Advantage of Hotspot

what is the advantage of Hotspot?

1.) You do know what Google is? If not, then let me be the first to welcome you to the Internet! And visit http://www.google.com/.
2.) Why don't you just post a reply in your original thread? It's basically the same topic, so no need to start a new thread.
3.) Did you even try to find it out yourself, first? If not, see item 1.)
4.) If you are simply to lazy to do any work on your own, then let me tell you that entering your question in Google is actually less work than creating a post in here and coming back later to check for answers.
5.) It's rude to not even acknowledge that you got an answer. Ideally you'd thank for an answer and tell us if it helped you, but I stopped hoping for this long ago.

  • Hotspot vs Classic

What is the advantage of Hotspot VM over Classic VM? Does the hotspot vm use method inlining?

Wouldn't it be easier just to tell the poor fellow that Hotspot is made by Sun. It's a trademark for some technology, that can optimize and recompile a running program based on profiling and analysing the programs behaviour (thus finding "hot spots" in the program, which are good candidates for better optimization). IBM has something similar but without the fancy name on it.
    The algorithmic perspective...
It could be argued that it is not the forum. But then again: Try to look at it from an algorithmic point of view - it does not get less interesting now, does it?
The first JVMs were byte code interpreters or simulators. The technique of interpreting the code was quite slow, but a great deal easier to implement.
The next generation of JVMs were able to compile the byte code, or even start executing a program by interpreting the byte code, while it was being translated (compiled) into platform dependant machine code instructions.
HotSpot (and similar techniques) does somethin similar, but extends the technique, by being able to re-compile the byte code. During the re-compilation the optimizer may choose to use techniques like inlining methods (ie. place a copy of a method body instead of making a method call), loop-unrolling (a special technique to optimize loops by minimizing loop-termination checks), and lots of other clever stuff.
This runtime re-compilation has the potential to outrun statically compiled programs like C++ -based programs. Further more: You do not have to re-compile your programs when Sun or IBM comes up with better ways of optimizing. You simply install a new JVM, and you programs runs faster!
    Did this answer your questions?
    Kind regards

  • How to use airport

I have been travelling a lot and I would like to take advantage of hotspots around the world. How do I equip my Powerbook?
I found an Airport set up assistant, but it says there is not the hardware, is that the 'Airport card', which I need to purchase separately?
I have read other postings where it explains to look for the Airport icon in network, I do not seem to have one.
    Thank you for any help
    Cristina

You need to make sure your Powerbook is Airport ready. You will need to check you specs on your Powerbook.
You can also check your hardware by going to the system profiler. This will show you what hardware you have installed.
If you have an Airport called installed you can configure it by going into preferences and then networking. It might be turned off.
The airport assistant is a tool to setup an Airport Express or Extreme base station. It isn't for the airport card on a system.
If you don't have an Airport card and it is Airport ready then just go to the Apple store and purchase an Airport card.

  • Mobile hotspots---what are the advantages?  better reception?

What are the advantages of getting a mobile hotspot---such as the Verizon Jetpack 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot MiFi 4620L---over simply using the hotspot feature of a tablet (such as the Samsung Galaxy 7.7" or a Motorola Xyboard 8.2") or smartphone (such as the Samsung Stratosphere)?
More specifically, is the reception better?  For example, in an area of marginal data signal strength, would the mobile hotspot be more likely (as a sort of specialized device) to get a usable signal than would a mobile-hotspot-enabled tablet or smartphone?

Mobile Hotspot devices like the MiFi products are likely to be more configurable than the hotspot features you are provided with by your smart phone/tablet.
Probabally the biggest difference is that a MiFi can support more devices than your smart device.  Another example would be purchasing a larger battery for a MiFi.  Running a hotspot feature on your phone will drain your phone battery quicker.  Haveing a MiFi may extend your battery life and connection sessions simply because the connected devices and mifi do not rely on each other for power.  As AZ mentioned, performance will boil down to the hardware/radios that have been installed.  More powerful equiptment will always perform better.
In reality they both do the same thing, provide you and others a connection to the internet that you can bring where ever you go.

