Amature mac user dilemma: my login "not available"????

Hi:
I was working on word last nigh typing a paper and everytime i went to retrive another doc. from somewhere, the computer would close the finder window, safari, and word. I restarted my computer and when it came back on, it came up to the login screen (I didn't set up my computer that way) and i try to log in with my account password and it says that "The user account 'Tyler' is not available"
I can change my passoword for my account on that screen using filevault but I cannot login.
Also, I am not sure if it makes a differance but the computer defaults came on that screen (mouse tracking, key speed etc...)
Thanks for all the help,
Tyler
PS I have papers, music, photos on there...can I save my HD?

Thanks for replying...
Well we have three macs in the house. A powerbook, an imac G5, and my mini. As far as I know it is self contained. The only thing I have done with connecting into the network has been creating a drop box on the imac because it is connected to our printer, and so I can send files up to the kitchen without having to save them.
That was one of the problems I was having the other night, connecting to the imac I mean, before the mini went haywire...
Thanks, Tyler

  • "Manage User Data" option is not available in browser.

    HI Experts,
I am trying to create a user for my organization using one documentation available with me in SRM from web browser.
It says that we have to select "Manage Business Data" in the launch pad, but my problem is that,This option is not available in the web browser when i login.
Kindly let me know the roles requires for the same.
Also any settings need to be done in SICF to run it successfully.
    Thanks In Advance.

The wordings in the Document is "Manage User Data" and not "Manage Employee Data",
I know that its completely on roles thats why i have given that user almost all the roles which i am aware.
Here is the list of it.
    SAP_BBP_STAL_ADMINISTRATOR
    SAP_BBP_STAL_EMPLOYEE
    SAP_BBP_STAL_MANAGER
    SAP_BBP_STAL_OPERAT_PURCHASER
    SAP_BBP_STAL_PURCHASER
    SAP_BBP_STAL_STRAT_PURCHASER
    SAP_EC_BBP_EMPLOYEE
    SAP_EC_BBP_MANAGER
    SAP_EC_BBP_RECIPIENT
    SAP_EC_BBP_SECRETARY
In fact there are many other roles which is given but this option is not visible.

  • Lync 2011 for Mac - "sign in failed, service not available"

I can't sign on to Lync 2011 for Mac at all. I'm running OS X 10.7.2, Lync 14.0.1 (so yes, I've installed the patch) and regardless of what else I do I get the message:
"Sign in to Microsoft Lync failed because the service is not available or you may not be connected to the internet."
Obviously I'm connected to the internet, I've checked the firewall settings and the 3 other troubleshooting articles on the Mac Lync site.  I've deleted the "unknown" certificate from Keychain that some people talked about being the source of their
issues, but no luck.  What's going on here?

    Hi amoss,
    Any update?
It may due to Root CA is not trusted.
You should trust the correct Root CA in the Keychain Access on your Mac machine.
    In addition, provide this

  • Local user got deactivated - login not possible

    Hi all,
I have a Macbook using an user assigned to a domain and two local users also which are not assigned to that domain. I never had any issues so far and also assigned all three users as administrators.
Just now after I have used the domain user and wanted to logon to one of the local users, the password has not been accepted and a message stated that the user gots deactivated and I should contact the system administrator. I tried also the other local user and the same message appears.
I tried several things like disconnect from any network, removed the domain at the user settings, restarted several times but nothing helped. What is also very odd is that the checkbox for the quick user change is deactivated and cannot be checked.
Anyone had this also and knows a fix for this?
The system runs Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.
    Thanks!

Once you are in the web browser:
You can log in by using:
-Portal URL.System will ask you email as ID
-URL that directs you to ITS( is an URL that contains the string BBPSTART).System will ask you your user ID, PW and  client.
My point is to check if ITS is working and portal not.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Novell login not available with remote desktop on windows 7

Installed Novell Client 2 SP3 for Windows Server 2012 on my terminal server. When I log in from Windows XP to that terminal server I am getting an option to login with Novell Client. On Windows 7 however I only can logon to the server. What am I missing here?

