Another version of this product is already installed

Hi Experts,
I need to test a scenario on my PC in SAP 2007 SP00 PL44.  I previously had 2007 SP01 PL06 installed, which I have fully uninstalled.
When trying to reinstall 2007, I am getting the following error message:
Another version of this product is already installed.  Installation of this version cannot continue.  TO configure or remove the existing version of this product, user Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel.
{E1992666-6592-492E-AA69-83E917087BC7}
I cannot find any reference to SAP in Add/Remove Programs and I have deleted the C:\Program Files\SAP folder
I have run the "Windows Install Clean Up" routine to remove any other references to SAP, but I cannot get past this error, when installing the 'Server' element of B1.
Thanks
Greig

  • Installation issue: I uninstalled the Beta 4.1 but get "Another version of this product is already i

I've used Beta 3 & 4 of Lightroom for several months and d/l the Version 1.0 today. Although I uninstalled the Beta (from Add/Remove in Windows Control Panel), I continue to get an error message "Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue." I've gone through the registry removing any residual lightroom references.
Obviously the installer is seeing something it doesn't like but there is no more uninstalling I can think of. Anyone else have this problem, and could you fix it?

    Hello Cool Guy,
In order to resolve the issue, please remove the corrupted client installation in the workstation by using the following steps:
                                                                                    1. Try to uninstall SAP Business One Client from Add and Remove Program
If you are unable uninstall SAP Business Client then, perform the below steps:
    A.  Go to Start --> Run --> %temp% and delete all the files present in the temporary folder.
                                                                                    B. Go to [http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q290301|http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q290301]/.
Download the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility and install it. Ensure on the same page that you understand how it works. Finally delete the SAP Business One Client entry with that tool.
    C. Install the new SAP Business One client as you would do on a brand-new PC.
    hope it helps,

  • Blackberry Desktop Software : "A newer version of this application is already installed on this computer"

Hi, I'm having a very frustrating problem and can't seem to find any informations or help.
Running Windows 7 x64, I had to update my blackberry desktop software a few weeks ago. Unfortunatly the updater crashed during the update. I tried updating again, but the installer now stops at this message :
However, there are no trace of any Desktop Software application on my computer. I tried deleting manually all Blackberry/RIM folders as well as deleting all Blackberry/RIM registry keys. I tried using Revo unistaller, multiple registry cleaners, all with no success.
I now have to use Blackberry Destkop Manager 5.xx since I can't install anything above that. This is getting really frustrating (that and the fact that I had to exchange my Bold 9900 for the 7th time in less that 6 month - and the one I'm using now has a **bleep**ty backspace key that doesn't always work) and extremely annoying.
If you can help, thank you.

Sorry, but what part of your signup information did you choose to not understand? These forums are hosted by RIM, but are a user-to-user community of volunteers who try to help each other out as best they can. These forums are NOT a user-to/from-RIM channel of any formal communication. So, sadly, what it sounds like is that none of the kind volunteers happen to know how to help you, given what you've described. Beating them over the head for that fact doesn't seem the best approach IMHO. ;-)
That said, when I read what you've done, you've indeed already done all that I can think of to recommend. Which leaves only the worst case scenario...rebuilding your entire PC system from scratch. In a very few cases, I've seen that as the only way to clear this up. And it's usually a result of having had multiple different versions of the RIM software installed at one point or another. I've no idea what ultimately gets corrupted, but the system rebuild is the resolution that I've seen.
I wish the news were better for you. Good luck!

  • Problem installing Acrobat 9: "more functional product is already installed"

When trying to install Acrobat 9, a message says that a more functional product is already installed.
I believed this issue was due to the Adobe Acrobat 11 PDF creation utility which was installed with FrameMaker 12. I therefore deinstalled FrameMaker 12, because I believed that the Adobe Acrobat 11 PDF creation utility would be removed as well. However, the issue persists.
Currently, only Adobe Reader XI, FrameMaker 10, and the ExtendScript Toolkit are installed.
I'd be grateful for any help how to solve this.