  • I had planned on taking advantage of the Unlimited Data Loophole but... (VZW REP PLEASE READ)

I had planned on taking advantage of the Unlimited Data Loophole by upgrading a phone that was originally on a tiered plan then activating the iPhone 5 on that plan I would then have taken the iPhone 5 and and then activated it on a number that is currently a 4G unlimited plan. I would  then reactivate the original iPhone 4S that was on tiered data plan.
I was advised by a VerizonWireless customer service rep over the phone a few months ago on how to do this process. I later called back after the iPhone 5 was released and verified that this process would work so I could keep my unlimited data plan while upgrading on the the Tiered Data Plan Number.
That was then and this is now...
Recently I had a failure of the 4G unlimited data handset and decided expedite the process as much as possible trying accomplish this process ASAP. I was told that the process mentioned above was phased out and one could only upgrade an unlimited plan to an iPhone 5 by paying full price for the handset and then activating the iPhone on the current unlimited data number. I told the rep on the phone at this time that I was advised that I could take advantage of the Data Loophole via the process mentioned above and it should have been annotated on the customer service record as a reference of the conversation. However was adamant that this process was phased out and was no longer possible. I told him that I felt he was wrong but I had no one else to got to. This is my second and largest problem... I can't find anyone that will stand up for what I have been told or that can fully commit to what they are saying.
So now I've been on a mission.
I needed to find some resource that stated that I could order the iPhone 5 on a Tiered Data Number, activate it and then move the iPhone 5 to the unlimited data plan number. Everywhere I looked I found that it appeared that the most recent conversation I had with the VZW rep was correct and if I wanted the iPhone 5 on my unlimited plan I would have to pay nearly $1000 (64GB version with Taxes and a case) for the opportunity to use the iPhone 5 in an unlimited manner.
Today I ponied up and a gave up the big bucks because I did the math and figured so long as I was not I was not giving up unlimited plan and I could keep the pricing I was able to get that plan at I would receive a return on additional costs in less than 2 years. Very shortly my plan will go from 4 billed numbers (3 handesets and one tablet) to 2 billed numbers.
This evening while researching another subject (Google Voice Mail on iPhone) I came across a VZW rep advising on how to do the exact process I wanted to do in beginning rather than paying the almost $1000.

I bet you're excited to get your brand new iPhone 5. I'm jealous! I want one too.
If you ordered the phone on one of your lines that is on the tiered data you can activate it on that line and then switch it to your line with the unlimited data plan. This will allow you to keep the unlimited data plan because you are not upgrading and accepting a discount on the line with the unlimited data plan. The only way you would lose the unlimited data plan is by upgrading the line with the unlimited data plan and accepting a discount on the device.
    Hope this answers your question.

    ===============================
I am so confused and frustrated. I can I believe? Who in Verizon stands up for what they say? Who actually "knows" what works and what doesn't work?
Even the process I went through this morning was a debacle, The Store manager and his "Very Experienced Customer Representative"  told me that the full retail process would not allow me to keep my data plan. One of them was giddy after it worked and the other was disappointed. The good part about it is that I was told that I could cancel the order at no cost to me so long as it hasn't shipped.
So back to my 1st 2 questions
    1) Will the original process work? (Activate on Tiered data plan handset and then move it to a set had the 4G unlimited so long as there is an upgrade available?
    2) Who will put their JANE OR JOHN HANCOCK on the correct process and make sure that I am nit being taken advantage of?
I work for a very large corporation that has a very large contract with VZW with great discounts. They don't discount everything and I could have probably went to our VZW corporate rep but I want to deal with the same people the rest of my family talks to.
JOHN B? Can you advise me? I pay VZW big bucks and I don't complain too often and I am hoping that I can be treated as we as I treat mu customer and get a truth that the organization as a whole will stand behind.
Sorry that it is so long but If you only knew the number of conversations and the amount or reading and the outright bull I had to ingest to get this far.
    Thanks

    PS...
P.S. Anyone have Google Voice Mail on the iPhone? I love the transrcibed  SMS text messages relating to the actual voice mail message and an email with .wav files that I can forward or respond via email if needed. If not I would have to give it up (pluse I have a GREAT secondary telephone number I would hate to give up.
Also can my National Unlimited plan set have the 4G hotspot feature added to it? Is it still 2GB for $20?
    Thanks again

