Adobe Reader 7 mit Visual Basic

Hallo,
ich würde gerne den Adobe Reader 7 von VB aus so starten, dass die Suchmaske für die erweiterte Suche in einem bestimmten Index (erstellt mit Acrobat 5) angezeigt wird. Es soll keine Dokument geladen sein oder eine Suche durchgeführt sein.
Ich brings aber einfach nicht hin. Unter dem Acrobat Reader 5 hatte ichs noch mit Sendkeys versucht, jedoch je nach Geschwindigkeit des PC mit mehr oder weniger guten Erfolg.
Mit createobject("AcroExch.......) usw hab ichs auch versucht, das scheint aber unter dem Reader 7 nicht zu funktionieren. Oder doch?

Es scheint ein Fehler von der Java SWT-Funktion zu sein. Windows Explorer findet nämlich das Programm.

1. In Visual Basic ist nach Eingabe von pdDoc. die Funktion AVDocSaveOptimized nicht im Kontextmenü verfügbar. Allerdings ist auch keine Unterstreichung als Fehler vorhanden. Welcher Verweis ist notwendig, damit auch beim Überstreichen mit der Maus die Funktion mit Parametern angezeigt wird?
2. PdfParameter ist eine bestimmte Structure. Muss diese im Modul definiert werden oder ist diese im Acrobat-Verweis enthalten?
Wie muss die Definition von PdfParameter in Visual Basic aussehen (Zeile 2)?
Es wäre schön, wenn mir jemand weiterhelfen könnte.

The Acrobat SDK has different parts: JavaScript, Interapplication
Communication (which is what you are using), and the plug-in interface. You
cannot mix and match functionality across these different APIs. What you
are referring to is part of the plug-in interface (hence the sample code in
C - plug-ins are written in C/C++). You need to limit your search for API
functions to the IAC interface (or the JavaScript interface if you want to
to use the JSObject property of your PDDoc object).

Acrobat X Pro Drop-down Fields Do Not Appear on Adobe Reader for iPad. Help!

I am having a problem getting drop-down fields to appear on Adobe Reader for iPad. Basically, I need to create a form that includes drop-down fields, with the end result being a form that can be viewed and completed on an iPad, using the Adobe Reader app. Above all else, the end result needs to be viewable on an iPad.
I created a form using Acrobat X Pro within which drop-down fields work flawlessly. However, when I try to open this form on an iPad, the drop-down fields do not even appear. I have done some investigating on the Web (including these forums) and come to understand that this has to do with javascript limitations on Apple products, but have yet to discover a solution to my problem.
To summarize: does anyone know how to make drop-down fields appear in Abobe Reader for iPad app? Or, does anyone know a workaround in which I could have a drop-down menu (or something similar) in my form and have it work on Adobe Reader for iPad?
Thanks in advance for the help. I took on this project from my boss' boss, so I'd really like to get this done for him.

Thanks for the reply. I experienced the issue running the most recent version of the Adobe Mobile Reader app. I'm not sure I can convince the client to use anything else, but its worth a shot.
All I need is a simple drop-down list (multiple fields in the document) with 4 options that the user can select and submit as a form. Is this something EZ Pdf reader can do? Also, is EZ Pdf Reader free? (the reason I ask is I am an Android user and do not readily have access to a iPad).

meine Frage bezieht sich auf die "Zwei-Seiten-Nebeneinander"-Ansicht.
In dieser Ansicht wird bei Betätigung der Pfeiltaste automatisch um zwei Seiten weitergeblätter. Genauer gesagt werden immer ungerade Seitenzahlen auf der linken Seite und gerade Seitenzahlen auf der rechten Seite angezeigt.
1.Beispiel:
                    1 und 2
                    3 und 4
                    5 und 6
Gibt es die Möglichkeit in dieser Ansicht einzeln weiterzublättern?

Diese Möglichkeit gibt es nicht in Adobe Reader.
Mit Adobe Acrobat wäre es möglich die Seiten 2, 3, usw. zu verdoppeln. Man hätte dann im Dokument die Seiten 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, ..
Dann wäre eine Ansicht wie im 2. Beispiel möglich.