Microsoft's Network Level Authentication (NLA) feature is supported in
Windows Server 2008 and later terminal servers, and supported by
Remote Desktop Connection (MSTSC) 6.x and later terminal clients.
Windows XP did not ship with a MSTSC 6.x terminal client, but it is
    available optionally through Windows Update.
The NLA authentication is essentially requiring that valid Windows
user account credentials for the Windows Server machine must be
provided /before/ the RDP-level terminal session connection is even
attempted or permitted. If the Windows user credentials you're logged
in with on the client workstation do not already satisfy this
requirement, the NLA-aware MSTSC clients will prompt you for valid NLA
credentials before even attempting to open the terminal session.
In other words, NLA doesn't directly have anything to do with whom you
will become authenticated as within the terminal session, or whether
you'll reconnect to some other already-running terminal session; it's
a new default mechanism which requires Windows credentials for
authorizing you to create an RDP connection to the Windows Server
    machine "at all."
Unfortunately Windows Server 2008 and later don't permit you to turn
NLA completely off. You can configure the Windows Server to always
require NLA, which means pre-MSTSC 6.x terminal clients will be unable
to connect. Or you can configure the Windows Server to "not require
NLA" ("Allow connections from computers running any version or Remote
Desktop"), but this still means Windows Server will use NLA if the
    workstation's MSTSC client supports NLA.
The only option which has been available to "disable NLA" even when a
Windows Server 2008 or later terminal server and a MSTSC 6.x or later
terminal client are involved is to configure the
"enablecredsspsupport:i:0" setting in the MSTSC client's .RDP file
(e.g. default.rdp in the My Documents folder), in addition to
configuring the terminal server to "not require NLA."
Once you have "Allow connections from computers running any version or
Remote Desktop" set on the Windows Server, and
"enablecredsspsupport:i:0" set in the MSTSC client, now you're back to
the Windows XP & Windows Server 2003 behavior where an RDP terminal
connection can be established without first having to supply NLA
credentials, and the first thing the MSTSC client user will experience
is the full normal credential provider-based login experience just
like you see at the physical console of the terminal server.
Note that if you do leave NLA enabled and supply NLA credentials
during the MSTSC connection attempt, after successfully using those
credentials to authorize creation of the RDP connection, the MSTSC
client will /also/ default to using the NLA credentials as default
credentials to attempt logging on with within the terminal session
itself. In other words, if you successfully supply NLA credentials,
by default you also become logged in on the terminal session and go
straight to the desktop of the Windows user account specified in the
NLA credentials. So even though "NLA credentials" and "whom I will
logon as within the terminal session" are two separate things, by
default the MSTSC client tries to use the same credentials for both.
But it's not that the NLA credentials "must" be used for logging in on
the terminal session; that's simply the default behavior. If you
leave NLA enabled on the Server 2008 or later terminal server, after
NLA credentials are successfully used to authorize creation of an RDP
connection, if you wanted to instead be prompted within the terminal
session with the normal credential provider login experience, enable
the "Always prompt for password" on the Windows Server 2008 or later
    terminal server.
(On the Server 2008 or later machine, under "Administrative Tools"
find the "Remote Desktop Services" group and launch the "Remote
Desktop Session Host Configuration" console. Highlight/select the
"RDP-Tcp" connection, right-click and select "Properties". On the "Log
On Settings" tab elect "Always prompt for password".)
That sounds like probably the scenario which fits best for the "I have
    a Macintosh-based client which doesn't allow enablecredsspsupport:i:0
/ authentication level:i:0." You would leave NLA enabled on the
Server 2012 machine, but enable "Always prompt for password" in the
RPC-Tcp connection properties on the Server 2012 machine. Such that
after NLA authentication was performed and Windows allowed creation of
the terminal session, instead of immediately also attempting to login
within the terminal session as the Windows account specified in the
NLA credentials, Windows will instead present the normal interactive
credential provider login experience to allow the user to specify whom
    they want to login as.
Finally, note that everything described above applies even to a
Windows Server and Windows client workstation that do /not/ have the
Novell Client for Windows installed. The same mechanisms remain in
effect even once the Novell Client is installed; the presence of the
Novell Client just changes what credential providers would be used or
presented within the terminal session once the terminal session was
allowed to be created. The fact that NLA is required by default and
requires valid Windows credentials in order to authorize an RDP
connection is still the same, regardless of whether the Novell Client
    is present or not.

Hey there, Ihave the latest firmware update on my Apple TV 2. I have Lion with latest updates installed.
I have home sharing turned on in iTunes 10 no issues their
Network is set up as such.. Apple TV hardwired with Ethernet Cable, MAC where iTunes resides is WiFi on a dual band wireless N network. No dropped connections, network showing in perfect connected status.. All other home networking functions working perfectly. No wireless or ethernet disruptions.
Apple TV works perfect for about one hour then all of a sudden stops and says home sharing is turned off.. but it's not. Double checked iTunes on the MAC, home sharing still set up no issues. I restart iTunes.. does not help, reboot MAC does not help. Reset Apple TV doesn't help.
About an hour later, home sharing shows up in Apple TV again..
Anyone else experience this? Any thoughts as to why Home Sharing on the Apple TV stops by itself when no changes are occuring?