After further telephonic conversations with VZW it was again verified that what the rep that told me previously, that it was IMPOSSIBLE to use this UNLIMITED DATA loophole happened to be 100% WRONG/FALSE/LIES/MISUNDERSTOOD/STUPID/UNEDUCATED/MISREPRESENTED.
THE UNLIMITED DATA LOOPHOLE WORKS AT THIS TIME, SO LONG AS YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
    [ (A) =  4G UNLIMITED DATA PLAN ]
    [ (B) =  TIERED DATA PLAN PLAN ]
You already have a family plan with at least 1 4G UNLIMITED DATA PLAN (A) or You have an individual account with a 4G UNLIMITED DATA PLAN (A). It makes a difference as to how you go about it but  the result is the same.
You have a TIERED DATA PLAN number that has an immediate upgrade available (B) or your account has a number with an immediate upgrade available that can be transferred that number with the TIERED DATA PLAN (B), you would transfer that upgrade to the TIERED DATA PLAN number to begin the process.
You will then purchase an upgrade iPhone 5 on the TIERED DATA PLAN account (B) AT THE DISCOUNTED RATE.
ONCE THE NEW UPGRADED iPHONE 5 ARRIVES AND HAS BEEN ASSIGNED TO THE FORMERLY TIERED DATA PLAN NUMBER (B) IT MUST BE LEFT THERE FOR A 24 HOUR PERIOD. I have learned that this period is required but many others have been able to get away with less than 24 hours, however this is another VZW gotcha. YOU DO NOT WANT ANYMORE VZW GOTCHAs.
After the 24 hour period is over the original handset (or any other applicable handset for that account) (B) can be assigned BACK to the TIERED DATA PLAN number (B)  and the iPHONE 5 can then be moved to the 4G UNLIMITED PLAN number (A).
So long as you acquired the iPHONE  5 via a separate transaction, yours or someone else's TIERED DATA PLAN (B) account, you should have had no effect on your current 4G UNLIMITED DATA PLAN (A).
I found out that without a doubt, in spite of what others have said (AT THIS TIME), this will work.
Once you are successful, you will learn that however much time you had on your 4G UNLIMITED DATA PLAN (A) account you will still have. THIS IS TRUE EVEN IF YOU HAVE CHOSEN TO PAY FULL PRICE FOR YOUR iPHONE 5 AND ADD IT TO YOUR 4G UNLIMITED DATA PLAN (A). This is in spite of any previous ** you may have been advised of during conversations or correspondence with any of the uneducated phone or store customer service personnel).
AGAIN...  YOU WILL STILL BE UNDER A PLAN THAT WAS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PREVIOUS UPGRADE NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO WITH OR TO THE 4G UNLIMITED DATA handset.
If you have a 4G UNLIMITED DATA PLAN (A) and you have any wishes of adding the HOTSPOT feature, you must do this prior to the conversion (adding the iPHONE 5). Once the iPHONE 5 has been assigned, the selection of a HOTSPOT will either not be present in your "MYVERIZON" area or greyed out for the VZW personnel and no longer selectable. The removal of this option is another impetus by VERIZON to cancel your 4G UNLIMITED DATA PLAN and move to a TIERED DATA PLAN. If you cancel your HOTSPOT feature you will NEVER GET IT BACK unless you change plans.
The VZW telephonic Customer Service Personnel may even see an UNLIMITED HOTSPOT DATA PLAN for your current service while you may/will only see a 3G 2GB version in your MYVERIZON account area. They can select this UNLIMITED HOTSPOT FEATURE. YOU CAN NOT.
The UNLIMIITED HOTSPOT feature is $30 and the 2GB HOTSPOT FEATURE is $20 per month. Since I am cancelling the service on my XOOM tablet of 3GB for $35 per month which one do you think I took?

THIS IS ALL TRUE AS OF TODAY FOR MY SITUATION, HOWEVER YMMV.
KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED THAT IT ALL WORKS OUT AS VZW PROMISED. PLEASE CHECK BACK AS I WILL UPDATE THIS THREAD IF ALLOWED.
    ==========================================================
HAS ANYONE NOTICED THAT THE ONLINE VZW Customer Service Personnel have flocked to this thread to help me out?
While in conversations or correspondence with VZW personnel DO NOT USE THE WORD "UPGRADE" in association with your 4G UNLIMITED DATA PLAN. INSTEAD, USE THE WORD "CONVERSION" WHEN TRYING THIS PROCESS. Otherwise you may cause their brains to jump track and you could lose your 4G UNLIMITED DATA PLAN.

