Adresses not found in "online" mode :-(

I have a 5800 Navigation Edition.
I have entered adresses for all my contacts (country, zip, street).
If I set "maps" to NOT to connect to Internet and do a search it says
"Searching in offline mode" and finds all the adresses OK.
BUT if I set "Maps" to connect to Internet at start and do a search THEN it says
"Searching in online mode" and then "nothing found"
WHY? If it can't find it online, why doesn't it search in the offline (on phone) database?

I solved this problem creating a new Timer DB on an external database, the creation script can be found in <as-installation>/lib/install/databases after this you must
1. create-jdbc-connection-pool
2. create-jdbc-resource
3. set <cluster-config>.ejb-container.ejb-timer-service.timer-datasource=<datasource name>

Ip adress not found

for some odd reason i cant connect to the internet through my router. When i got to its setup page, under status it says that its ip adress is 000.000.0.0. Which means that it is not able to find the ip adress. my internet provider is comcast cable network

hi... connect the modem >> router >> pc and power cycle the entire network by unplugging the power cable of the modem and the router...wait for couple of mins. and power up the modem first and then the router...check wehther internet works or not...if not logon to the router's setup page...open I.E. and in the address bar type 192.168.1.1 it would ask for username and the password, put "admin" (default password) as password without any username...click on the tab called MAC address clone, enable it and click on the clone you's pc's MAC and save the settings...power cycle the entire netwok...check whether it works for you or not and let me know...if it still doesn't work out let me know the model and the version no. of the router that you are using...

I just tried searching for error code ORA-39151 in Oracle 10g and 11g documentation and there were no hits. I was trying to find the meaning and actions for this error code which was posted in forums.

Can't get online. Error message says current status is "offline." I uncheck "offline" in the File Menu but it goes back offline again immediately and will not stay in online mode..

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, things have gotten progressively worse now in another direction. After I posted this, I shut down my computer to go to work. It had to "rebuild" the filevault sparseimage to recover space.
Now when I restarted it, I am missing things from my dock, ? marks are in their place, all of my preferences have been set to some default AND this is the biggie - I have no mail accounts whatsoever. When I click on Mail, it asks me if I want to establish a new account. It looks like the FileVault action has totally screwed up my system.
I tried rebuilding the permissions as recommended above using safe boot. Didn't help. I am now trying to repair the FileVault sparseimage as recommended elsewhere. I think I now see what the problem might be. I have two different sparseimages for the same account with the only difference is that a 1 is appended to the second one. Unfortunately I can't tell which it is. I have a feeling I should repair the 1st one (without the suffix 1). It must not be able to open that and hence that is why it made a second one.
Any other help anyone?

If you have tried all of the steps in this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1559 and have completed all of the user troubleshooting, restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new, then make an appointment with the Apple store to have the hardware checked.

I have a PC computer and an i-phone 4S. I set up an i-tunes acct online w/ icloud. After a recent update my PC started receiving an error message on start up. It says "AppleSyncNotifier.exe - Entry Point Not Found". It also says, " The procedure entry point smlTextreaderConstName could not be located in the dynamic link library libxml2.dll". I click on OK and it moves on. It doesn't seem to affect my computer, but it's annoying. Any ideas on correcting this?

UPDATE - (Made a second post so it'd be clearer)
I uninstalled Office 2003, then iTunes, then all of the associated software (Mobile Device Support, Apple Update, Quicktime, EVERYTHING)
Reinstalled Office 2003, then Office 2003's Service Pack 3, then all Microsoft Updates for Office 2003. Then I configured a blank Outlook profile, no data other than the IMAP info for my .Mac/Me account. Then I downloaded (didn't used my existing copy) of iTunes 7.7 and reinstalled. Sync'd phone. Changed MobileMe settings. Told it to sync contacts and calendar with Outlook. It warned me because it was the first sync. Told it to take ALL of the MobileMe data and replace the data on the computer (which was blank.) NOTHING showed up in Outlook. When I tell it to sync Contacts with the Windows Address Book, it works fine.
In Conclusion, it still won't sync with Outlook, when it's set to Sync with Outlook I still get the annoying MAPI errors. So I switched to to Sync the Contacts with the Windows Address Book, and I'm backing up my WAB file now with my nightly backups.
I suppose we'll see if it gets fixed when I format/reinstall on Vista Ultimate in the next month or two. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm open and willing to try them.
On a completely unproductive note: Despite my love for Exchange, I hate MAPI.

Windows 8 Pro Final (9200) BitLocker in UEFI mode not working, Element not found

Hi,
with the latest bios (either 1.37a (for Windows 8 Beta Driver test (June 2012) or 1.39 (Current) of the W520 and final release of Windows 8 Pro (Build 9200) BitLocker comes up with "Element not found" when trying to activate for the system drive in UEFI only mode.
In a new legacy only mode installation BitLocker works fine.
In both cases all devices in device manager are recognized. TPM 1.2 is active and working with e.g. the client security solution and fingerprint software.
I thought the UEFI / BitLocker issues have already been solved?!
Is there still an issue with the UEFI only mode of the W520?
Any thoughts or a bios update within sight?

