Allocation of an indicator to an equipment

Dear All,
I have this situation: I defined several equipments and I need to define an indicator, allocated to each equipment, to measure the activity of this equipment (number of km en route, number of injections in chemical industry, etc.).
Hereby, I can maintain an programm of maintenance for this equipment.
It's possible?

Hi Dodin,
1. If you have created the eqpt then use Measuring point / Counters in IE02 for capturing such data ...
2. For KM you can create a counter with some annual estimate ..
3. For no of injections made you can create a measuring point ..
4. As per the requirement you can MP Maintenance plans ..

As per Application help, ABC indicator signifies:
An indicator that is assigned by the procedure of ABC analysis.
The following ABC indicators are possible:
A - Important
B - Less important
C - Relatively unimportant
According to these criteria, "A" materials are those materials that are of greatest importance for the production operations of a company.
Examples of use for ABC indicators are vendor master records, material master records, and master records of technical objects.
You can customize the values in ABC indicator as per your requirement.

KBK6 Actual Allocation Price Indicator

Good day.
Regarding the actual allocation price (AAP) indicator, I have defined in the activity type master data a default value of 5. However, when I am running closing period activities, I checked transaction KBK6 and found that the AAP indicator changed to 7. When I ran KSII, activity types that had a value of 7 were omitted, thus I solved the issue by changing the value back to 5 using transaction KBK6.
As I faced this same situation again in the following period, I would like to know what particular event triggers AAP indicator to change from 5 to 7. If any of you have experienced the issue discribed above, I would appreciate your comments.

We've solved this issue...
Let me explain to you and hope this helps you.
For us the issue borns when in a custom process we execute BAPI_COSTACTPLN_POSTACTOUTPUT. This BAPI has a table parameter called CONTRL, with this table you can pass the AAP indicator in field CONTROL-ACT_PRICE_IND. The point is that if you don't pass the CONTROL table the BAPI will delete content of field TARKZ_I in table COKL for the combination of CostCenter/Act.
Then when you enter in KBK7 to check the APP you'll find a value of '007' but this is because FM: K_PLAN_SET_PRICE_FLAG_C sets that value when COKL-TARKZ_I is initial.
For your information the FM K_PLAN_SET_PRICE_FLAG_C applies because table COO0SFN stores this FM for COO0SFN-APPLI = 'C' (Actual Prices for Cost Centers) in field COO0SFN-SPFFN.
The solution we've applied is add CONTRL table parameter in BAPI call indicating that APP is '005', this way COKL-TARKZ_I is always '005'.
Another approach could be play with content of COO0SFN-SPFFN, call another FM, for example a custom one, and force that when COKL-TARKZ_I is initial set a '005 instead of '007'. I haven't tested this approach so I don't know possible indirect consecuencies.

ABC indicator transfer to sub equipments

We use Superior and Sub equipments and we have different ABC indicators for both. However when I change ABC indicator for superior equipment, same gets transferred to sub equipments
Is there a way I can stop this....I do not want data transfer to sub equipment

When you assign any equipment as sub-equipment in IE02 please Unmarked the check box Sub-Eq In structure Tab
(Indicator showing sub-pieces of equipment exist
Indicator showing that sub-pieces of equipment are allocated to this piece of equipment

Problem creating Allocation Table with Reference to a PO

Dear Folks,
I am having problems creating an allocation table with reference to a PO in T-code WA01.
I read the SAP help that some prerequisites need to exist:
==> You can only reference order items flagged as being relevant to a stock split (the Allocation table relevant indicator in the additional item data).
Can anyone advice me where to find this stock split indicator?
Also, can anyone advice me how to reuse an allocation table? For example, I had previously created an allocation table with many articles and various allocation rules. I already generated follow on documents for this table.
Say after 2 weeks, I have the similar requirements that I can make use of the same table, only with minor adjustments to the quantity. How do I create a new allocation table using the existing allocation table data?

Flagging Equipment for Deletion

Can anyone tell me which table is updated when setting the 'Flagged for Deletion' indicator on an Equipment Master record (IE02). Thanks in advance.

I dont have a SAP system and also dont know the table off hand. But something that will also help you in the future.
Do this, set up a SQL trace using transaction ST05.
Activate the trace with filter - using transaction as IE02 and yor user ID (to limit the number of results returned)
Then in a parallel session, run IE02 and mark the equipment record for deletion.
Immediately after, come back to ST05 and switch off the trace (Deactivate).
Finally, List the trace. It will show you all DB tables either read or updated during the course of IE02 transaction.
And on analyzing the same, you would get what you are looking for.
Note: For best performance, to clear buffer of previous DB access, please close all sessions, log back in and then run the above procedure.

Primary cost component split not happening

Hello Experts,
I am trying to create a Primary cost component split for Products with following settings
1. Creation of Primary cost component structure "1N" and marking it as Primary cost component
2. Assigning the Primary cost elements to the Cost component structure
3. Assigning the Primary cost component structure for the Company code and Plant
4. Assigning the Primary cost component structure to "Version" under "Price calculation" tab.
5. Activity type with Activity type category "1- Manual entry, Manual allocation" and Price Indicator "1 - Plan price, automatically based on activity"
6. Activity output planning for Cost center
7. Primary cost planning for the Cost centers
8. Activity price calculation. (Update run) - Prices are changed in KP26 also
9. After all the above steps I checked report S_ALR_87013644, Plan price is existing in the report as mentioned in SAP note: 1658589
After all the above steps, I tried running Cost estimate for a product. I am getting the error message
Cost element 90001 is not assigned to a cost component
Message no. CK239
Also, I am getting a message
No structure could be determined for internal activity TEB (M0001)
Message no. CK694
Therefore the Cost component is showing only the Material component.
Where "90001" is a secondary cost element. I am not sure why system is still searching for Secondary cost element where we have assigned Primary cost component structure. I also ensured that Primary cost elements used in planning are all assigned to a Component in Cost component structure.
I checked for SAP note "1736332", which is not applicable for my system version. Current version of SAP_APPL is Release 606 and Support package SAPKH60607.
Please help. Am I missing any settings.

