Alert Framework : Adapter Engine
Hi Everybody,
I am working on an Idoc to SOAP Scenario.
The requirement is to raise alerts whenever there is a failure at the SOAP receiver adapter.
In the Alert message (adapter engine failure) I need to pass the Idoc Number from the payload.
Is it possible to pass the fields from payload as Alerts (I mean only adapter engine).
I have already reffered Blog from Micheal.
/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/03/13/alerts-with-variables-from-the-messages-payload-xi--updated
I don't think the above procedure in the blog can capture payloads and alerts at adapter engine.
Is it possible to achieve this?
Can somebody help me out if there is any solution?

Thanks,

Hi Zabiulla,
>Is it possible to raise for the Adapter level Exceptions
Yes, choose
conditions Connected to message: Not Relevant and
any conditions on Receiver
Select at area "Where did the error occur" Adapter Engine
You cant store dynamic values in the alert, this is only from BPM possible, so you wont have a IDoc number, but if you check on "Dynamic text" in the alert category, you will have automaticly a link in the alert to the right message of RTW monitoring.

PI Email Alert Configuration - Multiple Alert in Adapter Engine
Hi,
My SAP PI alert emails are now working. However, when I get an error in the Adapter Engine (RWB),MULTIPLE OF EMAIL ALERTS are being sent. When an error occurs in Integration Engine, only 1 email alert is sent.
For the Adapter Engine Alert Rule, i have checked the 'Suppress Multiple Alerts of This Rule' and i didn't receive any emails, but when I unchecked it, i receive multiple emails.
im using PI7.1 SP08. is there an effect because my SP is not updated?
thank you.HI Indrajit,
thanks for the response.
i have checked the 'Suppress Multiple Alerts of This Rule' but i am not receiving an alert message. The error occurred in the RWB Adapter Engine. However, if i uncheck the 'Suppress Multiple Alerts of This Rule', i am receiving multiple alert messages.
Is there an additional configuration?
thank you. -
Alert for adapter engine error
Hello experts
We have configured the alerts for the adapter engine errors .We have configured the variable &SXMS_TO_ADAPTER_ERRTXT& element which is having the CHAR70 type for getting the adapter engine error text in the alert inbox.so for any adapter engine error greater than 70 chracters ,it is getting truncated to 70 chracters only.but we want to have the whole adapter error log text.
Can anyone please throw some light on this.
Thanks
sabyasachiMoha,
It seems that it cannot support more than that.

Hi,
I have set up the alert configuration and I am receiving all the alerts for intergeration server but when I raise any alert for adapter engine.. I am not receiving anything. Is there anything special needs to be done for the same.
Please Help ! ! ! !

RiaHi,
When you create the Alert Rules, create a separate Alert Rule for the Adapter Engine errorrs.
In where did the error occur in the alert rule, select Adapter Engine and make the adapter type as ALL.
To forward alerts to an Email Id, this is what you need to do,
1. Assign the Email Id to the recipient of the Alert in SU01.
2. Go the Alert Inbox of the recipient in RWB , Personalization --> Time Independent Delivery -->Email.
3.If SCOT has been configured, for every Alert sent to the Alert Inbox of the user, the Alert Email will now be triggered.
4.Text of the mail will be the Long Text defined in ALRTCATDEF.

Hi,
we have problems in our xi system (PI 7.0, SPS10). The adapter engine can only be monitored in the communication channel monitoring, available in the runtime workbench!
There sometimes errors disappear. At the moment these errors accumulate!
Is it possible to view these errors/ alerts in the ccms (rz20) monitoring?
So we don't look all the time in the communication channel monitoring!
Have anybody an idea?

Any clues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

VijayAlerts are triggered for adapter level errors also, if you are on SP 14 and above. No spl config required for this.