Thanks to those of you that have attempted to respond and inform in a helpful manner. I am not a VZW hater, I hate when any company attempts to bait and switch, fails to be clear or uses tactics to confuse it's customer base to have them subscribe to services or features that have short introductory periods or the company "reserves the right to change" and does so very quickly once they have acquired the numbers they have been looking for.
I am hoping that one day I can make the statement that deceptive sales practices are UNAMERICAN.
I WOULD LIKE TELECOMMUNICATIONS COMPANIES TO  BECOME A CORNERSTONE TO THAT STATEMENT.
HOWEVER I FEEL THAT AMERICA HAS A LONG WAYS TO GO!
THANK THE PEOPLE THAT TREAT YOU RIGHT!
Lastly, I was very lucky to make contact with an extremely knowledgeable, confident, competent and well spoken VZW Customer Service Person. After her extraordinary efforts in attempting to satisfy my issues and wishes I made the effort to thank her and made sure that she would be recognized among her peers. Before we terminated the call I asked to speak to her supervisor and advise of him my satisfaction. I advised that I work for VZW's competition and it is when I meet up with people like her that I work harder to keep my customers happy and keep my customers my customers.
When you have someone that makes the extra effort to fix your issue or finds a way to give you what you thought you bought please find a way to give them kudos or recognition beyond a simple online or telephone survey or a plain old "thanks".
It was not too many years ago that many businesses thought the intangible product, customer service, as being as important as all the other tangibles they sold. This is no longer true in most respects. Some businesses are coming around but very, very slowly.
WE AS CONSUMERS MUST DEMAND GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE or it will forever be shoddy. We must demand knowledge, effort, personnel we can understand, representatives of the company that have a stake in the organization and are not just some off shore or distant contractor that may serve customers from multiple companies in the same hour.
Still... make sure you say thank you for good service. Say thank you not only to the person that gave it to you but to the corporate infrastructure as a whole. Our businesses need to stop letting the stockholders decide how long a company survives in the marketplace. Too often companies decide keep their budgets down by slashing or limiting customer service as a first strike.
Yes, we all know that price rules in many cases, BUT THE WORLD OF TECHNOLOGY REQUIRES KNOWLEDGEABLE PEOPLE to advise it's customers of their options and help them make it work like the commercials or advertisements show they would.
Even the stockholders fail to remember or choose to understand that ultimately it is the customer that signs their paychecks.

  • IPad with Cellular v with WiFi if my iphone has a personal hotspot?

Giving an iPad Air as a Christmas gift.  Do I need to pay extra for an iPad with cellular service if I have an iPhone with a personal hotspot?   If not, are there any advantages in paying the extra for the cellular v WiFi iPad?

The only advantage I can think of is if the phone contract's data plan is limited.  Then an iPad data plan would provide more MBs.  I used to have ipads with cellular available, but now that I have an iphone with a hotspot feature, and the fact that I rarely use the hotspot, I opted for wifi only ipad.

  • Ipad2 /hotspot problem after software upgrade

I can connect to my hotspot or at least it is showing that I am connected but can't download email, or access the internet. Anyone else having this problem?

    Steve,
Thank you for your input but the RAID disk set will not pose an editing issue
as read cycle time is the same as a single disk. RAID 1 does have a slight
increase in the write time, but this slight increase is also not an issue for NL
    video editing.
I followed your recommendations for managing performance of Win 7 and I
did notice a performance increase.  I have decided NOT to operate APE 8
with AVCHD clips and I am testing different AVCHD converters from
different companies.  I am currently testing converting to DV AVI format but
I do not know if that format is optimal for editing in PRE.
Another forum participant suggested that the On Board GPU may not have
sufficient performance, but I do not believe the APE uses any of the
    acceleration offered by a GPU.
I believe as you do that multi-core processing is much more significant in
performance improvement.  That is the reason I purchased a QUAD CORE
AMD processor.  Now I am wondering if the software is actually taking full
advantage of the QUAD core.  When APE loads it reports that a "multi-core
Processor is present" but the software struggles in previewing an HD
    project.
I am trying to avoid having to render sections of a project to see the
preview because rendering while editing consumes too much time and eats
    up resources.

  • Using Verizon Wi-Fi Hotspots

I need further clarification as to what the difference in using verizons client app to connect to the internet at a hotspot is as to just connecting straight to the hot spot.  Do they have additional service / routers set up that offer faster speeds and security as it transitions you into their fios network? or does it simply just connect you to the same hotspot and features I would get anyways?
Also in cases where the hotspot requires a cost or subscription and verizon wi-fi is available, does the verizon wi-fi offer you service for free? I didn't find that to be the case on a vacation earlier this year as it failed to connect me at all. I spent hours on the phone speaking to tech support and they simply came to the resolution that this location didn't have wi-fi anymore and that the list was out of date.  8 months later the location is still listed there.  I knew this was bad information and that they couldn't get me connected. I just wasn't sure if I actually had to pay the resort fee first, which brings me back to the point, what good is this service that is being labeled a benefit to their subscribers with certain plans and higher?

