ALE Error For GLMAST
While processing inbound IDoc's for GLMAST, we get the following error:
Message No. FH 511 - The data contains error, you cannot save.
It has error ststus 51 - Application document not posted.
We are on my SAP ERP 2004
Any help !!
Hi Shelina,
Yes ... all the checking logics are inside the include program.
Is this production issue?
If it is, the best way is to simulate in QA using <b>WE19</b> - Test tool for IDoc processing. Populate all segments and process via the function module but with debug mode on.
In this case, you will be able to step through the code and find out exactly what is causing error status 51.
You can place break point at the include program LGL_ACCOUNT_MASTERFX2 as mentioned earlier.
If you are not familiar with debugging process, perhaps you can work with ABAPer.
Again, hope this will help.

ALE configuration for Outbound Idoc - Help me
Hi Experts,
I am newbee in SAP and XI. I was trying to send MATMAS Idoc from R3 and i was running into some issues. So i would appreciate if someone can help me.
I am using following link as reference. /people/swaroopa.vishwanath/blog/2007/01/22/ale-configuration-for-pushing-idocs-from-sap-to-xi
I did all the steps mentioned in the above link ( Creating Logical Systems, Assigning Client and RFC destnations, Creating distribution models ..... etc)
and then everything went well and i saw success messags in all the steps.
I used BD10 to send material and it went well. But when i check TRFC queue, i see some error messages; "<i><b>No service for system SAPRDI, client 800 in Integrion Directory</b></i>"
And all the messages are hanging in the TRFC queue.
Note: I havent configured anything in XI yet. I wanted to make sure IDoc gets to XI client first.
Thank you in advance. Pls help me its very urgent.
Thanks,
SuryaI created RFC destination (SM59) and Port (IDX1)
Then i sent another material (BD10) and checked tRFC queue. i found bunch of error in the Queue.
<b>1.connection to host 10.4.23.120, service sapgw00 timed out / CPI-C error C
No service for system SAPRDI, client 800 in Integration Directory
partner not reached (host 10.16.176.29, service sapgw00) / CPI-C error CM
connection to host 10.16.136.127, service sapgw58 timed out / CPI-C error</b>
Note: i have noticed entries for R3 in SLD as below
System Name: <b>RDI </b> ( not <b>SAPRDI</b> as mentioned in the error message)
System Home: r3ides
That might be reason. If so, how to change it in R3 box? Any suggestions?
Please send me if you guys have any links or docs to address this issue.
Thanks,