If you can't get AOL to talk you thru it, then it's time to stop using AOL.

There is no guarantee you don't have a problem with your mail setup on your computer, but this is the right time for you to set up your [email protected] accounts, download all your AOL mail including your address book (FROM AOL'S WEBISTE via Safari) to your hard drive, make sure you are using an external drive with Time Machine and doing daily if not hourly backups, and start sending emails to your friends and family and business from the new mail account(s).

  • ME28 user exit - sy-ucomm not available

    Hi experts,
I have a requirement to check sy-ucomm in the user exit EXIT_SAPLEBND_002 which is triggered by transaction ME28 - convert a planned order to purchase requisition. Immediately after pressing the release button for the purchase document the SY-UCOMM value is '%_GC 102 2'.
When the program control reaches the user-exit, SY-UCOMM is already cleared. Analysing the flow shows it is cleared by the method,
CL_GUI_CFW=>DISPATCH. This is totally the ALV way of handling things. The ALV control passes on to call the function module BAPI_PO_RELEASE which inturn calls the user exit.
The question is?? How to get the SY_UCOMM in the user exit. Has any one has ever experienced this before. Your answers are much appreciated.

    Ok Guys
Sorry for my ignorance. But i think that i don't udesrtand correctly .sorry.
1-you go to ME28 and do your process (click)
2-this process pass by exit .
3-I dont understand the ALV  in this case.
Can you send images of screens with process ?
I think maybe you could use assign but i need know more about it.
    thanks and sorry again.

  • Mac OS X Midi services not available?!

    Er...
About 5 mins ago Logic 8 was running perfectly. Then (as the studio I work for wants me running 7) I opened it once again for the first time in a few months (after deleting the application and reinstalling it) it started to validate my plugins, but gave me an error on Atmosphere (which I removed post Omnisphere upgrade) and I got an error saying that Logic had encountered an possible conflict with Midi audio drivers.
I just reopened Logic 8 and I've been told that Mac OS X Midi Services are unavailable - and when I opened AMS it's told me that it is Unable to Launch MIDI server!
I cannot think what it bleeps name has just happened?!

    What "it"? Logic 7?
once again for the first time in a few months (after deleting the application and reinstalling it) it started to validate my plugins, but gave me an error on Atmosphere (which I removed post Omnisphere upgrade) and I got an error saying that Logic had encountered an possible conflict with Midi audio drivers.
    Still 7, all this, right?
I just reopened Logic 8 and I've been told that Mac OS X Midi Services are unavailable - and when I opened AMS it's told me that it is Unable to Launch MIDI server!
So Logic 7 'took' it? Did you quit L7?
    Have you rebooted the Mac?
I cannot think what it bleeps name has just happened?!
If you had 7 open while launching 8, I'ld say 7 still had some sort of software-'hold' on the systems' coreMIDI or Midi services app. If you force-quit L7 the same could apply. If so, restarting your Mac should fix it.
The problem probably has to do with the double install. There was a reason for deleting and reinstalling in the first place, right?

  • Urgent!!!!!! Mac os  and recovery option not available in boot option

    Hello all,
I installed windows 8 pro in my Mac using boot camp. It worked fine. I made my boot priority to windows. Then one day I shrinked my windows partition drive to another drive. Then I extended back to normal. But when I restated my pc, it won't load to windows. And when I press the option key, only "windows"partition appear. No "Mac os " no "recovery" only "windows" option. I tried to open terminal using command+s but no luck how can I boot to Mac?
Waiting for it to be solved..
    Thanks

You can't do that, Re-Partition the drive, Shrink/Expand, or anything after you install Windows. you have FUBARed the complete system.
You'll need to boot to the Online Internet Recovery system. At startup hold down the Command+r keys until you see a spinning globe in the center of the screen, have the system WIRED to your internet Router, Ethernet cable.
If the Command+r keys don't work try Command+Option/Alt+r keys. Again hold them down until you see a spinning globe in the center of the screen.
Form that you will need to Re-Partition the drive as ONE (1) Partition and then reinstall Mac OS X. Once that is done then you will need to Reinstall Windows and then all your programs for both OSs and hopefully you have a backup of all your data files.'
Good Luck and Best Wishes. Happy Holiday and Happy Festivus for the rest of us.
