After I repair permissions via Disk Utility, my HP1012 doesn't work. I get a message that permissions have to be repaired and do I want to do so. Yes, then it works again.

I'm not sure of the value of this, but it won't take long to try and might help. Have you tried repairing disk permissions whilst booted from the Recovery HD rather than whilst you are normally booted.
Restart holding down Command + r and from the screen with four choices select Disk Utility. Choose it and repair disk permissions. Restart as normal from the Apple menu and test.
If that doesn't help, try once again resetting the printing system, but before adding the printer back in go to Macintosh HD>Library>Printers and move the HP folder to the desktop. Log out and back in again (or restart) and try to set up the printer afresh. Hopefully this will initiate a fresh install of the software. If this solves it you can trash the HP folder on your desktop.

What URL do you have bookmarked as your home page? You might want to look at the Knowledge Base article [[How to set the home page]]. There are steps in there to restore the home page to default. I would try that first to see if it clears up any strangeness. If that works, you can set the home page to anything you like.

You have a bit of a mess on your hands, but you can try doing this:
Download the iOS 6 update (ipsw) file to your computer from here: http://osxdaily.com/2012/09/19/ios-6-ipsw-direct-download-links/, being careful to download the version for your model.
Put your phone in DFU mode, as explained here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2648467?threadID=2648467&tstart=0
Restore you phone in iTunes using the ipsw file you downloaded in step 1, as described here: http://osxdaily.com/2010/11/23/how-to-use-ipsw-files/.
If you get a 1014, 1013, 1638 or 3194 error, you access to Apple's servers is being blocked by your Hosts file. You'll have to edit your Hosts file to remove this block, then try restoring again. You can use Google to find out how to do this.

Everytime I open Photoshop Elements V13 I get the message that an update to V13.1 and Camera Raw 8.7.1 is available. However when clicking on update now or after exiting it never updates. Also there is no updates shown for V13 on the website.

Is this a false message, or is there an update available? If so How do I update my version?

It is not a false message, those updates are available. (I have overlaid the camera raw info here)
If you load the editor, when you get told about the updates, and you click on Update, it may take a moment to get going.
If you are on a Windows system, you may find that there is a User Access Control request icon flashing on your taskbar. I'm not sure about MAC systems.

I'm a new Mac user, and I've undoubtedly deleted or moved files to incorrect places.
I can run DU and verify my disk, which appears to be okay, but when I choose the Verify Permissions tab, I get the message that permissions validation failed because "there are "no valid packages." After 23 years of PC use, I can't fathom this arcane message.
Can anyone help?

You probably haven't, unless you've been in the system files on the hard drive.
Are you trying to repair permissions because something is wrong? or just as regular maintenance?
If you've selected the Hard Drive from the panel on the left - and it's the correct Hard Drive rather than a partition it should repair.
You could try starting up from your install DVD1. As soon as you get to a menu at the top - go to utilities and run Disk Utility from there and see if you can repair.
No valid packages would indicate no OSX on the drive.

It sounds like the cellular data will not activate for some reason on the iPad.
I found this article that will help you resolve this issue here, named iPad (Wi-Fi + Cellular Models): Troubleshooting a cellular data connection, found here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4249
Check for a carrier settings update.
Update your iPad.
Toggle the Cellular Data setting off and on under Settings > Cellular Data.
Restart your iPad.
Tap Settings > General > About. Locate the Carrier entry and make sure that your carrier is correct.
If your SIM card has SIM PIN enabled, try turning it off: Tap Settings > Cellular Data > SIM PIN.
Make sure you're in an area of good coverage. If the cellular data connection works in another area, contact your carrier to report the original affected area.
Reset network settings: Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Restore the iPad as new.
If none of the above steps resolves the issue, make an appointment at an Apple Retail Store, contact your carrier, or contact AppleCare to troubleshoot further.
I know you may have done one or two of the steps here, so you can skip those.

I get a message that tells me when I try to connect my Ipad 1 to the computer, that I have to download a newer version. The version on the computer is deleted twice, and a new version is downloaded, but it still doesn`t work. What to do?

Is there anybody out there who can tell me what I`m doing wrong? I`ve just bought this Ipad1, mostly for the kids to play with, but I still want it to work properly.
I first got the message that apple mobile device wasn`t activated. I did activate, and now I get the message that I have to download a never version of iTunes. The version on the computer is the newest, but what`s on my Ipad? No clue. But it`s updatet to the newest IOS 5, so i guess iTunes is updated too?? Or?
Anything I can do to fix this? It`s pretty annoying if I can say so...!

There's a couple of ways to get through to the authorisation controls in the 11.0.x versions.
The control is still in the Store menu, but first (if you're using iTunes versions 11.0.x) you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the Store menu.
If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:
Then you'll find the control in the Store menu:
Alternatively, if you don't want to bring up the menu bar, it's still possible to get into the authorise controls via nested menus accessible from the wee boxy icon. Here's a screenshot of where to find them:
