Android-Studio 1.1.0 Crashes

Hi all,
I hope I post this into the correct section.
I have installed android-studio through aur and getting some serious problems.
Android Studio crashes nearly every five minutes, making it impossible to work with it.
I have run it with Open JDK 8 and Oracle JDK 7 & 8, the error occurs with all versions.
This is the error message I get

I already had tried 'arch-java fix', Android-Studion invalidate caches, but neither of it worked.

As long as they both have the same frame rate, there shouldn't be any issues. As soon as you start mixing frame rates (23.98, 29.97, 59.94, 25), then issue can arise.

I would recommend going with the 2.0 Beta SDK since you are working with Android Studio. The changes from 1.1.5 to 2.0 are documented at http://azure.microsoft.com/blog/2014/08/04/futures-support-and-breaking-changes-in-azure-mobile-services-android-sdk/ and http://azure.microsoft.com/blog/2014/08/07/offline-support-in-azure-mobile-services-android-sdk/ (offline

Device Not Found error message in Android Studio

I am interested in learning Android device programming and have downloaded and installed Android Studio. When I run the first tutorial and the "Hello World" program I want to use my Droid Turbo as the debugging device but Android Studio does not find the device. This is all new to me so any assistance is appreciated.

Hello and thank you for posting on the HP support forums. So that I can better help you here with this hard drive issue . Can you explain what diagnostic you ran on the hard drive.
Did you run the diagnostics from the BIOS?

If you have attempted the diagnostics from the BIOS and are not finding the Hard drive. See if you can find the hard drive in another computer. If you can not find it using another computer replace the drive. If you can and it is not located on your notebook then you have a possible issue with the motherboard.
First thing I would do is try and restore your BIOS first.

After attempting this and you still can not find the Hard drive and you can see it in another system please contact HP phone support for repair options.

Makepkg Android Studio fails

Hello there I run into the following error upon running 'makepkg -s' on the android-studio package from AUR

uncommented

then went to the android studio folder where PKGBUILD exist and ran
makepkg -s

How to manage source for mobile app build by android studio,Git or team explorer?

Hi,We use TFS 2013 for source control ,now we want to start mobile app using "android studio",
How could control source of that project,How we can have features of "tfs source control" on that type of project such a mobile app that uses "android studio".
I know we can integrate git or using command in team explorer but what is the differences and how to decide each one is better?

Hi Bahar,
As far as I know, you cannot have your code under source contorl of TFS when work on the mobile app that uses "Android studio". You cannot use Android Studio to connect to TFS hence it's unavailable for your requirement.
If your use Ecliplse, you might integrate with Team Explorer Everywhere and connect to your on-premise TFS.

Android Studio SDK Manager Won't Start

I download the newest version of Android Studio from Google. You know there's something wrong to install it from AUR in China.
But when I click the SDK Manager button in Android Studio, the Manager does not start.
And then I go to the "android-studio/sdk/tools/" folder to run "./android"
$ ./android

Importing MPEG2's causes DVD studio pro 4 to crash

everytime I attempt to import an mpeg 2 into a studio pro project it crashes the program however other files like quicktimes, AIFF etc. import fine. I have tried trashing preferences and re-installing DVD studio pro to no avail. pls help!

Did you get to the latest pro app file?
If so, go into your library/receipts folder, and delete the proapp package in there, then re-run the installer for the latest file to make sure it gets installed fully.

If this still doesn't work, have a look through the Console logs to see if any clue is given as to why you are having this crash. If you find anything suspicious, post it here...

Visual Studio 2013 slows down + crashes when using Source Control features.

