After failed attempt at updating my Iphone4, the phone now says its connected to Itunes but isn't. Rebooting doesn't work either. Help!
I tried updating my IPhone 4 this morning to 4.3.3. It gave me an unknown error and now the phone won't disconnect from Itunes and rebooting it did not solve the problem. I've researched and cannot find a solution. I've tried plugging it back into Itunes and nothing happens.

I have a feeling Apple Servers have been hacked or something.
Call Apple Support and tell them the problem. They will most likely tell you there is something wrong with your phone but tell them to look at the Community Support Forums and to FIX the problem.

No, I'm sorry. If you're seeing that Connect to iTunes screen that means the phone is in recovery mode and needs to be restored.
If you can't borrow a friend's computer, you can go to the Apple Store and they will restore it for you. -
my phone is disabled because the language got changed and I kept trying to unlock it. It tells me to connect to itunes but then itunes tells me that I have to insert the password on my iphone before proceeding. I am unable to type in the password. Help!!

Ok, I found a solution that worked for me when trying to connect to the iTunes store by tapping the "update" button in the "App Store" app on my iPad 2. Before the solution was implemented I'd always get the error message "cannot connect to iTunes store". Once the solution was implemented I now can connect to iTunes using the "update" button in the "App Store" app and I get the normal message "All apps are up to date". The solution is this: go into Settings, then General, then scroll to the bottom where it says Date and Time. Tap Date and Time and then turn OFF Set Automatically. When you do that a new option will be added that says Set Date and Time. Tap it. You'll now get a drop down feature. Set the Date AHEAD 2 YEARS. The Time you can leave alone.
Once you do that you might get a bunch of reminders and messages that your apps and stuff haven't been updated in two years. Click cancel or close on each of those messages or reminders. Now go back into Settings, General, Date and Time, and turn Set Automatically back to ON. Reboot your iPad. Open the App Store app again and go to the Update button. It might ask you to log back in to your iTunes account. It should now work. If not, close the App Store app completely and open again and try the update button. Hope this helps. -

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. From your statements above, it sounds like you never tried to burn a CD for at least the first year that you owned the laptop, as it had a one year warranty on it. While you might have used it frequently to install software, play DVDs, Blu-Ray disks, etc, that's unclear from your statements. Nonetheless, it might just be dirty-dusty. So, before deleting-uninstalling any software, and given they're cheap, try a CD-DVD Cleaner Disk first and see if that resolves your problems.

it seems to pick up South Africa and the UK - in fact I have set up an alternative UK apple ID so I suppose it sees my ipad, checks my "accounts" and constructs the note accordingly? Weird.
It would have been REALLY helpful to have a clear indication of content availability when setting up the South African account. I have found the several places where the experts explain how to work around this problem with fake US addresses and voucher payments. I don't want to do that.
I have to say that my limited experience with iTunes and Apple over three years (previously on PC/Windows) is way below what I would expect from Apple inc ... this incident must have wasted four hours of my life ... -
