I even created an additional new apple ID.
The app store however doesnt let me login and asks me to review my account information.
When i click the Review button,there is no further progress.

I would like to download the OS X Mavericks installer, but the only Mac I can currently connect to the Internet is too new to support Mavericks, so it tells me I can't even download it. I am trying to acquire it to prepare bootable install media for a machine which is without Internet access.

No. Mavericks is no longer available for download or purchase. Even were you to get Mavericks you cannot install it on a model that requires Yosemite or later.
The machine without Internet access would not be able to download Mavericks either.

Unstable Inet connection - direct link to download?

does anyone know a direct link to download the Desktop Manager 6.1? I am sitting here in Africa with a quite unstable and slow internet connection (80kbit/s) and having trouble to download it with my Firefox 4. It always breaks up after a couple of MB.
For other downloads of this size (>20MB) I do use a free download manager who picks up the download after a break. Unfortunately, at the official download page from blackberry there is only this download button and I can't use my download manager. Even when I copy the link adress once the download has started in Firefox and copy it to my DM the size of this download is only a couple of bytes.
If I knew a direct link to the file I could use my DM and could download the Desktop Software the next couple of days
I am still using version 5.0.1 which came with my phone on a CD (BB Bold 9700) and I would like to update.

How to remove a cancelled Mavericks installation from applications?

I started downloading Mavericks a while ago but changed my mind in the middle of the installation and pressed cancel since I'm afraid I have plugins on my computer that are not compatible with it. In my applications folder I can see the Mavericks and how long it had installed before I cancelled it, there's this little stripe.. I want to clean up a little and remove the mavericks download, afriad it takes up some diskspace or just ***** up for my apps on the computer, is this just something i created in my mind? Anyway, if I delete it, I can always get it from apple support right..
When I try to delete the Mavericks from my application folder, it says "Some of the items you are moving are in use by another application and that it could cause some problems for my apps". Hm, is this an error message to ignore, or is there another way to get around this?

the partially downloaded Mavericks installer will only take up disk space; its mere presence won’t affect the apps on your computer.
Have you tried restarting your MacBook Pro, logging in, dragging the Mavericks installer to the Trash, and then emptying the Trash? Do you still get the “in use” message that way?

- Temporarily disable anti virus software if installed.
- Apps such as Little Snitch, Net Nanny, and Hands Off can prevent apps from downloading including Mountain Lion.
How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select Mountain Lion. Then right or control click where you see Installed then click Install.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

hmmmm no need for windows device. simply hold down Command and R at start up it will install recovery HD and then u can install OS, for that u need a stable and good speed internet. so fist connect your Mac with internet and then start it by holding cmd and r after that it will do all the work.

I have just Purchased a brand new Macbook Pro 2013 from Apple store and it won't let you download Maverick's even thought it's already installed. Does anybody know why? I originally purchased a Macbook Air 2013, which I returned for the pro model. This came with Mountain Lion, which the app store let me download Maverick's from the app store. I could also download as a backup in case something went wrong.

You have got a Late 2013 MacBook Pro.
That MacBook Pro needs a special OS X Mavericks version that is newer than the Mavericks version available in the Mac App Store. This is the reason why the Mac App Store does not let you download Mavericks even if you are using OS X Mavericks.
To reinstall OS X Mavericks, use OS X Recovery > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718 You will not be able to download OS X Mavericks from the Mac App Store until Apple launches OS X 10.9.1

Ghost files downloading at random from Safari?

Okay, so I already realize my computer has passed its prime and is on the downhill (it's a steep one too), but I am trying to make it last. So, before I'll ask my question I'll let you know that my computer is only running on half RAM (512 instead of 1 G) because the lower ram slot is dead.
Ok. So, lately whenever I get on Safari, I'll get these random "files" download on my computer. Usually they'll say something like "b-ashx", or "b-ashx-1", etc. Lately I got another one like "desktop1-1" or something like that. I'll click get info on them, but there's nothing on them. They are 0 kb on the HD. Can anyone explain what my computer is doing downloading these files from Safari at random??? I would appreciate it!

Regarding Safari, it appears this started happening with Version 4.0.x. One fix was to install a downlevel Safari - Here's a link to 3.1: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/application_updates/safari311.html .

What type of file is it?
If safari can't natively open the file, or there is no App installed thatr can, it won't download.

Doesn't start mavericks installation from usb drive

I tried to make a clean mavericks OS install from Mac OS 10.7.5. Firstly, I wrote Mavericks OS instal into the USB drive by the instructions, after that I made a restart and held the option. I choosed Mavericks OS usb to install and I got this:
Any suggestions what I did wrong? I wrote Mavericks OS couple different times to usb drive, but all the time happened like this. I used 8gb Kingston flash drive.

Make Your Own Mavericks, Mountain/Lion Installer
After downloading the installer you must first save the Install Mac OS X application. After the installer downloads DO NOT click on the Install button. Go to your Applications folder and make a copy of the installer. Move the copy into your Downloads folder. Now you can click on the Install button. You must do this because the installer deletes itself automatically when it finishes installing.
2. Get a USB flash drive that is at least 8 GBs. Prep this flash drive as follows:
Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
After DU loads select your flash drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the leftside list. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list.
Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to an hour depending upon the flash drive size.
3. Use DiskMaker X to put your installer clone onto the USB flash drive.
Make your own Mavericks flash drive installer using the Mavericks tool:
You can also create a Mavericks flash drive installer via the Terminal. Mavericks has its own built-in installer maker you use via the Terminal:
You will need a freshly partitioned and formatted USB flash drive with at least 8GBs. Leave the name of the flash drive at the system default, "Untitled." Do not change this name. Open the Terminal in the Utilities folder. Copy this command line after the prompt in the Terminal's window:
sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app --nointeraction
Press RETURN. Enter your admin password when prompted. It will not be echoed to the screen so be careful to enter it correctly. Press RETURN, again.
Wait for the process to complete which will take quite some time.

Mass downloading after installation from a disk

I recently bought Premiere Elements 12 on a disk. Installation went smoothly and the program seems to run just fine. However, whenever I am running the program, a program that I have called BitMeter (a program that tracks Internet usage) show mass downloading. I tried restarting the program and even rebooting the computer but still, every time i run the program, it starts to download. It doesn't seem to be downloading anything, Premiere Elements doesn't say that it's downloading anything and the folder that it is installed into hasn't grown in size. I left it downloading for a while and after 2GB it was still going. Since I installed off of a disk i can't see any reason why it would need to download anything that large. Is there any reason why Premiere Elements 12 would be downloading anything after installation from a disk?

I do not know if you got to Content in the program. Much of it has to be downloaded before use. But, it would appear that it is on demand and not downloaded until you demand it. The Online Folder that contains the downloadable content runs several GBs.

I am not sure what you might be picking up with your BitMeter program.
It would be interesting to hear Adobe's comment on this. We are not Adobe. Just Premiere Elements users trying to help other Premiere Elements users with their Premiere Elements workflows.
What you might try, wild guessing, open the Elements Organizer 12, go to Edit Menu/Preferences/Media Analysis and shut off all the AutoAnalyzer options and everything else under Media Analysis. Then observe what happens, if anything, to your program activity. Have you started using the Adobe Revel feature?