    Problem solved!
After I ran the Acrobat Cleaner tool, the Adobe PDF Creation Add-On XI was now displayed in the Control Panel > Programs and Features list. (No idea why it wasn't available there in the first place.) So in the end I could remove this utility and install Acrobat 9 without issues.
Thanks again to Bill who put me on the right path. :-)

I am trying to install ORE server version in my Windows 7 OS laptop. I am getting the above error. I had previously installed ORE once. But had to to redo everything because I had installed R12 version of database.
After installing the correct version of the database, I am getting this error when trying to install ORE.
I checked the list of installed products and am not able to find anything. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
    Regards,

    Santhosh Jose,
This error indicates a newer version of Oracle R Enterprise is already installed. Try first uninstalling ORE server using the uninstall.bat script that corresponds to the existing version.  Then reinstall ORE using the install.bat script.

  • Automatically upgrade any superseded versions of this application not auto installing - Status always waiting for next maintenance schedule

    Hello,
I'm trying to deploy an application to a user group with the option checked for "Automatically upgrade any superseded versions of this application" but it never auto installs.
    - The application is set to install to system whether the user is logged on or off.
    - We do have user affinity, therefore the user does have a one or more primary devices setup.
    - If I run the install manually, it will superseded and install the new application and uninstall the old applications.
    - The estimated installtion time minutes is set to 0
    - The maxmimum allowed run time is set to 120 minutes.
    We're on version SCCM 2012 SP1.
My assumption of how it should work
If the user is logged in or NOT and it's during the maintenance window, it should auto install the application. Maybe I'm wrong.
    Here's the scenario.
User JohnDoe has application Viewer 1.0 installed on his machine.  He installed this app via the SCCM application catalog.   We now need to deploy Viewer 2.0 of this application.   I want to ensure when it's deployed it replaces Viewer 1.0 hence
the reason to check the "auto upgrade.."check box.
Here's what happens. In software center, it will pre-downlaod the software and then set the status to "Waiting for next maintenance schedule".  The problem is that the status stays like this forever.   We do have maintenance windows set
on the device collection that JohnDoe's primary device is part of.  Here are our maintenance windows.
    - Daily - 9PM to 5AM = 8 hours
    - Weekly - Saturday - 12:00AM to 12:00 = 24 hours
    - Weekly - Sunday - 12:00AM to 12:00 = 24 hours
    Coordinated UTC is not checked.
The business hours in software center are set to 5am to 10pm.
One would assume that it would auto install during the night since we have a big maintenance windows. I checked the ServiceWindowmanager.log and it does seem to show the various maitnenance windows.
    Here's what I've tried
    - If I make the deployment required, it will install right away regarless of maintenance windows.  However, i don't want to use this option because if the user logs in to other machine (e.g. boardroom computer), it will auto install this software.
    - If JohnDoe clicks install in Software center or application catalog, it works.  There's nothing wrong with the packages.  The issue seems to be related with the maintenance windows.
    - If I disable the maintenance windows, then it seems to work but only when I'm logged in.  It still does not work if I'm logged out.  It only kicks off the installation when I login if it's not during the business hour set in software center.
We need the maintenance windows since we don't want windows patching to occur during the day.
    - I searched and ran the report to ensure there's not another maintenance windows setup that would prevent this from installing.
    Our current workaround
To ensure users are using the latest version, we deploy the application required for a couple of days, then delete that deployment once we reach a high 90%.  The problem with that is if some computers are turned off, they would be using the older version
and it will never get upgraded unless the user installs it manually.
Has anyone encountered this?  Any other log files I should look at? Anything else I should verify ?  I know in SCCM 2012 R2, you can set the maintenance window to only apply this schedule to software update (patching) but that option doesn't seem
to be available in SCCM 2012 SP1.
Any help, suggestiong, I will take.  Thanks.

    - If I make the deployment required, it will install right away regarless of maintenance windows.  However, i don't want to use this option because if the user logs in to other machine (e.g. boardroom computer), it will auto install this software.
Re-check your deployment, specially the user experience:
If you've checked the box next to "Software installation", it will install after the deadline has passed and ignores maintenance windows. Change the deployment to required and uncheck that box and the software should be installed according to your
    maintenance windows.

