Android touch list

I am looking for a good list control for an Android app.  I was wondering if it is possible to use a native extension to open a native Android list or if anyone has developed a list control that is optimized for touch.  I am using Flash CS5.5 but using ADT to built the application so a native extension will work well.

Take a look at this page:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_Android_devices
Of that very long list of devices, only ten support multi-touch at all, and only three of those are tablets. I tracked down info on those, and all three do support 10 touch points.
So, if you put the app into the Android Marketplace, and you can set that the requirements are that the device is a tablet and it has multi-touch, you ought to be ok. But I wouldn't do that if I were you! Instead, just make it for iPad, and in the time it would take to worry about dealing with all the Android devices that don't quite work, you could have programmed another few apps, that perhaps use less fingers.

I cannot find my IPOD touch listed on ITunes (there is no "Device" menu option in iTunes- any advice?). Using IPOD touch (32gb) and connecting with a laptop using Windows Vista. Downloaded the latest ITunes and it wiped all my music. I was able to recover the music purchased on Itunes (but not my CD downloads). I am having difficulty syncing my IPOD now and all of the help guides tell me that I need to use the "device" options to fix it but there is no "Device" options in my ITunes ribbon.

Just the old fashioned way, like if you lost your wallet.
    Apple will not help.
If it is in your home and wifi is on and connected you can call it with FaceTime, Skype or other app that will play a notification sound and listen for it.
Report to police and change the passwords for all account used on the iPod

  • ICal, Touch, List view and Day view limitations

It seems a recent software update now imposes a limit of six items on my iPod Touch Calendar when using the Day view. I distinctly remember this not being the case very recently. In order to see more than six all-day listings I have to use List view, which I don't like as much. Can anybody verify this change and suggest a work-around? I've tried a reset but no luck. thanks...

Seems strange that it's been removed when, with the increased convergence of OS X and iOS, it's a view that available in the Calendar app in iOS.
Like others here, this was the most useful view for me and I'm disappointed it's not there, hope it comes back with the Yosemite .1 release.
    Unfortunately it hasn't .

  • IPod Touch listed device in iTunes, but no option to sync

I am having a problem syncing my 4th gen iPod Touch with iTunes on a Windows Vista Ultimate PC.  Here are the symptoms of my issue:
I have connected the iPod Touch with its USB adapter to the PC.
The iPod shows as a connected Portable Device in Computer in Windows.
    The iPod charges while connected.
When I connect the iPod to the PC, iTunes opens automatically.  The iPod is listed under "Devices" in iTunes, but when I click on the device, the screen just shows an iPod logo.  I do not see the tabs ("Summary", "Apps", "Music", "Movies", etc.) and no summary information about the iPod is displayed.
When I right-click on the iPod under Devices, the only menu option is "Eject".  In addition, the "File" menu options "Sync Songs on iPod" and "Transfer Purchases from iPod" are greyed out/not available.
I have tried using a different USB port, powering off the iPod, restarting the computer, and checking that the iPod shows as functioning in Device Manager in Windows.
I have the latest version of iTunes (10.4.0.80)
I have synced three other iPods successfully to this PC with this version of iTunes (each iPod, including the one with which I am having the problem, syncs to iTunes on a separate Windows User account to keep the libraries separate).  Therefore, I don't believe there is a problem with my installation of iTunes.
Given this background, does anyone have any ideas how I can get this iPod to sync with iTunes?  Thank you in advance for any advice you might be able to give me.
    Regards-
    BPT

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Manage Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

Why not?  Additionally, my device's version is ios 6.1.6 and says it is currently updated but periodically, when I try to install "apps" updates, the screen freezes during some updates and says "Unable to download app at this time."  Tonight my device says there are updates needed, but it won't even go to the update screen.  I am so confused. Hello,
I have to test it, but seems like it is almost the only reference to this issue.
I have also found few other things related to this link:

  • Music is not recognized in ipod touch, listed as "other"

    Hi everyone,
I have an ipod Touch, gen 2 (I know, it's an oldie!). Today was the first time I had synced it up to my computer in a long time. The software was way out of date. So much so that my itunes didn't recognize the Touch. It suggested that I restore it, and I did. During this time, it also updated the software onto the Touch. However, I have tried to sync the Touch up to the computer at least 4 times today. Each time, it takes about 1 hour to sync up (I have about 18 gb of music), and each time, when I disconnect the Touch, it says "no music" on the screen. If I try to sync it again, it lists the music on the device as "other," then informs me that I don't have enough free space to sync.
I have read on various forums that a "restore" will fix my problem, however I have restored, as well as completely wiped my touch, and then used a backup copy of my touch saved on the computer.
Is there anything that I can do? This is quite frustrating for me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks so much,
    YinYinW911

    Welcome to the discussions,
make sure you transferred your purchases which includes apps and bought media from the iTunes Store. After that your media content on your computer should be the same as on your ipod.
After that restore the ipod "as new ipod" and don't use the backup to get your settings and data back, there might be corrupt data inside that backup causing your problems.
After restoring, set up your items to sync manually and do the same with your mail account etc.

