Any possibility to write code in Xcelsius Dash board

Hi ,
I am new to Xcelsius. I found that we can connect Xcelsius with the backend data via Web service. But the standred web service which we use has a very complex return structure. To make it presentable on UI we need to do some pre processing with the response returned via the web service. Earlier we have done that in action script to show some charts in flex. My question is : Is there any possibility to write a piece of code somewhere in Xcelsius to achieve that.
Regards

Ideally, it is best to have the data filtered and presentation ready once it's consumed by the SWF file.  Preventing the Xcelsius flash from doing any additional processing will help with performance.
However, there is an SDK for Xcelsius 2008 that will allow you to develop your own components within Xcelsius.  Go here for more information:

  • Xcelsius dash board showing warnings

    Hi,
    We are executing xcelsius dash board , which is built upon Bex query by using BICS connectivity
    .Now that dash board  is showing warning messages  as these messages are  displaying in the Bex Query.
    can anybody suggest why this messages are showing in the xcelsius or how to suppress these warnings either at the backend or at the front end. we are using xcelsius 2008 sp3.
    Thanks in advance...

  • Any way to write code to cache the contents of the scripts menu? (or force ScriptsMenu plugin start)

    In the scripting forum I created the thread Adding custom scripts to actions revisited - Partial workaround
    Basically, you can create actions with keyboard shortcuts to execute custom javascript/vbscript, etc. and successfully reload them after restarting Illustrator but only if the user manually navigates to File->Scripts before manually loading an actions (.aia) file
    Any script menu items added to actions will be stripped from the custom actions when Illustrator is restarted because, I believe, the script menu items are not cached and are therefore invalid when the actions are automatically reloaded.
    Obviously, I'd prefer not requiring the user to navigate to the scripts menu and replace the actions every time Illustrator is started.
    Does anyone have any ideas on a way to write code so that Illustrator caches the contents of the scripts menu? Preferably this would be before the actions are loaded so they don't get invalidated and need to be reloaded in the first place. A keyboard macro would likely execute to late to be of much help.
    If anyone knows anything about the actual mechanism of caching the scripts menu or knows of anything else relevent to this please respond.
    Thanks!
    Edit: The menu is created in the Scripts Menu plugin (ScriptsMenu.aip). Perhaps there is no "cache" of the menu and the plugin just doesn't perform the startup until you browse to the File->Scripts menu?
    AIMenuGroups.h has the global definition of the group:
    #define kScriptsMenuGroup         "ScriptsMenuGroup"

    Have you looked at stored outlines ? They are for plan stability.
    Also you may want to look little deep on where your statistics are going wrong.
    I would recommend using below hint and checking where is difference in estimated(E-Rows) and actual number(A-rows) of rows. This may point out some incorrect stats.
    e.g.
    select /*+ gather_plan_statistics */ * from dual;
    D
    X
    select * from table(dbms_xplan.display_cursor(null,null,'ALLSTATS LAST'));
    Plan hash value: 272002086
    | Id | Operation | Name | Starts | E-Rows | A-Rows | A-Time | Buffers |
    | 1 | TABLE ACCESS FULL| DUAL | 1 | 1 | 1 |00:00:00.01 | 3 |

  • Is there any possiblity to write and execute code before nodes get created in the content?

    Hi,
         I have created a dialog and after clicking OK the data is stored in the content. But I've the following requirement: "After clicking OK button on the dialog and before the data stored into the content, I've to do some action(I want to write some code)". Is it possible? Where can I write the code to perform the action before nodes get created? Let me know the solution. Your comments are welcome.

  • Possible to write a function that takes any type as parameter ?

    I need to write a function that will take 2 parameters ( of any type - VARCHAR etc ) and return a boolean.
    ( Im trying to write a function that will do NULL processing.
    something like..
    if ( P1=P2 OR ( P1 IS NULL AND P2 IS NULL ) ) then
    return true ;
    end if;
    return false ;
    the function simply compares its parameters P1 & P2 and returns true if they are equal - including if both are NULL
    Is this possible to write at all.
    My code looks very ugly without this being wrapped in a function.

