codebase="http://127.0.0.1:8991/TestJClient-View-context-root">
    - <information>
    <title>Title</title>

    </information>
    - <security>

    <extension name="common" href="localmt.jsp" />
    </resources>
    <application-desc main-class="test.view.test" />
    </jnlp>
    I review the local.jsp in Jdev1013, find some error "should not exist the element jnlp" about below:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="Big5"?>
    <jnlp spec="1.0" codebase="<%= buf.toString() %> ">
    Maybe that is jdev1013 bug.
    Anyone know the reason or how to deal with the error ?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    you are mixing releases here. You start with JClient in JDeveloper 10.1.2 and end up with ADF Swing in 10.1.3. Now what is the release you have the problem with. For 10.1.2 we have a whitepaper explaining how to use Java WebStart. We didn't upgrade this paper for 10.1.3, but I get Web Start deployment working when i tried it last time in JDeveloper 10.1.3.
    Note that no file should be downloaded to teh client and instead the JSP file should be executed to generate the JNLP file

  • Deployment error - Module failed to deploy - WLS 9.2

    I am attempting to deploy an EAR project from Workshop and it keeps failing. The error I keep getting is "referenced library module [email protected] failed to deploy". When I tried a different EAR project that I know I have deployed previously without a problem I get a similar error: "referenced library module [email protected] failed to deploy". Anyone have any idea what this problem could be? Is it a problem with the server or the project? Thanks.

    I'd suggest you build the CMP example that ships with WLS. Then compare
    the structure of its ejb-jar with your application.
    If you're still having problems, can you show me the output of jar tvf
    on your ejb-jar file? It's looking for the CMP descriptor in the
    META-INF directory.

  • Using one Viewcontroller project's taskflow in another Viewcontroller

    Hi All
    I am using jdeveloper 11.1.1.6.0.
    I have a Viewcontroller project with few taskflows.
    I have another Viewcontroller project with a menu.
    I want to use taskflows in former ViewController project in the menu of the latter one.
    While referring to Fusion Developer's guide, number of ways are given to do this,viz
    build output dependency, deployment profile dependency, importing something using resource palette...etc.
    But My question is what would be the most preferred way todo it.
    Thanks

    Reuse of task flows is best done by building a adfLib out of hte task flow and add this adfLib to the consuming view controller project.

    Amr Azim,
    You must have logged in thru a dedicated connection to any server through say VPN before deploying.This way the sdm uses the same login as that of already establised connection.
    So 'sign of'  all connections to any servers before deploying and redeploy your application.Here you will be prompted to supply the sdm password and deployment shall proceed.
