Adobe Muse (2014.3) "Add Web Font" Function Not Working As Expected - Newly Added Fonts Become Unavailable Though Shown

This has also been posted in the Community: Adobe Muse Bugs forum.
I've been having some odd/irregular issues though they have now become fairly predictable in nature. The issue is in regards to Adobe Muse (2014.3) and the availability of web fonts provided through the applications "Add Web Fonts" feature. Once added they perform as expected but then become "unavailable." Full details below. I have been a Creative Cloud Complete subscriber for a number of years so am fairly familiar with the way in which the system works minus a few issues that have popped up now and then, this one included.
System Info:
Adobe Creative Cloud (Full Subscription): Version 1.9.1.474
Adobe Muse: Version 2014.3
OS X Yosemite: 10.10.2
Here is a recap of what has been taking place. I'll detail the bug as best I can.
1. Created new Adobe Muse project. Everything normal.
2. Chose to add a new font through the "Add Web Fonts" function within Muse. A note, my Creative Cloud App is running/open at all times (in file synch mode).
3. Chose new fonts using above. All seemed fine (see screenshots below).
4. Fonts also were indicated as being "Synched" within Creative Cloud (screenshot below).
5. As expected the two fonts were added to the list of available Web Fonts within Muse (first screenshot below - left). I added them successfully to my site. Well after a number of hours I went back to this same font selection menu within Muse and the fonts were still visible yet the sub-menu that one would expect showing various forms (i.e. Bold, Italic, etc) was not available. In a sense the font could not be chosen from the list even though the name is clearly visible (second screenshot below - right).
Have no idea what may have been wrong. Saved Muse project, closed and reopened - nothing changed. Created new project - fonts still "shown" in menu but can't be used. Did find a vague description using Google of similar problem (different application) which recommended closing Creative Cloud Desktop App and reopening as one possible solution. This DID WORK initially yet the problem, though corrected for a period of time (few hours at most), would reappear again where one would again see yet not be able to choose from the two Web Fonts. Went so far as to uninstalling the Creative Cloud Desktop application and reinstalling. Still have not solved the problem.
Any thoughts as to what this may be would be welcome. Restarting the CC app each and every time the fonts become unavailable is quite time consuming to my workflow.

Thank you for the reply. Wanted to comment on a few things.
I reviewed the other post that you've referenced. Nothing unusual jumped out at me as something that I was not aware of. I'm running an older iMac that is in good working condition. 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 24" screen. I know this issue is fleeting, as I stated earlier typically can be corrected with a restart of the CC Desktop application (that I am always running at startup). I have not been able to determine that shutting down Muse corrects the issue. I would, at this time say it doesn't.
I did open InDesign and see if the fonts in question, Open Sans and Open Sans Condensed, were present and usable. They were. The fonts are shown as being synched in my CC Desktop app window (even if they are not "installed" in Muse). That is expected but it may be a bug in how Muse brings in a font from those that are already synched to your CC account. I don't know enough about how that works to comment.
And just to complicate matters, Muse seems to be working again, the fonts that is. I brought them back in and they are showing up in all locations (which there are actually three - see screen shots).
First is primary text menu dropdown (to right of orange "Text").
Second is if you click orange Text link. Another drop down menu appears.
And lastly, the Text Panel to right of screen.
I also wanted to add this extra bit of information, for what it is worth. When the issue arises and you do not get the sub-menu dropdown showing various styles of the font (italics, bold, etc.), one can use click on the missing font if you had used it previously and it is present in the "previously used font" list.