    You may be able to use SYS.AnyData for this. However, dealing with the data would be confusing, so overloading the FUNCTION would most likely be a better idea.
    This doesn't work, but it looked like fun, so i tried:
    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION Equal_Or_NULL(A SYS.AnyData, B SYS.AnyData)
    RETURN PLS_INTEGER
    AS
    Local_A     VARCHAR2(4000);
    Local_B     VARCHAR2(4000);
    Junk          PLS_INTEGER;
    BEGIN
    IF A IS NULL AND B IS NULL THEN RETURN 1; END IF;
    CASE A.GetTypeName
      WHEN 'SYS.NUMBER'     THEN Junk := A.GetNumber(Local_A); Junk := B.GetNumber(Local_B);
      WHEN 'SYS.DATE'     THEN Junk := A.GetDate(Local_A); Junk := B.GetDate(Local_B);
      WHEN 'SYS.CHAR'     THEN Junk := A.GetCHAR(Local_A); Junk := B.GetCHAR(Local_B);
      WHEN 'SYS.VARCHAR'     THEN Junk := A.GetVARCHAR(Local_A); Junk := B.GetVARCHAR(Local_B);
      WHEN 'SYS.VARCHAR2'     THEN Junk := A.GetVARCHAR2(Local_A); Junk := B.GetVARCHAR2(Local_B);
    END CASE;
    RETURN CASE WHEN Local_A = Local_B THEN 1 ELSE 0 END;
    END Equal_Or_NULL;
    /Overloading would be much simpler, as the arguments could be directly compared.
    IMO, Do not do this. Hiding logic in a FUNCTION it for cosmetic purposes is a bad idea.

  • Is it possible to write an abap code be SAP SQL query.(ECC 6)

    hello guys,
    Is it possible to write an abap code be SAP SQL query.
    Scenario : table A has a field say f1 of length 10 and table B has a field say s1 of lenght 20. in sap sql i am able to link all the other tables but i am not able to link
    table Af1 --->Table Bs1. as the length doesnot match. so is it possibel that using abap code I can pick 10 characters from table A field f1 adjust it to 20 characters using abap and map it to field s1 of table B.
    Please let me know how to accomplish this if possible.
    thanks in advance!!

    Herm,
    Adding code is done in the infoset.
    Please do following:
    > Goto SQ02
    > Type in the infoset that the basis for your query, <change>
    > Press <code> OR <shift><f8>
    > Tou'll see 4 tabs: Extras, Selections, Code, Enhancements.
    > GoTo tab Code
    > Choose the coding section (<f4> gives you an overview)
    > Enter the code.
    You may set a breakpoint to see what the query in SQ01 will do with it.
    Succes!
    Frank

    Is it possible to write a as3 code that will search for particular file in the loacal disk

  • Any suggestions for my code.

    Hi,
    I wrote this little piece of code to reduce some of the work I need to do when doing database access. I intend to use if with mySQL and mostly web based applications. It'll probably use it quite a bit, and since it's my first try at writing something like this I figured I'd post the code to see if anyone can find any problems. I've already tested it and it works, so I'm mostly interested in any feedback about performance issues.
    I'd really like to know if there's any way I can get the number of rows in a result set before I start going through it. That way I could return the data in an Object[][] array (I'd assume it'd be a little faster to add values to than the ArrayList).
    Here's the code...

    I think I have an idea of what you mean. I just want to make sure before I write everything though. I could implement your idea by doing the following right?
    I haven't tried any of this, so if there's minor (syntax) errors just ignore them. I'll fix them later.
    1. Create the following Interface.
    package com.vacode.beans.sql;
    public interface GruntBeanProccessingModule
        public Object get(Object[] properties);
    }2. Force the subclasses to implement the above interface
    public class EmployeeProcessor implements GruntBeanProcessingModule
        public Object get(Object[] properties)
         //make sure the input array is the right length (+ other validation, etc.)
         //create a new EmployeeBean
         //set all the EmployeeBean properties based on the input Object[]
         //return the EmployeeBean
    }3. Make the following additions to my SQLGruntBean class
    private requestedClassType = null;
    public void setRequestedClassType(Object o) // o must be an instance of the requested class
        this.requestedClassType = o;
    //if requestedClassType isn't null then create the ArrayList like this
    while(rs.next())
             Object[] currentRow = new Object[colCount];
             for(int i=0;i<colCount;i++)
              currentRow[i] = rs.getObject(i+1); //SQL starts at 1 not 0
             Class requestedClass = Class.forName(requestedClassType.getClass().getName());
             GruntBeanProcessingModule gbpm = requestedClass.newInstance();
             Object convertedData = gbpm.get(currentRow);
             data.add(convertedData);
         }Of course I'll have to handle any possible exceptions (requestedClassType isn't an instance of GruntBeanProcessingModule, etc.). I also notice the forum replaced some of my [] with <> (I've seen it before though, so you probably already know about it).
    Did I get it right or am I out to lunch :-)
    Thank you very much for the feedback,
    Ryan

    I am using JCAPS 512. Please let me know is there any possibility to
    reuse a jcd by extending or importing it.
    Please let me know in which location the classes created in edesigner will be stored in system.
    Regards
    Venkatesh.S

    Using JCAPS 5.1.3 on several large projects and JCD's extensibility is my biggest gripe. I'm a Java developer accustomed to code freely. Actually, wanted to extend and reuse OTDs as well, guess SeeBeyond markets it like a "Visual Basic" tool for integration. They should have learned from Delphi how to do it better.
    Anyway, the JCD are J2EE Stateless Session Beans under the covers, the code you write with eDesigner (NetBeans 3) goes through a "codegen" process. That is, you are not writing the Session Bean directly, consequently, the classic limitations with interpreted code.
    However, the next JCAPS version with NetBeans Open ESB will make developers happy by allowing normal Java development.