Hi Muneer,
Please check whether you have maintained cost center splitting structure properly and assigned to the respective cost center for which you have maintained output planning and input planning.
This splitting structure is much required because there only we maintain the relationship between primary cost elements and activities.
Coming to your first message, yes system expects maintenance of secondary cost elements also in the cost component structure which is not primary CCS.
Inorder to show primary cost component structure view:
First, system calculates the direct activity cost in terms of secondary cost elements...
Next, it verifies the cost center splitting structure you made,
Then, system is going to convert the direct activity cost in terms of primary cost elements based on the splitting structure and Finally displays the primary cost component view
I suppose second message speaking about cost center splitting structure only, please go through it carefully
Other than these whatever the process you specified is right only..

My client need equipment available time. it is [total time - total down time] how can I get the total time from system. I want to prepare the functional specifications.

You need to ask user to fix the total time .i,e. if they have three shift operation ( 8hr/shift), then total time is 24 hrs/day. then you need to ask them set breakdown indicator whenever the equipment is down. You can get this info from table for equipment.
then calculate available time =total time u2013 total down time

Costing for Utililties

Dear Gurus,
In my company I have Utilities like Power, Gas, Brine Chillilng and so on. I have maintained Activity Types for these utilities. Hence I am able to get the consumption of Utilities for the Process Orders.
Now I also want to have the generation cost of these Utilities. I have created Process Order for Power, Gas, Brine Chilling and so on.
But for this ,GR is created when doing COR6N. Is it possible to get the process costs without doing GR and without inventory being created for these Utilities.

But how to create activity type for indirect allocation.
I have created Activity Type Power to be used in the process order which i suppose is the direct activity allocation.
In KL01 i have maintained below fields for "Direct Activity Power"
ATyp category:
              1 Manual entry, manual allocation
Price indicator:
             1 Plan price, automatically based on activity
Actl Acty Type Cat:
             1   Manual entry, manual allocation
Act. price indicator:
            5   Actual price, automatically based on activity
What is to be done for Indirect Activity Allocation for "Indirect Activity Power",whether the same fields as above to be maintained.
Also Have I to execute KSII before allocation to receiving cost centers? What is the importance of KSII?

K8T Master2-FAR Bios v1.4 (9130) Help

I have the following problem
My board is a MSI K8T Master2-FAR Bios v1.4 (9130)
Property me 2x Opteron 248 bought.With this Bios when starting 2 CPU' s is indicated to me
But with Vista Ultimate and Vienna XP pro in the task manager only one CPU is indicated,
in the equipment manager however two are indicated.
Property installs already again however without success.
I have the Msi support already written down however without success.
To US support says I is to the German support to turn, that I made
Say the board is not any longer manufactured I is for my problem to the forum to turn.
Someone has a solution possibly another Bios.
I already tried these versions out
1.0, 1,1 thereby does not run the CPU' s
1.35 thereby go it are however very unstable.

ABC Indicator for Equipment & Functional Location Same or Different

We can find ABC indicators in both Equipment & Functional Location (FL) master data.
Q. Please tell me....whether these fields are different for Equipment & FL or same??
Problem is that I could see the same field name ABCKZ for both Equipment & FL in tables V_EQUI & ILOA respectively.

Equipment ABC indicator mapping

Need some help I need to fill up three fields in technical object master data which is existing.
1.     Technical object type u2013 ( like rotating , fabricated , instruments etc..)
2.     Catalog profile u2013 ( sub classification based on identified object type like pump in a rotating object type)
3.     ABC indicator u2013 ( should be identified based on established parameters like frequency of failure and repair cost)
For 1&2. Technical object type - i had used the EQUI - long text field and if any match found like pump then it was identified as rotating equipment and pump catalog profile fileds are filled up . (Any best practices for mapping similar to this approach)
Any best practices / Mapping of fields to obtain the frequency of failure (like <1 year, 1-3 year , 3-10 year) & Repair cost of technical object ( based on this ranking of ABC indicator is to be carried out)

A, B, C indicators are used to classify technical objects according certain criteria such as importance from production point of view say A- denoting those objects failure of which causes production loss & critical to the process & multiple implications in process
B - causes partial production loss
C-causes no production loss (have standby)
This indicator has to be assigned to technical object prior to transactions & you will get the failure analysis once you do transactions over a period of time. After wards you will come to know about the failure frequency & it will not follow any pattern. Hence failure to be analysed based on object class/object type/damage/cause/object part & also location & manufacturer etc.

There are some equuipments in EQUI table but i cannot see them via transactions IE02/IE03.. are they deleted.. how can i find that.. is there any deletion indicator.

I presume that you have marked the equipment for deletion and would like to take a report from the system. Whenever you mark an equiment for deletion, it is indicated by a status DLFL. The report is straightforward. Run IH08 and put DLFL in the Status Inclusive FIELD. You would get a list of equipment which has been marked for deletion. Hope this helps. Award points if found useful