I have spent two full days trying to resolve this issue but no luck so here we go,
I have created a project using Visual Studio Team Foundation Server plug-in in the past. Later on I switched to
Microsoft Git Provider.
Now when I connect to that project in the Team Explorer and double click on the solution to work on it locally it somehow changes the plug in to Microsoft Git Provider automatically and of course I can't
Commit/Commit and Push since I receive following error in the Team Explorer,
An error occurred. Detailed message: Failed to open directory 'C:/Users/.../AppData/Local/Application Data/'
Manually changing the plug-in to the Visual Studio Team Foundation Server
results in a broken Team Explorer as below,
With Settings leading to an empty pane, and also a warning in the Team Explorer's Changes page telling me the message below if I click on Pending Changes...
Microsoft Git Provider is not the current Source Control plug-in. Change Plug-in
And manually selecting the solution from Solution Explorer, right click and
Add Solution to Source Control, leads to never ending hour glass and (Not responding) visual studio.
New Projects
Creating a new project is straight forward, unless I "Add to Source Control" is checked. If so, again never ending process if Microsoft TFS plug-in is selected in the tools and eventually me Ending the Visual Studio task. And a VERY long process
(40+ mins) if I have chosen Microsoft Git but that finishes successfully rather.
New TFS project from Team Explorer
If I create a new project in my Online Web Studio
Click on Open with Visual Studio Link => Opens and connects to a my newly created TFS in team explorer.
Clicking new in Team Explorer under Solutions to create a new solution and bind it to this Repo
leads to straight crash of Visual Studio and restarting attempt of VS.
So I really can't use Source Control from visual studio other than cloning GitHub's existing repo's on Visual Studio and Committing my current Microsoft Git managed projects.
I have attempted
Repairing Visual Studio (no luck in results)
Devenv.exe /setup (no luck)
Trying to scrap the SCC info on my solution then at least it won't get picked up by source control then I can Check it in as a new project. (no luck and the solution picks the Microsoft Git upon opening it by clicking on the .sln file.) I have followed
these steps in this stack overflow answer.
And lots of mucking around like removing my workspaces almost Thousand times and putting them back, binding and etc.
I am really stuck on this and it's holding me back from staring a new project (which is problematic using Adding to Source Control) and unfortunately is dependent on the old project (which is developed under Visual Studio Team Foundation Server Plug-in which
is throwing tantrums)

Based on the description, seems you're working with Git team project in Visual Studio Online(formerly Team Foundation Service). I'd like to know whether you mean Visual Studio Git command tool as the plug-in, and if you're trying to create solutions/projects
with Visual Studio and add them to the created Git team project.
From the screenshot, you're not connect to the Git team project by using Team Explorer. To work with Git team project locally, you can follow the instructions as below:
Connect to Git team project by using Team Explorer, after that you might install Git tools if you connect to the team project for the first time
Clone the remote Git repository to a local git repository and set the path to local git repository
Create a solution and select Git source control, also saved to the local path of the local git repository
Select your branch, and then click "Changes" and Commit the changes
Click "unsynced commits" and push the commit to remote git repository

IDVD and DVD Studio Pro hang and crash since 10.5.6 update

Seems like there are a lot of problems since this 10.5.6 update... I came here b/c of a prob with iDVD and DVD Studio Pro not working anymore. Was just trying to "Share/Export" an iMovie project to iDVD (and then tried again with DVD Studio Pro) and the program just hung and crashed and also wouldn't let me Restart or Shutdown very easily either. What gives?

Visual Studio (2012 / 2013 etc) crash on updating VSO / TFS bug on check-in

I'm posting about this bug today after triggering it no less than 5 times in a row (because of my bad habit to press Ctrl-S often) each time losing my check-in comments and having to start again after restarting VS2013.
Simple to reproduce, all you need to do is open a bug in Visual Studio, make a change to the bug outside of VS (e.g. by associating it with the build) then saving the bug. Crash.
For example:
Open project with pending changes
From Team Explorer - Open Work Items / Open Bugs (or any view containing items)
From Team Explorer - Open Pending Changes
Drag and drop any bug to the "Related Work Items" section below comments
Write a comment
Hit Ctrl-S
Crash.
Also trying to update the bug / item itself after checking in (e.g. to close the item) will cause this.
This bug has been around for at least the last two major version, can someone please fix it? (Save me throwing another mouse through the monitor :])

Base on steps that you provided, I made a test in VS2013 update 2 with TFS 2013 update 3 and VSO, it works fine.
So, I think the issue is in your VS or environment. Please refer to these steps below to narrow down this issue and deal with it.
Create a new user account and run VS, then do the test, if it works fine, I think there are something wrong with your profile and you could create a new account and copy current user info to it.
Check your OS with some tools, such as
Sfc /scannow
If your environment is OK, let’s check your VS.
Use
devenv /log to gather log and check the error form log file.
Try other commands to fix, such as devenv.exe /safemode, devenv.exe
/resetskippkgs, devenv.exe /installvstemplates, devenv.exe
/resetsettings, devenv.exe /resetuserdata
The devenv.exe tool is located under your VS location/Common7/IDE.
If the issue still exists, please repair or update your VS.
On the other hand, the issue of the bug has been around for at least the last two major version, which is related to TFS, I suggest that you should open a new thread in TFS forum.

