Any preps before installation?
I'm receiving Production Premium tomorrow. I was wondering if I should un-install anything before installation.
Specifically:
1. The old versions of PP and AE
2. AVS4YOU Software.
3. Pinnacle Studio 11
I'll be working with AVCHD footage. After the initial install should I just run updates on all the separate programs before working with any of them?
Older versions of PrPro and AE should have no trouble coexisting with CS4. Now, if your older PrPro is CS3, and you install CS4 along side it, do NOT uninstall CS3 after you install CS4, or be prepared to do a Repair Install of CS4, 'cause CS3 will take some necessary stuff with it.
Pinnacle? That one is unknown to me. Going back some years, I tried up upgrade Studio 10 to 10.5 (S10 had worked fine with PrPro 2) and the 10.5 upgrade ate my machine! I hear that later versions of Pinnacle are a bit better. S9.4.3 was good, but S10 in any version was not. That was the last time that I saw anything Pinnacle - still, S10 and PrPro 2.0 had no issues with each other, and I have PowerDirector and MovieEdit Pro on that machine with no issues.

Is there is any option for “Run executable before installation”?
I want to run one LabVIEW exe before installing new software (if Runtime engine is exits in deployment PC).
Please let me know if anyone have idea.The NI installers don't give you a lot of control of how things are done. Let say you want to allow you users to have a minimum, complete, or custom install of tools. The NI installers don't have that option.
In the past when I need more control of how installers run, and their options, I've used a couple of free tools that I've mentioned in the past. Inno Setup, and the helper program ISTool.
Using this method I can make an installer, that runs a different installer first, then runs the NI installer. -
I can not sync my iPhone after restoring it - my computer only gives me the restore (again and again and again) option. I have no music and only a few aps now on my iPhone. Any tips before I go to the genius bar?
If you restored as new, without using a backup, and still only get an option to restore, there is a hardware problem or the phone was previously hacked (jailbroken, downgraded iOS, unauthorized unlock). Your only option is to take it to Apple or whoever provides iPhone service in your country.

It's a JavaScript scam that only affects your web browser, and only temporarily.
Some of those scam pages can be dismissed very easily. Press command-W to close the tab or window. A huge box will pop up. Press the return key and both the box and the page will close. If that doesn't happen, continue.
From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
and uncheck the box marked Enable JavaScript. Leave the preferences dialog open.
Close the malicious window or tab.
Re-enable JavaScript and close the preferences dialog.
If the Preferences menu item is grayed out, quit Safari. Force quit if necessary. Relaunch it by holding down the shift key and clicking its icon in the Dock. From the menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
to get rid of any cookies or other data left by the server. Open your Downloads folder and delete anything you don't recognize. -
I just installed OSX Lion (10.7.2) and updated to the newest version of Logic express (9.1.5) on a macbook and every time I playback audio I get this error message: [Disk is too slow or System Overload. (-10010) The Sudden Motion Sensor may have parked the hard drive head, or the disk performance is not sufficient to read or write all audio tracks, or the system was not able to process all data in time]
Never had any issues before now... any ideas?Have a look into the Preferences folder (YourUserFolder/Libraries/Preferences/) and trash all Logic preferences.
You'll have to setup the program again.

Also, if you mean test it in terms of the carrier you will have the normal trial period for the carrier to test signal and reception and such ifyou are signing up for new service (or a new contract term). AT&T is 30 days to return or exchange the phone if it does not work where you need it to work. I don't know about Verizon or Sprint these days, but it will be at least two weeks, if not 30 days as well.

Yes, it's in your Applications folder and is called "Install OS X". Make sure to empty your trash afterwards to clear the space.

Do i need to backup my information before installation of Mac os x lion? I know I should always back up, but what i'm asking is will my information be there, or is it a totally clean install? Will my information have to be transfered?
When I installed Lion all of my files were intact and where I left them, and I did not back up my Mac, however having seen some of the problems some people are coming across when installing Lion I would recommend backing up before you install (just to be on the safe side).

You move it back to the Applications folder or reinstall it from your OS install disk, using Pacifist if needed.

I cannot uninstall or install itunes. error is 'trying to use on a network resource that is unavailable'. I cannot find path to any folders containing installation package itunes.msi. Unable to download itunes since 2 updates ago and crashed computer. Windows update as suggested in some posts does not assist either.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
