Am I billed for periods where there are no events?
Assume I have a dev/test scenario where there are long periods of time when I'm not actively testing my code. If I have running jobs waiting for input and there are no events, am I billed for that time?
There are two meters for which your Stream Analytics gets billed [1]
(1) Data ingressed by your streaming job
(2) CPU memory used by the running job

So if you are not sending any events you will not be billed for (1) but you will still be billed for (2) since you have a streaming job that is allocated and running.
You will have to STOP your job in order to avoid getting billed at all

Fix typo in error string for situations where there are advanced messaging configuration settings from LCDS used in the configuration files but no AdvancedMessagingSupport service. The error string said that there was no flex.messaging.services.AdvancedMessagingService registered but it is the flex.messaging.services.AdvancedMessagingSupport service that needs to be registered.
Add configuration test that starts the server with a destination that has the reliable property set which is an advanced messaging feature but there is no AdvancedMessagingSupport service registered.

Unfortunately I already tried all kinds of re-installs (the full list is in my original message). The only one remaining is the reinstall of Windows 8 itself, which I would really like to avoid.
What I find really strange is the time it takes for the above error message to appear. It's like one hour or even more (never measured exactly, I left the computer running).
What kind of a timeout is that? I would expect that, if ports are really used by some other application, I get the message in less than a minute (seconds, actually). To me this looks like the emulator itself for some reason believes there's a problem with
some port while in reality there isn't.
I'll eventually contact Microsoft Support, thanks for the suggestion.

I cannot find this 300GB "Backup" in the Finder, only in the Storage info when I check "About This Mac".
You are probably using Time Machine to backup your MacBook Pro, right? Then the additional 300 GB could be local Time Machine snapshots. Time Machine will write the hourly backups to the free space on your hard disk, if the backup drive is temporarily not connected. You do not see these local backups in the Finder, and MacOS will delete them, when you make a regular backup to Time Machine, or when you need the space for other data.

I have restarted my computer, but the information remains the same. How do I reclaim the use of the 300GB? Why is it showing up as "Backups" when it used to indicate "Photos"? Are my photos safe on the external drive?
You have tested the library on the external drive, and so your photos are save there.
The local TimeMachine snapshot probably now contains a backup of the moved library. Try, if connecting your Time Machine drive will reduce the size of your local Time Machine snapshots. -
I have a new iPhone 6 plus and all is OK. But the mail shows more than 400 'unread' messages whereas there are none in the mailbox or trash or anywhere else I have looked. I can send and receive with no problem. I'm sure I have no unread messages.

Get only the rows where there are no matches in the tables
To include in the results of a join with no matching rows, you can use a full outer join. In MS SQL Server provides the FULL OUTER JOIN operator, which allows you to include all rows from both tables, regardless of the presence or absence of values.
You can add a WHERE clause in a FULL OUTER JOIN to get only the rows where there are no matches in the tables. The following query returns only those products for which there are no matches in the sales order.
SELECT p1.Name, p2.SalesOrderID
FROM TAB1 p1
FULL OUTER JOIN TAB2 p2
ON p1.ProductID = p2.ProductID
WHERE p1.ProductID IS NULL

FULL OUTER JOIN is not supported in ABAP. How can you solve this?

I've read where there are issues with the Nest and Airport Extreme (AE)? Is AE used in the Time Capsule?
If so, i already have a wi-fi router, so can the Time Capsule simply be used for wireless backup instead of as a router if there is conflict?A TC is fundamentally a AE with a sata chip included to drive the hard disk. Some slightly different bios to include disk functions, although most of those are also on the AE. So as a router it is 99.999% identical.
And yes, if you have another router you can easily bridge the TC and use wireless for backups and internet connection. Once you no longer route through the TC the issues with most NAT problems including port forwarding should disappear.. mostly this is due to all apple routers using NAT-PMP instead of upnp which is the near universal standard for opening ports.. without upnp apple keep their routers more exclusive. -

There are no known viruses for OS X. If you have to worry about a website putting some malware on your computer, then you should not visit it any longer. Find a legitimate site.

Mine has four Seriously shauntana the splitter is easy, a simple click to changre feed and eventually you will damage the HDMI port or cable by taking it in and out. True you can only use one feed at a time nut you can only use one port on the telly at one time too. I used it on my old one port telly for PS3 and Sky and it worked a treat.

