Adobe Reader printing 4 pages, over top each other on 1 page

I created a form for my office in LiveCycle. It's 4 pages with lots of fields to input data. I extended features to Reader users, which is what my coworkers use when they fill it out. It worked fine for several months. Suddenly, the form is printing all 4 of it's pages over top of each other on 1 page.
I've printed the same file from a different computer on a different printer, and it comes out fine. I've also printed it from a different computer, to the same printer, and it comes out fine. So, therefore, I believe the problem lies with that specific machine, and/or perhaps its Reader settings. But I've gone through all the print and document settings and can't find anything that looks out of the ordinary.
Can anyone shed some light on what might be causing this? Is it a print setting, or is there a way to reset Reader's settings to default?

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.<br />

Adobe pro - print settings: How do i make a custom page size list, which i can copy to my other computers who have adobe pro installed?

your right.. i ment acrobat pro :-)
my problem is that i use the PDF printer to export CAD drawings as PDF´s.
As it is now, there are some pre-defined page sizes in the print settings, and i know i can add custom pages manually one at a time.
What i want is to copy the list of my danish standard page sizes, and use them on my other versions of acrobat.
Its like 70 different sizes, and i have them made manually on my current computer, but i hope its possible to copy the list to other computers.
Maby its some script where i can define the sizes, and then copy to another computer. Im just not that much of a computer genius :-)
Hope i got through this without to many spelling mistakes...
    Thanks for helping.

  • Adobe Reader - Print Dialoge box is usable

Yesterday I was running Reader ver. 10.1.3 on a Windows 2008 x64 Terminal Server.  All users Adobe Reader print dialoge boxes now open up very very large.  Any visible font is perhpas 10" tall (see screenshots below).  Drop down pick lists don't display text, and neither does any of the buttons (see screenshots below).  As long as you just want a standard print, you can press enter to activate the defaulted print button.  You can press the ESC key to exit the print dialoge form.  Printing is all being done to Networked printers and I get the same screen no matter what printer is set to be the default printer.
Sometimes (rarely) the print dialoge box will display normal size, and it will display the page your going to print, but as per above, there is no text on the buttons or drop down boxes.  The sample screenshot below took up my entire 1920x1080 screen and is just a small portion of the dialoge box size.  I have to scroll around three screen lengths to get to the other side of the dialoge box. There is no verticle scroll bars, so I can't scroll down to the bootom of the dialoge box.  Nor are there any window resize options (see last screenshot below)
Here is a closeup shot of the top LH side of the Dialoge box:
Below is a screenshot of the top RH corner (I had to scroll three window lengths to get to it):
The Word and Excel etc. Print Dialoge boxes are all working ok.  I have tested different default printers with the Reader Print Dialoge box window and get the same looking screen.
The first thing I tried was to just reboot the Terminal Server (TS).  I was supprised to find that I had the same problem.  I tried upgrading to 10.1.4  and rebooted the TS.  I still have the same problem.  I see that someone else has sort of had a similar issue to mine:  http://forums.adobe.com/message/4559861 But don't really see a response on how or if it was resolved.
Anyone have an idea of whats going wrong and how to fix this?
    Thanks.

As mentioned above, every now and then people will see a normal sized dialoge box.  Here are two examples:

  • Adobe Reader Printing Problem

I have a PC with Windows XP SP3. When I try to print a PDF document, I get the following message: "The document could not be printed. There were no pages selected to print." Of course, I had selected the pages to print.
Recently, I had many problems with Adobe Reader 10, so I removed it and reloaded Adobe 9. Today, when this printing problem appeared, I did a restore on my computer, taking it back a few months. I still have the printing problem.
Any idea what's wrong? Any idea how to fix it?

I have Acrobat Pro 9, but the feature I am using is listed under my
    printers.
If I go to Print, then in the drop-down list of printers, I have PDF -
which essentially creates a new PDF document.  I don't really understand
why it worked, but it did.  The Print - PDF is also available to Word,
    Publisher, etc.
    Hope tis works.

You move it as you would move any other data files or documents; nothing special about PDF files.
Easiest way is to copy them to a memory stick.
Another way is to upload them to Files or Workspaces at Acrobat.com

  • Adobe Reader-Printing 2 PDF Pages On One

Hi - I am using Adobe Reader version 9 in Windows Vista. I am trying to combine two pdf pages into one page via a pdf printer. The pages are small enough that two can fit on one page. I can get two onto one page but each of the pages is smaller than I want them to be. Is there any way to make the output larger? I would like each of the pages to print larger and there to be less white space. Thanks!

You can not do those tasks with Reader. Reader is a view program only, though some filling of forms and such is possible. To edit a PDF, you have to purchase Acrobat.
If I have misunderstood your question it may be that I use Acrobat and not Reader. In that case, ask your question in the Reader forum (link at the top of this forum).