I Just wonder if Adobe Team has an edition of the latest Adobe reader featuring only the basic component of the reader. I think most individual are using adobe reader as a pdf reader only disregarding other features of it. This is essential in saving up space and cpu speed.

E-Mail in Outlook über Visual Basic mit Hilfe von AdobePDFMakerforOffice erstellen

Ich möchte gerne aus Visual Basic eine E-Mail aus Outlook als PDF abspeichern, wobei ich auch gerne die Anhänge mit im PDF abspeichern möchte. Dazu möchte ich das Addin in Outlook über Visual Basic verwenden.
Ich verwende derzeit VisualBasix Express und Adobe Acrobat XI Version 11.0.4.
Ich habe aufgrund von Quelltexten im Internet nachfolgenden Code erstellt, wobei ich das Objekt bzw. das Addin in Outlook das "AdobePDFMakerforOffice" anscheind nicht finden bzw. zuordnen kann.
Von Visual Basic wurde folgende Fehlermeldung angezeigt bei der markierten "-------->>" Zeile angezeigt:
"Zusätzliche Informationen: Das COM-Objekt des Typs "System.__ComObject" kann nicht in den Schnittstellentyp "AdobePDFMakerForOffice.PDFMaker" umgewandelt werden. Dieser Vorgang konnte nicht durchgeführt werden, da der QueryInterface-Aufruf an die COM-Komponente für die Schnittstelle mit der IID "{1FE6F30F-4AA0-4EB5-A61C-00C14761EC3E}" aufgrund des folgenden Fehlers nicht durchgeführt werden konnte: Schnittstelle nicht unterstützt (Ausnahme von HRESULT: 0x80004002 (E_NOINTERFACE))."
Es gibt wohl verschiedene Möglichkeiten das Objekt zu übernehmen, aber ich bekomme immer diese Fehlermeldung. Die Meldungen zwischendurch habe ich nur zur Bestätigung, dass Outlook bzw. das AdobePDFForOffice gefunden w bzw. connectet ist hinzugefügt.
Weiß hier jemand Rat ?

wie bzw. mit welchem Code kann ich unter "AdobePDFMakerForOffice" unter Visual Basic eine E-Mail als PDF einschl. des Anhang abspeichern bzw. generieren ?
Interessant ist dann noch die Angabe eines individuellen Dateinamen, welche sich aus Daten der E-Mail zusammen setzt. Haben Sie hier einen Beispiel-Code ?

Auslesen der 16 Analogkänale der Multi-IO Karte NI PCI-6036E mit Hilfe Visual Basic

Guten Tag,
Ich bin dabei ein Visual Basic Programm zu schreiben, welches bei der Multi-IO Karte "NI PCI-6036E" die Analogkanäle einlesen soll. Ab den Kanal ACH 8 bekomme ich immer eine Fehlermeldung:
"Laufzeitfehler 10007
Reading Data
A channel, port, or counter is out of range for the device type or device configuration;…".
Ich kann also nur die ersten acht von den 16 Analogkanäle einlesen. Als Vorlage habe ich mir das von NI mitgelieferte Beispielprogramm "AIAOPoint" genommen. Welches sich in den Ordner "..\Programme\National Instruments\NI-DAQ\Examples\Visual Basic" installiert hat. Bei diesem Programm liegt der gleiche Fehler vor.
Liegt es daran, dass ich eine Freewareversion von den Visual Basic Komponenten benutze? Wenn ja, ab welcher Version wäre mir geholfen und wo bekomme ich sie her? Oder muss ich unter VB noch einige Eigenschaften bei der Komponente "CWAIPoint" einstellen um die vollen 16 Kanäle auszulesen zu können?

