How to retain search values after submit in a result table

Hi, i have search page with a autoCustomizationCriteria query region.
In a simple search panel there are three messageChoise search items.
When the search is performed a result table is displayed together with a cancel and a submit button.
After submitting the changes in the result table a dialogpage is displayed and then returning to the search page.
The mesageChoise values in the search region are now all reset to default.
How can i retain the search values so that i can requery the page showing the updated values of the resulttable?

Actually after pressing the start button in the query region and the data is shown in the result table, the following can be seen in the URL of the browser:
192.168.1.151:8988/OA_HTML/OA.jsp?page=/xxx/oracle/apps/xx/xx100/apps/webui/SearchPG&searchType=search&fwkSTSearchrPG__QueryRN=search&_ti=1151125721&retainAM=N&addBreadCrumb=N&oapc=10
So even before i submit the changes in the result table AM seems to be lost, but I'm not sure where the retainAM=N is initiated and where to override it. Any help would be appreciated.

No, that could not have been placed there by visiting a website.
You may have installed wireshark or some other packet-capturing software.

Pages 5.1 deletes "objects" in table cells. Is there any way to prevent this?

I have been using Pages 4.3 and updated to Maverick; downloaded Pages 5.1, and now when I want to open previous documents the pages app doesn't support certain functions. For example I had a table of images and information related to them, and it is removing the images from the table when it opens the documents. I still have 4.3, and as a work around I am able to open documents in it, but moving forward, I will want to use the new software. Any thoughts or options here?

Pages 5 has over 90+ features removed.
If you wish to "move forward" that is what it is.
Keep in mind that Apple trashed all the old file formats. Without notice. Making it difficult or impossible to reopen your previous work. They will do it again, as they have in the past.
"Moving forward" is probably best with some other software.

ADF search page example in 11g version

As we switched to new JDeveloper none of our applications work anymore which is fairly frustrating as we spent months if not years to develop them I guess the major change is incopatibility of ADF 10g with Trinidad. Anyways, we are now looking for basic examples to speed-up learning curve:
1. Search page? With form and result table, all on the same page. Our current search page when migrated simply never returns any results. No error is displayed and we are sure query actually got executed
2. Seems that <tr:messages id="ms"/> component does not displays any messages thrown by the framework
We used something like this:

Issue with File Download(messageDownload) on Search Page.

I created a custom OAF search page which fetches values from one table. The document in getting stored in my custom table in a BLOB colums and NOT in FND_LOBS.
The table has 3 collumns along with others:
1st is primary key (Record_Seq) ==> number data type
2nd to store actual file name (File1Name) ==> varcahar2 data type
3rd to store the actual uploaded data (File1Data) ==> BLOB data type
The reason for having the “File1Name” is so that I can display the original file name of the document that was uploaded, instead of just the “view” in the search page results .
On the File1Data BLOB and created a messageDownload for that under query results table with following details:
ID : File1Data
ItemStyle : messageDownload
FileMIME Type : pdf
Datatype : BLOB
View Instance : LacEmpExposureVO1
view Attribute : File1Name
File View Attribute : File1Data
When I click on the "File1Name" data hyperlink, it is opening only the first document corresponding to the first record in the search page results.
For example, If my search page returns 10 rows then when I click on the file1name on any row, It is open the first row file name only.
I have a primary key column(RECORD_SEQ) in the Table / EO / VO which is displayed in the search page results.
Also one weird thing is happening:
If I try to do this more than 2 times then it is opening the update page with the first record from the search page results…
I tried to print the context and it is nul the first time, But the second time then context is changing to "update". Dont know how this is happening????
Any advice is greatly appreciated as it is very crucial for me to get this resolved ASAP. I have looked at several forums and did a lot of things as advised in the forums . But nothing seems to work for me.

I need to develop a page where in the errored records from some table will be displayed. This page will basically be used as Error UI for error handling and resolving those cases.This is basically for compensation data errors .. so the user should be able to process the errored records after seeing the error.
I am basically taking the approach of search page as there are different criteria the user shud be able to filter these records by ...
Now I need to have some search options in the search page ..have following requirements : Could anyone pls help m on these ..
1. want to create a dropdown/poplist for one of the items
2. there ll be a comments column in the results table which should be updatable by the user .. i shud be able to store that comments back in th table ..

My recommendation would be as follows:
1. Using a PLSQL API, pass all the Error data into a Custom Table.
2. Use this custom table to fetch data on the page.
3. If you know the Error types, create a lookup type for the Error and create multiple lookup codes for each Error type. You can write a query for the poplist and have it in the Search criteria. No issues.
4. If there is some other table which needs to be updated, invoke the PLSQL API to do so on click of some button on the page.
Do let me know in case the suggestions dont help.

