Another DI API Limitation workaround needed

Hi,
We have an issue with transfering an Order Document into SBO using DI when Printing Layout are configured to be "fired"
When entering a document using the graphical user interface, the pringint is launched correctly.
When sending a document to SBO thru the DI API, no printing job is triggerred.
I suppose that it is a DI API limitation...
Am I right?
If so, what is the best workaround to get these document printed...automatically if possible!

Basically this is not a limitation. DI API is a data interface api which used for data manipulation, and printing is belongs to application, not the SDK. The printing function is missing from SDK.
By the way, from SDK the printing is not supported. What you can do:
1. Issue the invoice via DI API,
2. Open the Document Printing wizard
3. run the printing of Invoices marked ony not printed (you will print out the invoices which are not printed)
This is the suggested workaround for huge number of invoices to be printed. If you issue 1-2 invoices per day by DI API, you can - issue the invoice via DI API, and use the GetNewObjectKey method to receive the docentry value
- open the invoice the SAP B1client
- send the print event by Activating the print menu.
- please note: here you must enter the number of copes by hand.

First off, I'm an advanced user, please don't ask me if I've turned it off and back on ;-)
My issue is that I can't enter my current WiFi passphrase since the symbol doesn't appear on the list when pressing *. The character I'm trying to enter is a less than symbol "<". This printer has been a total nightmare since day one and I refuse to change my passphrase to something less secure just to accomodate this thing's poor design, I would rather toss it in the garbage and buy an Epson printer... Can anyone tell me if there is an alternative way to enter the passphrase, such as hooking the printer up via USB?

There are a couple of options:
1. In the HP folder, run the "Printer setup and software" program to have your computer help the installation. You will have to connect a USB cable temporarily during the process so the computer can communicate the network settings to the printer. Make sure to NOT plug in the USB cable before the software asks.
2. On the front of the printer, restore the network defaults. On your computer connect to the ad hoc network that begins with "hp". Get the printer IP address from the front of the printer and type it into a browser. Go to the network tab and run the "Wireless Setup Wizard" there.

As I said you need to:
You need to wipe the hard disk and reinstall the OS by booting into the recovery partition and reinstall the original OS via the internet. It will ask you to enter your ID

Any image can only be as large as the Original. With a program like Photoshop you can UpRes an image and get it to a bigger size, larger files size as well, but the actual quality of the image will be degraded, depending on the UpRes system and the original quality of the image.
iPhoto is not the program to be doing that in and I don't think it even has that option.
So I suspect the image you are trying to send isn't much bigger than what you are getting. You can also try Exporting it from iPhoto to yopur desktop and see what size you end up with. If it is still that 209KB +/- file size then that is the size of the original image.

Most microphone output a low voltage signal that must be put through a preamp.
The computer needs to have a line voltage signal level instead.

Installing 9ias step by step and/or workarounds needed!

Hi:
Is there any document (technet or metalink) explaining step by step instructions and/or workarounds needed to install 9iAS infrastructure and complete ias (forms, reports, portal, wireless) on same machine (WINDOWS 2000)?
I've installed it on one machine but my REPORTS server do not work and i don't know anything else to do to put it working (the reports server startup and after that shutdowns immediatly without any warning).
Is there any issue found after releasing 9iAS for Windows 2000?
Would appreciate any help.

But since this code just came out, I am not willing to jump direct to it, yet.
Also, I haven't found much documentation on how to make this transition, i.e., exactly what settings on the ASA will make it replace the IPN, and if any changes need to be made on the Admin/Policy/MnT server.
Then as soon as I make that transition, I will be able to rebuild the 3315 (have 2) to be failover between the two locations.

Workaround needed to setTransactionIsolation

Hi All,
I get this warning from Sun-Appserver 8 version for all the connections that are being used.
My transaction isolation level is set to read-comitted.
Can anybody tell me what this means and how to resolve this?

There is a transaction isolation property you can set on rowsets - you might want to take a look at that in the spec and think about how that's maybe involved.
But note that for datatables, (assuming you're calling commit on the datatablemodel), you actually do not need to set the concurrency_upate property on the rowset itself (it's handled internally in the datatablemodel) - so you could try to set the rowset itself to readonly and see if that helps.
Also note that we have run into issues w/updating via datatables that have null values in a cell anywhere.... so if your bound datatable includes a null-allowed column, I would recommend holding off on using this capability until we can get that fixed. Readonly works fine w/null values.
Have you taken the new update yet via the update center? It contains some better error messaging to try and give you more info in the database area. MIght be helpful.

Please remove remaining 255 character API limitations

I develop a library for creating .xll add-ins using the Excel C API (as described in the Excel SDK:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/bb687883(v=office.15).aspx ). However, this discussion also applies to the COM Automation interfaces, as used from VBA or VSTO.
Since Excel 2007, the 255 character limitation for strings in Excel C APIs have been lifted. In particular, the C API supports long Unicode strings up to 32767 characters in most places. However, there are
a number of C API calls where the 255 character string limitation remains. Typically, the corresponding COM Automation call has the same limitation, so these seem to be inherent in Excel at some level.
I highlight two cases:
* the C API call xlcFormulaConvert is used to convert formulas between A1 and R1C1-style references. If the resulting converted formula would be longer than 255 characters, the API call fails. Likewise, the corresponding

Another place where this limitation is present (still in Excel 2013), is in the strings passed with a C API call to
xlfRegister, used to register a UDF. While the C API has supported long Unicode strings since Excel 2007, calls to xlfRegister will fail if any of the strings are longer than 255 characters.
The limitation is particularly inconvenient in this call, since one of the strings represents the concatenation of parameter names displayed in the Insert Function dialog. So the total length of parameter names (including separator characters between parameters)
cannot be more than 255 characters - a limit that is quite easily bumped into.
This affects any add-in based on the C API, whether developed in C/C++ or a managed helper library like Excel-DNA.

