Bluetooth not working iMac and Samsung phone
I tried connecting my wife's samsung phone with iMac throught bluetooth.
They are paired, but when I tried to use the function "browse device" or something like that on iMac so that I can transfer files from Samsung phone to iMac, the connection keep dropping after 1 second.
When I tried going to the phone and choose a file to send over to iMac, it works. After sending the file, the connection "disconnect" again.
How to solve this problem?

WRT54GS ver 6 and samsung phone problems
hey,
at my house we've used this and a wireless g adapter and it's worked awesome.
but
i've just recieved my new phone it's pretty much brand new, it's a samsung (if that helps).
when i try to connect my phone to the wireless network it spends ages connecting and then instantaneously disconnects.
i think it's not my phones as i have connected to my gf's network fine. also her phone (same phone) connects at hers but not at mine.
any ideas why i can't connect???now i done it. lol don't worry.

Airport and Digital Phone through Cable Company
I am trying to install Airport base extreme and my macs pick up the signal, but my internet connection fails. I ask my isp for help and they direct me to mac. I noticed in the user guide that it says that should not connect airport to cable modem that is also a digital phone. Anyone know why? Or how to correct this problem?

Let's start with Isp's will try to give the song and dance that they do not support MAC. (BUNK) The technology is exactly the same for PC or MAC.
Who is you service with?
They will furnish you with a MODEM.
You read the booklet that came with your Airport Extreme Base. It tells you to run an Ethernet Cable from your ISP's Modem to the WAN Port on the Airport Extreme Base.
Thats the port with the circle of dots. The other port the one with the 2 arrows pointing away from one another is the LAN port for a hardwired computer. Several users opt to plug into the LAN port and then use the Airport Setup Assistant and the the Airport Admin Utility to do the initial setup. Be sure you go to your Blue Apple upper left anfd then choose system preferences and then choose NETWORK. When this opens you have 3 choices Airport is for wireless, it must be highlighted with the green dot and drag it to the top of the list. Your other 2 options are Ethernet and Internal Modem for Dial-up.
Read the Booklet and take your time.
You may have to do a system reset, often just plugging in the ethernet cable is not enough to get up and running.
Make sure your network connection settings in Network are correct.
Pull the Power Adapter from the back of your ISP'S Modem and then do the same with the Airport Extreme Base and shut your computers OFF.
Wait 5 minutes and then in order.
1st Plug in the Power Adapter to your ISP's MODEM.
You must wait for it to establish the connection. (Normally 1 minute).
Next plug in the Power Adapter to the Airport Extreme Base. (ROUTER) Again you must wait the minute to acquire the signal. Now you can restart your computers.
Remember if you are going to be wireless your computers must be set in the network to wireless, by clciking the Airport Icon in the settings.

...but you're correct in saying that they're not generally available. You have to know where to find them. Evidently, you don't...and obviously I didn't either, or I wouldn't have asked. But I think I know how to find out where they are now.

Help! I synced my iCal from my old iPhone to iCloud. It worked great. I've done this because I'm switching to a Samsung phone and need to sync my iCal to my Google calendar. In attempting to do so today, my iCal is empty. How can I retrieve my iCal info??
This was EXACTLY what I needed about the purchases I made from my device. However, is there a way to re-download other ones you've made from a computer? Because I realized some of them were not just purchased from my device.

Hi.. My internet and wifi are working on samsung phone and hp laptop but its not getting connected to iphone ipad, only skype is coming online rest all apps and safari show no internet connection. Got new linksys router WRT160NL , but situation same. Tried reboot, renew lease, forget network, reset network setting. Pls advice
Have you tried a simple reset of your iPod to see if that helps? To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
Otherwise, have you tried any of the troubleshooting mentioned in this Apple support document?

I have a new Samsung phone and I live in CT. Last month they charged me $38 on my bill for the sales tax for the new phone which was $600. I'm paying for the phone itself over 20 installments of $30 each. Now again I'm getting that same $38 charge. I can't believe that the monthly CT tax is higher than the payment for the phone itself. Does this make sense. Last time I spoke with them on the phone it was for 1 1/4 hours for something simple. I don't want to call unless I need to. The salesman told me nothing about any of this. Thank you for any help you can offer.
The bill from last month states:

The current bill says the same.
Actually, now I'm realizing that last month's bill stated I was making the first payment toward the phone. Now this month also says it's the first payment toward the phone when it's really the second. -
I updated my 4s to ios7 and the phone is now completly dead. I tried to restore it with the new itunes but it won't restore. If you can't get the download be glad! Anyone have any ideas other than going out and buying a new Samsung phone? I don't really need a paper weight.
No not jailbroken. After the update which took about 45 minutes. The phone went black. Dead. Wouldn't restart. Using the new itunes I tried to restore it. It went through the motions; the white Apple and progress bar appeared on the iphone screen. Then I got a message "Itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode. You must restore this iphone before it can be used with itunes." Then the phone went completly dead again. I Repeated the process and got the same results. Is there another way to restore the phone if it's dead, besides itunes?

