Adobe forum Logging me out

What is the problem with this forum! It keeps logging me out when I ask  a question

We can't know. You have not offered any system info or told us, what browser you use. Could be as simple as you not allowing to store cookies...

  • Forums log me out and dont remember me

These forums log me out after like 1 or 2 hours and its annoying because I have it set to remember me, so it should remember more than just my email address and keep me logged in for a longer time

"Inactivity" seems to be the key here.  In this forum we get logged out while active; sometimes while typing a reply.  When clicking on the Post button, we find ourselves logged out, and the Back button does not bring the lost text back!
What is happening is the following:
    - you log in on the Adobe SSO portal;
    - the Adobe SSO portal sets a cookie for 24 hours;
    - the Adobe portal redirects you to login.jspa on the Jive side;
    - Jive obtains your credentials from Adobe;
    - Jive sets session cookies that expire when you close your browser;
    - Jive creates a session on the server that expires after 4 hours of
    inactivity.
Your session ends after 4 hours of inactivity (server side session
expiration) or when you close your browser (and your session cookies
disappear). That is all functioning as designed.
If your Jive session ends before your adobe.com cookie expires you can
continue to work with the forums. That is for up to 24 hours after your
login on the Adobe SSO portal. But all that time you will not have a
Jive session. So the moment your Adobe.com cookie disappears, which is
on a fixed date not related to activity, the forums will show you as
logged out because your session disappeared long ago and now your cookie
    did too.
All of this can easily be verified by looking at the cookies in your
browser and playing with their values.
The simple fix for this is to make the adobe.com cookies session cookies
too. That way they disappear when you close your browser. So that way
you are logged out much sooner because you don't get the 24-hour period.
So you don't run the risk of loosing a reply, but instead are logged out
much faster. Would you prefer that behavior?

  • Why does the forum log me out so quickly, requiring me to re-enter my ID & password all the time?

Why does the forum log me out so quickly, requiring me to re-enter my ID & password all the time?  When I reply to a post I also have to re-enter both items.  Even my online banking is saavy enough to reconnize me and autofil my ID.

It works for me. This looks like some browser issue. Try Clearing browser cache and signing in again.
Please move the post to Forum issue from Photoshop Express.

  • Adobe Forum Log-in Issues?

If you attempted to sign-in to the Adobe Forums, on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, and could only access this forum as a "Guest," then the Sign-In process is now working again. You no longer have to read as a Guest, and can sign-in, as of today, Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013.
    Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Was it your fault
When I first encountered the issue, I thought that it might be. Then, I tested with four different browsers, all on the PC, with the same exact results.
I got two e-mails from Adobe, and the first outlined the issue. The second notified me, that it had been fixed.
As one COULD read the Adobe Forums, as a Guest, I posted, of the problem, to let any Guests know that things HAD been fixed (through no effort on my part), and that they could then Sign-In, as per normal.
Still, if it makes others feel better, I can take the blame...

  • Forum RSS feeds log me out of their site

    Greetings,
I'm trying to figure out how to fix this...
If I'm logged in to a forum, and click on the RSS button in the Safari address bar, I can read the RSS feed, then clicking back on the RSS button again brings me back to the forum logged out...
This also happens if I'm logged in to a forum, and try to read it's RSS feed in Mail.
    I'm boggled.. any ideas?

If they left an activation lock on the device, you can't fix it but may be able to get a refund for the iPhone.

  • Subscription just renewed & CC app logged me out!

I'm a new subscriber to the CC Photography package and all has been well for my first month. I noticed yesterday that Adobe had billed my account for my first monthly renewal as expected, but today when I logged in to my Win7 PC and started working in PS the CC app suddenly logged me out, losing all my update history. Logged back in again with no problems (other than no longer having any history of installs and updates), but the next time I rebooted the PC I had again been logged out (this happened three times in succession).
I think I may have now resolved this by deleting the db file in the OOBE folder as advised elsewhere in this forum, although I can't he certain until I next log in to my PC tomorrow.
My question is, does this happen often to other CC customers? Seems rather an inconvenient hassle to have to jump through hoops on a monthly basis...

  • Adobe Forum...more weirdness

    I start computer.
    Open an Adobe Forum link.
Not logged in - despite stay logged in!
    Use Sign in Link
It automatically logs and signs me in  without any entry input on my part.
    Weird!
Behaviour started since creating a new Password.

Adobe's looking into it. Behind the scenes we've been trying to establish which configurations are working and why some people can stay logged in while others cannot. So far, the conclusion is "hmm... dunnno". I'm on Firefox and can't stay logged in at all, but someone else with the same setup hasn't been logged out at all.
Choosing 'remember me' on the single-sign-on (SSO) page will set cookies for the main adobe.com domain, and those appear to be persisting OK for everyone. It's the equivalent cookies to preserve your Jive session on forums.adobe.com that are problematic; that's why when you click to "Sign In" the SSO page autocompletes without your input.

  • Adobe ID screen grays out with swirl in right hand corner when asked to enter info. Stays that way. I am locked out

Trying to launch elements. Adobe ID required. Enter info. Then I get a grayed out screen with swirl in bottom right corner. Never lets me into program.

