Adhoc query for OM infotypes

Hi Experts,
We have an adhoc query based on PNP logical database. But client wants to access OM infotypes data using that query. Can you guide me how we can do that?

If you are looking to add few fields, you can create custom fields in function group and write code for them . You can create the custom fields by following steps.
Go to t-code SQ02
Give your infoset name go to change ->
Click on "EXTRAS"
Click "Paper u201CCreate " Pop-up will appear
-Choose "Additional field" name as Zamnt1
Give long text & header
Like reference as u201Cpa0008-BET02u201D
Code in screen u201Csave it"
Go back to fields group and assign additional fields to your Fields group.
Donu2019t forget to generate. You can create as many as fields this way.

first go to Sq02
On the left hand side there is a field by the name of infoset.
Give any appropriate name. Then click on create button.
then a screen will appear , write the name. In data source field click on Logical Database . Here you have to select PNPCE, PAP, PNP according to your requirement.
If you want to create Query on anything related to applicant select PAP. If ur query is based on Master data select PNPCE.
After selecting click on tick mark (green in colour) which is given below. A screen with different folders of infotypes will appear. Select the required infotypes which you want accoridng to your requirement. Then click on tick mark again.
Then click on generate button (red & white in colour) (3rd button from the left). A screen will appear with the name
create object directory entry. Here you have to click on local object button.. you will now see that the system haas generated a Message saying "Infoset------- generated.
In sq02 there is a button with the name Role/User Group Assignment . Assign the user group out here.
Then go to SQ01, click on infoset query. Select ur user group. You can see the name of the query which you have created.

Adhoc query for Training & Event mgmt

Can anybody guide me for design the adhoc query for training & event management. I needto extract data upto attende level from a particular infoset.

Hi,
I have got a query in AD-HOC query.
After creating the Adhoc query using the join table functionality the resulting adhoc query does not results any out put.
What I have done is :
1.Created a user group through SQ03
2.Attched user to My user group
3.Created an infoset using join table functionality(SQ02).
4.Saved and generated the infoset
5.Added the user group to the infoset and than run the ADHOC query.
The table I have used to join is all PA table (For test pupose)
Though the purpose of the custom infoset is to join PA,OM and E rec infotypes, for testing purpose I have joined only PA infotypes.
Result:The adhoc query does not gives any out put instead it says no data could be read.
Could you please tell what else I need to do so that the custom infosets gives an out put.
Will greatly appreciate your help.

Adhoc query for IT0041

I was told that it is possible to create a separate 'Date for Date Type' for each 'Date Type' in the selection criteria of an adhoc query for IT0041. Can somebody help me with this please?

Hence if I want to find chief of Org unit A, then I cannot find it as 'Relationship type/relationship' field of IT1001 is missing here.
Basically I need all the fields which are displayed in IT1001 as shown below:

Adhoc query for HR.

Good Morning
I am creating a adhoc query for HR.
I create an Infoset in the T.Code SQ02, I am using the database PNP , add code abap for get data of other table in the field additional ZKTEXT in the the code section record processing.
In the moment of Generate the infoset, the system display the following message of warning
Additional Fields
**No code exists for additional field ZKTEXT,
However the adhoc query work fine and get the data of the field ZKTEXT.
1. The question is, There is some form in where the system no display this message of warning in the moment of generate the infoset?
2. In this moment the field ZKTEXT is as a field of output in the Adhoc Query , But There is some form in where el field ZKTEXT. is as field of selection. ?

Hi Venky,
You can pull the qualification details using SAP quick viewer (Tcode SQVI) and using logical database PNP
-> Go to Tcode SQVI
-> give Query name and Create
-> In the data source field, select Logical database
-> In logical database give PNP or PNPCE
-> Then in basis mode u can find IT 0024 in Planning data header
-> and then select the list fields u need and the additional selection criteria also
-> Then execute the query.

Adhoc query for Off cycle Payments(infotype 0267)

Dear All,
I have a rquirement to create a query for off cycle payments infotype(0267).
It should show the payment done for each wage type.
Can we pick the data from PC_payresult from table RT - Results Table.
If yes, please let me know the process and if not, is there any other way to get the splits of offcycle payment.

Issue in adhoc Query

Dear All,
When i am running adhoc query for a particular infotype iam getting fine.
My issue is iam not getting the start and end date of the record.
can any body help me out how to get the start date and end date of each record.

Hi,
If you want to add the dates to the output of the querry, While creating/editing the query, you should add feilds ENDDA and BEGDA for the infotype to get the start and end date correct.

Problem in adhoc query

Hi All,
This is regarding a problem in the adhoc query.
For one adhoc query in the selection field only personnel number is there. The adhoc query selects from 0022-infotype.In this case if the reporting period is ALL, all infotype records belonging to 0022 infotype are selected. Even if the end date of the infotype record is less than the initial date of Org.assignment.
For the second adhoc query in the selction field only
personnel area is there. In this case the adhoc query doesnot select infotype record belonging to 0022 infotype
if the end date of the infotype record is less than the Org.assignment.
Can anyone explain me this strange behaviour.

Some more additional info about the problem.
Suppose in the selection screen there are 4 fields
Company code, Personnel area, Personnel sub area and Personnel number.
If you fill both Personnel subarea and personnel number,
data record belonging to education infotype but whose end date is greater than the start date of Org.assignment
infotype is not selected.
But if you fill only personnel number the same data record belonging to education infotype is shown with blank values for Org.assignment.
I tried debugging and found out that in the first case
since there is no Org. assignment record for the time period of the education infotype nothing is shown.
In the second case, it is allowed to be shown with blank values for Org.assignment.
Any explanation for this behaviour?