Das Problem wird durch den Messmodus verursacht. Sie messen differentiell. In diesem Messmodus werden immer zwei Eingangskanal zur Messung eines Eingangssignals genutzt (0 und 8, 1 und 9, usw.), so dass insgesamt nur 8 Eingangskanäle zur Verfügung stehen. Der Vorteil dieses Messmodus ist die erhöhte Störsicherheit.
Wollen Sie alle 16 Kanäle nutzen, müssen Sie entweder Referenced Single Ended (massebezogen) oder Non Referenced Single Ended messen. Diese Einstellung können Sie z. B. im MAX vornehmen.

Adobe Reader 7.0 issue with Visual Studio 2003

I'm working on a windows form using Visual Studio 2003(Dot Net Framework 1.1) and has got a PDF Viewer in that application to show the reports in PDF Viewer (Adobe Reader 7.0). After adding the reference of COM component (Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Browser Document), I'm unable to build my visual studio solution because of an error "Unable to emit assembly: Referenced assembly 'Interop.AcroPDFLib' does not have a strong name". The same visual studio solution works fine with Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0. Pleae help me to overcome this issue...

i successfully use j2sdk 1.4_13, but i am aware of issues when you use jdk 1.5 for other SAP [Portal] related products, try jdk 1.4_12 or 1.4_13 and see if there is any difference
also is there any requirment for VS 2003 & 2005 on the same machine ?

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library runtime Error Adobe Reader 9.3.2.163

I have not been able to find any posts that describe the problem I just uncovered, so that is why I am posting it here.
Two errors seen so far:
1 : In Internet Explorer 7, opening a PDF we get
"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Llibrary" (title bar message)
Runtime Error!

2: In Windows Explorer double click a PDF, or open Adobe Reader directly from the Start Menu

This is working in our legacy Terminal Server environment. We are migrating to a new Terminal Server environment using XenApp 5, and ran into this problem. The big different is we are redirecting Application Data to a different path than we used to. However, the old way was also a network UNC path (which I understand was a big problem in 7.0)
We are running:
32-bit Windows 2003 R2 SP2 Terminal Server
Using Adobe Reader 9.3.2.163
Using Application Data folder redirection to \\server\share\%username\folder\folder\Application Data
*** The older legacy environment used \\server\%username\folder\folder\Application Data; as we wanted all user profiles to come in through a single share, which so far has been working fine.
The difference we have found is users do not have file permission to the root of the new single share. for example for simplicities sake, lets say \\server\share is c:\users and under C:\users we have bjones, jdoe etc. users have full control to their own folder, but not to c:\users. Since the share maps to c:\users, \\server\share is actually not writable to users, but \\server\share\%username% is. So far so good ...
Except when analyzing what is going on before the crash (using sysinternals Process Monitor) I found the AcroRd32 does a little verification dance up the entire share and folder structure, creating and reading files and folders. Because of this dance, and the lack of permissions I surmised it must be failing. In Process Monitor I could see AcroRd32.exe checking the share, then my user folder then it dies with a "NAME COLLISION" because it tries to create a folder or file with the same name as one that already exists. So I gave my test user account full control access to the entire structure and now my test account is working.
So we are going to either abandon this idea or re-apply permissions to all our profile folders. Not sure yet.
I am more or less reporting this for others to benefit, and if Adobe can check into why their application feels like it must walk down the entire folder structure to verify it exists that would be an added bonus.

Problem mit öffnen mehrerer PDF's in Adobe Reader X

Ich habe ein Problem bei einem unserer Kunden mit Adobe Reader X.
Es besteht das Problem, dass das öffnen von mehreren PDF Dateien nur verzögert möglich ist. Es wird jeweils das erste angeklickte PDF ohne Probleme geöffnet und alle anderen nicht mehr. Diese bleiben irgendwo im Hintergrund hängen und gehen entweder erst nach
einer Wartezeit von etwa 1-2 Minuten alle miteinander auf oder wenn ich das erste geöffnete PDF schliesse poppen sie alle auf.
Es spielt dabei keine Rolle ob das PDF auf der Festplatte lokal oder über ein Netzlaufwerk geöffnet wird. Ich konnte lediglich etwas im Taskmanager beobachten. Normalerweise werden ja nur 2 AdobeRD32.exe Prozesse gestartet und bleiben auch nur 2 wenn ich mehrere gleichzeitig öffne. Beim Kunden PC ist dies aber nicht der Fall. Es werden für jedes geöffnete PDF 2 Prozesse gestartet.
Weiss zufällig jemand wo der Fehler liegt oder wie man diesen beseitigen kann?
Folgende Software wird eingesetzt:
Windows 7 32 - und 64 bit
Adobe Reader X Version 10.0.1

