All "Site Content and Structure" default views incorrectly showing "There are no items to show in this view"
Hi All,
On my SharePoint Online site (Office 365) all my “Site Content and Structure” default views are showing “There are no items to show in this view”. For example the “Checked out To Me” view shows “There are no items to show in this view” (shown in screenshot
below). I know this is incorrect and should show at least ten items that have been checked out to me for over two months. I am also a member of the Site Collection Administration and Owner groups.
What I am trying to do is view all the "Checked Out items" within a Site Collection including it's sub-sites.
Is there a feature that needs to be activated to get the correct information from the “Site Content and Structure” default views?
I hope you can help
Colin
Hi Colin,
As I understand, all “Site Content and Structure” default views are showing “There are no items to show in this view” in your SharePoint online site.
Check things below:
1. Go to site content and structure logs in site setting to check if there is correct information.
2. Create a new site collection to check if there are items in Site Content and Structure.
3. Switch another computer to check if it can work.
If the issue still exists, I recommend you to post it in the O365 forum.
http://community.office365.com/en-us/f/default.aspx
The reason why we recommend posting appropriately is you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with us. Thank you for your understanding.
Best regards,
Sara Fan

Exchange Groups showing "There are no items to show in this view."
We're running a three server Exchange 2013 DAG that we moved to from Exchange 2007.
Distribution groups don't appear to be displaying the membership since we migrated to Exchange 2013. In AD the members are there, and if you log in to ECP the members show when you manage the group, and even in Powershell if you do a Get-DistributionGroup
-id "GroupName" | Get-DistributionGroupMembers the member show. But when you are in OWA, go to the All Group's address list, and click on a group it says "There are no items to show in this view".
I made sure that the Set-DistributionGroup -id "Name" -forceupgrade was done (didn't need to, says it doesn't modify anything).
Not sure why the members are not showing up?We're running a three server Exchange 2013 DAG that we moved to from Exchange 2007.

Hi,
We can use the following command to check ExchangeVersion for all groups:
Get-DistributionGroup | fl name,ExchangeVersion
Additionally, we can also check an attribute called msExchVersion on ADUC: click View > Advanced Features and check group Properties > Attribute Editor > msExchVersion which the value should be:
Exchange 2007 = “4535486012416″
Exchange 2010\2013 = “44220983382016″

Hi everyone,
Recently ,I have one publishing site template that has a lot of sub sites which contain a large amount of content.
On root publishing site, I have created custom list including many custom fields
and saved it as template in order that
any sub sites will be able to reuse it later on . My scenario describe as follows.
I need to apply Site Content and Structure Tool to copy a lot of items
from one list to another. Both lists were created from same template
I use Site Content and Structure Tool to copy data from source list
to target list as figure below.
Once copied , all items are completed.
But many columns in target list have been duplicated from source list such as PublishDate ,NumOrder, Detail as
figure below .
What is the huge impact from this duplication?
User can input data into this list successfully
but several values of some columns like “Link column”
won't display on “AllItems.aspx” page
. despite that they show on edit item form page and view item form page.
In addition ,user can input data into this list as above but
any newly added item won't appear on
on “AllItems.aspx” page
at all despite that actually, these
item are existing on database(I try querying by power shell).
Please recommend how to resolve this column duplication problem.Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that it displayed many repeated columns after you copy items from one list to another list in Site Content and Structure Tool.
I have tested in my environment and it worked fine. I created a listA and created several columns in it. Then I saved it as template and created a listB from this template. Then I copied items from listA to listB in Site Content and Structure Tool and it
worked fine.
Please create a new list and save it as template. Then create a list from this template and test whether this issue occurs.
Please operate in other site collections and test whether this issue occurs.
As a workaround, you could copy items from one list to another list by coding using SharePoint Object Model.

