    Yes .  It is mandatory to extend company code chart of accounts to CA/CR and FSCD.

    Could any one provide me more information about Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable.
    Is it possible to use Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable without CRM (Customer Relationship management)?
    Is it necessary integration with another modul (SD for example)?
    Is this functionallity suitable for our case: a company that lets (rents) land (terrains); The company (our client) have several customers (about 10) and needs information abour rent contracts (lease contracts) in SAP.

    As a result of the high number of customers and invoices, utilities companies must create a large number of payment demands. To prevent you from having to enter this mass data in general ledger accounting, sub-ledger accounting has been integrated into FI-CA: Accounts receivable and payable. Contract accounts receivable and payable is specially designed to process mass data. At certain intervals, the system transfers the cumulated individual bookings to the general ledger in Financial Accounting (FI). You can also transfer sales or service invoices from the Sales and Distribution (SD) component to contract accounts receivable and payable. The goal of contract accounts receivable and payable is to automate all processes. Manual intervention is only necessary if an agentu2019s decision is required.
    It is different from costing topics.

    I have successfully created a Sales Order using BAPI BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2. Then, I need to set value to Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable in the Sales Order Header Data (Goto -> Header -> Accounting).
    How do I do that? Can I assign a value to Contract Accounts during creation of Sales Order using BAPI BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2?

    Typically this is installed with an Industry Solution, such as Utilities or Schools, were you have thousands of customers/accounts. 
    Most places probably just use the standard AP/AR functionality.

  • Change account receivable account in a business partner

    hello
    We have a series of customers with transactions posted to the wrong account. Do you know if there is a way to change the account receivables account ? We are ready to cancel all documents and reenter them but when we do this, it still blocks the modifications.
    Any help would be welcome.

    Hi Fabrice,
    As you are aware, the A/R account cannot be changed once there is a transaction to the BP.
    One possible workaround in this scenario is -
    1. Cancel all documents relating to BP
    2. Put the BP on hold for an indefinite period.
    3. Duplicate the BP with a different code and change the A/R account.
    4. Use this new BP to key-in transactions.

    The event 4255 is specifically provided for authorization in credit calrification .
    Here you would have to define your custom flow of document , check the same with your Abaper regarding creation of a workflow for the same and using this event you would be able to trigger the same .

  • Looking for corporate or headquarter contact info ASAP

    I recently went to a local store in the area to upgrade my husbands phone (specifically January 16, 2015). My husband & I have been under my mother's account for quite some time now so i also wanted to separate our lines to our own account. While my husband was picking out his new phone, the person helping me also encouraged me to get a new phone. i explained to them that i was not due for an upgrade till next November. While convincing us to switch to their Edge plan, they also told me that if i wanted a new phone they could open up an extra line and use it for my iPad while getting a new phone to switch to my current line. So i did everything that they said, agreed to do the Edge and picked out a new phone. I made it specifically clear that i wanted insurance on the phones at the time of purchase which they told me they would take care of, besides the fact that i have been paying for insurance on my line since i've had the phone.
    About two weeks later, i had my phone stolen along with my license & money out of my bag. I called Verizon to make a claim with Assurion to get a new phone, and i was told that i did not have insurance on my phone.
    So, i headed back to the store and made sure to speak with the person who helped me when we originally got the phones. I explained to her what happened, and she agreed that she did remember me asking to put insurance on the phones and that she was almost positive she did. After waiting about 45 min., the manager of the store came out to tell me that there was no insurance on my phone. That in fact the only insurance i had, was on the new LINE that i opened, not the phone. Besides the fact that i was extremely annoyed with the customer service, now they're telling me that in order for me to get a new phone i would have to purchase it at a full price of $700.
    My issue is not only with the customer service but the fact that #1 i never even knew i could open a new line and switch the phone over until they offered it to me. #2 if they knew that i was going to switch the phone to my line, why wouldn't have they insured that line? and #3 if i had insurance on that line already, why did it stop just bc i changed my phone if according to them it is the LINE that keeps the insurance? i am extremely annoyed and appalled at how mislead we were through this whole process.
    On top of that all, i now receive a bill for $560 last week (mid-February) when i have only had the phone about a month. They did not take off the Edge discounts they were supposed to, they did not take off the 22% discount i added to my plan while i was at the store when I was approved for it, and now I'm paying for a phone that i don't even have!! Then i start getting numerous calls telling me that if i don't pay my past due balance my lines are going to be disconnected? i have been a customer with Verizon for 10+ years and have NEVER been so annoyed with any of the customer service & billing service i have gone through the passed couple days. If I had to pay the deductible for the insurance, whatever the price, i wouldn't be as annoyed but now I just want to get rid of my account all together. I have always complimented Verizon and always referred them to other people who have other carriers and i will never, ever again. I feel like I've been completely screwed and mislead 100% by these people.
    So, since nobody seems to want to help me my only choice is to contact corporate or headquarters to try and have this problem resolved. I think its ridiculous that it has even come this far and they have yet to help a long standing customer. If anyone has any information about how they can help, i would very much appreciate it! Thank you.