  • Touch list album song in album art view

I have gotten all of my albums to be catagorized by album artist and album name, except for one. The album artist shows fine(The Eagles) the second line in the album art view is a song (Busy being fabulous) this is the third song on the first disk. The the next line is the ablum name (Long Road Out of Eden (Disk 1). The listing under the album art looks like this:
    The Eagles
    Busy being fabulous
Long Road Out Of Eden (Disk 1)
How do I get the song name out of there? Disk two of the same album shows perfectly fine with no song name in between. All of my other albums show fine also. When I select all of the songs from the album and go to Get Info the song name shows no where.

See my previous post on Grouping Tracks Into Albums, in particular the topics Use an album friendly view and One album, too many covers. In this case it sounds like you may need to enable the *Group Compilations* option and/or ensure the tracks are marked as Part of a Compilation.

When setting up the phone the only options for countries on this phone are non-English speaking.
Is it possible to add at least one English speaking country?
    Or preferrably a few?
I'm wondering if incorrectly setting the region creates any problems?

  • TS4006 How many ipods can be on find my iphone app or in the list

My daughter lost her ipod touch.  I had it listed on Find My iPhone.  So, I had my iPhone, and two iPod Touches listed.  It was showing offline and we cannot locate it.  I had an extra iPod touch not being used.  So, I registered it to my iTunes account and added it.  If I go under my Apple Support Profile, it does show that I have 1 iPhone and 3 iPod Touches now.  However, it no longer shows the one that is lost on my Find My iPod app or when I log onto iCloud.  It is almost like the one I added over wrote the one that was lost.  If I go onto My Support Profile page, I can see all of the iPod Touches registered under my account.  I just wanted to keep that on on my Find My iPod, because it is lost.  I am hoping it turns up, but if anyone tries to use it now, I cannot track it's location.  Can someone please give me any feed back on this?  Thank you!!

    See:
iCloud: Troubleshooting Find My iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac
    Likely that either:
    - The iPod is not connected to the internet. That could be due to the iPod not being within range of of a wifi network that the iPod has connected to before. Because of this fact the Find feature is not that useful for an iPod since it does not have a cellular connection like iPhones. Or the battery could be dead too.
    - The iPod has been erased/restore for use or to be resold

  • Wow the new firmware has made a mess of my Touch, Creative please resp

Okay, first I find out that some of my music is missing track number tags and is now listed in alpabetical order. Next, Media Source doesnt detect my Touch at all, so I have no easy way to fix my tags. So I have to move the music off my player, tag it all again, delete it from my Zen (because just overwriting doesnt work), then upload the newly tagged music to my Touch. But it gets even better. Alot of my folders in the Media Explorer contain random files names and some songs are in different album folders.
    http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/b/MrCookie989/****youcreative.jpg
This is the album by The Who "Li've at Leeds", which does NOT show up on my Touch even though it is there. Notice that some tracks have the right filename (summertime blues, fortune teller), but some tracks that have filenames from artists like MC Chris (geek) or are from the Castlevania SOTN soundtrack (Awakend Soul). These are in fact all the songs for The Who "Li've at Leeds"...BUT THEY DONT HAVE ANYWHERE NEAR THE RIGHT TAGS! Needless to say, Im just a bit mad that this has happened to my music.
So, Creative, please tell me there is something I can do to fix this other than going through all of my 30+ gigs of music. If there isnt anything I can do, then Creative will never recieve my business again, and I have bought several players from them over the years, But this is outrageous.

I wish I could help you here, but wanted to ask you how your Touch listed tracks without a track tag in correct order before the firmware update? Mine did not do this before or after--listed anything without a track tag in alphabetical order. I have to assume you had to reload all your music after the firmware? I thought this was necessary as the player erased itself during the upgrade. Is it possible the tracks on your player were previously OK, but somehow the ones in your computer library got changed? This has happened to me. I really don't use MediaSource much at all, but Windows Media Player 0 has that "feature" where it will "correct tag info" from the internet. I found this kept changing my tags, sometimes to wrong info. I turned that "feature" off, as it was driving me crazy having WMP undo all my manual corrections all the time. When I rip a CD, I manually tell WMP to get the info from the internet. One of the crazy things was the "album artist" tag in WMP, which the Zen sees as "artist". I have many albums where the WMP database (forget which online one they use--Gracenote?) sees a whole bunch of "album artists" for one album by the same group. This really screws up the "artist" menu on a Zen Touch--you can't find anything! "Album" tag was OK, though, so it was fairly easy to group-select in WMP0 and retag---only to have WMP overwrite my correction shortly thereafter with the wrong info again. I wonder whether MediaSource does this, too. The reason I mention this is that there were a few times (before I figured this out) that my Zen Touch was fine and my computer library was all screwed up. If this happened to you, and you reloaded your Touch from a library with messed up tags, I can see how you would have a problem.