Thanks, Flex harUI, for the direction in regards to isolating build changes. That aside (still working on it), can you offer any direction in regards to my original question on SDK and AIR compatibility? I'm specifically looking for a version compatibility mapping or anything that definitively states, "Flex SDK x.y.z works with the following versions of AIR". This information is crucial for us in order to more specifically plan our own roadmap built upon these two frameworks as we consider both existing installations of our software and future distributions.

I just transferred to an iphone from a samsung. At the store they loaded my pictures and files from the phone to a micro SD card. I have a micro reader that I used in USB port. Question? How do I retrieve my pic stitch photos that were stored in my samsung phone? Shouldn't they be on the micro SD card?
Do you mean that the store transferred the photos from the iPhone? If so, how did they accomplish this? An iPhone won't store photos directly on an SD card, so it depends on how the store made the transfer. Normally you would just insert the card in the reader and it would mount in Finder on the Mac and you'd just drag the photos to the hard drive, but the format of the card may be wrong.
If you're referring to a card from the Samsung, then it will probably depend on the model of phone you have. If you'll post back with that, someone can probably offer suggestions.

You can try changing the password for the Apple ID you were using for iMessage on your iPhone by going to https://iforgot.apple.com. If that doesn't help, you'll have to contact Apple support for assistance: http://www.apple.com/support/contact/.

Don't know if this is the right forum.
Taked to tech support IMAC and APPLE TV.
Must have been a bad day for support. I asked her if Samsung and Imac had any support issues ( I am trying to build a new Home Theater.) She just kept asking me questions that put me into a corner each time I asked if I should buy a Samsung BD- C7500 DVD player to play with my IMAC 27" and Apple TV, and she would not give me a straight answer......

I suspect this is a fantastic, five star blu-ray player if you're a PC user but from my perspective as a Macintosh user I just wasted a couple hours of time that I'll never get back.
If I'd googled BD-C6500, Macintosh and Airport I could have saved my self a ton of frustration and time by ordering something else. Sure, you can spend some time figuring out a hack to make this thing work if you really have to, but I don't have to. There are other products out there that don't treat Mac users like red headed step-children.
Before I go any further let me say that as usual Amazon was fantastic when it came to the ordering process, the price, the packaging and delivery were just what you'd expect from Amazon, not to mention the ease of returns. That's why I buy from Amazon!
The initial set up went swimmingly until I came to the WiFi network hookup. Let me say first that I have a very strong WiFi network in my house using the ever reliable Apple Airport Extreme. In addition I have a wireless Cannon printer that set up on the first try so I'm no stranger to non-Apple wireless devices. When I got to the WiFi set up on the Samsung I hit a dead end. It was Friday night and Samsung customer support is a Monday through Friday business hour operation. That in it self is weak, they do have 24/7 online chat and I used that much to my frustration. The online chat is slow, I think the person on the other end must have had multiple chats going based on the response time to each of my entries.
The first Macintosh roadblock came when tech support wanted me to upgrade the firmware, since I could not connect to Samsung via the blu-ray player I needed to download a 67 MB file onto a USB flash drive, no problem I had the drive and I have a fast internet connection. Turns out I needed to format the USB device in Windows. O.K. so I've got an Intel Mac and a copy of Windows XP. I just fired up my trusty VMware fusion and took care of that little problem. At this point I was getting the idea that Samsung was not Mac friendly. Upgrading the firmware did not help and the support person on the chat could only tell me to phone back on Monday.
The Samsung has a feature called PC Share, allows you to stream from your computer to the blu-ray player. That was one of the reasons I choose this model - guess what? You've got to use Windows to utilize this feature. That sealed the deal for me, as soon as I finish this review I'm packing up the Samsung and shipping it back to Amazon. Combined with the lack of proper customer support, the anti-Macintosh attitude of Samsung and the warnings that I probably would not be able to play Avatar on this machine I've had enough.
*Here's an update a couple of hours later. I packed up the Samsung and sent ti back to Amazon, the did some more research and purchased an LG BD570. I will be out of town for a while so went to Best Buy and picked it up. Literally 15 minutes after walking in the front door the unit was linked to my WiFi network, five minutes later I was listening to Pandora Radio and a couple minutes later installed the latest firmware via the WiFi. Lesson learned, if you've got a Macintosh avoid Samsung.
Still don't have a definitive answer but maybe I'll get there.Welcome to Apple Discussions!
