Alert or not to alert

I have a web page i run on a local process network. If i use an alert and confirm dialog box it works out ok on a single monitor station, but we use dual monitor stations and the window ends up in the center of the two screens. This is a problume because if you click on things to move the box you could shut off equipment.I can use a modal dialog box and place it but i dont know how to get all the same properties as an alert,confirm box.
Any way i can move that possition in dual monitor screen or find properties for modal box that when it changes theams it changes dialog box?

This alert popping up in the middle of the two monitors is a product of how your video card handles the larger screen area. There should be a display setting to not stretch your desktop or something like that. That will make it so things like the alerts will show up in the middle of monitor 1, and that your Windows Taskbar will only stretch over one monitor, while your desktop area will still cover both.

Hai Experts!
i have transported the Alert Classification and Alert Category from development system to Quality system and i created the alert rule in QA. Now alerts mails are not tiggering. In se30 i have excecuted the RSALERTTEST that time i am getting a mail in the alert inbox and also to my mail box but for a real time data alert is not getting triggered.
Pls help me to solve this issue.

vii.     Select the interval you require, such as 10 minutes.
viii.   Choose Create.

If the iPhone came from the US then it is locked to AT&T. To unlock an iPhone the original carrier is the only one who can unlock the iPhone and AT&T will not unlock iPhones. So there is not official way to unlock the iPhone 4.
At this point there is no way to hack the iPhone 4 running 4.2.1 to unlock it either so the phone and messaging apps will never work. You basically have an iPod touch.

Why do I keep getting a File not Found alert when I type into my browser?
I have been using firefox for about 4 yrs now with very few problems. The problem I am having is that when ever I go to type in anything into my browser I keep receiving this message:

Firefox can't find the file at jar:file:///C:/Program Files (x86)/Mozilla Firefox/omni.jar!/chrome/en-US/locale/browser-region/region.propertieschronic+fatigue+syndrome.
I recently installed Firefox 5.0 and this keeps happening. It happened with the 4.0 version a couple of days ago but mostly it is the 5.0 version that I am having problems with. When ever I want to do a search I have to manually type in google.com. Is there a solution to fix this?

The NuGet is a dll that was built with 4.0.0.0. The easiest thing to fix problem is target you VS project to use Net 4.0. You could get a new version of NuGet, but if you do make sure you rebuild your entire project. The dependencies in
the VS compiler doesn't always recognize updated libraries. So I normally rename the bin folder in the project and then delete the bin folder. VS will create a new bin folder and then rebuild all the source files. If your project contains
multiple projects then remember to delete the bin from all projects.

Alert is not working for a library

Hi,
Alert is not working for one library in a site collection only. For others it is working fine. So, we have taken the template of the library and created a new library and tested there, alerts are working fine also.
So any idea what can be the issue?

What should I do about the alert "Could not initialize the application's security component...." Firefox no responding.

When I open up firefox I get the alert:
Could not initialize the application's security component. The most likely cause is problems with files in your application's profile directory. Please check that this directory has no read/write restrictions and your hard disk is not full or close to full. It is recommended that you exit the application and fix the problem. When I click OK I get my home page (google), but nothing works: no web sites will open. I have downloaded the new version of firefox and carried out a defraggle without success.

Okay, I am fine, I verify the RunAs account configuration and yes this is the problem... I was able to solve it for those SQL running servicec account using domain user account, I created the run as account, and assoistte it with SQL profiles,
and it is fine....
BUT, what about my 8 SQL Servers running SQL Service Account under System and Network accounts,
so how Can I add this coz I cannot target all objects,so what shall I target (Object Health Service or WHAT)?
Please I need it step by step coz I am not able to handle this issue....

Report Alerts are not shown on crystal server 2011

Hi,
I have created alerts on From date and To Date. The alert is shown when the difference between From Date and To Date is more than an year. It is shown properly in the crystal report designer. When I am uploading the same report to the server the alerts are not shown on the server.
Can someone help me with the same.

I have uploaded the report in CMC using Add--> Local Document.
For Alerts I have checked the Box 'Enable Alert'. Still I am not getting a Pop Up which I get in the crystal report designer. Is the Alert sent on Crystal Server by email? I have currently selected default setting in Configure Alert Notification.

Error in JMS Communication Channel not raising alert

Processing Errors in JMS Communication Channel are not raising alerts.
The settings on the communication channel retires are set at 3 and 5min interval.
In RWB the JMS communication channel shows processing errors but an alert is not raised.
The alert are configured in our system and we even have a catch all alert rule with * (wildcard). Errors in PI message processing are raising alerts but errors in Comm Channel are not raising alerts.
The message in SXI_MONITOR shows as processed successfully but when we check the RWB and Comm. Channel Monitoring we see processing errors "Channel error occured; detailed error description: JMS error: Connection to the server has been terminated; Linked error: Connection reset, Error Code:null"
Are we missing any configuration? How do we get alerts/notifications if there are errors in Comm. Channel without having to login into RWB and watch it periodically?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

What is the staus of Communication channel in RWB when it fails, RED ??if yes then it should genarate alert.
create one more alert for specific to JMS interface and check it out.

