  • How to right align a read only numeric field in a panel form layout

    Hi, does anyone know how to right align a read only numeric field in a panel form layout? I am using: Style Class = AFFieldNumberMarker, but it only seems to work if the field is disabled. Disabling the field gives it a difference appearance that does not look right on our forms. These are calculated fields, which cannot be modified, so read only is necessary.
    I have looked online for some answers, and it seems that others are having similar issues.
    I have tried different combinations for the properties, but so far I cannot get it to work.

    It is confirmed now...... I checked that this "Panel Form Layout" does not work on popup. It does not change rows and columns at all..... !!!!
    It works fine on the normal page... but not on the popup.
    Is it Bug or it is shortcoming of 'panel form layout' ???
    Anybody listening ??  anybody faced this earlier ???
    Thanks

  • How to stretch panel form layout

    Hie
    Looks like this component is not strethcable. though my requirement is to
    have 2 row of 3 columns each taking the entire available space. any idea how to achieve this? plz advise

    Hi,
    to quote the documentation: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/apirefs.1111/e12419/tagdoc/af_panelFormLayout.html
    - This component cannot be stretched by a parent layout component that stretches its children, e.g., panelStretchLayout.
    - This component does not stretch its children since most input and select components do not support being stretched.
    The latter I think is more of a problem for you as it means that stretching this component (if it was possible) would not have a visual effect to the component it contains. What I would do instead is to try Trinidad HTML components trh:tableLayout, trh_columnLayout trh:cell format to create a 4 column (label, field, label, field) grid

  • Form layout question

    I am trying to layout a form like this.
    Employees Department
    Employee # 1234 Department # 123 Department Name ABC
    Employee Name Scott Department Type W
    SUBMIT
    I used the Panel form layout but I am not able group them like above with the headings?
    Any help welcome.

    If you want to have multiple columns (say 2) for each row, use as below:
    *<af:panelFormLayout id="pfl1" maxColumns="2" rows="1">*
    <af:panelLabelAndMessage label="#{bindings.DepartmentId.hints.label}" id="plam1">
    <af:outputText value="#{bindings.DepartmentId.inputValue}" id="ot1">
    <af:convertNumber groupingUsed="false" pattern="#{bindings.DepartmentId.format}"/>
    </af:outputText>
    </af:panelLabelAndMessage>
    <af:panelLabelAndMessage label="#{bindings.DepartmentName.hints.label}" id="plam2">
    <af:outputText value="#{bindings.DepartmentName.inputValue}" id="ot2"/>
    </af:panelLabelAndMessage>
    <af:panelLabelAndMessage label="#{bindings.ManagerId.hints.label}" id="plam3">
    <af:outputText value="#{bindings.ManagerId.inputValue}" id="ot3">
    <af:convertNumber groupingUsed="false" pattern="#{bindings.ManagerId.format}"/>
    </af:outputText>
    </af:panelLabelAndMessage>
    <af:panelLabelAndMessage label="#{bindings.LocationId.hints.label}" id="plam4">
    <af:outputText value="#{bindings.LocationId.inputValue}" id="ot4">
    <af:convertNumber groupingUsed="false" pattern="#{bindings.LocationId.format}"/>
    </af:outputText>
    </af:panelLabelAndMessage>
    </af:panelFormLayout>
    If you want all columns in the same row, use as below:
    *<af:panelGroupLayout id="pgl1" layout="horizontal" halign="center">*
    <af:panelLabelAndMessage label="#{bindings.DepartmentId.hints.label}" id="plam1">
    <af:outputText value="#{bindings.DepartmentId.inputValue}" id="ot1">

    </af:outputText>
    </af:panelLabelAndMessage>
    <af:panelLabelAndMessage label="#{bindings.DepartmentName.hints.label}" id="plam2">
    <af:outputText value="#{bindings.DepartmentName.inputValue}" id="ot2"/>
    </af:panelLabelAndMessage>

  • Flex form layout - add first child vertically aligned with label

    Hi all..
    In flex form layout
    <mx:Form id="form">
            <mx:FormItem label="horizontal:">
                <mx:Text text="test"/>
            </mx:FormItem>
    </mx:Form>
    the output will be
    horizontal 'test'
    But my constraint is i want to align the textbox(first child of the  form item ) vertically with the label. How can i do this ?Any inputs  invited

