Always return GMT Time Zone in Bundle Image Deployment

I have application that need to get window PC time zone, when use Bundle Image Deployment (include runtime jre), it always return GMT time zone no matter which time zone I set on my PC. After I replace runtime/jre in the image folder with complete jre, then it returns time zone correctly. Is it a bug in bundle deployment?
javafx.runtime.version: 2.2.7-b01
jdk1.7.0_17
window 8 64bit
Thanks.

I am experiencing similar type of issue.  I subscribed to a Calendar which has scheduled meeting from my time zone and different time zone.  When I subscribe in OS X, it shows flawlessly on local time. But when I do it in IOS 7,  it shows MST as-is in EST time zone and no matter we play around all the time zone setting in General tab or Mail/Calendar tab.  It's not helping.
Appears to be a bug in IOS 7.  It needs to be reported to Apple.

  • GMT time zone keeps coming up

    When entering an appointment in the calendar, it automatically comes up as GMT Time Zone.  I have tried various options; gone to the Apple Store, and checked online.  Response is that it's a bug with iOS8 and a fix is coming.  Is that the case?  I believe I only started having this problem after going to the iOS8 software.

    This is a well known problem, one post has over 35 pages.  Basically it looks like an iOS problem with certain external calendar systems (Google Calendar being the most common).  Hopefully Apple will fix it some day.

  • Why are my apple calendars using GMT time zone?

    My iPhone and iPad are using the GMT time zone. Why???

    I'd like to bump this and add to it....We have a 30Mbps broadband connection with Aiport Express providing the wireless. When Apple TV is streaming Netflix, all other devices are virtually useless. I test each device on speedtest.net and they are all now 1-2Mbps and less, often stalling out. HOWEVER, if I stream Netflix on my wirelessly connected Mac Mini, all other devices consistently test at 22Mbps+. What is going on? I'm tempted to toss my Apple TV. Any time someone uses the Apple TV, the internet slows to a crawl, AirPlay stutters and stops, etc. Shut off Apple TV and we can simultaneously stream Netflix, etc. on 5 devices and the internet runs smooth. It makes no sense why Apple TV is doing this but I have tested it and 100% of the time, Apple TV is the culprit.

  • JDKs in weblogic server return wrong time zone

    Hi , i am running weblogic server 8.1.4, 8.1.6 and 10 on my windows vista
    all of the JDK bundled (both Sun's and JRockit) return GMT instead of my local time zone when i call Timezone.getDefault()
    I am quite sure the operating system has set to correct time zone because my self installed JDK (downloaded from sun) works properly (return correct local time zone)
    is that i have missed anything?
    please help.

    I am noticing the same problem with iCal events imported from Orbitz. The thing is that the more I look into it the more I think this is meant as a feature, not a bug. Go into iCal preferences > Advanced and uncheck "Turn on time zone support". Import the event again and this time both the graphic view and the Get Info view will display the same information.
    It appears that this setting is meant to be useful if you travel to different time zones a lot. Basically, with it you get a time zone dropdown menu in iCal. So when you are in a different time zone you can select it from the dropdown and it will show what time your events occur in your new local time. Just keep in mind that when you create a new event it will be created based on the time zone you have selected. So if you are in California and have selected that time zone but you are adding an entry for a meeting you have when you are back in New York make sure that you select the correct time zone when creating that meeting because by default it will be created in California time and when you return to New York and switch your calendar back it will show the event at the wrong time.

  • ICal events stuck on GMT time zone on 10.7.5

    I have mac OS X 10.7.5. When I download an invite from Evite, or TripIt. The items comes to my iPhone in the correct timezone, but not on my iMac. My iMac defaults to GMT. i have updated the preferecens, added time zone support, and it still loads in GMT. How do I fix this?  iCal is version 5.0.3.  I think the issue only comes when I download invitations from others.

    First since your iMac is running OS 10.7.5, you have an Intel-based iMac, and yu posted this thread in a forum for PowerPC (pre-Intel-Based) iMacs.  So you might not get many responses.
    I have one suggestion, and I'm not sure it will help, but try this and see if it helps.
    Open your System Preferences.  Clcik on Date and Time, make sure you have the correct time zone setting, the click the open lock in the bottom leftof the window, to lock the settings from being changed.  To open the lock later, you'll need totype in your system password.
    I doubt this the actual correct fix for your problem, but it might help in the mean time.
    Good luck.