To my knowledge, there is no advantage to a Verizon FIOS user to log in to a WiFi Hotspot in the manner you suggest (using an alternate internal network). All Verizon is doing is letting you log onto their WiFi network for free rather than having to pay a $x/day or $xx/month charge.
I think the answer to your last question is "not much if any".

  • Using Hotspots for sending email

    Hi all.
Its been a while since i've used Dreamweaver and i'm currently using CS4.
I love the hotspots feature and has come in very usefull, but I wonder if there is a way of using this for emails, instead of the mailto:[email protected] method? Can CS4 Hotspots allow for this?
    Thanks,
    Mitch

#1  I wouldn't build my entire site around hotspots.  They're not user friendly for translators, screen readers and humans who can't detect images.  For best results, you should use text links styled with CSS.  And if you want to support desktops/lapstops & mobile devices (iPhones/iPads), look at Project Seven's Pop-Menu Magic or Adobe's Spry Menu 2.0. widget.

#2 A mailto: link assumes your visitor has email software installed on their system.  If they don't, nothing will happen.  For best cross browser results, use a contact form and a form-to-email processing script.  This has the double advantage of keeping your e-mail address away from prying eye harvesters and spam mail from stuffing your inbox.
Contact your web host and ask them which formmailer script you should use.  If they don't have one already set-up on their servers, you can use a 3rd party script in whichever programing language your server supports (PHP, ASP, Perl, ColdFusion...)  See links below:

  • Using cellular mac mini pad as Air hotspot

Is there  any way to connect the mini pod cellular to the macbook air as a hotspot via the new lightening to usb cable?

    Hi Bart,
you could use the itunes remote app to control your itunes music / videos from an iphone/ipod touch/ipad.
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/remote/
Keep in mind the itunes currently uses the remote app in a different manor to the apple tv. I don't think you could use the itunes remote app to for instance rent movies. But ones you had the movie rented you could use the remote app to trigger playing /pausing the movie. But there are some advantages, like you can get a list of videos on the computer on the iOS device.

  • Hotspot  vs  slice

Can someone tell me what is the difference between a hotspot
and a slice? What are the advantageous and disadvantageous between
    them?
Please be as detailed as possible...thank you!

I am just re leaning fireworks after many years away from it.
A hotspot is just a region that can be bound to an action, where a slice will create a modified bitmap that conforms in shape to the slice and may have an action bound to it.

  • IPad Air2 vs Jetpack recomendation as an internet hotspot

Getting ready to acquire an iPad Air 2 and am wondering if there are any advantages/disadvantages to using the iPad as an internet hotspot and ditching my Verizon Jetpack device.  We travel in our RV a substantial amount of time & currently use the Jetpack as our only internet portal both while on the road and at home...with mixed results.  My contract with Verizon is about up and I was wondering about the advisability of just using the iPad as my hotspot which would also support 2 iPhone 5's and a Macbook Pro.  Can the iPad handle that many devices comfortably or would I end up with mediocre performance for everyone?

Not possible. iPad does not have hotspot capability like the iPhone does.

  • HotSpot vs. JRockit

I'm working on a system that uses object graphs that take anywhere from 1MB to 1GB of heap space once loaded from disk. Loading is an expensive operation, so we use a soft reference based cache for these graphs.
In various tests that involve different combinations of loading, searching, manipulating, and saving these graphs, the JRockit VM runs 2 to 4 times faster than the HotSpot VM.
The tests were run on a 64-bit Windows 2003 box with 2 dual-core Intel processors and 12 GB of RAM. I tested the 64-bit Sun JRE (1.6.0_04) versus JRockit R27 on JDK 1.6.0_03 with max heap sizes varying from 1 GB up to 12 GB.
Of note, I had to tune the HotSpot garage collector settings to get avoid super long collection times.Specifically, it appeared the Parallel Collector was holding on to softly referenced graphs too aggressively, such that collection times would get slower and slower (from 1 minute up to 18 minutes) as more and more of these object graphs were loaded from disk. Eventually the collector would eject most of the softly referenced graphs. The i-CMS settings (suggested here: http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/hotspot/gc/gc_tuning_6.html#cms) avoided this issue and reduced the overall collections times (from about 20 minutes to about 2 minutes in one test).
JRockit was still over 2.5 times faster than the best HotSpot time and required no tuning.
In another sort of processing, the Parallel Collector was faster than the i-CMS. However this processing was more rare (it happens only during product upgrades), so the solution was to optimize this processing rather than switch the HotSpot settings.
Here again JRockit was still over twice as fast and required no tuning.
For various reasons we have chosen not to use JRockit, so we are very interested in hearing if there are ways to close the gap in performance between the two VMs.