About ale error handling in workflow?
Hi,
can any one explian in detail ale error handling through workflow, its urgent for me.
Regards,
phaniHi Srikanth,
follw the steps it will helpful u,
Pre-requisites.
It is assumed that the reader of this article has some knowledge in SAP workflow BOR objects and ALE Idoc process like process code, Partner Profile etc.
Description
Here, we will be discussing in details the Error handling of an Inbound Idoc through triggering an event, which in turn will be triggering a workflow attached to the workflow.
Steps:-
1. Create custom BOR object with the events, Start and Stop event
2. Create a workflow for the error handling, like generating a notification whenever an error occurred in the Inbound Idoc.
3. Creation of Function Module and attachment with the Process Code
4. Create the settings for the Inbound Process of the Idoc through the Process Code.
Creation of BOR objects. Go to the[http://www.****************/Tutorials/ALE/ErrorHandling/page3.htm] transaction SWO1.
Enter a name for the Object type and click CREATE button for creating the custom BOR object.
Enter the details required for creating the BOR objects...
Create the Key fields and events of the BOR object.
For creating the Key fields place the cursor on the Key fields and Click on the Create Button
Create events for triggering the workflow and stopping the workflow.
For creating the event place the cursor on the EVENTS and Click the create button like Key fields.
Create two events.
Enter the event name description etc and proceed further to create it.
Similarly create another event for ending the Workflow in the similar manner like that created earlier.
Now, Generate the BOR object through the generate button
Release the EVENTS and subsequently release the BOR object.
After the creation of BOR object
Create a workflow for the generation of notification whenever an error is reached in the Inbound Idoc.
Execute the transaction SWDD.
Click on the CREATE button for creating the workflow for error handling.
Choose the Step type to be inserted for the notification like here we are using Send Mail option for sending a mail to the user whenever any error occurred.
Activate the Workflow and test it whether it is working as per the requirement.
After the successful completion it is required to attach the workflow with the event.
Go to the Header section (Denoted by CAP).
Go to the Start Events TAB.
Enter the details of the event with which the workflow should be linked like the category, BOR object type and the event with which that should be linked.
Enter here the BOR object that has been created and give the name of event created for starting the workflow.
Click on the Binding Button for generating the binding between the event and the workflow.
Click on the Binding Button for generating the binding between the event and the workflow.
Generate the binding and click OK button to save the binding.
Click on Activate / deactivate button for activating the linkage.
After the successful linkage the following sign will appear on the workflow.....
This shows that the workflow has been linked to the event and it will be triggered whenever that particular event will be triggered.
After the creation and successful linkage of workflow with the event it is required it is required to generate a function module and attached it to the process code.
Go to SE37 transaction and copy a standard process code function module to a custom one. Do no delete any parameters from the function module as the SAP standard program itself is calling this.
In that function module do the required validation and whenever the validation fails set a standard parameter WORKFLOW_RESULT to 9999 from within the function module, otherwise normally proceed to set the status to 53.
After the creation of function module it is required to attach it to the process code and corresponding attached to the message type at the Partner Profile stage.
The process code is being created through the transaction WE42
Go to the change mode and click the New Entries button for creating new process code.
Enter the Process Code Name, description and choose the processing type as Processing by function module. Click on the extension button of Identification.
The details for the of the Process Code after clicking the identification button will be
Whenever idoc arrives into the Destination system then the standard SAP triggers the Process code attached to the Message type in the partner profile. The partner profile is being maintained in the transaction WE20.
Since, it is and inbound scenario so the message type and the corresponding process code will be maintained for the Inbound Parameters.
Click on Create Inbound Parameters button for creating new Inbound Message type and the corresponding message type.
Enter the process code for the corresponding message type.
Click SAVE button for saving the changes.
Whenever the IDOC arrives into the target system, it checks the partner profile and finds the corresponding process code. The process code is being linked with the function module through which the IDOC is required to be processed.

ALE error : Maintenance systems not identical
Hi All,
I just configured the ALE settings to send material from client 250 to 214 on the same ECC. When I try to distribute the model I get the error "Maintenance systems are not identical."
What could be the fix for this?Hi Sakthi,
Refer these links:
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/wiki?path=/display/xi/sapR3%2528Idocs%2529ToXI--Steps+Summarized
/people/swaroopa.vishwanath/blog/2007/01/22/ale-configuration-for-pushing-idocs-from-sap-to-xi
Steps to be followed are:
1. Create a Logical system for the sender SAP system and the receiving XI system using Transaction - u2018SALEu2019:
2. Assign Client to the Sender Logical System
3. Create RFC destination of type u20183u2019 for SAP XI system using transaction u2013 SM59 note: Make sure that the name of the RFC destination and Logical system for SAP XI is the same.
4. Create a Distribution Model through u2018SALEu2019 transaction. Create a Distribution Model by selecting u2018Create Model Viewu2019.
5. For the model view created above, add the message type of the idoc that you wish to send using this model view. Select u2018Add Message Typeu2019 option and then specify the sender logical system and the receiver logical system.
6. Generate the partner profiles by selecting the navigation path from the main menu, Environment --> Generate Partner profiles
7. From the main screen navigate through the menu option, EDIT --> MODEL VIEW --> DISTRIBUTE. Upon receiving the message, it means the distribution is successful.
8. Go to transaction BD10 to send a material out of IDES
9. Go to transaction WE02/WE05 to check the status of the IDOC in the sendign system.
Hope this helps

