Annotation Comments field in Exporting Report CUOM8.6
Hi,
In Cisco Unified Operation Manager 8.6, how can we get the Annotation comments in the Output Fields when we export the report from CUOM. Tried Pulling report from Fault Monitor Interface, however, it only gives "TRUE" for Comments added or "FALSE" no comments in the Annotation field.
In the user guide of CUOM it states that Annotation field will be available if you pull reports for History. Please find the screenshot attached.
Please help.
Regards...Navi
HI
add that fileds in the all locations where you need it like
in internal table declaration , write statement , select statement
these are the main areas where you have to add that 2 fileds

User Comment field available for reporting?
User Comment field available for reporting?
When doing custom reporting against requests with reportable dictionaries we have a user request to also include the user comments. How do I reference / point to the comments field for a request? If you are referring to the comments which are added in the Comments and History section of a requisition, this information is not migrated to the datamart and is not reportable.
If, on the other hand, you are referring to a comments field that you have included in a dictionary on the service form, that information will be available in the datamart so long as that dictionary has been made reportable. -
View whole annotations/comments field in Pages 5?
Is it possible to view the whole annotations/comments field in Pages 5? It's so annoying if you have to scroll through the annotations!!
Ditto. This is sad. The app changes and loses features. The old app was pretty nice. The new one is pretty but not nice.
What is even more pretty (as in pretty sad) is that I have to use MS Word now more often because of Pages 5.x) to get things done... minor things like identifying the author of a document.
Hard to have faith in this company and products when they leave you swinging in the breeze with half baked products that have so much potential but like raw cookie dough, can give you an upset stomach after you commit to a plate full.
Put another way, to switch to using my iPad for work I have to be able to rely on Pages on my Mac and my iPad to not leave me swinging in the breeze like this (and this is one example of many many examples).
I really don't mind paying for Pages, even out of my own pocket, but it has to live up to some minimal Pages 4 standard. -
Hi everyone,
Can you export the date and user to Excel that appears into a Comments field in a tracking list?
When i export a tracking list with a Comment field in the Content type, the screen where you enter the data for an item, the Comments field just export the text of the comment into the Excel file.
In the Comments field appears also, besides the comment text, the user and date from who and when the comment is added.
Is there a way to export also the user and the date?
Thanks
Wimcreate another comment field that doesn't use 'appending', and through SP Designer change workflow keep
updating that field with the new comments (prepend the field with date/username/new comment). Hide the field on all forms, but put it in the view you need to export to Excel.
Please refer few more links: Hope they will help

Is there any way to print the data inside the Notes field of MIR6 Report
Hello Gurús.
We need to include the data inside the Notes field in the report MIR6 - INVOICE OVERVIEW - report.
Is there any way to print the data inside (comments) the Notes field as well in the Report ?
We found that the only way is to open the Notes and print it, but it takes time, any idea ?
Rgds.
MCM.There's nothing built-in that does that. If you only have text fields and they don't have any formatting or other property that would prevent it (e.g., Date, character limit), you can run a simple script to populate each field with the field name, and then print. A more complicated approach would be a script that adds text annotations near/over each field that shows the field name. This would just be for documentation purposes, but it's possible. Post again if you'd like help with the first. You'll probably have to pay someone for the second approach if you don't want to do it yourself.

Appended Comments Fields Not displaying in Open with Access SharePoint 2013
i have a Issues List which is actively been used as a helpdesk ticketing system amongst one of the groups within my organization. Within that list we have Comments Field( Multiple Line Of text) and its set to Append changes to existing text.
One of the Office Admins uses the "Open with Access" Feature of that list to open the list in the access view and do some reporting. We are able to open the list in the Access, but Comments Field is not displaying the appended comments in that
Comments field we talked about above.
Is there something, i need to tunr on to activate that or is it not supported?
Your insights would be helpfulHi Octopus,
I understand that you want to display the Appended changes to the multiple line of text field when using "Open with Access".
Per my knowledge, the “Append change to existing text” feature is the feature of the item view.
It calls the “Comments” data from the versions and display them on the item view. It is just a “view".
The original data of the versions does not locate in the list items but in the version files.
The contents of the “Comments” column are the latest update contents of this column exist in this list.
So, the contents in the versions will not be displayed in Access when using Open with Access, even if using Export to Excel.
It is by design.
Best regards.
Thanks

