Anyconnect 3.1 on OSX 10.8.X , Cisco Jabber not working.

Hi all
I am having this not so much fun problem, you see when I am connected to my Local lan ( Inside network ) I can connect fine with my Cisco Jabber 8.6.2 and do my calls and such , then I open a vpn ( pretty much anywhere ) to another client, and Jabber Disconnects.
Even though the Ip networks are not conflicting , and I can still talk 443 TCP and 80 TCP towards the presence server plus ping to my localnetwork.
I cannot see anything in the logs that points out the problem.
Any clues on what this could be ?

You don't have to look at Adobe's log, it's an objective C programming issue.
Adobe didn't update their code.
Open Mac OS console application and look for installation error, you will find something similar meaning the code is deprecated for Mac OS 10.8:

I recently moved all my logic audio sessions to a back up hard disk. Also updated to Loin OSX. My Stylus RMX is not working. I get a message Missing Element on Part 1...Currently not installed on their computer or has been moved to a different folder. Any help out there?

Hi
Sounds like you may have moved the RMX library folder?
Is RMX fully updated (for Lion)?
Check your hard drives for a file called SAGE:
It (or an alias of it) is normally found in the <USER>:Library:Application Support:Spectrasonics.
Note that on Lion, the <User> Library is 'hidden'... quickest way to get there is to hold down Option (Alt) whilst using the Finder:Go menu

• Apple OSX 10.7 hand gestures do not work in Fire Fox 5.1

I have upgraded my IMac to OSX 5.1(Lion) and I have upgraded Firefox to version 5.1. I have noticed that only some of the hand gestures that are provided for in Lion work in Fairefox. (They all seem to work in Safari) Is the next upgrade of Firefox going to fix this problem?

Thank goodness some people are finally posting this issue. I have several different Macs -- a Mac Mini, a Retina 15 Macbook Pro, 13 Macbook Air, and a 15 non-retina Macbook pro all running Mavericks. I haven't had this problem of multitouch gestures not working but this is getting very problematic. My two finger gestures continue to work, it's the three and four finger gestures that are not working -- especially the fullscreen switching. That was one of the highlights of this OS release -- the multi-display fullscreen switching. It works great until the computer falls asleep. Hoping there is some type of easy fix. Tried the general stuff, but it doesn't do anything for this problem.

• Macbook Air 2013 OSX 10.9.2 iSight Camera not working

Hello to everyone!
I have a problem here in my new macbook air 2013.
Since I updated my osx to 10.9.2 my iSight Camera is not working anymore. I tried to reset the SMC and PRAM without results. I also checked the permissions on my hard disk without any result.
I've also tried to delete my AppleCamera.plugin file from /Library/CoreMediaIO/Plug-Ins/DAL/ and I tried to use another one from OSX 10.8.4 but it's not working.
What can I do more?
Is there any way to fix this problem without formatting?

Hello Robert:
I am sorry to be simplistic, but Apple cannot possibly be responsible for Safari (or any other software product) working in every possible environment. In my business life I used several methods to seamlessly link with my corporate servers from home or on the road. In each case, it was possible, but not without the help of my excellent IT people.

• Cisco VPN not working with Lion OSX 10.7

Cisco VPN Client Application did not launch after upgrading to Lion OSX v10.7.
I read https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3192535 that suggested rebooting in with a 32bit kernal.
Hold down the '3' and the '2' keys while rebooting to reboot in 32bit mode.
I did this and now my existing Cisco VPN works fine.

Cisco VPN Client & OSX Lion
I have been successfully using the built in Mac OS X IPSec client on Lion 10.7.2 for a couple months now. I have no need for the Cisco IPSec client anymore and to boot into stupid 32-bit mode .
Not sure if the issues you guys are having but I followed this guide and it works perfectly. Most of my customers I only have a .pcf file for, which of course, I cannot use to figure out the groupname and password....until now...

I don't know if this will help with SonicWall but my problem for the ASA is solved.

is there any way to force a reinstall of the apache web server to fix this problem?
thanks!

Nope. That's a new one on me. That's pretty bizarre. I'm struggling to think of any remotely plausible cause.... Is this hard drive bus-powered, by any chance? Is your Airport antenna loose? Are you right at the threshold of being able to get a good signal when the drive isn't connected? Did you take the case off of the drive and stick the bare mechanism right up against the Airport antenna?
This oddly reminds me of a story a friend of mine told about a mainframe that he was servicing (or maybe it was a friend of his, I forget the details). It kept crashing every night. He'd come out and service it and couldn't find anything wrong. Eventually, he stayed there overnight to see what happened, and saw a member of the cleaning staff plug in a vacuum cleaner (maybe unplugging some other piece of equipment at the same time, I forget), and bam, the machine crashed....
It's that kind of problem.... That's just really bizarre....

