ALV export MHTML format problem

We are using List->Export->Spreadsheet->Excel(in MHTMT format) to export from ALV. This option is take very long time to export the data .However user choose Excel(in existing XXL format) it get downloaded quickly.
Does someone faced similar problem. Is this related with SAP , Network or Excel. We are using Excel 2003.

Hi Hung To,
I didn't got root cause of the problem.
When user reported this, I told him to use XXL format until this gets fixed.
Being not u2018sou2019 critical, this got delayed and last time I checked with user he switch back to MHTML format without any problem.
Because this problem was with user in remote location, I though network could have been issue, but there wasnu2019t any change in network since and everything else on useru2019s PC remains same. So I havenu2019t got a clue what could have gone wrong.
Considering this as one off problem I just left it as I couldnu2019t even regenerate the problem.
I would say check with other users if they have similar problem with MHTML format, if not than most probably its excel.
I would love to hear from others if they had this problem and solved it.

  • ALV Export to Excel problem

    Hi All
I have a problem with exporting a ALV Grid to Excel. If I add the quantity field to my Grid output the excel spreadsheet does not bring through the quantity field and it puts all the other columns one place out. I tried changing field attributes from QUAN to CHAR field and it made no difference.
I am using the standard sap functionality:
List > Save > Local File > Spreadsheet
It works fine as long as I do not include my quantity column? I have tried many other custom FM's with no luck because all of them require you to put in a internal table inside the function but I do not want to send whole internal table to spreadsheet only the ones selected in the ALV Grid. So please do not suggest function modules as I have had no luck with these!
I need to know how to use the standard sap alv export to excel function with my quantity field? The only issue I can think of that would cause a error would be that I have 50+ columns on the grid and internal table. Even If I put quantity field by itself in the grid then export to excel it brings through the Qty header but no data.

  • ALV to Excel Format problem

    Hello Freinds,
I am trying to download the o/p of ALV report into an excel sheet. But the o/p in excel sheet is distorted to some extent. Some of the headers appear in the next line even if there is no limit of rows in office 2007 which is there on my machine. This issue is not on all servers. In development and quality servers the format is correct but when the same report is downloaded from Production server, the o/p appears distorted.
Please advice as to what could be the reason !

    Hi Jazz,
You can very well do what our friend Avinash told the easier way .
But if you want it to be done programmaticlly, then plz revert with the following details
    1) Whether the file is excel (any specifications)
    2) Whether any special characters are present in the int table
    3) Whether the ALV has colour and other formats
    Thanks and Regards

  • Exporting and format problems

On my pc, I downloaded the trail version of adobe audition. I have been unable to successfully export my creation onto a cd.
I have tried everything. It simply wont allow me to export it from audition. The button doesn't work. Also, when I save it in a different format, the audio is not there.
    Thanks for the help...

Perhaps you could tell us a bit more about exactly how you're trying to burn the CD and what (if any) error messages you get.  One quick thing to mention is that Audition only does audio CDs (not data CDs) and therefore will only burn if your files are 16 bit/44.1kHz sampling/Stereo files.
Similarly, when you say "the audio is not there" what exactly do you mean?  Is there a waveform displayed that you don't hear, or is there sound but no waveform display...or just nothing?
Finally, some details of what you're using (Mac/Windows, what sound card, etc.) is always useful.

  • SSRS MHTML formatting problem when using gmail

    Hi,
I have several reports on my SSRS report server 2008 R2. All display great and subscriptions as MHTML display great too.
But when the email is viewed on gmail report display do not keep any formatting and look out of shape.
and it is fine for outllok, mozilla,IE.
please help me to resolve this issue for gmail.
    thanks.

    Hi BI_group,
From the "Browser Support" section of the
Rendering to HTML article, we can see that HTML rendering extension supports the following browser versions: Internet Explorer 5.5 and later, Firefox 1.5 and later, Safari 3.0 and later.
MHTML, short for MIME HTML, is a web page archive format used to combine resources that are typically represented by external links (such as images, Flash animations, Java applets, and audio files) with HTML code into a single file.
So, as per my understanding, the issue occurs due to the factor that the MHTML rendering format is not supported perfectly by gmail. And from
HTML Device Information Settings document, we can know that there is no such property that support gmailcompat. So we couldn’t fix this issue at this moment, this is by design.
    Thank you for your understanding.

  • ECC6: export ALV to 'Excel (in MHTML format)

We have just upgraded to ECC6. When I try to export ALV to 'Excel (in MHTML format) I get a runtime error (GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED). My list has 2 quantity fields. Tracing the error in the dump, i notice there is failure when processing quantity fields when the following SAP Standard method is called.
       >173      when if_salv_bs_c_data=>reffieldtype_quan.
       >174 *... get iso value for quantity value
       >           call method cl_alv_xslt_transform=>get_isonum_from_intnum
       >176             exporting
       >177               i_value    = <l_data>
       >178               i_unit     = <l_reference>
       >179               i_decimals = ls_attribute-s_dfies-decimals
       >180             importing
       >181               e_value    = l_isovalue.
I have tried a few tricks with the FIELDCATALOG function without success. Does anyone know how I can overcome this.
    Regards.

    Hi.
The quantity fields are coming from a table structure. I have tried making then character in the fieldcatalogue function but the runtime error was not eliminated.

  • Send/export the background job spool in Excel (in MHTML format) in ECC 6.0.