Adapter Engine - Alert Framework - Suppress Multiple Alerts
Hello,
I use XI in SP14.
I have configured the alert framework with rules for "Integration Engine" and for "Adapter Engine". I have check for the two cases the option "Suppress Multiple Alerts of This Rule".
For the same error (for example, mapping error) the option "Suppress Multiple Alerts of This Rule" works fine for the rules based on the "Integration Engine", but for the rule based on the "Adapter Engine" the option "Suppress Multiple Alerts of This Rule" doesn't work. For example i have a sender file adapter which reads some files on a nework directory (polling every 5 secondes) and if we have a network failure, i will receive several times the same email from the Alert Framework. Is it normal or a bug ?

VincentHi,

I am getting alerts when I manually test the alerts configurations by running the report u2018RSALERTTESTu2019.
I am getting mail as :
Alert ID: ##00009##
Dear Administrator,
This is with respect to XI Scenario. During processing of XML file from ECC or XYZ Server, Following error has been occured:

ALERT not getting triggered for messages in error in adapter engine
Hi All,
I am doing the same scenario where I have created two Alert category Alert_cat1 and Alert_cat2, both are similar but one i have created for error in integration engine(Alert_cat1 ) and other for adapter engine(Alert_cat2).
Now for Alert_cat1 i have created a rule and in the setting "where did the error occur" I have given no restriction.
Now for Alert_cat2,as discussed in the above blog I have created many rule each for various adapter.
I have tested it, above mentioned configuration is working for message mapping error (sxmb_moni)
but not for any error in adapter engine for messages in waiting or system erroe status.
Kindly suggest where I am going wrong.

Hi All,
I am on PI 7.1 SP 7. I have created Alert Category for Adapter Errors, but they are not delivering any emails. I have checked the logs in SXMSALERT_LOGREADER. It says the following
Alert Category <ALRT_NAME> in rule Adapter Exception not yet confirmed. Skip creation of new Alert.
Rule Active - Yes
Suppress Multiple Alerts - Not Checked
Connected to Message - No
So all other parameters are '*'
Adapter Engine is checked.
Can anybody please help?

Adapter Engine alerts: Error in Adapter Engine
Hi All,
I have configured Alerts for <b>Adapter Engine</b>.
I am getting alerts with Alert Text as follows during Scenario runs - XML File to ABAP Proxy Scenario (Average size of files is in MB's) daily.
1.Error: DeliveryException: Problem inserting 6204b980-2f9d-11dc-9262-001635731444(OUTBOUND) into the database: com.sap.engine.services.dbpool.exceptions.BaseSQLException: Connection is invalid.
2.Error: com.sap.engine.services.ts.exceptions.BaseSystemException: Exception ( SAP J2EE Engine JTA Transaction : [c1e757e003475] ) in rollback.
This error comes just <b>momentarily</b> and Messages (Files) are processed Successfully (No System Errors, etc at Adapter Engine).
I am not able to figure out the reason for this exception.
Expecting your valuable inputs.
Thanks.
Regards,
Sudharshan N AHi,
This happens sometimes when the adapter engine is on heavy load. Since the message is asynchronous, it is persistent. So it tries to write the message onto teh backend DB on which XI is involved. When teh load is more on the AE, the communication sometimes fails for a few milli seconds. This happens at times. Once it has enough capacity, it again preocesses the message successfully. It also happens sometimes that the message content will be lost. As of now, i am not sure if there is any solution for this.
reward if helpful.
Thanks,

Adapter engine Error not caught in alert rule &alert category
Hi All,
I have cretaed my alert rule as follow.
Conditions
Connected To Message ; Not Relavant
Sender Service : *
Sender Interface : Test_OB
Sender NameSpace :urn:abc.com
Receiver party : *
Reciver Service:*
Receiver Interface : *
Receiver Namespace:*
Where did the error occur
No restriction.
When i tested this alert rule, mails are getting triggered for Integration engine alerts. But when messages fails in adapter engine, i am not getting any alerts/mails at all. Why this happens?
How should i debug this?Check this for troubleshooting: /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/09/09/xi-alerts--troubleshooting-guide
Also the alert should be raised in Adapter Engine for Test_OB as source interface.
Uncheck Suppress Multiple Alerts of This Rule checkbox.

Abhishek.