  • Iphone 5C setting appointments in GMT time zone, not my time zone

    Why is my iPhone 5C now recording my calendar appointments in GMT time, not my time zone. I started happening a few weeks ago. I just updated the iOS to version 8.1.2 and it is still happening. Any suggestions?

  • Getting today's date in GMT time zone

    Hi,
    I have a simple question, but am confused how to do it:
    I need the current GMT date (as a Date object) ..how do I do it?
    Date date = new Date();
    This returns the current date but according to the timezone of the system time & not GMT.
    Using SimpleDateFormat comes close but it returns as a String object:
    SimpleDateFormat dateFormat = new SimpleDateFormat("some format");
    dateFormat.setTimeZone(new SimpleTimeZone(0, "GMT"));
    Date date = new Date();
    String dateAsString = dateFormat.format(date);
    This gets the current GMT date but as a String object, but I want it as a Date object.
    Can you please throw some light on this? I guess there should be simple way to do it or am overlooking something.
    Thanks!

    I don't think Calendar is useful here.
    "Current date as GMT" is meaningless. Current date (and time) is just "now." Timezone is not part of the picture. If you want to present the current date/time in GMT, then....
    Date date = new Date();
    DateFormat df = new SimpleDateFormat("yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm z");
    System.out.println(df.format(date));
    df.setTimeZone(TimeZone.getTimeZone("GMT"));
    System.out.println(df.format(date));

  • Does System.currentTimeMillis() always return correct time?

    Can i rely on it for performance testing?

    It gets the time from the computer the application is running on. I can think of at least three things that will change this time:
    1. A user (or another program) changes the time.
    2. Your operating system changes the time automatically when daylight savings time starts or ends.
    3. NTP (Network Time Protocol) is running on your computer and adjusts the time to match the time on some other computer;.

  • Time zone in message monitoring (GMT)

    Hi all -
    as I understand, all messages in XI are saved with timestamps within GMT time zone.
    This results in having a possible mismatch between displays in Adapter Engine (e.g., message monitoring) and Integration Engine (e.g., SXMB_MONI), the letter using the correct system time zone / personal time zone.
    Is there any way to avoid GMT display in message monitoring?
    Thanks,
    Stefan

    Dear Stefan,
    I had encountered a similar issue with discrepancy in time between Adapter engine and the integration engine.
    Solution:I checked the user profile settings in SU01 and changed the default setting ( Personal and System time) to have the time I needed.
    The IE takes the Personal time / system time, however AE takes only the system time. So you have to make sure both the values are defined correctly for the effect to take place and then the AE and IE display time will be in sync. AE does not look into the personal time. So define the system time correctly and Personal time would be mandatory as IE looks for it.
    Let me know if you need clarification.
    Thanks.

  • Location Services: Setting Time Zone... Always Active

    Just wondering if anybody else is experiencing the always active SETTING TIME ZONE setting in LOCATION SERVICES / SYSTEM SERVICES.
    It's always purple - never stops polling for location.
    I've noticed a change in the battery life for my iPhone 4 and I think this is the culprit.
    Is that setting needed for anything in particular or can it safely be turned off?
    Thanks for any advice you have!

    Grrrrrr, now (after the iOS 5.0.1 update), this is happening not only on my iPad, but also on my iPhone 4S, which never had the problem on iOS 5.0.  So, instead of going from 1 to 0 devices having the problem, I've gone from 1 to 2 after the update!  Isn't this the opposite of what was supposed to happen?
    Letting the iPhone sleep for a while, shutting it off and turning it back on, resetting it with home+power, all do nothing.  Weirdly, it *wasn't* doing this right after I did the update; it only started about a day or so later.
    ****Update: and now it's off again, but it did come on for about 10 minutes and then turned off again.  Hmmmmm. I agree that having the status bar icon enabled is a good idea, to at least be able to see when this happens and disable it if you're in a situation where battery life matters.