You will be paging the heap, turning memory latency into disk latency. If your application has some locality in the heap, you might not notice the increase in latency in your application. But the garbage collector (particularly the parallel garbage collector) won't have the advantage of traversing your data structures in the ways you expect, and so is likely to end up paging for many memory references. That's a disaster.
JRockit was still over 2.5 times faster than the best HotSpot time and required no tuning.Do you know if the performance improvement for JRockit was in the application run times, or decreased garbage collection, or faster garbage collections, or due to not clearing SoftReferences and so not needing to rebuild your huge data structures? GC logs might contain at least part of the answer. Execution profiles would be another part of the analysis. (20 minute collection times for a 12GB heap is an indication that you were paging.)
In another sort of processing, the Parallel Collector was faster than the i-CMS. However this processing was more rare (it happens only during product upgrades), so the solution was to optimize this processing rather than switch the HotSpot settings. In general, the parallel collector has higher throughput (collection speed, and to a certain extent allocation speed) than the concurrent collector. But, the concurrent collector has lower latencies. That's why we offer both of them.
Here again JRockit was still over twice as fast and required no tuning.
For various reasons we have chosen not to use JRockit, so we are very interested in hearing if there are ways to close the gap in performance between the two VMs.(I'd be interested in hearing about why you chose not to use JRockit. Hmm, probably so would the JRockit folks. :-)
There are flags to control the aggressiveness of the clearing of SoftReferences in the HotSpot VM. If we knew that were the problem, I could offer you some tuning advice. If that isn't the problem, though, I don't want to suggest that you change from the defaults.
Please post whatever GC logs or profile data you have and we'll see what we can suggest.

iPhone 6 running latest iOS version.
Personal Hotspot is turned off on my iPhone. My iPad can see its Personal Hotspot as available to connect to.
I tap the entry for the iPhone Personal Hotspot, the iPad connects to it ... even though it is not turned on.
My iPhone confirms this by the telltale blue strip appearing at the top of the screen indicating someone has connected to the phone ...
I check the Personal Hotspot section within iOS and sure enough it has turned itself on.
I turn off the Personal Hotspot again ...
The iPad then shows an alert to indicate its connection has been terminated.
But shortly after, the iPhone Personal Hotspot (which I turned OFF) entry appears in the wireless connection list on the iPad and I can tell it to connect again. I click the entry, and the iPad connects again via Personal Hotspot to my iPhone.
I Have told he iPad to 'forget this device' and it still connects with no issues whatsoever ...
Also, the iPad is able to connect to my iPhone without giving the password that I have set up!!
    HELP!
This is a security problem surely?

I was having the same issue after updating iOS in both devices, iPad Air and iPhone 5s my iPad could see my iphone hotspot even tho it was shut off. After reading everyone's reply all I'd did was sign out of iCloud on the iPad and no more issues.
The problem with this solution is you lose all of the benefits of being in the iCloud connection space, which are many and getting to be even more.
The reported problem is that you see a hotspot connection available on your iCloud devices.  No one else sees it and it really isn't live until you connect to it.  In the old days (before this release) only advanced users could take advantage of a Hotspot.  Now they have done away with the concept and your devices can see each other and if you need a wifi connection for one through another's LTE you can do it automatically by just selecting it from the receiving device.
Bottomline, now the fact that you can see a potential hotspot connection with one your devices (and no one else can see it) doesn't seem to be a problem to me.  Once I got used to see it in the bottom part of the list (the not yet active part), I like it.  It's easier to start up a hotspot and is only confusing to those of us who used to go through all of he steps previously.  New users to iOS don't even have to know what a hotspot is and they can connect their devices.  That's why they switched.

  • In the previous version i was able to close my mozilla and to open it again, the web pages which i was working with remained however i've tried many ways to have this advantage again but it is not working what can i do ???

in the previous Mozilla version i used to leave some web sites opened and when i start working again my Mozilla showed the web pages i was working with in that occasion, i have looked in the options menu but there is no way, perhaps it was an add-on and now it is removed??? i would like to have this advantage again in my Mozilla could it be possible?? thx!

Your webpages/tabs are still there. When you start firefox again, there is a "Restore Previous Session" icon below. If you click that, it will open up all your tabs again.
