Anonymous and Logged in User

Problem statement : As anonymous user, i placed an order. Now when i create a profile using the registration process, i can see the order placed as anonymous in my profile. It seems this is the ATG OOB behaviour but we do not require this. We don't want any orders to be migrated while creating a new user. How can we ensure that once user is created, the profile Id is different to that of the one used during anonymous session.
Any pointers or directions will be of help.

Override ProfileFormhandler component in your module and set the value as 'true' for createNewUser property. This will instantiate a new profile.
Cheers

  • Order Creation for Anonymous and Registered/Loggedin User

    Hi all,
    1) I wanted to know about order creation in two different scenario i.e Anonymous and registered/logged-in user.
2)What happens when we make persistOrdersForAnonymousUsers=true in ShoppingCart.properties ?? will this only store the orders in the DB, is there any other use for this.

    Hi Enzo,
    For
    a) If you have not added any item to the cart the default behavior is to not persist the Order Object. There is property ShoppingCart.saveEmptyOrders which is false by default. If an anonymous user has added an item to the cart then the Order Object will be persisted.
    b) Even if the session expires when you come back to the site the order will be loaded in to the cart because the orderId or the profileId is set in a persistent cookie. Again what is the stored in the cookie depends on how you implement the Anonymous Order Persistence. Here again the default behavior is to persist the anonymous profile also and store the profile id in the cookie. You need to persist both anonymous profiles and orders unless you want to write your own code to manage the loading of orders based on a custom cookie.
    with warm regards,
    Jai

  • What is a "logged in user" on the "Active Sessions" report in CF8 Server Monitor?

I was looking at the Active Sessions Report (The Chart View) and saw I have more "logged in users" than "active sessions".
I had expected them to be nearly the same.    It's on our Intranet where I log users in (using cflogin and cfloginuser) at the begining of their session and users should be logged when the session ends.
I couldn't find a detailed explaination of what a "logged in user" means.   There is a chance that the same user is logged into a nested application as well as the Intranet, but I don't think that is what I'm seeing.
I also don't see a way to get a list of what CF is counting as a logged in user.  I can only see a way to get the total count.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jeff

Thank you Michael for the reply, but I don't think that is the issue.
When a user opens their browser on the intranet, a session begins and they are logged in (using the cflogin and cfloginuser).    If they close their browser, the session should hang around for 20 min. (per the server setting).   I am assuming this is still considered an "Active Session" since I can see this behavior in the report.
At first, the Active Sessions and Logged In Users are exactly the same.   When the sessions start to time out, the active sessions are reduced,  but the Logged In Users remain the same.    Then,  after a while, they start to move together.  So I have more Logged In Users than Active Sessions.
I left the Server Monitor open last night and for most of the night, I had 0 sessions, but 57  "logged in users".   This morning, as people opened their browsers, the Active Sessions and Logged In Users moved together.   The gap of 57 looks consistent.
It looks like people are remaining logged in after their session ended.
I am really looking for a detailed explaination of "active session" and/or "logged in user" as used in the server monitor.  It would be really nice to find a way to list the details about each item counted in the "logged in user" and not just the total count.
    Thanks Again for your reply.

  • Anonymous scheme overwriting logged on user?

    Hello!
Recently we upgraded to SAP Enterprise Portal 7.0 SP 23, and, after implementing Anonymous Logon as per note 837898 we can't work in KM. The issue is rather strange: I login as an administrator user, I can go anywhere in KM, I can create folders or files anywhere in KM, but I cannot assign permissions or change properties anymore. It seems that the configured anonymous authentication schemes in "Content Administration > Portal Content > Portal Content > Portal Users > Standard Portal Users > Standard User Role" (PCD) are taking the precedence over the actual logged on user.
Setting authentication scheme of those iViews to 'default' allows modification of properties and such, but, obviously, anonymous users cannot access content anymore.
The configuration worked well in previous service packs, any ideas how to fix it?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Ilya,
I still think this note will resolve the issue, there seems to have been a few side affects of the bug for which this note was originally written and I believe this is one of them, it's similar to symptom B in the note where favorites were added to the anonymous user instead of the currently logged on user, in your scenario the system thinks you're logged on as an anonymous user as well.
I think the problem here is that the note doesn't describe every possibile scenario where this bug could cause issues.
As it is fixed by applying a patch rather than a whole SP upgrade I think it would be worthwhile trying this on your development or test system.

How do I copy purchases between 2 itunes libraries on the same computer with different log ins and separate apple user ids?

Load the library which doesn't contain the songs and drag them into the open iTunes application window. If you need to move them between different computer user accounts, put them into /Users/Shared/.

USR.ResourceID != CS.ResourceID, you need to map the username to the user logon to the PC. By using the user’s department information you will
    end up with unreliable results.
Anyways you need to make these changes to your query.

You might want to Try Re-run the Config utility from the Linux-Essbase server and Re-register the Essbase with HSS.
Start the Essbase in Foreground and check if it is running
Now log on to the EAS/AAS with default admin/password if you havent changed it :); add your Essbase server using the Super user/Owner of essbase i mean the id..if you are succesful; i would always create a Test user as before Externalisation i can create users at EAS/AAS and then using Admin id ; i will push the Users/groups to the HSS by Externalising.. let me know if that helped you. GUd Luck..

  • How to retrieve users logging-in and logging-out date and times in SharePoint

At the moment I am using SherePoint 2013 with a few tenants.
I am going to have access to the users logging-in and logging-out dates and times.
For instance, I would like to know the detail of the dates and times which a particular user of a tenant has logged-in and logged-out during the past few months.
    Any idea?

You can retrieve that info from the IIS log files. Maybe you can use a free IIS reporting tool that I've built and adjust it to your own needs, you can get it here:
    http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/office/The-SharePoint-Flavored-5b03f323
Btw, in a web environment usually there is no such thing as the log-out date and time because the end user just stops making requests. So, you've got to take a look at the last request and by default, after 20 minutes the session times out and you can assume
    the session has ended.

  • Mountain Lion has created new user log-ins and moved old Users to a separate folder

Mountain Lion has created new user log-ins and moved old Users to a separate folder.
The new users are set-up as "standard" and the old ones were "Administrators"
All files are missing, i.e. no desktop files etc. But they are located in a folder called "Users 1" which is a new folder.
    Can anyone help?

Here is perhaps the solution :
    http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1191262
    follow the "Ratatapa's" instructions.
1/ boot on Recovery part (command R)
2/ find "terminal" in disk utilities
and write "resetpassword" for root. Enter a new password for the root user.
3/ reboot as root user (or when your are login, log out and typing to open a other user "root")
in the "system pref" panel, open "users and groups" and then create new user with the same name, same password.. normally it must be asking you about "You are already an account with the same name" say yes. And it's done.
4/ Log out. re-log as the normal user. desactivated the root user.

  • Get username and password of the currently logged-in user in CRM and pass it to the plugin

    Hi,
I am integrating CRM Online and SharePoint Online. Right now I am using Office365 trial version for both. Hence, the same username and password works for both.
I want to create sub-site in SharePoint on create of an entity record. Currently, I am passing the admin credentials. But, I want to pass the credentials of the currently logged-in user in CRM to the plugin which is getting executed on create of account entity.
So that I can then create sub-site in SharePoint using the current user credentials instead of admin credentials.
Is there way to achieve this?

    Hello,
You would not be able to get login/password of currently logged in user. I believe usage of admin credentials is the best way to achieve your goal.

    select * from portal30.wwctx_sso_session$ where trunc(session_start_time) = trunc(sysdate) and
    active = 1 and IS_LOGGED_ON = 1
This should give you the logged in users..