Das Problem tritt normalerweise auf, wenn eine Dialogbox offen ist oder wenn das Programm glaubt, es ist eine Dialogbox offen. Möglich ist auch irgendeine Sicherheitseinstellung, die das Öffnen von PDFs blockiert.
Ich würde sowieso empfehlen, die neueste Version, das ist Adobe Reader XI zu installieren. Allerdings muss, um die gleiche Multimediafähigkeit wie in X zu erreichen der bis dahin integrierte Flash Player extra installiert werden. Aus Sicherheitsgründen hat Adobe die Flash-Player-Integration in der letzten Version entfern.

Visual basic 6.0 source code for reading DAQ 6015 USB

I am doing a specific software in Visual Basic 6.0 to measure some characteristics of a filter.
To do that I use a NI DAQ 6015 for USB; I need to drive a pressure controller by an analogic output with an increasing (step by step) tension DC.
Can anyone give me the source code to do this.
It seems that I have another problem : the sensors give me a right tension DC, but after the MAX software gives me always +10 Volts : is it a malfunction of the card or of the software; in this last case, can anyone give me the good code.

Visual Basic 6.0 is now supported by NI-DAQmx 7.5, so you can directly use the NI-DAQmx drivers to use your DAQPad-6015.
You can find an analog output example in the following folder "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\NI-DAQ\Examples\Visual Basic 6.0\Analog Out\Generate Voltage\Cont Gen Volt Wfm-Int Clk". This will show you how to generate a continuous waveform.
Concerning the voltage that is at 10 volts, it looks like you misconfigure the external connection. You should take a look at the NI-DAQmx help file in the section "Measurement Fundamentals >> Signals >> Analog >> Connecting Analog Input Signals" to check that you use the correct configuration.

How to read an APO table from excel in place using Visual Basic ?

We have enhanced some APO reports using layouts that use excel in place with custom visual basic (VB) code. For example, the VB code can append the data with additional columns that perform specific calculations and then proceed to create pivot table reports in excel..That is working fine.
The challenge is to see if that VB code could read specific APO tables (e.g. product master tables) to bring additional elements into excel and thus expand the report content. We know that additional fields can be added to the reports, but having the flexibility to read tables from VB could be more flexible.
Can that be done?. If so, would it be possible using exclusively the VB code attached to the layout, i.e. no ABAP?

I am assuming you are doing this either using BeX analyzer or by reading the planning book using the RFC ActiveX component and a BAPI.
I think it's possible to retrieve the data from the product master table. Here are my thoughts on how can this be done:
1) You can create a generic datasource (transaction RSO2) for the product master table, connect that to a BW remotecube and use a BeX query to retrieve that values. You can then join the queries using VBA. Alternatively, you can build a muti-provider that connects your current InfoCube to the new RemoteCube and build a query from there. The multi-provider, in this case, joins the data (no more VBA).
2) If you have already loaded your product master data into master data carrying InfoObjects then you can try the same technique as #1 but this time there is no need to create the generic datasource. You can use the InfoObjects for your master data as the InfoProviders for your query.
3) You can try the ActiveX component from SAP which can connect to any emote enabled function in SAP system. SAP already provided some BAPIs (check transaction BAPI for a list) which might be able to provide the data. You can also create your own function modules (be sure to make it remote enabled) using ABAP. (transaction SE37).

A basic questions. My laptop VISTA has Reader X (10.1.4) installed. Internet add ons has Adobe PDF llink helper enabled. I am not able to open PDF files?

You cannot able to open pdf files on your computer or you cannot open pdf files in your webbrowser? If you cannot open pdfs in your browser, what browser are you using?