  • Adobe Muse form with 3rd party host is not working

    I have uploaded a form with Adobe Muse to a 3rd party host.  Upon testing the link scripts/form_check.php, I see 3 green checkmarks.  Upon testing the form, the form appears to submit successfully, however I never receive the email.
    I checked with the hosting company and this is what they said:
    ...this form is using localhost smtp of webserver which was stopped due to spamming issues...actually, localhost doesn't have proper rDNS record and the return path for all mails is the server itself, so whenever a client uses its domain for spamming the server's mail queue gets choked and creates issues for others. So we generally do not open localhost smtp and recommend users to use proper SMTP Authentication so that each mail will be delivered and won't create issues for server even if someone does spamming because in that case all mails will bounce back to the mailbox.  So, we recommend you to use smtp authentication in the form and use proper smtp details to send mail.
    Please provide a recommendation on what I should do to resolve this?  Is there a way to modify the form so that it uses proper SMTP Authentication instead of Localhost?

  • "add wireless clients" functionality --not working

    I'm hoping someone can help me figure out the Add Wireless Client functionality in the AirPort utility. I can't seem to get it to work, and even Apple support appears to be stumped.
    I have tried using the "add wireless clients" functionality in the Base Station menu of Airport Utility. When the "Wireless Client Setup Assistant" window opens, there are two choices: PIN or First attempt. Neither option seems to work. In fact, if I try to enter a PIN, I am able to enter a series of numbers, but the continue button does not become enabled.
    Is anyone able to get this to work? I called Apple support and they were supposed to get back to me but they as of yet haven't offered a solution.
    I have an airport extreme 802.11n and express configured in a WDS. Everything else is working perfectly.

    Looking further at the RIGHT package wiki FAQs, you might try another browser such as Chrome or Firefox and update the local security policy as described.

  • Personalize Web Page Functionality not working

    Hi,
         When we personalize a web page it creates a bookmark id in the ODS 0PERS_WTE.  The only problem is when we reaccess the web page we do not get the bookmark, but we end up getting the query the way it was originally. We have the template set for personalization!
    Can anyone help?  We really think the page should come up the way we set it when we selected "Personalize web Page" in the context menu...

    Never mind..  You just add "USE_PERSONALIZATION=X" to the URL...

  • Adobe CC 2014 Shift to constrain scale does not work?

    In Indesign CC 2014 when scaling shapes, image etc, holding down 'shift' does not lock the aspect ration any more.
    Anyone else having this problem?
    PS It works in Illsutrator CC and Photoshop CC so it's definatley software related.

    When I hold shift down to constrain shapes, it doesn't work for me either. As easy as it is to give us feedback of "it's in your system configuration", I've checked, and everything seems to be correct. If you think that's the problem, can you provide screenshots of any preferences we need to have checked or unchecked to solve this problem? Thanks in advance!

  • Customer contact functionality not working as expected

    Good day, i'm new here, just joined today because of this problem i'm having.
    I created a Promise-to-Pay on 18.07.2011 to be paid on 28.07.2011
    The problem is that it still appears in the Open Items Worklist when i run udm_supervisor under the specified collection group.
    It is not supposed to be there since the PTP (promise-to-pay) was already created.
    When you exit a customer as reached (in PTP) it should move to the completed items list.
    Can somebody please help me out? thank you very much!

    How do i regenerate the worklist? you see this problem was assigned to me as a ticket. The user (who created the promise to pay) is baffled because the customer still appears in the worklist after the PTP was created. And so working as support, i was tasked to investigate why this happened.
    So it could be that the user regenerated the worklist? and if so, why has valuation not increased in the open items list?

  • Autowaitlisting functionality not working as expected

    Hello everyone - we are attempting to get Auto waitlisting working on our OLM implementation and have so far been unable to do so. We have an SR open with Oracle - but I wanted to check in here to see if anyone has had a similar experience.
    We believe we have all the settings in place on our profile to have the autowaitlisting process work - but so far no luck. We have followed all guidelines in the OLM user guide and other references on Metalink - but here's what is happening:
    - I set a test offering with maximum number of enrollments at 2
    - I then administratively enroll 5 people leaving the class at full and three people waitlisted
    - I then manually unenroll one of the enrolled individuals - bringing the class back to normal with one enrollment
    - I then run the Cancel Enrollment program
    - Going back in - there has been no change (1 active enrollment, 1 cancelled enrollment and 3 waitlisted)
    - I can then go into the course in the catalog and enroll from the front end which brings the course back to full
    Basically - the waitlisted employees are being ignored by the process.
    Any thoughts/ideas?