Moving pages using Manage Site content and structure is corrupting the version history
Hi,
I am using share point 2010 manage site content and structure feature to move pages from one sub site to other. After doing several edits and check ins of a page and if I try to move the page using manage site content and structure , the version history
is corrupted in the destination site (i.e., all the versions are not showing).
Note: Sometimes content is also getting replicated after performing move operation.
Is it a Bug/ Known issue in SharePoint?
Any info on this issue is very helpful to us.
Thanks in advance!!Hi,

Hi ,
earlier we are moving a page ,document from one site to another sub site with in the Site Collection.
Now,we are getting a un-readable format error.
After selecting the destination we are getting the error.
and the file can't move.
What might me be the error.
Expecting answers related to my question.
1.As we can do using Internet Explorer,
2. Using Send To also we can move.
Using this Site Content and structure we can maintain Versoining also.
If any one face the same issue then we can easily find out the solution.

Site Content and Structure Move
When i am trying to use site content and structure move from one document library to another i get error . It states Attempt to move fail and
<error><customData>d6b2cf5f-c9ab-4769-b36e-b7408321f1a8: Only farm admin can enable or disable throttling.</customData></error>
What can be done by farm side to make this work?
Thanks
AditHi
You might have list items more than expected. You have to disable throttling for that list or library.
$Site = Get-SPWeb -Identity <SiteURL>
$List = $Site.Lists[“List Name”]
$List.EnableThrottling = $false
$List.Update()

That’s all it says in the whole window that opens up. There doesn’t seem to be a specific thing I do that makes it happen and it doesn’t happen every single time I have it open, but pretty close. It seems to happen (most of the time) when I click on the “Today” or “Yesterday” (ect) tabs that organize the emails. But again, it doesn’t happen every time I do this – maybe 8 out of 10 times? It also does it when I just open my Outlook screen to look at it before I even do anything, and sometimes it just does it without even touching it. Also, pretty much every time I send an email it opens a couple pages up. It also doesn’t happen just once, it will open sometimes 5 – 10 of the same screen all at once. My IT person at work suggested deleting Firefox to see if it would stop and it didn't, it would just open up a window saying you have no Firefox so download it. I re-installed Firefox and it still does the same thing – mostly – except now it asks if I want to download the file instead of just opening that white Firefox screen. If I click yes it opens the same screen but it will still open sometimes 5 of those asking if I want to download it.
Microsoft published some articles about this error last year. It might not be the only cause, but can you forward it to your IT for consideration?

Edit: As a short-term workaround, what happens if you make IE your default browser? You can still use Firefox as your primary browser, but of course links and shortcuts from other applications or the desktop will open in IE. -
How to change the default text "There are no items to show in this view" in the visual webpart
Hi,
I am using a visual webpart and in that if there are no items in the list it is showing the default text "There are no items to show in this view." I want to change this default text.
I checked the forums here there are multiple ways are shown but no one is working for me.
Kindly help me to change this text.
Thanks in advanced. It seems you're retrieving items inside a specific you.. why not having a <div> inside you're visual web part and check to see if the count of items retrieved is > 0 then insert that in the div, otherwise, insert your custom message and not rendering
the web part itself. What you're describing is the default message from SharePoint which comes from default views, and this can be changed from xslt in SP 2010 or in JSLink in SP 2013, here's a link how to do so in JSLink :
http://www.idubbs.com/blog/2015/jslink-csr-to-override-there-are-no-items-to-show-in-this-view/ .
But as said, since you're doing a visual web part, keep your stuff in the visual web part and check for the count of items before adding the rendered data to your div.

Abap wp table - there are no items to show in this view
My apologies if I posted this in the wrong section.
I started the system in SAPMMC Console and The ABAP WP Table don´t show any work process list and in Process List section the disp+work.EXE (Dispatcher) IS stopped.
basically the abap WP table says there are no items to show in this view.
as a result, i'm not able to start SAP or log in.I got the same problem, dispatcher status showing as stopper and remaining two are running in the process list
here is the dev_w0 file. I got dev_w0.old also if you want i will also send. It has been more than a year i started the server. before it used to work.
Thanks in advance

The only other odd thing is that in Display by Date - after a few days in the past, the display is blank, last Sunday to be specific.Hi,
Please restart Outlook by running Outlook /cleanviews to restore default views to check whether the issue persists.
If it doesn’t work, please start Outlook in safe mode to check whether the issue is caused by any third-party add-ins in Outlook.