Can someone help me resolve the issue. The .rpt file size is 14MB with the Data Save option enabled, 12MB without Data Save. Presumably the 12MB file size is because of the 24bit PNG we have as our background.
The Designer executes the report in less than a second and we can scroll through all pages and see the image fields perfectly.
When we Export to PDF, the Designer takes a long time, eventually gets to the 77%, the 7th record and returns "Export report failed" followed by "Memory full". If we export only page 1 of the 3 pages, it also returns a Memory full error. However, when the same report is run with only 1 page, that page exports to PDF but with a ridiculously large size and export time.
The machine has 2GB of physical memory with an 8GB pagefile with Windows 2003 (latest everything). The process runs up to about 1GB before reporting the memory full error.
We've also tried a variety of other suggestions posted in the other thread with no success.
We're happy to provide the RPT file to the Report Team to diagnose the problem. Ultimately, we need to be able to produce a 15 page report with approximately 45 images.
Our preferred scenario is fixing problem 2. The CR Designer seems quite capable of rendering our report and printing it to our third party PDF printer in a timely manner with small size. However, the API reports memory full.
The API resides in a dedicated reporting web service with NO other code except for loading the report, setting parameters and printing. When executing, it uses up to about 1.1GB before reporting the error.
Are there any other suggestions for fixing what we have? Are there known problems with large images in reports? Do we need to lodge a formal support request?
Regards, Grant.

Error exporting report with sub report and parameters
Post Author: joncombe
CA Forum: JAVA
I am using the JRC to export to a PDF file a report that has a sub report within it. Both the main and subreport connect to an Oracle database via an Oracle ODBC connection and both share a single parameter, RUN_ID. I need to set a value for the parameter in both reports. If I don't do that I get this error:-com.crystaldecisions.reports.exportinterface.exceptions.ExportException: Some parameters are missing valuesI have the following code to update the parameters in both reports. ParameterField thisParameter1 = new ParameterField ( ); ParameterField thisParameter2 = new ParameterField ( ); Values thisValue1 = new Values ( ); Values thisValue2 = new Values ( ); ParameterFieldDiscreteValue thisParamDV1= new ParameterFieldDiscreteValue(); ParameterFieldDiscreteValue thisParamDV2= new ParameterFieldDiscreteValue(); thisParameter1.setReportName(""); thisParameter2.setReportName("DQA_GER_Adressverification.rpt"); thisParameter1.setName("RUN_ID"); thisParameter2.setName("RUN_ID"); thisParameter1.setType(FieldValueType.numberField); thisParameter2.setType(FieldValueType.numberField); thisParamDV1.setValue(254); thisParamDV2.setValue(254); thisValue1.add(thisParamDV1); thisValue2.add(thisParamDV2); thisParameter1.setCurrentValues(thisValue1); thisParameter2.setCurrentValues(thisValue2); parameterFields.add(thisParameter1); parameterFields.add(thisParameter2); ReportStateInfo repStateInfo = new ReportStateInfo(); repStateInfo.setParameterFields(parameterFields); reqCont.setReportStateInfo(repStateInfo); With this code in place I have found that if I run using the JRC supplied with Crystal Reports for Eclipse I get the following error:-ERROR - QueryEngine error: verify database failed.ERROR - Disk Exporter: no output file was created by an exporterERROR - PdfExporter: caught Exception in PDFFormatter.finalizeFormatJob (from destination?); not. I am not sure why the update to set the RUN_ID in the second SQL query fails, but it seems to me the JRC is not detecting it as a missing parameter and is passing the SQL including {?RUN_ID} to Oracle, causing the JDBC driver to fail with this NullPointerException. I think this because further up in the log I see this:-INFO - Executing query: SELECT v.* FROM v_ger_main vwhere v.run_id = 254INFO - Verifying databaseINFO - Executing query: SELECT h.* FROM v_ger_av_ls_tagging hwhere h.run_id = {?RUN_ID}ERROR - QueryEngine error: verify database failed. Both connections are from the same database, but the first has the updated value (254) whilst the second query still seems to have the parameter and so fails to verify. Can someone suggest how I can fix this problem or if I have missed something that is required?Thanks.Jon.Post Author: Ted Ueda
CA Forum: JAVA
What happens if, instead of passing in parameter field values, you pass the report source object to the viewer (ReportViewerBean for stand-alone or CrystalReportViewer for web)? The viewer should introspect the report for the parameter fields and bring up a parameter field entry dialog box. Does such a dialog box come up? Is only the main report parameter field queried for, or both main and subreport paramter fields? When you enter correct values for the field, does the report display?
Hopefully, the above should narrow down the issue.
By the way, JRC doesn't support ODBC connections, only Java based connectivity such as JDBC, JavaBeans and XML. If you have a report with ODBC, then it looks for a JNDI connection with the same name.