    I think you are stuck with it and may have to resort to a manual process. But, I like a challenge...so I haven't given up yet !
    I think another problem for the automatic waitlist process is that the online course is probably defined as asynchronous, so it can take place at any time. Therefore, the cancellation program won't really know what to do.
    Just so I have it clear in my own mind, if you have defined a maximum number of attendees as 500, are people self erolling and does the system place them into waitlist status after person number 501 tries to enrol?
    Did you check the profile I mentioned? I wonder if it would accept a negative value?

    Updated to Adobe Muse 2014 this morning and have worked in it for the last 8 hours. Now when I try to publish the updated site to Business Catalyst for my client to preview it crashes everytime. I have tried just publishing altered files only, then tried the whole site again, and then tried publishing as a new site altogether. Thought I would then try to export as HTML in the hope of uploading the files via an FTP client and Muse crashes and locks up again. I am extremely stressed about this as I am in the last few days of of website I have been working on now with no issues since December. We are due to go live and my client needs to see it. I am desperate for an answer. It is not looking good. I am on an Apple Mac and have not had any isses publishing it for the last 6 months. Not very happy to say the least. Need desperate help.

    Hi Zak, I got onto Adobe Customer Care Live Chat this morning and gave them the error message. After some trouble shooting with them it appears the older archived file of the site still publishes. I have now reverted back to the old file and copied and pasted out of the new file and from some ideas given to me by support I am now able to publish to Business Catalyst. It seems there was something corrupt within the new pages added yesterday. I have no idea if this would have still happened if I hadn't updated but I am glad it wasn't a Muse specific problem. I am loving using Muse and the support from Adobe has been excellent. Thanks everyone. By the way I do love the new version and apart from this hick up that lost me a few hours, aged me some more and gave me grey hair I really love Muse. Thanks again.

  • Why is Adobe Muse 2014 reverting to the trial version?

    I loaded up Muse this morning and it told me there was an update, so I downloaded Adobe Muse 2014. When I try to load it, it goes into trial mode. If I say I want to licence it, it asks for a serial number. I don't remember having a serial for Muse, it just logs in with my Adobe ID. The old version still works fine, but the new one keeps bring up the trial version screen.
    I've tried to chat with an Adobe rep twice but both times have been told it's a 'technical' issue and I will be transferred to the relevant department. That's when the chat goes dead. I just want some help getting Muse 2014 to work!

    Okay, I have this sorted now. These are the steps it needs, should it happen to anyone else.
    1. Click on the "Finder" icon. Select the "Applications" folder
    2. Open the "Utilities" folder and select "Terminal"
    3. Type the following.
    sudo nano /private/etc/hosts
    4. Enter the OS user's associated password when prompted
    5. If any entries in the host file include keywords such as "ims" or "adobe," please delete those entries.
    6. Press control+o to save the file
    7. Press control+x to  close the file
    8. After the nano dialog closes, type the following in the Terminal window and hit the "Return" key
    dscacheutil -flushcache

    I try to make the latest update of Adobe Muse 2014.3 via creative clouds (member) I receive the error DF 015.

    Run the install again. If the error recurs, run CS Cleaner Tool and remove the products.

  • Why is part of the page cut off in Adobe Muse 2014?

    I installed Adobe Muse 2014 and experiencing a few issues. The Master pages are cut off at the bottom of Plan page. When I go into design, some of the toolbar is cut off & I can't access icons. When I go to page properties, the box opens up at the top left of the screen with only the bottom right of the page properties tool box showing. I don't have any scroll bars available (assuming they're cut off just as the toolbar) When I click to expand options, empty boxes flash and nothing shows up. I did not have these issues until I uploaded widgets from the library.

    It may have been rasterized (during flattening) if it interacted with any object containing transparency.
    Placing the text on a unique (InDesign) layer would alleviate such interactive flattening.