  • Any possibility to generate the bill first than Delivery & Picking?

    Hi SD GURUS & EXPERTS,
    We know that standard procedure of SAP SD is Sales Order --> Outbound Delivery -> Picking --> Billing. It means delivery & Picking is carried out before billing, and as we pick the material stock deducted from the inventory.
    But in my scenario, Customer has a grace period of 7-15 days to get the delivery. It means Customer deposit the money at office than Billing should be generate (from Office). This bill sent to the ware house and ware house deliver the material against this Bill.
    If we carried out standard procedure than there will be difference in Physical as well as System stock.
    So, is there any possibility to generate the bill first than Delivery & Picking.
    Thanks in advance.
    Devendra Singh Chauhan

    we do not maintain the Customer Master
    Not necessary.  For this purpose only, SAP has given an Account Group "One Time Customer" which you can make use of this.
    With the same customer code, you can change the address as and when your client got a sale order from such customers.
    With this customer code, you can create sale order, delivery, billing.  In fact, you should be aware, SAP will allow you to generate proforma against a delivery that is not PGId.  If at all you dont want to do PGI, you can make use of this option.
    Needless to say, the system (billing and then delivery) what you had indicated is definitely not recommended.
    thanks

  • Is there any limit on JavaScript code used in forms?

    Hi,
    Is there any limit on JavaScript code that we can put in the submit button JavaScript Event Handler's 'onClick' event ?
    I have a code wherein I am calling alert 100 times , but till 90 times it works and if I include the last
    10 alerts in the code , it gives :
    "Exception from wwv_generate_component.build_procedure(WWV-01821) unable to
    generate UI form: ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or calue error: character string
    buffer too small(WWV-16409)"
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks and regards.
    Neeti.

    Hi Ketan,
    If your code can be put inside of a separate JavaScript function, you could either include the function inside of your template or write a separate PL/SQL procedure to print out your JavaScript onto your HTML page using the HTP.P() command (this would need to be called inside of your form).

  • Is it possible to write a program to unzip files in pl/sql or sql ?

    Morning Experts,
    I have a zip file on my Host which contains a list of files(reports). Each of those files have a distinct name and i have already written the codes to retreive data from those files.
    My oracle is installed on a linux server
    Now my question is as follows:
    is it possible to write a program in sql to unzip those .zip files (located on my host) and stores its content in that same folder?
    Thanks

    You can use Java like this:CREATE OR REPLACE AND RESOLVE JAVA SOURCE NAMED "Zipper"
    AS import java.io.ByteArrayInputStream;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import java.util.zip.ZipInputStream;
    import java.util.zip.ZipEntry;
    public class Zipper {
       public static String unzip(byte[] pBuf) throws IOException {
          ZipInputStream in = new ZipInputStream(new ByteArrayInputStream(pBuf));
          ZipEntry ze;
          byte[] buf = new byte[2048];
          StringBuffer stribu = new StringBuffer(pBuf.length * 5);
          while((ze = in.getNextEntry()) != null) {
             int bytesRead;
             while((bytesRead = in.read(buf, 0, 2048)) > 0) {
                for(int i = 0; i < bytesRead; i++) {
                   stribu.append((char)buf);
    in.closeEntry();
    in.close();
    return stribu.toString();
    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION unzip(
    pData IN RAW)
    RETURN VARCHAR2
    AS
    LANGUAGE JAVA
    NAME 'Zipper.unzip(byte[]) return java.lang.String';
    In this example you can pass the content of a reltively small zip file and get the contents as VARCHAR2.
    It's just to show where to start.

  • Is it possible to write a combined add-on for Firefox (desktop) and Firefox (Android and iPhone)?

    Dear Mozilla-Support-Team,
    I am thinking about a new webservice based on an add-on for Mozilla (and other Internet Browsers).
    In general, is it possible to write a combined add-on for Firefox (desktop) and Firefox (Android and iPhone)? Or do both Mozilla-worlds (desktop / mobile) differ and therefore require to write seperate add-ons (just Desktopn AND mobile or Desktop AND Android AND iPhone).
    Thank you very much for your help!

    It can be the same extension though you will likely need to write different code for FxAndroid and Fx Desktop.