IPhoto still won't make web pages using the comments field
I am someone who makes use of the comments field in iPhoto. I don't edit the title, because I thought it edited the photo file name (perhaps only in earlier iPhoto versions). Unfortunately, the Apple's tools for making a web page from iPhoto '08 seem to still use the title field only and not the comment field. That means that I have to edit all titles (to blank or a proper title) if I just want to show an annotation on just a few photos in a web page. At least the comments field defaults to blank, so I normally use it, along with the Better HTML plugin to make web pages, http://www.geeksrus.com/software/betterhtmlexport/
Now, the web pages produced by Apple are now as good as and even better than the BHTML templates, and I'd like to use them. But this problem with the comments means I can't quickly convert my old photo albums to something that makes nice web pages using my annotations with the iPhoto tools.
Does anybody know of any solutions to this problem? E.g. a script to copy the comments field to the title field?I know what you mean. I can't believe that after so many versions of iPhoto that have supported publishing of some sort that such a basic and obvious feature still hasn't been implemented. It can't take that much effort to add. I'd rather have that than the new (and IMHO completely useless) "Events" feature. Speaking of which, does anyone know if there is a way to turn it off? It's annoying the heck outta me. I hate it.

Error Messsage " Failed to export report" in Crystal Report v 12.2
Hi
We recently upgraded from CrystalReport Runtime from version 11.5 to 12.2 (to support windows 2008) and i am getting the following error when i try to view a report
Message: Failed to export report: ado. Error Message: This field name is not known.
Details: errorKind
Error in File rpt_adTranscriptUnofficial {B8D43610-89C0-48E2-93AD-D2212C1CA1B2}.rpt:
Error in formula TermLength:
'ToText({ado.IsRegularTerm}) & "-" & ToText(DateDiff ("d", {ado.termStart} , {ado.termEnd}))
This report works fine in 11.5 version so i know that there is no problem with the report /data source etc.
I found this defect "ADAPT01313677" and it says that this was fixed in Fix pack 2.3 , I installed Fixpack 2.3 and that did not solve the issue , I have upgraded to Fix pack 2.5 and i am still getting the same error message.
The report is being called from a Web Application ( i have a binch of reports that work fine ) and when i remove this formula and delete all references to this the report works fine.
I would appreciate any help.Hi
This is what i see when i open the dependency walker
Error: At least one required implicit or forwarded dependency was not found.
Warning: At least one delay-load dependency module was not found.
Warning: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in a delay-load dependent module.
the message says the following files are missing
MSVCR80.DLL
IESHIMS.DLL
WER.DLL
I installed the VC ++ Runtime installer before installing the Drivers.
The strange thing is that i see the same error on the development machine (where i have installed the designer)
I did not try registering the DLL manually because this is part of the setup that will be delivered to clients and we will not be able to do that . I tried installing on another machine and got the same error. -
SSRS Report : Editable Textbox in footer to add Comments before printing the report
Hello,
I have created few SSRS reports and now in the footer of all the reports, there is a requirement to put the Editable Text so that Client can put comments about explaining the Reports and then export it.
Is there anyway we can have Editable Textbox in the footer?
Any other control I can use here?
Thank you,
Mittal.Hi ,
there is no direct approach for the same but you can try workaround .
You can try below link;

Read the buffer in screen fields of the report program.
Hi all,
I have 2 screen fields in a report program. I need to do some process based on the entry in the 1 st field.
But i need press 'enter' after making an entry in the 1st field. I want to read the field dynamically. I was able to find a function module to do it 'DYNP_VALUES_READ'. In this one of the import attribute is the dyname. I give the field name of the 1st field as per its defined in the selection parameter of th report program. And when exectued the function module returns invalid dyprofield.
kindly advise on what should be the dyproname for selection parameter.
Thanks And Regards
Ravishhi ravi,
just execute the code and try to know where u r getting error in ur code .
in this just give the input as USD(us dollar)
substitute for dynname = sy-cprog in ur code and check that .
hope this helps u out .