Tcode BDBG - Generate ALE Interface for BAPI
Hi All,
I'm trying to generate an ALE interface for the BAPI - BAPI_BUSPROCESSND_CREATEMULTI for my LSMW project, for which I have created a bespoke object in SWO1 (ZBUS), but each time I try to generate the ALE interface for the BAPI I get the error as follows -
Segment Z1BPBUS20001_HEADER_INS is used multiple times in IDoc types
Message no. EA799
Diagnosis
Segment type Z1BPBUS20001_HEADER_INS is used multiple times in the IDoc type. A segment type may only be used once in each IDoc type.
I agree, segment BAPIBUS20001_HEADER_INS is used more than once in BAPI_BUSPROCESSND_CREATEMULTI for the HEADER and CREATED_PROCESS tables, so is there any alternate solution to it?
I have also tried running BDBG for BAPI_ACTIVITYCRM_CREATEMULTI, and I get athe same error message as above for the segment - BAPIBUS20001_APPOINTMENT_INS - but I cannot see this segment being used anywhere else except for tables DATE.
Kind regards,
Arijit DasHi Suresh,
thanks for your reply.
Method of BAPI has not been deleted,
but message type, idoc type and FM for Outbound processing.
These objects are within SAP namespace, so recreation will not work.
Regards

Making BDBG Easy (Generate ALE Interface for BAPI)
<b>Making BDBG Easy</b>
Transaction BDBG is used to generate an ALE interface for SAP standard or custom developed BAPIs. Once a BAPI is given an ALE interface, it can be used in LSMW for migrating data or just as another IDoc. Quite a few SAP standard BAPIs cannot be used in LSMW as they do not come with an ALE interface. OSS note Documentation on Transaction BDBG (note number 125776) details the necessary steps to use transaction BDBG but it does not comprehensively cover the technical issues that one may encounter in order to create an ALE interface.
BAPI_ACTIVITYCRM_CREATEMULTI, which is used to create Activities in CRM, will be used to illustrate a step-by-step approach to using transaction BDBG.
Go to Object Navigator (transaction SE80) and create a bespoke function group, we will call ours Z_CRM_ACTIVITY. Activate it.
Then go to Function Builder (transaction SE37), and copy the BAPI to a bespoke function module. Thus, BAPI_ACTIVITYCRM_CREATEMULTI is copied to Z_BAPI_ACTIVITYCRM_CREATEMULTI and assigned to the function group that we created in the previous step Z_CRM_ACTIVITY. Edit the bespoke function module, go to the Attributes tab, and release the function module (<i>Menu Path Function Module >> Release >> Release</i>). Now activate the function module.
IDoc segment types have a maximum length of 27 characters. Each associated type for the Parameters (tabs Import, Export, Changing, and Tables) in a BAPI becomes a segment in the IDoc. Thus, an associated type in a BAPI cannot exceed 27 characters. During the ALE generation process anything beyond the 27th character gets truncated. This leads to more than 1 segment being called the same, and as a result an error occurs when the ALE interface is generated in the final step as an IDoc cannot have the same segment twice.
Eg: Table parameters DATE and DATEX correspond to types BAPIBUS20001_APPOINTMENT_INS (28 characters long) and BAPIBUS20001_APPOINTMENT_INSX (29 characters) respectively.
Also, a developer does not have the option to reduce the segment name during the ALE generation process. So in order to have an error free ALE generation happening in the end, bespoke associated types need to be created and assigned to our bespoke BAPI.
Go to ABAP Dictionary (transaction SE11), and create ZXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX data types for the structures in the BAPI that are greater than 27 characters. Activate all these bespoke structures.
Bespoke structures ZBAPIBUS20001_APP_INS and ZBAPIBUS20001_APP_INSX can be used in lieu of the standard SAP ones for parameters DATE and DATEX. The same correction method needs to take place for other excessively long types, like the types being referenced by LOCATION and LOCATIONX.
Go to Business Object Builder (transaction SWO1). A search for Activity as the short description produces a few hits. After examining all the objects returned in the hit, we see that BAPI_ACTIVITYCRM_CREATEMULTI belongs to 2 Business Objects - BUS2000110 (CRM Activity) and BUS2000126 (CRM Business Activity).
Copy either of these objects to a bespoke object ZXXXXXXXXX, we will copy BUS2000110 and rename it to ZBUS200010, program RBUS2000110 should also be copied to a Z version (ZRBUS2000110), and the object name can be changed to Company Name (eg: XXX) followed by ActivityCRM (XXXActivityCRM).
Now we edit our bespoke object, and create a method for it by placing the mouse cursor on methods in the object type tree and clicking the create button on the menu bar.
A pop-up appears on the screen with the following text
<i>Create with function module
as template? </i>
After clicking on Yes, another pop-up asks for a function module to be entered, enter the bespoke function module Z_BAPI_ACTIVITYCRM_CREATEMULTI here and click the tick button.
Accept all the default values in the next pop-up Create Method: Method Properties, and do the same for the next pop-up Create Method: Create Parameters. In the next pop-up click Yes to the question
<i>Method ZBAPIACTIVITYCRMCREATEMULTI not
yet implemented
Do you want to generate a template
automatically for the missing section?</i>
Double-click on the newly created method and go to the ABAP tab, the Function Module option will be selected as the default, make the API function as the default and click OK. Generate the business object.
Now, click on the method of the object and release the method (<i>Menu Path Edit >> Change Release Status >> Object Type Component >> To Released</i>). Double-click on the method to confirm that the Status is released.
Save all the changes made, and Back out of the Edit mode and go the main Business Object Builder screen. Re-generate the business object. First implement, then release the main object ZBUS200010 (<i>Menu Path Object Type >> Change Release Status To >> Implemented, then follow the same menu path and click on Released</i>).
Go to the BAPI Explorer (transaction BAPI), click on the filter icon on the menu bar, and select radiobutton All. Click on the alphabetical tab. Look for XXXActivityCRM in the list. Release status should be Released for this object.
Now we should be able to generate the ALE interface for the BAPI. Execute transaction BDBG, enter the bespoke object (ZBUS200010), do a drop down on the method field and select the bespoke method from the list. Click on the create button on the menu bar. In the first pop-up accept Message Type ZBAPIACTIVITYCRM and click OK. In the next pop-up the following values should be there by default
IDoc type ZBAPIACTIVITYCRM01,
ALE Outbound Processing
Function Module ZZ_ALE_ACTIVITYCRM_CREATEMULTI,
Function Group Z_CRM_ACTIVITY, and
ALE Inbound Processing
Function Module ZIDOC_INPUT_ZBAPIACTIVITYCRM,
Function Group Z_CRM_ACTIVITY.
The option Call in update task should be ticked.
Now our BAPI has an ALE Interface to it and can be used in conjunction with either the BAPI or IDoc option in LSMW. The default values for an IDoc Inbound Processing should be maintained in order to use the bespoke BAPI / IDoc.Great