Tiger install workaround needed

I want to install Tiger on Laptop but the Install Discs are not working - I have read that is because the Install Discs are not retail
I am therfore considering a work around option - using an iMac hooked up to the Laptop and running the installation using Pacifist
My question is this though - Will the OS still function on a Powerbook - I don't see why the OS should be any different for a Laptop or an iMac
Has anyone any warnings or advice on this issue

It is possible to find used Tiger retail discs. Yes maybe but I have always - and will continue to always buy direct from the source or not at all. I do not trust resellers who are dubious and not authorized. When I find websites that claim to be official Adobe Resllers of CS5 I am not tempted to buy from them because they are generaly 100% fake frauds and thus need to be avoided.

I am not asking Apple Employees or Reps. I was asking for help and advice from other users. I needed help and workarounds to get Logic Studio working since the install discs created problems. Other users helped me with that and I used Pacifist to repair the installation, that is not illegal and from that I was able to help other users who encountered that same problem. This issue is exactly the same thing.

And it's not their fault, it's yours for buying equipment before you investigated the limitations to what you could do with it and how. You Sir are so wrong. Apple choose to support or not support, to sell or not to sell, to enable use or destroy it and in this case, they decided to make the OS unavailable and they chose to ditch PPC and hence kill off these products. No one asked Apple to drop support, they do so to maximize profits just like any other business does and they are well within their rights to do so.
When we buy Apple products we never know how long they will be supported and none of us know what Apple plan to be doing next. I did not know that Apples Mirror Agent would cause my iMac Hard Drive to crash and burn at great cost and expense to myself and nor did I expect to pay £800 for a Lab Data Recovery bill but that happened. Apple denied all blame and treated me with utter contempt and I did not know that would happen either but it did. When I subscribed to MobileMe I never knew it would never operate as it should and I never predicted that I was just going to be wasting my money for services not supllied but that happened. I never knew that some of Logics features would fail when I purchased the Studio but they did and yes, I had to live with that failure like many others do.
Also you assume knowledge that I bought the Powerbook and you are wrong on that count as well. It was a gift for which I was grateful, regardless of its limitations Sir.

Spotlight limitation, workaround?

I like to archive email by dragging messages out of OS X Mail, and into folders on my hard drive. Oddly, this results in their content no longer being readable by Spotlight. The file name, which is the email’s “subject:” can still be indexed.
Does anyone know of a way to get spotlight to see the content of these messages, outside of Mail? I know that I could save/export messages as RTFs or PDFs etc, but I like to keep email intact and in its native format. Thank you.

The workaround is: If you need approval for document created via DI API, you must program it to save the document as draft, and send the notification to the users using MessagesService object or Messages object (you can choose, there are some differences, but the result is the same).
Now when a document in draft state, and the user will issue it from draft to normal document, the system will join into the approval procedure.

Create a filtered list based on the selection in another field? URGENT HELP NEEDED

Hoping someone can help me with something I am working on. i am fairly new to creating forms in acrobat (know how to us the full range of very basic features) but I have now found myself needing some help.
i am producing an order form, and I need to create a filtered dropdown list based on the value selected in another field.
basically, when a user select the company chooses their Business Name from a dropdown list, I would like their deliver address to self populate. In some cases there may be a few options for the company delivery address so in these cases the second option would be a dropdown list of the options available for that company.
i have attached a screenshot, it is the Fields "Business Name" and "delivery Address/Delivery Postcode" that i would like to be linked so that the option in Business Name filtered the options in delivery Address
Hope someone out there has the time to help me with this, i am using Acrobat Pro DC

This will require a complex, custom-made script. The basic functionality of populating another field based on a selection in a drop-down is not that complicated, but if you want it to also populate other drop-downs (and then presumably use them to populate other fields), it will require a more complex solutions.

Sp_addlinkedsrvlogin AD group limitation (workaround? anyone?)

Hello. I have looked all over boards and can't seem to find any elegant (or even hacky) workaround for this situation, hoping some of you geniuses can help. SQL Server 2008
R2 Enterprise.
We have a linked server to a DB2 server. The current linked server uses an DB2 (Unix) ID/PWD (batchID/service account) to the linked server. We don't have Kerberos and the mixed bag of Windows/Unix would sort of disallow it anyway. The SQL server (while mixed
authentication mode) uses almost exclusively Windows Authentication and we are very good about using AD groups for everything, not INDIVIDUAL windows/sql logins (as part of our corporate security).
The data on the DB2 server will soon have masked confidential fields for individual users but not the batch IDs. To ensure that anyone connecting to our SQL server can't just pull up the the unmasked data, we thought we would create another linked server an
limit it to a specific Windows group - lets call it 'DOMAIN\DBA', that requires unmasked data for processing. Either that or -better- put the 'DOMAIN\DBA' group to the existing linked server mapping to an "unmasked" account on the DB2 side. This
group has sysadmin and consists of a windows service account and prod support staff who have to manually run processes). But it is IMPOSSIBLE to set Windows Group LOGIN permissions on a linked server login. The sp_addlinkedsrvlogin specifically excludes server_principals
type 'G'. Microsoft will not say why, except because they designed this for all linked servers to also be Windows SQL server - but there you go.
Does anyone know a way to do this without having to add the individual users from the 'DOMAIN\DBA' group to individual logins on the server? That just seems like a maintenance nightmare. This affects about 20 SQL servers in our organization. PLEASE? Anyone?
