Documents not posted to cost center

Hi,
The documents are posted into sap from third party system through interface.
And in the transaction OKB9 (default account assignment), cost center is assigned to the particular GL account.
The FI document displays that particular GL account contains cost center, but there is no posting happened for Cost center while I check in the transaction KSB1.
Could anyone let me know why this happens? Do I need to make any settings in sap or the changes should happen in the interface?

Hi,
Cost Element is assigned to the Cost Center in the transaction OKB9.
If I post a document manually into the system, it is being posted both in FI and CO. But when the document is posted into system through Interface, cost center is displayed in FI document but no postings in the cost center.
When we compare FI and CO balances, we found mismatch of the values.
Could anyone provide me some suggestions to analyze and solve this issue.

    My company is going to upgrade our SAP ERP system from version 4.6C to ECC5.
    In version 4.6C, when a Purchase Order (PO) is created and assigned to:
    (1) project wbs element
    (2) asset
    Upon GRS, the following accounting documents are normally posted:
    (1) Accounting document
    (2) Profit center doc.
    (3) Spec. purpose ledger
    (4) Asset transaction
    (5) Cost accounting doc.
    Following, if I want to view the Actual Cost line items posted for the project wbs element in mind, I am able to view the details via transaction CJ74.
    However, in ECC5, simulating the same scenario as described earlier, i.e. a Purchase Order (PO) is created and assigned to:
    (1) project wbs element
    (2) asset
    Upon GRS, the following accounting document is NOT posted:
    (1)Cost accounting doc.
    (which in ECC5 is termed Controlling Document)
    As a result, I am unable to track the Actual Cost line item of the wbs element via transaction CJ74.
    This is because in normal instances, a corresponding CO document posted for the FI document posted upon GRS. What I understand is that CJ74, pulls data from CO tables and because CO tables aren't updated, I can't view this statistical cost postings.
    I would appreciate if anyone could advise the following:
    (1) Why this occurs in ECC5
    (2) How to rectify the problem

  • Internal order posting vs cost center

    I have a requirement like this; in our company we have allowed the posting to be made only through internal orders no
    direct cost center postings are allowed. Is there any report to carry out a comparison between internal order posting and cost center postings? I just want to check the transaction which directly posted to cost center instead of internal order.

    Hi,
    Do you want to trace postings which were done only on cost centres without I/O? You can go to KSB1 and select the line where Auxiliary account assignment is blank - this will mean that these lines were posted only to cost centre.
    Also, if your I/O are real one, you can select in KSB1 postigns with '4' value type, which will mean that the posting on cost centre is real and not statistical; therefore, no postings on I/O happened.

  • Statistical Posting on cost center

    Hi,
    I use FB70 for revenue posting. My true cost object is Profitability segment wherein I capture Cost center as well as Profit center.
    I have two problems with this.
    1) In simulation, i am not able to see cost center in any of the view
    2) I am not able to see statistical posting in cost center report i.e. S_alr_87013611
    I used to see statistical posting in cost center in previous period but now in current period i am not able to see the posting.
    IN COPA, these figures are captured correctly i.e. I can see the figures in Cost centers when chossed in nevigation in COPA reports.
    Please guide as to how this can be solved?

    Hi Makrand,
    the report S_ALR_87013612 only shows 'Real' postings and does not show type 11 (Statistical) in the Standard.
    Therefore I assume you have modified the report by adding value type 11 to the column definition. But changes in
    standard reports will be overwritten by upgrades or by copy from client 000. So check the column definiton
    of the report 1SOP-001 in GRR2.
    If you want to carry out changes to standard reports (or standard libraries, and so on) we recommend you create a copy
    of the standard report (or standard library, and so on) and carry out the changes only in the copy.
    If, for a particular reason, you want to carry out changes to standard libraries or standard variables, and these changes are not to be overwritten by an automatic copy from Client 000, then follow the steps described in note 534389.

    using KEOA1 wont work in this situation as it looks like the cost center accounting is not active in your controling area.
    so go to OKKP and activate the cost centre accounting for your controling area and then try again

    U can get the posting results employee wise details and posted wage types using a standard Program....
    Go To Transaction Code " SA38"
    Give the program as : -
    " RPCIP_DOCUMENT_ANALYSE "
    Give the Posted Document.
    Check Select details with Pers. NO
    For giving Payroll Area has selection.
    Select tab " Selection of Run attributes"
    u can give payroll area here. and In period here
    and also since the posting date would be fixed ....u can use that field also....
    GL Account u can get.........
    The fields are the same that you are getting in the layout.....u can select all the fields for display....
    Using tab " Selection for Account assignment "
    u can again filter the data....

  • Wrong posting to Cost center

    Hi,
    Our customer made wrong posting to cost center from 05-07-2008 to 17-07-2008. They want to correct it now, so what is the solution for this.
    The wrong posting is because of wrongly defined in activity type for quantities. Instead of 1pc they have defined 10000pcs.