  • Adobe Reader Printing first page miniature - rest fine

    Hi,
Currently running Reader 11.0.07 and am having a printing issue similar to the below known issue in Reader X.
"Xerox printers shrink page content to 1/10 or 1/20 of the original size, and print the content in the upper left part of the paper. This behavior occurs when both of these options are selected in the Print dialog box: Choose Paper Source By PDF Page Size and Use Custom Paper Size When Needed. [2392553]"
Is there any timeline for the issue to be resolved?

    Hi,
Additionally the driver being used is a KM C360 PS 3.6.0.0 and the Postscript pass through mode is enabled.
When testing and disabling the pass through mode of the driver being used (XC, FX, Lemark ....) the first page (also including mixed paper size) is rendered correctly for the entire document output.
Looking at the PS generated output for the KM driver in pass through mode has a difference between the prescript for the first page and any others following:
Example - First page A4 size generates the following.
    %%BeginPageSetup
    /ovlsetup [ 72 600 V 0 0 -72 600 V 12 830 ] def

Note that the concat override is not specified (including matrix).
Removing this line "[1 0 0 -1 0 842 ]ct" allows the document to correctly render in the correct orientation but the scale and transform are not specified corectly.
Page 2 shows that an additional difference is made by Reader in pass through mode:
    8.33333 8.33333 scale

    Adobe_CoolType_Core/pt get exec
    Adobe_AGM_Core/pt gx
    currentdict Adobe_AGM_Utils eq {end} if
    %%EndPageSetup
Note that the issue is only generated by the printing through a driver in pass through mode. Setting print as image is not an option as the produced spool file is to large.
Additionally, the paper size cannot be resized and must have the (above) option set during printing - any other permutations of the "Size" options during printing cause issues during printing (e.g. A3 -> A4 or mixed A4/3 -> A4).
    Thanks in advance
    Cheers

Oops, I forgot to NOTE: this only happens when I'm printing a pdf from online.  If I'm printing from a saved file from my computer adobe reader works just fine. so it's something with the settings of adobe reader and my browser.  I use chrome, always have and I'm just now experiencing issues these past couple of weeks.  I'm sure it's just a simple little box to check or uncheck or something, so I'm hoping someone can steer me in the right direction.
    Thanks!

  • Set default page setup settings in adobe acrobat so adobe reader prints to tray 2 on my printer by default?

I want to set a tray on my printer to be the default for just adobe reader without setting the default for windows. When i set page setup settings it reverts to the defaults when i open new PDFs and i want this seetin to save.

I would suggest creating a second instance of the printer in Windows with tray 2 as the default tray - select that printer from Acrobat.

  • Adobe Reader print size reduced from page to page

When I try to print a pdf file using Adobe Reader 7.0.9
under Linux Fedora Core 6, I get the print size reduced
from page to page. After several pages, the whole page
text are centered and the words are too small to see.
I can print the pdf files perfectly with Adobe Reader
under windows, and all pdf files have the same problem
    with adobe reader under Linux.
I can look at pdf files using Document Viewer or KPDF
and these print correctly. I can also look at them
with KGhostView, but this prints in the same peculiar
way as Adobe Reader used to print.
If I choose to print a pdf file to a ps file,
this creates a ps file that prints just fine.
I don't have this printing problem until one day
I used a small "Scale: % of Normal Size"

I have a lot free space and the computer is networked.

  • Adobe Reader prints tiny pages

Hi folks.  I don't know if I am in the right forum, but here goes:
I have a MacBook Pro mid-2009 that is running Snow Leopard.  Since I bought the laptop, I have been unable to correctly print pdf files using Adobe Reader.  The document prints out centered on the page but is only roughly 3 1/4" x 5 1/4" instead of the 8x11 it is supposed to be.  The document properties show up as letter sized, I have the Adobe print settings as "Actual size".  The printer is set to 8 x 11 as well.
The problem is only on pdfs on this computer.  Pages documents, websites, etc. all print correctly. I have the same problem on different brand printers.  My other Macs will all print the pdf's correctly, so I know it isn't a printer problem.
The pdf's print correctly if I use Preview, so that makes me think it is an Adobe Reader problem.  I have deleted my Reader and reinstalled but have the same problem.
Does anyone have any ideas?  This is my laptop for work (as opposed to my old net-surfing model), so I really do need to be able to print pdf's.  I have always gotten frustrated trying to troubleshoot this myself and given up and used another computer up to this point, but it is getting to be a nuisance.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Strange, if I set the scale at say 30%, the text is tiny, 100% full size. From your post, it seems you have done all the things you would need to do. I wonder if Adobe has an issue. Attached some screen shots, cause sometimes I'm not clear when typing.
AT 30% whole page was about 2"x2" 100% full page. Strange that it does not change size. I am running Adobe reader 11.0.01, OSX 10.6.8. Best of luck