Adhoc query----Selection

hi,
in the adhoc query, for a particular field in custom infotype which is used for selection, iam not able to get the text , but able to see only the value. (if i press F4)

Hello Novice,
Indeed text fields in query have never existed for all fields. In old releases if a
text field did not existed, customers had to create additional fields for that with their own coding.
As of release 46C a general method for identifying texts is available (not only for HR logical databases). It also evaluates the text based on DDIC information. Using this method it is possible to create
exceptions for text retrieval not only at field level (via customizing table TEXC_FLD), but also at data element level (TEXC_DE) and domain level (TEXC_DOM).
So with the new text identification in SAP query customers have the possibility of creating these missing text in an easy way, and also to define exceptions in case the text provided is not the desired one.
You can check the note 491403 'Identifying text in SAP Query' . This note describes where you can find documentation on indentifying text in the system and on how to proceed if text for a
field cannot be identified. If you ran the report RS_TEST_IDENTIFY_TEXT
you could see the result for field the fields. Please, choose "HR Class" upon executing for Text Recognition.

Adhoc Query: Absence Leave report

I am trying to create a Query in Adhoc query for ABSENCE LIST.
so i have added few columns:

1. Here when i pick the Position from infotype 0001 it is displaying some default position along with the position
2. I need the list of employee who has taken leaves, and leave types are picked from infotype 2001. Here i am getting complete list of employees(employees who has not taken leaves)
So can we prepare a report employees who went on leaves based on the above requirement.

On a more serious note,
A query is a simple spitting out of all the data, based on the fields you have selected, So if atleast one field has a valid value, and "Personnel Number" is one such field, you will get an output in the report.
What you will have to do is to assign certain key fields as selection fields as well as output fields, when designing the Ad-Hoc query.
Then use selection criteria to get out only the results you want, for example Absence Type = Annual Leave( don't want to type the abbreviation here), date range of BEGDA - 01.01.2014 - 30.04.2014, for example. Using Employment Status as a Selection field but not an Output field can help with ensuring inactive employees (i.e people with default positions) are not selected.
I often find that in any case, one always has to download the query output into Excel and do some final manipulations using filters and pivots etc.
Also, play around with the Key Date field, in the query design screen - see what happens if you use "Today" rather than a wider date range.

Adhoc Query Issue - How to restrict /SAPQUERY/H2 access

Hi Experts,
I have created two User Groups HR_1 (assigned to infosets for Time data) and HR_2 (assigned to Infosets for Payroll data). Also, I want to assign the HR_1 to a user Time_admin and HR_2 to Payroll_Admin, so that Payroll admin do not have access to Time data and vice versa.
Now I can restrict the access but when I execute the Adhoc query for the user, I can see the User group that I have assigned with a default user
group /SAPQUERY/H2, which has access to all data.
My question is, how can I restrict the access for the /SAPQUERY/H2 for the users so that the users have only access to their user groups i.e.,
Time_admin to HR_1 only and Payroll_admin to HR_2 only.

I was expecting some Answer but was unfortunate enough.
I have found a solution and will mention it for those who face this issue in future.
Configuration in “The Global Area (Cross Client)”, has some limitations
1)      1) Restricting the access via T-Code S_PH0_48000510 (Ad-hoc Query) is difficult as this t-code S_PH0_48000510 uses the user group /SAPQUERY/H2 to which an Infoset is assigned /SAPQUERY/HR_ADM. This infoset has access to all the master data and is standard one (default).
2)      Also, this is available in “The Global Area (Cross Client)”, due to which there will be access to all HR master data.
Configuration in “Standard Area, i.e., Client Specific”
1)      With this approach, we will do the same configurations in “Standard Area (Client Specific)” i.e.,
I.            Create User groups (ZHR_1 and ZHR_2)
II.            Create Infosets (X1 for time management Infotypes and X2 for PM and PA Infotypes)
III.            Assign User Groups to Infosets (X1 to ZHR_1 and X2 to ZHR_2)
IV.            Assign Users to User Groups (As per the requirement)
2)      Additionally, Admin need to do two things
I.            For the Users Set Parameters via SU3 as:

III.            As a result of this approach, the Users on executing the T-Code S_PH0_48000513 will be directly moved to the Adhoc query screen with their authorized access.
NOTE:
these changes cannot be transported via Transport.

ADHOC Query Authorization

How authorization can be assigned to a query created by PAAH transaction (adhoc query).
If a query is created by particular user/user group, it should not be altered by other user / user group.

Through P_PERNR we could restrict the authorisations for adhoc query for a particular user.
Using the employee sbu group field value found under the P_ORGINCON authorisation object we could restrict the authorisations for a particular group of users.

I have setup a new role and made adhoc query for users to be able to maintain, change etc......
You can set up authorizations in such a way, that certain end-users in a user group are authorized to maintain and execute queries, while other members of the same user group are authorized only to execute existing queries."
the above statement, states other memebrs can be setup to execute only?
what must I do to make the endsers allow them to execute the query only?
for the first set of users i have within object S_QUERY made them to use change, maintain and translate.

Users with S_QUERY actvt=02 can move between infosets with no problem. If you are removing this then you need to specify which infosets are assigned to a user group and which users are assigned to the user group. If you have lots of users and queries already then this may be a big piece of work and illustrates why use of queries may save time for one team (developers) but give more work for others.