  • Problem installing Photoshop CC: "A beta version of this product exists", but there is no such beta

I can't install Photoshop CC on my Windows 8 64-bit Desktop system.  The attached message pops up as soon as the installation process is done extracting the download.
It's the only CC product that won't install.  I've tried over many days, several reboots.
All other CC products have installed and upgraded without trouble.
I've previously had the Master Collections, with only AE CS6, Premiere Pro CS6, and Photoshop CS6 still currently installed from the CS6 Master Collection.

Could you please provide me with following log files to investigate:

  • I keep being referred to Adobe to install version 11 when it is already installed.  Can you help me?

When using my internet explorer 10 I am unable to see the street view in Google Maps.  I am referred to Adobe to donwload the latest version of flash player.
Also when on an At&T website I cannot see movies that are available.  I am referred to Adobe also.
In both cases I download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player 11 active x successfully.  I already have
Adobe Flash Player 11 acitive x installed.  I shows in my computer I installed it on 9/21/2013 and is 6 mb size.
Also the Version is 11.8.800.175.  It also show the plugin version 11.8.800.168 installed.
I have tried uninstalling the Flashplayer from my computer and then reinstalling it.  I get the same
    problem.
In the past I have never had this problem.  Maybe I cleaned out some active x add on or some other file
with my AT&T Security Suite Clean program.  I looked at the add -ons and they seem ok.
I have Google Chrome also installed so I uncheck the download of that in the Adobe website.
When I have the above problem I use Google Chrome as my browser and the problem goes away.
My wife has a HP laptop with Windows 7 also and has Adobe Flash Player 11 Active X 6mb version 11.8.800.175
also and she has not problem accessing the street view in Google maps.
I checked the requirements for system information
I have windows 7 in my desktop Hp Pavilion elite HPEwhich has Intel Core  i7 and have

My local disk is 931.5 GB.
    I have internet explorer 10 version 10.0.9200.16686.
Can you help me on this .  Thank you

I finally figured out what was wrong.  Since I had installed Google Chrome recently it already had the Adobe Flash Player imbedded in it.
When I uninstalled the flash player in Control Panel option the problem went away.

  • This app is already installed

I bought my IMac used from a reputable dealer but the previous owner had downloaded apps with their icloud account. I could not for instance install iphoto because it had already been installed. I took my computer back to the store and they "fixed" it. They installed ilife on my computer which I thought would fix the problem with the previous owner but it hadn't. Today I was looking at ibooks and the app had been previously installed and now I can not purchase or install it. I'm not sure how many more apps I'm going to find this problem with.

The Mac App Store 'looks' in your Application folder to see if a purchased app is still installed... what happens when you go to the Purchases tab? Does it show the app as being installed?

  • Yosemite/Java asks me to update to latest version of Java; which is already installed!

    Hello,
I have a mid-2010 iMac with OS X Yosemite (10.10.2) installed on it. The issue that I'm having is that I'm getting a Software Update popup that reads:
Now, how can I be asked to "update" what I ALREADY HAVE installed?? In other words it's a junk update.  I get this popup one to two times a week and I only go on my Mac perhaps 5 times a week.
Not long after updating to Java 8 Update 31 in maybe early Jan 2015 I got this popup.  I thought perhaps they had a typo on the "Update 31" part of the popup.  So I updated it a 2nd time on Jan 21st.  And now this happened today.
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions to make this popup stop appearing for no reason?          - Rob
    System:  Mid-2010 iMac, 3.6ghz i5, 8gb, 1tb hardrive

    @ Linc Davis:
I followed the link you gave.  And downloaded using the link on that page.  The page had a link "How to install" at:
http://java.com/en/download/help/mac_install.xml   After reading the instructions to the bottom of the page I saw a link to test the installation.  So to test if I already had installed the Java that I was now downloading; I clicked the test link.  And I got this:
So aparently I do not need to install the Java I downloaded at the link you gave as I already have it!  So we're back to square one.  Why is this occuring on my system?