Haven't heard of this issue with Win8. The issue with Win7/UEFI/bitlocker from last year is definitely solved.

EDIT: I tried this just now with Win8 Pro on T420 (same BIOS code base as W520) in UEFI mode. And bitlocker works fine. So I'm sure what problem is happening on your W520.

Viewing form in Preview Mode Failed. Error: Table not found [131-183]

Hi,
I have created a user form in screen painter in SBODemo. Created UDT, UDF & Registered UDO through my SDK code.
Everything works fine.
But when i run my addon on any other DB, and open my custom form it gives an error : Table Not Found.
I have checked the UDT's , UDF's & my UDO, all are in place and getting created in the DB.
I tried checking the Form again in screen painter everything is in line. But when i try preview in screen painter it gives an error
Viewing form in Preview Mode Failed. Error: Table not found [131-183].
I can't figure out the issue, i have checked my codes & forms many times.

Check your screen painter, probably some fields are defined without the "@" character in front.
for fields, check the "U_".

OBIEE : Newly created rpd file not showing in the online mode in Admin tool

I have recently installed OBIEE 10.1.3.4.2 and Oracle XE databse in a Windows XP (Professional version 2002 Service Pack 3) virtual machine on my Windows 7 machine.
1) I have create an rpd file in Admin tool (all three layers). But I can only load this rpd file in offline mode, not in online mode.
a)Saved the file sanjay1.rpd in c:\OracleBI\server\Repository directory
b)Updated the c:\OracleBI\server\config\NQSConfig.ini (commented out the existing Star entry and replaced it with Star = sanjay1.rpd, DEFAULT;),
c)Modified the C:\OracleBIData\web\config\instanceconfig.xml and made change to the CatalogPath entry (<CatalogPath>C:/OracleBIData/web/catalog/sanjay1</CatalogPath>)
d)Stopped and restarted OC4J, “Oracle BI Presentation Server” and “Oracle BI Server” services.
But I am still not able to load sanjay1.rpd in the Admin tool in the online mode. It is showing up only in the offline mode. What do I need to do load the file in the online mode.
2)The existing Start entry in NQSConfig.ini was Star = samplesales.rpd, DEFAULT before I updated it. But samplesales.rpd is not showing up in online mode either. When I am selecting File/Open/Online a popup is coming up with title "Open Online AnalyticsWeb" and prompting to enter Administrator password. I would like to know why samplesales.rpd was not showing up in online mode and where is AnalyticsWeb coming from.

Is did not work.
1)Wihile the servers were running I opened the rpd in offline mode. It displayed the message the file can only be opened in the Read-Only mode. I accepted the message, opened the file and clsoed it and exited from Admin tool. I stopped the 2 services “Oracle BI Presentation Server” and “Oracle BI Server” in that order, and restrated them in the reverse order. In the admin tool it is still showing in the offline mode only
2)I have as such no interest in AnalyticsWeb that is showing in the online mode. I did not create it, it must have been installed along with OBIEE. But I am curious where it is coming from. Because A)There is no rpd file for AnalyticsWeb in the Repository Directory B)Before I edited the NQSConfig.ini the default setting was samplesales.rpd. So AnalyticsWeb was never included in the NQSConfig.ini file C) samplesales.rpd was included in the NQSConfig.ini once, but it never showed up online.

Task notes do not get synchronized in Online mode

I've come across something odd with Outlook 2013 and was hoping for your wisdom. When I create a task with notes on a mobile device (tested with WIndows phone 8.1 and iOS 8), the notes portion of the task will only sync with outlook (via Exchange
2013) if it's in cached exchange mode. Now we have several users who log in using RDS, and Outlook is configured for online mode only. When Outlook is in Online mode, the notes field of a task does not sync correctly.
Any help would be appreciated.

It showed the notes in OWA, but still no joy in Outlook on our terminal server (in Online mode) after deleting and recreating the profile.
Also repeatable on my workstation when I change outlook from cached exchange mode to online mode.
Changes I make while in online mode sync back to the other devices, just not the other way around.

It seems that the Task notes can be viewed correctly in OWA but not in Outlook on your terminal server. Please check whether there is any mail related scanning or third-party add-ins in your Outlook client and local machine.
We can start Outlook in safe mode and change a computer without RDS to check whether the issue persists.
Additionally, please create the Task notes with Outlook client instead of using Mobile device. Then check whether the issue can be reproduced.

Single user mode . using tail -f (command not found)

Have an empty computer with no systems disk as the installation CD start up will not go past the grey screen with the rotating logo before the panic crash page comes up and tells me to restart the computer.
Trying to boot into single user mode and then use the command tail -f to see contents of some of the logs... BUT I get the reply tail command not found ????

If the hard drive is empty, then you can only boot from the CD. Regardless of whether or not it has "tail," it won't do you any good. There are no logs.