    Hello All,
I have a requirement to send/export the background job spool in Excel (in MHTML format) in ECC 6.0. Please help.
    Thank you.
    Nalini

    Hi Jigar,
    Thanks for your response.
Anything is like download to desktop or email is fine. But in MHTML format.
We can download the ALV report in MHTML spreadsheet format when we run the program online. But the program is running for long time and going to dump.
So i scheduled it as background job and downloading the output in  .HTML format. But user wants the spool/report output in .MHTML spreadsheet format.
I can write the code. Instead of changing the existing program I would like to know is there any way (from standard SAP) that I can get the background spool in MHTML spreadsheet format.
    Thanks,
    Nalini

  • Format problem when export to RTF

    Hi,
Iam creating a RTF template, when export to pdf everything working fine. However, when i export to RTF(word) alot of document properties got lost such as :
font size default to 12 when it's blank line; page number are not re-start for multi sections; table properties not holding, header, footer and edge margin are not holding, etc...... Is there any way to fix these. I tried to create a word macro to fix some of the format problems, but the macro have to run manually instead of initialized form a text field option on exit. Any idea on how to fix or work around would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Tam

Do you know if and when Pages will provide support for tables in rtf format? (My school requires that I send all assignments rtf format.)
As Yvan points out, no one here can write what they know about it, and the vast majority of us know nothing about it.
You cannot take any decision based on the assumption that Pages will one day support tables in RTFs, because it may never happen. If you need both RTF and tables, the only option is another tool (like NeoOffice, TextEdit, MS Office and so on).

  • Music slightly out of sync when exporting in Premiere CS6, format problem?

Hi guys, i have a quick question.
I edited together a promo for a local band and everything is perfect in the sequence as far as being on point with the music at certain beats and such. However when I export it the music is slightly out of sync, which is bad when you edited everything specificly to the song. I am not using ANY audio from the footage but instead layed a music track over everything. I'm not sure what else to do, could it be a format problem? I am using h.264 (see below), but would AVI or anything else work better? any help is appreciated thank you!
I am exporting directly from inside Premiere CS6 using a custom H.264 preset. 24fps, VBR 2 pass encoding. Target 7MB, Max 11MB. (with render at maxium bit depth, and render at highest quaility selected.)
I put the audio settings to high, 320kbs AAC format.
I use a custom built PC with an i7-3770K, 32 GB RAM, and I exported to a 120GB SSD.
Any other info you need just ask.any types for uploading to vimeo so it doesn't get out of sync there? thank you in advance!
Also, any types for uploading to vimeo so it doesn't get out of sync there? thank you in advance!

    Hi,
I dont think that you will really get a problem while exporting in any of the given formats. But i would really like to check if the audio layer is exactly same as of the video. for eg - if my audio is 00:05:30 and my video is 00:05:20 , we might face issue with the sync.
We can try to put more black video to make it a match with the audio and then try to export.
Where do you have the media files , on a internal drive like c: or desktop? In case not , try to move the media files to desktop and then try to export.
Also instead of exporting the files to your 120GB SSD , try to export it on the desktop.
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks

  • Mhtml web archieve format problem in gmail

    Hello all
i have created a subscription which is sending a report as an email in mhtml web archive format because i wanted it to use in body  instead of attachment to web mail user..
Format displays in outlook and yahoo mail too.
    only problem in gmail ??
    what is the issue?
    Help must appreciated ..
    Dilip Patil..

    Hi Dilip Patil,
According to your description, you configured subscription to send email to users with mhtml format, the format works fine in outlook and yahoo mail, but you have problem in gmail.
Which version of Internet Explorer (IE) does the issue happen with? If it is not IE9, please upgrade to IE9. If it is IE9, please check the issue in Compatibility View mode.
If the issue persists, this should be a compatibility issue between MHTML and Gmail. As per my understanding, the issue occurs due to the factor that the MHTML rendering format is not supported perfectly by gmail. From
    HTML Device Information Settings
document, we can know that there is no such property that support gmail. So we couldn’t fix this issue at this moment, this is by design. I recommend that you contact Google support to work on the MTHML format issue in web version of Gmail.
If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.

  • Save Grid Alv as Local File Problem

    Hi,
The Alv output via REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY, when i export ALV to local file as Excel some cells are converted the value.
    Ex.
06MAY51   " display as char on ALV, there is no problem, this value of a plaque of a vehicle
06.May.51   " display as date on Excel, converts char to date, and the value is displaying as 06.05.1951 (date)
i dont know this convertion happens.
    can somebody help me please?
    best regards
Edited by: Rob Burbank on Jun 7, 2011 3:56 PM

    Hi,
i opened the excel file in notepad and i saw the values are not converted. 06MAY51
and i created a blank excel file then i entered this value into a blank cell then i saw the values are converted by the excel.
so i think there is no problem in SAP.
the another way is to display ALV as Excel in SAP using Excel button on ALV then save the Excel, but if the ALV have too much values, it is not working. it is waiting too much. it is trying to compile the ALV to Excel format.
    Thanks

  • Alv report Print out Problem

Eg.  Unit value - 'LE' , AFTER USING CONVERSION EXIT LOGIC it is converted into 'AU'  which is finally displayed in the Alv -Report display format.
while taking Print-out of that report , that field Unit Value 'AU' is Shown in this format  "****'.
Please give me your Valuable Suggestions.

while defining filed catalog define the data type also
      clear l_fieldcat.
      l_fieldcat-fieldname  = 'MEINS'.
      l_fieldcat-datatype = 'UNIT'.
    l_fieldcat-no_out     = ' '.
      l_fieldcat-do_sum = 'X'.
      l_fieldcat-seltext_l  = 'UOM'.
      append l_fieldcat to p_fieldtab.

Does "The problem is pdf which created from CR XI is not exactly matching with Actuate pdf though in designing  side everything is perfect " mean that when you export to PDF from the CR designer it looks right?
And then from some other, unexplained process it does not?
Try describing more fully your environment and when the problem exists.
There's already a language barrier, not supplying technical information makes it even more tricky.