    Hi lospesca,
Thanks for posting on the Adobe forums.
    Please follow these steps :
    Go to following location:
    for Win
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
    C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Adobe
    for MAC
Finder> Go > Go to Folder
    \Library\Applicaiton Support\Adobe
    ~\Library\Applicaiton Support\Adobe
Locate folder OOBE and rename it OOBE.old
    Download and install
Adobe - Adobe Application Manager : For Windows : Adobe Application Manager
Adobe - Adobe Application Manager : For Macintosh : Adobe Application Manager
    After the installation
Try to Open Adobe Application Manager / Creative Cloud App.
Log in that with Adobe ID and Password.
If it does not work first try couple of times more.
Let me know if this resolves the issue.

  • Error U44M1I210 - None of the NEW Mac's can install the latest updates Adobe CC is pushing out.

    Here is the problem:
I have 3 new Macs (iMac, MacBookPro, Mac Pro trash can)
All 3 do have adobe CC installed with programs working at the moment.
However with the most recent updates to Premiere, AE, Photoshop and Media Encoder that Adobe CC is pushing out, none of the computers can update to them.
    Receiving Error code U44M1I210
    Here is a system spec:
    For the Mac Pro, OSX 10.9.3 - 64GB Ram - 2.7GHz 12-core Xeon E5
    What I have tried:
I have tried to do the updates from work, over wireless, and wired.
    From Home wireless.
    And from a Hotel wireless.
Older MacPros running CC but limited to CS6 Apps only, DO update over the same network as the Mac's that can not.
    Strange? yes!
Why I think Adobe has made some type of coding mistake with New Apple Products:
All 3 computers could not install these recent updates, but could install CC originally (about a month prior to the updates), and made made other small updates prior to this as well.
The various locations I have tried to connect from have all failed, so I doubt it is a firewall issue.
Adobe's Help line, had took control of my Mac Pro for about 2 hrs and could not figure out why it would not update.
    They uninstalled, reinstalled, the works...
The issues has now been in limbo for a week.
Will I ever be able to make an update to CC on any of my machines?
Since we are paying a lot of money for Adobe's services, and have paid a lot of money for these new computers, that is my question.
    Thanks

    Thanks Jeff,
However when the Adobe tech support person took control of my Mac Pro, this was one of the processes they tried that failed to produce results.
They reviewed the log files as well.
The downloads would fail after they reached 50%.
What does seem to be working for me, at least for Premiere and Media Encoder is manually installing the updates from this site:
All Adobe CC 2014 Updates: The Direct Download Links for Mac OS | ProDesignTools

  • Firefox keeps logging me out of sites randomly

For the past several weeks Firefox has been logging me out of sites that should have my login details saved. As soon as I start typing my user name it pulls up my saved password and all is good. Usually I would stay logged in at said site/forum while I was there but today I can change pages and be logged out all of a sudden.
I have started in safe mode and ran malwarebytes and mse with no bugs found so it is a problem directly related to Mozilla. This is very annoying and time consuming having to keep logging in all the time for locations that should already have my information saved.

These sites I'm having problems with I've been going to for years and I never have problems with loosing the login information.

  • Safari logs me out very often since IOS5

Since i have installed IOS 5 it's just impossible to write a message on a phpbb site because of the bug of safari that keeps logging me out.
I tried to delete all cookies and history, i shutted down the ipad but it's still there...
I found a very similar problem on the forum about a cookie bug on safari (mac os version) but it's apparently not solved...
I had the same problem on the precedent version but it was less often. It's not casual anymore, i just can't continue like this.
I think it's a major bug on a device which like ipad is designed for friendly navigation on the internet. Using phpbb may be 40 % of my activities on it.
I'll just abandon the browser if i can't find a fix or a solution.
    Any ideas ?

Try going to Settings > Safari, and look at the Accept Cookies box.  Tap on it and make sure it is either set to "From Visited" or "Always".  There seems to be a problem during the iOS upgrade process that causes this setting to get changed to not accept cookies, which will mean almost all sites where you have to log in will not work, or will work badly.

  • Retina MBP suddenly logging me out

  • How to stop receiving e-mails from the Adobe Forums?

After the recent upgrade to the Adobe Forums you may notice that you are receiving additional e-mail messages from the Adobe Forums.
To turn off e-mail notifications please complete the following steps:
    Go to https://forums.adobe.com/welcome
Click on your Avatar and choose the Preference option
Alternately you can click on https://forums.adobe.com/user-preferences!input.jspa to access your Preferences.
Under the General Preferences you can adjust your e-mail preferences.  You can choose which type of notifications you wish to receive e-mail notifications for.  I would recommend disabling the e-mail regarding Moderation Notifications
Once your selection has been made then click the Save button to apply the settings change.

What does “I cannot export or copy and paste or drag the mail over” mean?
Mail stores most preferences and all account settings in ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist (except the passwords, which are stored in the keychain). Everything else, including all your messages and mailboxes, is stored within the ~/Library/Mail/ folder.
Similarly, Address Book stores the settings in ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.AddressBook.plist and the data in ~/Library/Application Support/AddresBook/.
Other applications store preferences and data in other places. You may want to ask in the appropriate forums for more information on those.
If both computers are running the same major version of Mac OS X, copying these files & folders from one computer to the other is all you need to do in order to have an exact copy of all your data on both computers.
In order to avoid potential permission issues, copy the files operating on the destination computer and while logged in as the user that’s going to use them. Also, be sure the affected applications aren’t running on either computer while doing that.
Alternatively, you may use Migration Assistant, as Michael suggested:
Transferring data with Setup Assistant / Migration Assistant FAQ
And you may want to read the following articles as well:
Transferring files between two Macintosh computers
How to back up and restore your important Mac OS X 10.4 files
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder, i.e. ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder.