  • PM Order Confirmation create actual posting in Cost Center, with CE type 43

    Dear Expert,
    I would like to know the business flow of Plant Maintenance that impacts cost center reporting.
    During PM order confirmation, it will create an actual posting in Cost Center from Cost Center Reporting (No FI posting), say CC Operation, with Cost Element type: 43, which is attached with the activity type of Labor Cost assigned the the PM module.
    Example: Cost Center: CC Operation, Cost Element: 840001 (CE type: 43), Amount: USD 100- (negative sign)
    My Question:
    How does this posting (currently is in controlling only) in cost center Operation with Cost Element type: 43 be reflected in my FI reporting?
    Let say there is an FI posting of labor cost in CC Operation, amount USD 100, then from Cost Center Reporting, it actually offset both amounts, and this cost center become 0 in amount.
    Kindly advise the concept of Plant Maintenance.
    This seems like same with the concept of KB21N.

    +10 for Order and -10 for cost center A
    After PM Order settlement:
    -10 for Order and +10 for cost center A
    From the cost center and PM Order CO report, they are 0 in value ...
    Is this the correct way?

  • Extended Payment Order with status 51 Application document not posted in IHC

    Dear Gurus,
    We are make an extended payment order (PAYEXT), through the transaction F110, and then when we want to see the IDOC (by Tx. WE02) we have the following error in the Inbound IDOC´s:
    IDoc: 0000000002179110 Status: Application document not posted
    Error Message: A transaction type could not be (uniquely) determined - IHC 0308
    We enter a payment method and payment method supplement in the proposal on F110.
    I don´t know whats the reason of the error. I hope you can help me please.

    I make the following steps to get the error:
    1. I´ve created the invoice through FB60, on the company CO05.
    2. IThen I pay the invoice by F110, (I´m attaching the log of the payment).
    3. When I want to check by WE02 the IDOC the system generate the error message: a transaction type could not be determine. (I´m attaching the error message)

    Issue:
    CRM Billing documents not posting to FI.
    We idenfied while debugging in middleware we identified that, Billing document header data doesn't contain value for  "Component for RW interface"(COMPO_ACC).
    Where we need to maintain/configure value for this field in CRM/ECC, please provide me details.

    Is this a case of data migration to new GL.
    FAGL_SPLINFO is the table which gets updated for the split information at the time of document posting. If its from migration, please check that the referred RV document is an open item and was migrated correctly.

    HI ALL,
    In one of the my client having one issue for particular one material ,FI document not posted ,while issue the goods to shop floor 201 movement type & same document we cancelled ,but FI document posted. Same cancellation document again cancelled.
    How do we post / Release the same 201 Movement type material documet to FI. Due this my valuation agaisnt GL is inconsistency in MB5L AND MB5B report. Could u please help.

    Hi,
    the following things have to be concidered for your issue
    1. FI Document is not generated if the price of material is ZERO
    2. check whether during the movement type 261 the material price is ZERO or not
    3. Check whether during the cancellation of that document the material price is changed some how?
    i my opinion during the 261 for that material that material price was Zero and no FI Document was generated and during the cancellation of that document that material has got some price so the FI Document was generated

    Hi experts
    iam working on File-IDOC scenario, when i test the process the XML message is created with no errors and
    but the IDOC is created with status 51( application document not posted)
    the details error shows:
    An error occurred in CALL TRANSACTION USING or CALL DIALOG USING
    during a synchronous update.
    The error was caused by the transaction VA01.
    previously i used same test data that time it was working fine,
    please tell me how can i fix the issue.

    Key in your Idoc number in BD87, execute
    select the error message and then follow the menu path :
    EDIT --> restrict and process  (Select)
    In the next screen UNCHECK the Bkgd Processing and execute
    Now EDIT --> Process --> foreground from error or in foreground mode.
    This will lead you the screen where it errored out.

    i checked with WE07 it's shows the error as follows
    "Application document not posted".

    Hi Hari,
    You start error processing by executing the corresponding work items in your Business Workplace. If a file read error could be corrected, for example, the IDocs which have not yet been read can be read and stored in the database manually, by starting report program RSEINB00.
    This could be the reason for ur error..
    IDoc could not be generated under MC
    EDIN: Evaluates the partner data from the MC record

    No process code in the additional partner profile MC parameters; Error when writing the application data in the IDoc.

  • F4 help is not available for cost center in Confirmation

    We are working on SRM 4.0
    During the Confirmation of services through WEB portal   ( F4 ) option is not available for Cost Center
    Through GUI ( Backend) we are able to see the Values in Drop down , but when we select them un able to copy them to Confirmation screen.
    Through Web front end F4 help also not appearing.
    We have applied the OSS Note 935201 in spite of which, it is not working
    please give me inputs on it.