How to get the last error for while loop?
How to get the last error for while loop? I just want transfer the last error for while loop, but the program use the shift register shift all error every cycle.
What do you mean by "get" and "transfer"?
If the shift register is not what you want, use a plan tunnel instead.
Typically, programmers are interested in the first, not last, error.
Can you show us your code so we have a better idea what you are trying to?

Item Open Interface giving error for Org Assignment
We ran the MTL_SYSTEMS_ITEMS_INTERFACE & loaded all the items at master level.
We are having issues in setting at Org level. Cant figure out what the issue as only few records gets assigned & then garbage sets in for remaining records. An SR has been raised & the tech support representative was saying that UOM's are different at master & org levels. Never heard of this issue earlier. I have worked with UOM's different at Master/Org levels.
The UOM's are different at Master & Org Level and in some cases the UOM are different for different Orgs. Attribute Control for Primary/Sec UOM is at Org level. The UOM's belong to the same UOM Class. There are standard conversions defined for all these UOMs.
Any pointers for quick resolution ?Pl do not post duplicates - Item Open Interface giving error for Org Assignment

says that your network setup is not correct. You need to resolve that first.
As for Broker setup steps how about the doc or our Data Guard 11g Handbook?
It's 3 DGMGRL commands so I am not sure what 'steps' you need?