How to Automate the Query Search Upon Return to the Calling Form?

Could you please share with me how to make the Query Search executed automatically each time, when database table is updated, upon return to the “Calling Form” (i.e. FormA in this posting) from the “Called Form” (i.e. FormB from here on)?
I have FormA call_form to FormB. FormB may return to FormA. FormA allows users to enter the Query parameters and perform query Search to the database table with a list of search results afterward; whereas FormB allows users to add or delete the same database table records. Both form images are as follows:

FormA call_form to FormB by clicking PB “Daily Work Report” (see circled PB "Daily Work Report" in the above image.)

If you have programming code on this and are willing to share or if you have any suggestion or thoughts on this, it would be most greatly appreciated.

SharePoint Enterprise Search site is stored in SharePoint Content database associated with the web application which hosts enterprise search site, if you want to resoter the search configuration and search pages(may have customized the search web part
page), you can try to firstly test the restore of particular content database and search administrator database.

I am using Jdev 11.1.1.6
Someone please let me know how to implement dependency between the search criteria in a search page.
i have found few articles for implementing the same in forms.
i am trying to implement dependencies between search criteria's. i will be using two serach criteria's as lov's in Search page(Using search panel) not in simple forms.
the second criteria lov should be listing all the results based on the firstr search criteria.
someone pls let me know how too implement this.

Problem in displaying update page when multiple results table regions.....

In Search page, I have 4 Search result table regions.(1.PropertyResultsTable,2.HouseDetailResultsTable,3.WaterDetailsResultsTable,4.ElectricityResultsTable)
In PropertyResultsTable Search result table region when I click the update Icon its showing the Last table region's(i.e ElectricityResultsTable) update page.
Same thing happening for 2.HouseDetailResultsTable,3.WaterDetailsResultsTable also.
If my search page contain only one result table region I can able to update the record successfully.
How to get the correct update page if there is more than one results table and each table has the update icon to update the respective record.
Please suggest.

How to add Column field in the custom Query Link search page as a header

Hi,
I have created a Query page link in web layout editor. Now, I want to customise the view of the result. I see an option to change the "Text1" and "text2", but how do I add other fields as a colum in the search result ?
The only column I see by default Id, Title, release date and author. I want to see some of the custom metadata in the search result. I don't wan't to apply user specific custom search page.
Overall, I want a common search view across all the user such that each user doesn't have to create a custom search view.

By adding context node, you will not be able to fetch value. To fetch value in BTSubject, you need to have following nodes in your context node.
Node Relation Higher level node

BTBOSSet BTHeaderBOSSet BTAdminH
BTSubjectSet BTSubjectSet_A BTBOSSet
BTSubject BTSubjectAll BTSubjectSet_A
Right now you dont have BTBOSSet and BTSubjectSet in your view. That is why component is unable to pull data in BTSubject.
My suggestion would be to create cuco with above nodes
Bind BTAdminH with BTAdminH of Component controller
and bind BTSubject of details view with BTSubject of your Cuco.
If you want code code gp catalog as it comes in complaint then there is seperate procedure for that.

The select query will not be based on Table.Its based on functions.

i tried it on my machine....there's a little change on the approach.
See we have a View Object : XxAccrualsSummaryVO
the query is
select xx_test_accruals(to_date(:1,'YYYY-MM-DD')) ACCRUAL,to_date(:2,'YYYY-MM-DD') DT from dual
Create a Property View Object : say DateTestPVO and in that create a Transient Attribute of DATE type say InputDate. How to create property View Object(read in dev guide).
Bind the date text input to DateTestPVO and InputDate Attribute.
Now as the page loads in process request initialise the PVO not XxAccrualsSummaryVO.

This is not only on Ebay it is everywhere I search. Firefox goes back to the top of the page . It is annoying to have to figure out exactly where I was if I left the page and then returned. This is a hinderance when using Firefox. I have considered uninstalling it because of the inconvenience of 're-searching' after already doing a search. Firefox used to take me right back to where I was if I left a page, but that feature is not working now. I am not sure how to change this in the settings.

Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

My requirement is In service order Search page,In Service Order Search criteria, In Status value drop down i have to show only user status values only? how to do it..now in my status drop down values system status values also displayed ,i want only user status values only i have to show...how to do it?

As Standard there are 2 separate search fields for Status.
One for User Status
One for System Status
Are you sure that the other Status value you require are not for other Service Transactions different to the one you are wanting to search on?
If you need to make a only the User Status for a given selected Transaction Type, then you would need to make an enhancement to that Component