• Illustrator CS5 OSX 10.6.7 - Shift key not working properly.

The shift key no longer works as it should in illustrator ie. doesn't constrain proportions.
I've searched around for this problem and none of the solutions have worked. I have tried restarting my mac; closing all applications and reopening Illustrator on it's own; and I have tried deleting the preferences file. All to no avail.
Thanks for any help.

Managed to solve the issue. I use chrome and even then there were no chrome processes running at the time. It turns out that it was FontExplorer X Pro; which I forgot that it opened automatically on startup. It seems I have to open Illustrator first, then FontExplorer afterwards; otherwise this problem happens.
Pain in the ass but oh well. Thanks for the help.

• Safari (OSX 10.9) new tab does not work

I opened Safari after the Mavericks upgrade and, initially, it looked fine. Now when I open it, it does not work. I press command-T and a new tab does not appear; I press command-N and a new window does not appear. If I quit Safari and reopen it, the tabs show up. So the UI is not reflecting the input. I've removed all non-Apple internet plug-ins and I've removed all extensions, moved all plists to my desktop and I still have this behavior.

OK, so apple support had me reset my SMC amd PRAM. In resetting PRAM, I was able to run Disk Utility and repair permissions too. And it worked. Tabs and new windows show up and it's all responsive.

• OSX Yosemite Guest Account Internet is not working.

The Admin has internet access but the Guest Account doesn't. Can anyone help?
Thanks.

I'm not using VMware anymore and switched to free Oracle VirtualBox, but the concepts are the same. The default virtual machine NAT adapter is only good for connecting to the Internet using DHCP on behalf of the host OS and cannot be used to address the guest OS from outside.
You need to configure the bridged network adapter, or a combination of NAT for outgoing and host-only for incoming network traffic. There is plenty of info on the web and the VMware knowledgeable or Google about using the virtual network editor.

• OSX Mavericks Maps "Send to iOS" not working

When I click the "share" button in Maps, my iPhone is not displayed. Any suggestions?

Still no joy for me..
Curiously I tried sending Maps to my wife's iPhone 5 on her user account on the same iMac and it works perfectly!
Her iPhone's firmware is iOS7.0.2 also.
I have since reset all settings on my iPhone and signed out and in iCloud (again on mac and iPhone) but alas no cigar.
The only thing I think it 'could' be is the iPhone5 is a replacement handset from Apple, the phone is registered to Apple etc, so could that be it?
NB. The iPhone speaks to the Mac via the 'Remote App' if that helps any.
Again thank you in advance for any advice.

• Strange Boot problem with iMac OSX 10.7.5 (Boot loop, not working safe boot etc.)

Hey guys,
I've got a strange problem with my iMac Late 2009. This morning it didn't want to boot (grey screen with turning wheel). Yesterday when I shut it down everything was fine. Last backup was finished three minutes before. So I was a bit shirty but noch scared of any data loss.
I tried the following things:
1. boot recovery and check hdd (it's a new one, only second day back from apple store for replacing seagate hdd), everythings fine
2. try to boot in safe mode, did not work!
3. try to boot in verbose mode, did work until it stopped. Screenshot of the last lines of log is within this post
4. I used my TM backup and afterwards I could boot! Strange, because as I sad the backup finished a few minutes beforce I left my mac and shut it down
Now I'm a bit scared of shutting it down again But what would be the next step to find the error? My first thought were some third party kernel extensions, but that would not affect a safe mode boot, am I right? I have a Macbook Air here which is setup nearly identical to my mac and it's working. Could it be a hardware fault? Maybe you've got an idea.
Thanks!
Max

at the moment it seems to be a corrupted time machine backup from my old hard drive (new one has a runtime of 27 hours). So I'll will try a clean install of my system at least, when I got the time. sh%&$ !

• OSX 10.10.1 update is not working

I have tried to update to OS X 10.10.1 from both the App Store and from the download package OSXUpd10.10.1. Using the separate download package, during the install step it takes one second and then tells me to restart. After restarting, the OS is still at version 10.10 and the App Store still shows the 10.10.1 as an available update.
The only thing I can think of that would prevent this from installing properly is a corrupted file permission for my root user. Any thoughts on how to debug?

Download the stand alone package again and then boot in the Safe Mode and attempt to install it.