Email Alert Template Issue - List Alerts (Alert Me) emails not using customized XML alert template

We have recently customized the XML alerts template (AlertTemplates.xml) for our site collection in SharePoint 2010 to exclude specific fields in the email when users who have subscribed using the "Alert Me" feature. We have renamed the
custom alerts XML file and loaded the custom template in the following directory (%ProgramFiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web server extensions\14\TEMPLATE\XML) and restarted IIS. Once users subscribe to the alerts using the list "alert me"
function they received the customized email as intended.
We needed to auto-subscribe users to the email alerts so what we did was use a powershell script to add users to the alert subscriptions using the script shown below:

When we ran the script and added the users and restarted the service, all users who were auto-subscribed via this method get the email without the customizations that were done in teh custom alert template. All users who manually subscribed on their
own to the list using the "Alert Me" function would get the customized email.
Does anyone know why users who manually subscribe to the alerts get the customized email, and users who were auto-subscribed using the powershell script do not get the customized email and get the standard generic email template?

According to your code, it create a new alert using SPUser.Alerts.Add() method. For this method, it will create a new alert based on the predefined alert template by default.
If you only assigned the custom alert template to the list, users who manually subscribe to the alerts get the customized email, but users who were auto-subscribed using the PowerShell script get the standard
generic email template.
For your issue, you can set the new alert ‘s alert template:

ALERT code not working, need help.

i'm working in forms 10.1.2.0.2 and i have written some code to call an Alert when the user puts in an invalid number, however, the alert isn't poping up and the cursor will not move out of the field. This is on a post-text script.
basic:

Why are you using a Post-Text-Item trigger instead of a When-Validate-Item trigger? How is your user leaving the field that this trigger is attached to? If the user is mouse-clicking to leave the field - the Post-Text-Item trigger will not fire. Take a look at the "Post-Text-Item trigger Restrictions" listed in the Forms Help system for this and other restrictions on using the Post-Text-Item trigger.

Alert sounds not working in iPad

My iPad does not play alert sounds and line2 does not send push notifications with sound until i open the app. Maybe the app but does anyone else have this issue? I have gone to settings/generalsound and set the "Ringer and Alerts" section sound to wide open and I turned the "Change with Buttons" to off. Does anyone else have this issue. I was not really looking forward to restoring a back up copy but I might have to.

I have found the answer to my own problem...listed here in this discussion: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3008964?start=0&tstart=0 it has to do with the lock mute/rotation button. When the selector switch is on lock rotation alerts will not play sound. Also sounds in apps and sometimes video will not work unless you are listening through head phones. This bug has existed for a while according to the post in the link.

When I tap a photo in my iPhone photo gallery, the photo appears but there is always a "this movie format not supported" alert and then the alert goes away and the photo appears. These are photos I've taken with the iPhone and aren't even movies.

It's very odd. I take photos with my iPhone and then later go to view the photos in the Photo Gallery on my iPhone. The photos to appear, but I keep getting "this movie format not supported" alerts, even though I am looking at photos taken by my iPhone. The alert appears briefly just after the photo appears and then the alert goes away and I can see the photo. They are just still photos and not movies. Why wouldn't the iPhone recognize the format of photos it is taking?

That thread helped for a time. But now it seems as though my computer is back to slow again. But, some of the jargon is over my head as well. Not sure I knew quoite everything they were talking about. But thanks a lot for that, it helped I probably just need to reread it and follow the instructions again. Thanks so much.

Alerts Mails not getting received in outlook mail

Dear All,
I have configured alerts for my scenarios and they are getting trigerred also. But I am not able to receive those alerts in my outlook mail id rather i am able to see those alerts in alert inbox.
Please suggest where might be the error in configuration.

Can you check whether the below authorization is given to that user.
For the sending of alerts via external communication methods (e-mail, sms, fax) and for inbound processing, an RFC user has to be created on the central alert server with the role SAP_BC_ALM_ALERT_USER. The authorization objects contained in this role are S_OC_SEND and S_RFC.

check in ALRTCATDEF transaction what is the user maintained under the fixed receipent tab for that user check the email address in SU01 transaction.
Please check in transaction SCOT (you can give address of your SMTP server in order to send mails),
If it is configured then probably you need to personalized alert delivery. In alert inbox you can select personalized alert delivery and check for "Mail" option.
In SCOT you can see how many mails have beed sent via your XI system.
most of the time email problem is solved by correcting configuration in SCOT. For testing mail system click on System->short message and then send one message to yourself