Please can some one help me to troubleshoot so that i can rectify this error for 1 employee?
Edited by: 594647 on Apr 16, 2010 10:46 AMyou can delete the retro assignment action for the moment, so you can launch the run for all employees.
As such, you have some more time to debug the issue.
I would activate some payroll tracing, so you know which fast formula throws this error. And then you should dig further, so you can identify the sql retruning multiple rows.
Or you do a sql*trace. That one will also point you to the offensive sql. -
Could not load file/URL (file not found) error for JNLP file
I am completely baffled in trying to figure out why I am getting the following error for some JNLP files but not others:
Error: could not load file/URL specified: C:\Users\tom\AppData\Local\Temp\javaws2
java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Users\tom\AppData\Local\Temp\javaws2 (The system cannot find the file specified)
at java.io.FileInputStream.open(Native Method)
at java.io.FileInputStream.<init>(Unknown Source)
at java.io.FileInputStream.<init>(Unknown Source)
at com.sun.javaws.jnl.LaunchDescFactory.buildDescriptor(Unknown Source)
at com.sun.javaws.Main.launchApp(Unknown Source)
at com.sun.javaws.Main.continueInSecureThread(Unknown Source)
at com.sun.javaws.Main$1.run(Unknown Source)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)I have Googled around this forum and elsewhere, and have seen reports that this error is IE-specific, and seems to have something to do with no-cache headers being sent, or with the client browser's cache being full or turned off (which is not my case). I saw the information in the JavaWS FAQ, which recommended turning off security constraints for the JNLP's URI. I tried that, and it didn't help. One of the very baffling things is that I have created several variations of the JNLP file, with varying combinations of jars and property resources, and some combinations always work while other combinations never work. Here's an example:
<jnlp spec="1.0+" codebase="$$codebase">
<information>
<title>demo app</title>
<description>illustrates weird bug</description>
</information>
<resources>
<j2se version="1.5+"/>
<jar href="randomFile.jar"/>
<property name="xxx" value="xxxx"/>
<property name="swing.metalTheme" value="steel"/>
</resources>
</jnlp>The above file always fails with the error shown at the top of this message. However, if I remove either of the two properties, it works fine. And I have created other variations with lots of properties, some of which work. All of these variations are in the same directory in the war file, served by the exact same servlet (a slightly modified version of the jnlp.sample.servlet.JnlpDownloadServlet provided with JDK 1.6.0_3). Assuming that a no-cache header is the problem, what on earth could be causing some JNLP files to always be served with a no-cache header, while others are never served with a no-cache header?
On a related note, any recommended debugging techniques for seeing what headers are being transmitted? I tried adding a simple check for a "debug=true" parameter in the servlet that causes it to set the content type to "text/plain" instead of JNLP, and that allows me to see (rather than execute) the JNLP XML that's being returned, but it doesn't show me the HTTP headers that are being sent back. If any caching headers are being set, I think it must be being set by the servlet container itself, as it's nothing being set in the servlet code that I can see. So I don't see any way on the server side Java code to output or log the actual HTTP response (or is there?). Any tips in that regard much appreciated.
Edited by: TomC125468 on Aug 19, 2009 1:35 PMHi Luca-Sanna,
Thanks for the response. Re browsers, yes, it fails in IE but it succeeds in Firefox. The info on the JavaWS FAQ and other places all seem to indicate that it's an IE issue concerning handling of the cache-control headers.
I should check in my webserver forum (Sun WebServer 7) to see about logging options. Sniffing on the client side is not possible, as my app is required to use HTTPS exclusively, and unfortunately that also precludes a telnet GET request. -
500 Internal Server error for WD applications
Dear All
I have a very strange situation and I don´t have any idea of what to do.
Basis took the backend R/3 system down for some reasons and made it up again after some time. But now they have locked all users in our backend R/3 system as Basis is performing some task on the server.
This has resulted in all web dynpro applications that are using RFC's throwing 500 Internal server error.
All other web dynpro applications that are not dependent on R3 system are working fine.
We also have restarted the EP server as we deployed one WD application.
I'm not sure how the situation was before the restart of EP server.
In NWA i can see many error for ACCESS.ERROR: Authorization check for caller assignment to J2EE security role service.jms.default.authorization : administrators referencing J2EE security role .
Also
application Processing HTTP request to servlet finished with error. The error is: com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.TypeNotFoundException: type is.eimskip.keywordsearchmodel.types.Zotkey could not be loaded: com.sap.dictionary.runtime.DdException: failed to create provider: User is locked. I believe that error will get resolved once the users are unlocked in R/3 system.
But the stituation is, we will get the system back on monday morning and I'll have no time to do anything as the business will be back in 1 hr when we get the system back.
Can you please help me to identify the tasks that I can perform and be sure that all will be normal on Monday (and I'll still be in job.)
Request your help and support.
Thanks
Vineet
Edited by: vineet vikram on Apr 19, 2008 12:41 PMHi vineet,
Check the following things:
(1) Specify the user names in Capital letters and try. This will help you. (this could be the problem)
(2) Test the RFC destination using the tCode SM59 and try to remote login from there.
(3) If the user is locked, you can unlock using the tCode SU01.