    Hi,
    You can specify the direction as vertical for FormItem and inside the formitem you can add another text for the header.
    Check the code below.
    <mx:Form id="form">
            <mx:FormItem direction="vertical">
                <mx:Text text="horizontal:"/>
                <mx:Text text="test"/>
            </mx:FormItem>
        </mx:Form>

  • How to build a BIG TREE with Tree-Form layout

    Hi,
    I do have a self-referenced table with our org structure - 15 000 positions.
    I do want to create a tree with this structure.
    Requirements :
    a, to have a tree-form layout
    b, to have search capabilities
    I have tried to use several combinations (maybe all)
    - from using only one View object and create recursive tree - doesn't even run
    - to use two View objects, first as top level nodes, the other as the rest - it runs
    but I can search only top level, and what is worse, by clicking on the node for showing additional information (tree-form layout) I'm waiting for ages for seeing the info
    (it seems that all records are loaded one by one into AS)
    Could you provide some ideas how to deal with this ?
    Thanks.

    I am sorry, this is beyond the scope of this forum.
    As with any functionality not directly provided by JHeadstart, you can build it yourself using the ADF design time tools in JDeveloper. Please use the JDeveloper forum for help on this first step.
    Then, to keep your pages generatable you can move these customizations to custom templates. We are happy to help you with this last step, should you have problems there.

  • Adobe Livecycle Designer ES 2 - how to repeat page layout in the form?

    How would you repeat page layout design randomly in a form, means how the same page layout can be repeated on non-consecutive pages of an LC Form? For e.g. I want to repeat Page1 layout on Page 5 and Page 6 of an LC Form. How to do that. Please reply.

    You use Master Pages to set layout that you want to use on multiple pages.
    Design what you want in a Master Page and then assign it to the pages you want in Object>Pagination>Place: and choose On Page> whatever you called your Master Page.

  • How to control the  space between records in form layout

    Hi ,
    I need to display mutiple records (15-20) in a form ,
    and have choosen FORM layout as I need to display each record in two lines (Can a record be displayed in two lines in TABULAR layout ? ) .
    Now There is lot of space between each record and I could not move records closer . How can I control space between reords in FORM layout ?
    (While creating Canvas I selected Distance bwteen records = 0 )
    Thanks in advance,
    Asha

    Asha,
    no in tabular layout there is no way to display a record on two lines. All you can do is to use a stacked canvas and use it to make the table scrollable horizontally
    The distance between record setting is a property on the item level. if this is set to 0 (please double check) then all that is loeft is the item bevel. You can set the item bevel property to plain and then work on resizing the items hight until close to acceptable.

  • How to attach PLD layout for my custom form.

    How to attach PLD layout for my custom form.
    Or
    How to enable print functinality for my custorm form - purchase indent etc
    Is the only option is Query print layout or any other option?

    Hi,
    Unfortunately, you cannot create your own PLD layouts for your addons. Instead, most developers opt for a third party report writer such as Crystal Reports or SQL Reporting Services to provide reports.
    If you search this forum you'll find a lot of useful information on how to integrate Crystal with your addon.
    Kind Regards,

  • How to add 2 rows in the form layout?

    In the detail page,form layout only one row pick up from database and it displays please anyone have idea about how to display 2 rows or 3 rows in a page?
    how to add 2 rows in the form layout?
    It's very urgent
    Thanks in advance

    No. You can only achieve this with smart custom templates. Here is sample code which will display multiple employees in form layout:
    <af:forEach items="#{bindings.EmployeesTable.rangeSet}" var="row">
    <af:panelForm rows="1" maxColumns="2" width="10%" id="RegionsFormItems">
    <af:inputText id="EmployeesEmployeeId" value="#{row.LastName}" label="EmployeeId" .... />
    <af:selectInputDate id="EmployeesHireDate" value="#{row.HireDate}" label="HireDate" ...... >
    <af:convertDateTime pattern="#{nls.datepattern}"/>
    </af:selectInputDate>
    </af:panelForm>
    </af:forEach>