    I have had nearly the same issue, I was told I was getting a discount that apparently did not exist. the sales person mentioned it several times while searching for phones, and also wrote it on a rate sheet. When I asked for a bill estimate again the discount was applied. None of the discounts show up on the receipts when you sign up, not even the edge discount is shown.
    After getting my first bill with no discount I called the support line, they told me to call the store. The store manager said that the discount doesn't exist and there is nothing they can do about it. I sent a picture of the rate sheet to him and he has not responded to calls the last 2 months since. The stock answer I always get is that there is nothing that can be done, and i'm now under contact and stuck with the current plan, even though it is not what i signed on for. I have contacted the president of the region to see what can be done if anything.
    I was also given the option to return all the equipment and get a refund by the manager, but when i went to do that another manager said that it was past 14 days and i couldn't return any longer. This was 2 days after the other manager told me i could.
    Verizon should take responsibility for the sales people they employ. A mistake is a mistake but the customer shouldn't be penalized for it.

    if u create aggregates on customer dimension characteristic :the values are

    Partition wil be done based on time characteriestics.
    Both functionalities are used to improve the perfrmance of infocube.

    Hello,
    SAP Financial Accounting (FI) delivers the standard Accounts Receivable (FIAR) module to track accounts receivable transactions. This module is tightly integrated with the Sales and Distribution (SD) module to enter and process customer master data, shipping, billing, and receivables.
    As requirements became more complex and the data volume increased substantially over the last couple of years, SAP developed a module in FI for tracking A/R data. This application component is known as Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA). SAP promotes FICA as a subledger application alternative for the FI-AR module and Accounts Payables module (FI-AP).
    FI-CA was developed to deal with a large number of different customers and different types of receivables. FI-CA is mainly used in industry-specific SAP components,
    which by nature have many customers and many different receivable types. Examples industries are the public
    sector, utilities, insurance, and telecommunications.
    Even if you do not fall into one of these industry groups, you can still use contract accounting. The industry solutions for FI-CA have been available since
    1999. An industry-neutral version was introduced in 2002.
    FI-CA is not only tightly integrated with the core SAP components like FI,Controlling (CO), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and SD, it also has
    the capability to deal with customers and payments over the Internet by using SAP Biller Direct, which allows your company to use electronic bill presentment and
    payment (EBPP).
    One of the weak points of FI-CA is its limited reporting functionality. SAP expects that customers who use the FI-CA module also have Business Information Warehouse (BW) installed. The FIAR module has better and more standard reports available and it will take considerable time and effort to develop these reports in FI-CA without using BW. SAP has recognized these shortcomings and promised improved reporting capabilities in future releases.
    FI-CA incorporates more A/R functions than just processing invoices and payments and maintaining master data. These functions are necessary if you deal with a large customer base and a high volume of invoices and payments. This is the case with a utility, insurance, or
    telecommunications company or in the public sector. My description of FI-CA functionality can be a starting point for your decision process. If you determine that the described functions are necessary for your business, than FI-CA could be a valuable alternative to the standard FI-AR component.