  • Time Zone in Portugal

    It seems this is an old issue and it's incredible how Apple didn't correct it yet. When setting the time zone for Portugal in icloud it says Portugal is in Central European Time (GMT). WRONG! Portugal is in the same time zone as the UK and Ireland. I guess Apple thnks this is a minor issue and Portugal doesn't buy that much devices for Apple to care correcting a very old bug. This causes problems synchro with Outlook for example and I don't want to activate time zone management just because of this. Does Apple have a place to report bugs?
    BTW, can't add the image as said above. The insert image option is not active....and the file is small sized. and it's a jpg. and i'm using ie8... Sad

    Any suggestions??
    How did you try to correct the time, Victoria? Don't use "Metadata > Adjust date and time" (unless you already used it - then you need to revert that change), but use "Metadata > Batch change > Adjust Time Zone". The problem is, that when image files do not contain a Time Zone stamp, Aperture will by default use the current system time your mac is set to as the time zone of the images on import. Usually you will set the "Camera Time" and "Actual Time" in the Import panel, to tell Aperzur ethe correct time zones. Only that is not possible, if you are importing images taken in several time zones at the same time.
    You cannot batch change all the time zones of all images at once, if the camera time zones differ - it is really a bit involved. I had similar problems with my camera and iPad, when we were travelling in Aslaska and Canada this summer and were frequently changing the Time Zones - sometimes two times a day. The iPad with automatic time zone setting was very problemitic, because I never could be sure of the time zone on the iPad - if there was no Wi-F,i it would use Canadian Time on Alaska ictures and vica versa.
    Separate your photos into albums with images that you are sure have been taken with the same camera (iPhone, Canon) and with the same time zone setting in the camera.
    Then, e.g., select the album with all photos taken on the iPhone, with the Time Zone set on the iPhone to "Portugal" and use Metadata > Batch change > Adjust Time Zone" with the setting "Camera Time is Portugal" (since your camera was set to Portugal, when the photos have been taken)
    To prevent this kind of problem, I always keep all camera times set to UTC. This way I always exactly know the time the camera was set set, when I import the image and do not have to remember to change the time when travelling. Only, that is not feasable with iPhone and iPad. If you want to use your iPhone as a clock and not only as a camera, it is impractical to have it set to UTC.

  • How to change Final Cut Server's time zone?

    Hello all:
    Is there a way to change Final Cut Server's time zone? It seems the software uses the GMT time zone as its reference. Therefore, whenever it runs on a computer located in another time zone, it still uses the GMT based timestamp.
    So, for example, as my time zone is GMT less 3 hours, my FCSvr is always stamping the time as 3 hours in advance. Sometimes, this is really annoying.
    My best regards,
    JP.

    I tried resetting Mac OS X's time zone directly in the terminal. Didn't work. After trying several times to set up another time zone, FCSvr suddenly was able to work with the PST time zone.
    I was able to have a workaround by setting GMT (or PST) as my time zone, turning off the automatic date&time setting and manually setting the time, all at the date&time System Preferences.
    Anyway, I don't think this is a "best practices" procedure, as FCSvr should be able to work normally with the server machine's time.
    Any insights on this will be highly appreciated.
    JP.

  • Create events over multiple time zones

    Hello again,
    How do I create events over multiple time zones? For instance, a plane leaves on GMT time zone and lands on GMT+5.
    If iCal doesn't allow this, what is your suggested approach in this case?
    Thanks in advance!

    You're right, iCal doesn't allow this.
    I just add the abbreviation for the timezone at the end of the title. For example: "AA Flight 407 - CDT", keeping in mind that the block of time for that event showing in iCal is always in that time zone.
    It's not ideal, but it works for me.

  • Time zone support help: how do I enter an event and have it keep that time regardless of time zone?

    I consistently enter events in one time zone, because that is just easier. I would prefer it KEEP them as entered, not revise them as I travel. IE, I live overseas and constantly travel. It is very difficult to keep track of my schedule if I must always calculate the time zones when entering or viewing events. How do I set it up to leave them as entered, even as I travel, without changing the ipAd clock to stay in one time zone?

    Hi karlsf!
    It sounds like you may need to adjust your time zone support settings. An article about doing this can be found here:
