After downloading the update ios7 my moms phone has been locked with a four digit security code that she didn't have before the update. So she is locked out of her phone. How do I get rid of the four digit code

Yep. Same here. There's a NEW feature in iOS7 for Find my iPhone. It requires a passcode. My wife never had a passcode and doesn't have her computer to restore the backup.
Spent an hour on the phone with customer service last night trying to restore the phone to factory settings but it didn't allow us access.
Right now we have a 9-month old brick sitting on the table.
Who in their right mind decided to release this feature that requires a passcode without checking first to see if the user has a passcode?
I was not really polite to the support staff last night on the call but the person was very professional. Kudos to how he handled my call but this is just stupid. So Microsoft-like, so un-Apple-like.
This feature with this iOS rollout is a big failure and my wife, who didn't want an iPhone until she got (and loved it) but is now out looking for an Android device. Apple has lost a customer that they had only recently won over.

iOS 7 allows you to have your apps update automatically. Therefore, the list of what has been updated stays so that you can see what was updated, when and what the release notes say. It has been suggested that they list has a limit, much like Recents. Currently, there is no way for the user to delete the entries manually. Just try not to look at them.

I updated Firefox, and after I restarted it, when I opened a new tab, I found that I now had two Google search bars: one next to where you type web addresses, and one right above my pinned sites (or my frequently visited sites). I'm just trying to:
1. Figure out why it is necessary to have two of the pretty much identically useful search bars when I really only need one (or can physically type Google in)
and
2. How do I get rid of the unnecessary second Google search bar above my frequently visited and therefore pinned sites.
If you have any ideas of how to remove this annoying addition, I would appreciate it.I am guessing that you installed an extension, related to "new tab", which added the first search bar. Firefox 31 in includes a search bar for the "new tab" page; so now you have two.
Take a look at that extension (Options or Preferences) to see how to disable ones of those 2 search bars. Or see if an update has been released for that extension, specifically for Firefox 31, with an option to disable the search bar. -

How do you get rid of the pending update from app store updates screen?
I own an 64GB iPad 2+3G. The App Store icon has a red circle with a number 3 in it. That means I have 3 updates pending.
I tried to download the updates to Pandora and Kindle using 3G at first. It did not work. I assumed it was because it was over 20 MB.
(I did not try the Vegas Towers one.) I went to the library and it still would not download via their wifi.
The description of the updates mention the retina display of the new iPad (3). Is that the cause of the download problem? I have already downloaded the iOS 5.1 at the library. Well, it is not that big a deal for me if I don't get the updates. But how do I get rid of the pending updates? How do I get rid of that little red circle? Also, I have not been able to use the Pandora or Kindle apps. They just keep saying waiting. I got boxes that said download failed and offering choice of done or retry. Since nothing happens, I chose done. So, I cannot update my apps, and in the meantime I cannot use the apps because the downloads stalled. I would like to abort the downloads and get rid of the updates from the update screen. I want to be able to use the apps again. Can anyone provide a solution? Thanks!Hi Panamark,
The problem has been resolved for me. I am a little fuzzy on how it got fixed.
I only have 3G, so I think I went to the library to use wi-fi.
I think I just deleted the stuck apps, and the downloaded them again. You do not have to pay again when you download a previously purchased app.
It is now August, and fortunately I have not had any stuck apps lately.
As you may already know, you cannot download an app over 20 MB via 3G.
I have the Kindle app also. No new updates lately. I only bought one thing using Kindle. It was a guide to iPad that was only $1.99 or so, but it did not really have anything that cannot be found in normal free Apple guide.
I have borrowed an ebook from the library using Overdrive app. You can choose the ebook version from Kindle.
I don't have any weather apps.

If you did that already and looked at your recent calls and the red dot doesn't disappear then try rebooting the phone. Hold down the Sleep and the Home buttons until the Apple logo displays on the screen.