'There are no events to show' error on the iOS BT ...
Hi all,
Some of you may have seen this error message 'there are no events to show' when using the BT Sport app via an Apple device. If you have, please follow the advice below to fix it.
1) Go into your device’s settings;
2) Change the clock time to 24 hours, and the time on your device time zone to “automatic”;
3) Log out of the app and log back in (note, you do not need to uninstall/re-install the app);
4) The app will then start to work, provided you have enough WIFI signal.
If you do not have enough WI-FI signal, you can use 3G (which is subject to your network’s charges), but you need to remember to activate the streaming content by choosing “General enable mobile streaming” in the app, otherwise 3G won’t work.

What kind of triggering did you want for the mic input on your PDA? did you want to start acquiring when someone starts speaking, or something along those lines? If that's the case, then what you could do is continually call the SI Read.vi and poll to see if the voltage changes by a certain amount. Then, when that happens, do any processing that you need to.

I used Finder to organise my iMovie events into folders. In iMovie I can see the folders but the software says there are no events in the folders. What can I do to rectify?
Very carefully use Finder to move the Events back to the top level of the Movies/iMovie Events folder. iMovie will not see them if they are nested in Folders.
If they are on an external drive, move them to the iMovie Events folder at the top level of the drive.
However, you can put iMovie projects in folders if you want.
It is best to do all moves and renames in iMovie so you do not destroy the links in your Projects. However, you need to move your events back to where they were in the Finder sonce iMovie cannot see them. -
Where there are standard template or schema for cube/dimention/measure

since i should create many dimentions, cubes and measures, i want to know whether there are some standard template or schemas for them so that i can buildup some xml file and import into data warehouse.

The other "programmatic" option is use DBMS_CUBE.IMPORT_XML and then provide your own XML to create:
(1). dimensions, attributes, hierarchies and all the mappings
(2). cubes, stored measures and all the mappings
(3). Calculated measures
Create your AW and some dimensions and a cube inside it, using AWM.
Then take the XML of the each dimension and each cube, and look at it in editor (like notepad).
You will get some idea what XML tags are used, and then (if you like) you can create new dimensions and cubes by writing your own XML.
Search this forum for keyword "XML", and you will see lot of postings.

Dear All HANA Studio Experts,
I'm using SAP HANA Studio Version: 1.0.68 in our current landscape and looking for a expert and intelligent solution for a problem that we have encountered recently.
We have created multiple AT views, AN views and created CA views on top of these AN views to cater different LOB related to our organization. We have also designed BO universe on top of the CA views from HANA and finally created webi reports out of these universes.
In a particular scenario, we have one AT view which is been used by 10 different AN views.
Now we had 3 Requirements like below:
1. To add a new field in this AT view,
2. To update an existing field in this AT view and
3. To remove a field from this AT view which is not required anymore.
Problems Encountered:
Req 1. When we added a new field (e.g. XX_ADD) in the AT view and activate it, its throwing warning that there are dependent objects on this AT view. However no error thrown and it leads to re-work to check if this new field is available in all those dependent views and re-deployed those all.
Question: How to ensure if this addition of object will not impact the rest of the dependent views?
Req 2. When we updated an existing field (e.g. XX_UPDATE_NEW) in the AT view and activate it, its throwing warning that there are dependent objects on this AT view. However the BO reports built on top of these different dependent AN views became inoperative.
Question: How to ensure if we need to update the name of an existing object it will not impact the rest of the dependent AN views?
Req 3. Finally we have removed one object from the existing fields as it is not required. Again we faced warnings that there are dependent AN views on this AT view.
Question: How to ensure if we need to delete an existing object, it will automatically reflect in all dependent AN views?
Please suggest, if it is a good practice to create separate AT,AN and CA views for each of the LOB's and avoiding any dependent views (hence gradually the total no. of logical objects will be increase) or to reuse the AT/AN views whenever possible and in case of any updation/deletion we need to do a huge rework to check and redeploy the dependent objects again and again?

1) Adding a new Field in the AT View and after activating the view. Then you have to Refresh/Check out the dependent views to see if it is reflecting.
2) We cannot update the existing field in the AT view i.e like name change if it is being already used in joins in any of the dependent views. It will not allow you to activate
3) To remove the field which is not being used any where, we can make the changes in AT View and Refresh/Check out to see if the dependent views are reflecting the change