Visual Studio Authoring Extensions - MPSimulator crashes

I am using Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 and VSAE to develop custom MPs but can't get past the MP Simulator as it crashes saying it can't find the Azure MP 1.1.238.0 .mp file. I have added a MPB reference to the Azure MP 1.1.238.0. I have tried on my local
machine with the SCOM Agent installed, A colleagues machine with the agent installed and even tried running Visual Studio from the secondary management server?

Firefox for Android v34 and v35 are crashing immediately on second opening in Samsung KNOX 2.0 and above.

Within a proof of concept situation we figured out that only freshly installed Firefox versions (v34 and v35) are running fine in a Samsung KNOX container. We are running Android 4.4.2 with KNOX 2.1 on a Samsung S5 device. We are using MobileIron 7.5 for provisioning the devices and configuring the container.
The behavior is as follows:
1. Open KNOX container
2. Open Firefox within the container
3. Everything works fine without any problems (expected behavior). Intranet and Internet sites can be opened without any limitations.
4. Close Firefox completely (by multitasking screen)
5. Open Firefox again
6. Firefox crashes without any error message
After setting Firefox to factory settings by deleting all app data (with "System Info for Android" App because the "original" app setting is not available within the container) Firefox behaves like described under 3.
Unfortunately I do only have adb logs because the original Firefox logs can't be exported via USB out of the KNOX container as far as I know. If you have any ideas I would be really thankful for any advice. "about:crashes" can't be used as well because Firefox can't be opened after the first crash and has to be reset (including deleting all logs) by setting it to default.
Outside the KNOX container Firefox works well.
It seems that all KNOX 2.0 and above versions show the same behavior with Firefox which means that Firefox can't be used in a KNOX 2.x container.
We already opened a case at Samsung as well.

FCP HD STUDIO Malfunctions After HD Crash and New HD Install

OK Pro's! I know that someone out there has had something like this happen. My PM G5's original internal Hard Drive crashed and with the help of the Apple Tech @ repair unit got most of my Programs only recovered. I decided to install new 500 MB HD in unit too. Used Migration assistant to move files. Now Final cut runs like road kill. Often hangs up and frequently have to force quit. Of course I could use iMovie but why when FCP Studio 5 HD is on system and does it all better (used to at least).
Any hints, helps, clues, and knowledgeable guidance is welcomed.

Yes, that's what I'm recommending for you.
Insert your Tiger install dsioc in the SuperDrive, double-click on the install icon, and when the installer reboots and begins, click through until you reach the Installation Type screen, then click on the Options button. Select Erase & Install and go for it.
Then, after the installer finishes, update to v10.4.6 again, repair permissions in Disk Utility at every step. Then reinstall your apps, update them, and repair permissions at every step.
Should be Good to Go.
At the end of this, you'll have a huge 500GB Scratch Disk that will be very fast and reliable. Use your firewire drives for archiving media & projects.

DVD Studio Pro 2.05 Crashes on Tiger (10.4.11)

Is DVD Studio Pro 2.05 compatible with Tiger (10.4.11)? DSP-2.05 crashes when reopening a project or when running the Simulator.

Hi,
I installed DSP-2 on my G4 (AGP graphics) running Tiger (10.4.11) and runs fine (albeit slower).
It must be a hardware issue between the G5 and G4.

On my Android Phone the firefox module crashes everytime now, after 8 sec. no matter if i open it from my menue or try to open links in webpages. Any solution?

any kind of attempt to open web pages and read or do any thing fails within seconds.

Does it open long enough to gather the crash reports that might be on the page about:crashes?
IF so please submit these and copy the reports with bp- in your response for further troubleshooting.
If not, any extra information is helpful, do you have any addons or apps , are you using etc?
Have you reinstalled and still get the same crash?