How to hide Recycling bin and View All Site Content
Is there a way to hide the "View All Site Content" and the "Recycling Bin" without modifying with S Designer.
ThanksHiding these links with CSS is a "band-aid" fix. Users are still downloading the HTML for these controls, and users that don't use CSS will still see them in their entirety. The best option is to remove them from your site's master page entirely.
First, look for the following lines of code in your master page. This code renders the "View All Site Content" link:
<Sharepoint:SPSecurityTrimmedControl runat="server" PermissionsString="ViewFormPages">
<div class="ms-quicklaunchheader"><SharePoint:SPLinkButton id="idNavLinkViewAll" runat="server" NavigateUrl="~site/_layouts/viewlsts.aspx" Text="<%$Resources:wss,quiklnch_allcontent%>" AccessKey="<%$Resources:wss,quiklnch_allcontent_AK%>"/></div>
</SharePoint:SPSecurityTrimmedControl>
Now, the "Recycle Bin" link should look something like this:
<SharePoint:SPLinkButton runat="server" NavigateUrl="~site/_layouts/recyclebin.aspx" id="idNavLinkRecycleBin" ImageUrl="/_layouts/images/recycbin.gif" Text="<%$Resources:wss,StsDefault_RecycleBin%>" PermissionsString="DeleteListItems"/>
Now save, check in, and publish your changes. I hope this helps!

Moving files in Content and Structure View hangs on Long Running Operation Status window
Hello,
I have the following issue in a site collection: when I go to site content and structure and browse to a document library, and I select multiple documents, click actions --> move and give the target destination, the screen keeps hanging in LongRunningOperationProgress.aspx
with the message "starting" and the running circle. The files do get moved, but the screen does not come back.
In other site collections this works as normal, and when the LongRunningOperationProgress.aspx page is open, it also states (n of N files moved) or something similar. This status is missing in the faulty site collection.
When I open https:\\<site collection url>\Long%20Running%20Operation%20Status\AllItems.aspx I see that an entry is created here with title "(no title)" and Status "NotStarted".
I have included the ULS log, filtered on the thread ID. I am sure there are some clues there (like Invalid text value. A text field contains invalid data. Please check the value and try again.<nativehr>0x81020018</nativehr><nativestack></nativestack>),
but I can't figure out where to start solving this problem. The Windows event logs don't give any errors. This issue exists on both web front ends (tested locally). The farm is using 14.0.6106.5002.

PM, itemCount - 14Hi,
From your error message, this occurs when the value you supplied for a text field is larger than 255 characters. To address the problem, store less text in the field
or change the field type from text to note.

Unable to view custom report generated in Manage Content and Structure !!!
Hello,
I am farm administrator and I have created report to view all checked out documents for site collection.
as below:
Title : All Checked Out Documents
Query : <Where><Geq><FieldRef Name="CheckoutUser" LookupId="TRUE"/><Value Type="int">0</Value></Geq></Where>
Issue:
When I see the report , I am able to see all checked out documents. However site admin and owner is unable to view this report.
They are getting following message:
There are no items to show in this view.
Would you please let me know what can be the root cause and how can I resolve it ?
Thanks and Regards,
Dipti ChhatrapatiDipti,
This is by design and Unfortunately, no one else can see the documents because they have never been checked in. Even the site owner
can't see the documents. However Site collection admin can see everything.
Fortunately, there is an easy way to handle this situation. The site owner can go to the Document Library Settingspage and click on the link to Manage
checked out files.
From here, he can select the documents and click the Take Ownership of Selection link.
Few links: CHECKING OUT DOCUMENTS =
NO ONE ELSE CAN SEE THEM!
Hope it will help :)

Why page is being unpublished when moving from Manage Content and Structure ?
Hello,
I am getting strange behavior in Manage Content and Structure as below :
when I move published pages from site 1 to site 2 , all moved pages in
site 2 are being unpublished !!
and mention below status :
Status: Checked in and viewable by authorized users.
how to move pages from
Manage Content and Structure so that I don't need to publish the moved pages manually ?
Thanks and Regards,
Dipti

This is a default behavior as a new content is added to site 2 with a different metadata so it is marked as unpublished
