So has Apple said anything on a patch for 7.3 yet to fix the -50 error that everyone seems to be getting?
Apple does not comment much, if at all, on non-released prducts or updates.

Any word from Apple on replacement iPod firmware?
Like many others, I made the mistake of updating my 60GB iPod to version 1.1 firmware. After doing that, I ran headlong into all of the bugs (video playback losing sound, backlighting, refusal to load higher res videos, etc.)
Has anyone talked to Apple tech support to find out when Apple will be issuing new firmware?
I'd really like to get the new remote with FM radio, but it requires version 1.1 firmware and I am not willing to lose the ability to play all of the videos that I've encoded. Nor do I want the ability to download higher res videos taken away (since the higher res videos look much better over the video output to a TV).
This is my first Apple product. Is Apple always to slow to acknowledge and fix bugs? Given all of the problems with the update, it should have been pulled days ago, but it's still there and it keeps messing up people's iPods. It cost me two hours of time. Doesn't Apple care when their customers are having that kind of experience?Thanks for the reply.
I believe that there are many iPod owners who will either not buy the remote or who will return it in frustration after they learn what the 1.1 firmware does to their iPods.
If buggy software followed by days of dead silence (in response to the ensuing complaints) is typical of Apple, I am completely befuddled by their cult-like following. As I mentioned before, this is my first Apple product. I expected that paying a premium price ($400 for a portable music player is a premium price) would get me a brilliantly designed product and top-quality support. Instead, I get firmware updates which cripple the product and Apple doesn't even have the courtesy to acknowledge the problems and remove the buggy software from its web site. -
I have tried all of the suggestions in the support communities. Itunes shows that my phone and my library are synced, however none of the changes I made to playlists show up on my phone
Is there any word from Apple as to when this will be addressed?So this isn't just me? I'm getting on a flight in 12 hours and I've been trying to copy a book on tape over... I've got my cable but nothing will sync. It just keeps insisting I put everything on the cloud... However I can't bloody download audiobooks from the iCloud when I'm on an AIR PLANE. Would be nice to fix this up...

I have a problem with my I phone5 . after i bought an iPhone6 and i joined it to my iTunes , the same problem happens to my new Iphone.
i thought with the new Apple ID the problem could be solved. so i create a new Apple ID. now i have 2 I Phones with the same problem means i can't remove my first Apple ID because any time i try to reset my password and delete the Apple ID i don't receive any Email from APPLE .
Please HELP me. i would be very appreciated .

actually i found out how to fix it
1 sign out of apple account
2 close down passbook app
3 change year to 2013
4 reopen passbook and sign in at the button with your apple ID
5 change the time to auto update and it should work from now on.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then the steps half-way down this page should let you reset them : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 link above to add a rescue email address for potential future use -

Just to make certain, you inserted the original installation disk and started the MBP holding down the C key? Did the Optical drive reject the disk or did it just spin? If the former, the lens in the drive may be dirty and needs to be cleaned. If the latter, you will have to take it to an Apple repair facility.

If you installed Leopard that is why you can't install Mt Lion. The system Must be running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 to upgrade to Lion or Mt Lion.
If you only erased the Macintosh HD partition then you left the Mt Lion Recovery HD partition in tact on that system. At startup hold down the Command+r keys to boot to the Recovery HD Partition. From there erase the Macintosh HD partition and then select Reinstall Mac OS X. It should then download Mt Lion and ask you for the Apple ID that was used to purchase Mt Lion.
The Reason Snow Leopard might not be installing is because of the Recovery HD partition. To get rid of that you must First Re-Partition the drive As One Partition. Then install Leopard then SL (Or Snow Leopard from the start) and then update it to 10.6.8. Once that is done you should be able to log on to the Mac App Store and Re-Download Mt Lion. -

It's been suggested that somehow you may have emails being routed to your SMS, which is passing marketing emails from Apple to your text messaging. Go here:

and unsubscribe and see if the SMS messages then stop. You can also check your Apple ID:

and make the change there if you are subscribed.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.
