Anyone using iFolder on iPhone / iPad ??

There are a couple of iPhone / iPad clients from 3rd party - NOT officially
from Novell
I noticed earlier thread in September that there was a problem with
Mindsizzler client & LDAP
and cited a BUG in the Novell iFolder Server code - marked high priority in
Feb 11 but still no fix
Mindsizzler have a test client to check if YOUR sever SETUP is compatible -
that's scarey to think 1 server might work and others don't
I supposeNovell want to sell Filr !! - vapour ware at the moment
I have about 8 clients ranging from a couple of users to 20+ users who would
like iFolder on iPad
Does anyone have actual experience of the Mindsizzler client in actual
deployment??
I know dropbox is the only other alternative.

Is anyone using slingplayer thru your iPad?

Yes. I had to purchase the Slingplayer app for around $30. It has worked great until I installed iOS 6. On the previous operating system I only very occasionally had picture freezes. Actually no worse than my cable that freezes sometimes for a second or two. I watch it on my iPad 2 and when nthe whole family wants to watch, I use the airplay and mirroring to watch through the Apple TV. I love it but don't upgrade until issues are worked out. I just posted a question to see if there are any ideas on how to get it back to working. When it works, it is GREAT!

Anyone using their iphone wo service? Any problems or concerns?

My problem is I have a blackberry curve on tmobile which I have to carry and is my phone. Also it works much better as a messaging device. I do like the slickeness of my iphone but will not use it for phone or sms. I am considering canceling the service within the 30 day period to avoind the contract. If they come out with an ipod that does all of this I will sell it on ebay and get the ipod but for now I am enjoying the iphone. If I realy need the EDGE data back I can always go withthe go phone plan.

Wondering if some genius out there can help me come up with a solution, or whether this is just too pie in the sky!!
So, I'm exhibiting at a huge conference at the end of the month and want the following set up:
MacBook Pro Retina showing a video loop through AirPlay Mirroring
MacBook Pro showing exmaples of my work in safari photoshop etc through AirPlay Mirroring
iPhone (4s with iOS7) to show examples of my work in safari through AirPlay Mirroring
iPad (iPad 2 with iOS7) to show examples of my work in safair through AirPlay Mirroring
So, basically I want the video loop to play constantly and act as a screensaver almost, then when the sitution dictates I can quickly switch what is being shown on the AppleTV to whichever device I am at.
As an example, the video loop is happily playing. Someone comes up to me and wants to talk about responsive web design. I whip out my iPad and load up an example site in safari. if I turn on my AirPlay Mirroring, great the AppleTV will update and show what is on my iPad. Great, but what about when I've finished with this person. I turn AirPlay Mirroring off on my iPad and the ApplTV goes back to the main menu because it has kicked out my MacBook Pro. Imagine this scenairo happening time and itme again.
The question is, is there anyway of making some kind of heirachy where my MacBook Pro with the video is the default source, then the Apple switches depending on what is selected, then reverts back to the MacBook Pro??
Or, is there a neat little app that I can run from another iphone (almost using is as a remote) to select which source the Apple TV shows and all the devices are constantly running AirDisplay?
Possibly asking a bit too much here, but it would be amazing if I could get some form of solution that allows me to use minimum wires and no fidly changing channels on the tv with a remote!!

Anyone using AudioQueue on iPhone?

I cannot get my output queue to produce any sound. The setup of the output queue completes and starts without error. The callback happens over and over, but no sound comes out of the iPhone. I can play a video and hear sound, so the device itself does produce sound.
I can not try the simulator as my app uses OpenGL-ES.
I've seen postings that say AudioQueue is broken in beta 3, but then I've seen other posts that says it works.
So... if you have it working, can you please post saying so and what exact format (44.1kh, 16 bit, stereo etc) you are using.

I can't use airplay from iphone/ipad when I update the system

Actually, there is a solution, and it sounds to go against what you want until you realize how well it works.
Seperate Apple IDs is the solution, but you can granularly sign into different things with different IDs. Now, I'm in the exact same situation as you and saw the exact same problem. Here was our solution:
1) Create new Apple IDs for everyone that didn't already have one. This meant my wife and daughter needed new IDs.
2) Go into Settings -> Message and select "Receive At..."
3) Change the Apple ID in iMessage on a per-device basis to the new ID for who ever owns that device. For example, the new ID for my wife went on her phone, same with my daughter.
Apple IDs are free, and you don't have to change the ID on every part of your phone. For example, we still have the generic family ID on iCloud and the store, but we have our own unique ones signed in on iMessage and Game Center. From what I can tell, this is the best of both worlds.

I cannot use messages app on my ipad,whenever I try to sent a message to anyone even to my iPhone to persons name becomes red with an exclamation mark.

Anyone using Verizon iPhone 5 on GLOBE Philippines get LTE ???

I've read a few reports that Verizon's A1429 (CDMA) is able to get LTE on Globe Philippines if you get an LTE enabled nano-SIM card and get your account enabled for LTE. I've tried all of this but still to nothing. Not sure if Globe has really done the enabling of my account or not. Or if there is a such a thing.
Other reports have said that only A1429 (GSM) models (Non-North American) can get LTE on Globe Philippines. That would suck for me.
So can anyone using a Verizon iPhone 5 on Globe Philippines network confirm that they can get LTE?

How did you fix it?

Today whilst using FaceTime on my iPad 2 it went back to the apple logo. I then went onto my iPhone 4S to continue the conversation and a few minutes in it did the same thing. Clearly a problem with FaceTime any advise please.

I then continued the conversation on my iPhone 4S and the same thing happened. Any suggestions?

Crystatlview rouer/repeater--anyone had positive experience with Ipad as repeater?

Have been trying to set up Itek R/R which, from watching a Utube video seems to be the same device as the Crystalview R/R. So far, have not been able to achieve sucess with either Mac or Ipad 1. Goal is to improve WiFi reception when poor in hotels, etc. Because of multiple reports that Ipad has less strong WiFI than Iphone/Mac, etc, had hoped this would work, although realize that repeater is usually set up near fringe of router zone for connection out of that zone. Have ATT Uverse, which is b/g, and have no problems with Ipad or Mac at home. Do note that, while Mac lists about 6 other neighborhood routers to choose from, Ipad lists only my own (?)--which, strangely has a lower score when measured on the Mac than the others?? Can get to the point when the setup indicates the device is configured, but when I accept that, it simply circles back. The device is recognized on both Mac and Ipad with strong reception indicated. Has anyone used this successfully with Ipad?

I still haven't upgraded from 7.0. However, last night I must not have been thinking properly, and I upgraded my Mac to Yosemite. I'm worried that my iPad and Mac will stop talking. So far, so good, but how long will they continue to support iCloud? (I didn't switch to iCloud Drive because iPad still on 7.0.)
With the 8.1 upgrade, did you note any improvements? Any problems?

TS3367 Cannot use face time on Ipad 3

Every time I submit my apple id and password, my ipad 3 gives me a screen that indicates " people will call you using your email address. what would you like to use?" I then click Next and the system tries to verify something, but then starts again back at the first screen.
anyone have a clue whats wrong?

Xcode iPhone/iPad Simulator?

Does anyone know if you can use the Xcode iPhone/iPad Simulator for Mac with Indesign and DPS to view on rather than the Indsign viewer? I have seen people like Colin Fleming look to using it in some of his videos on DPS.
One downside to the Indesign view is that it can show things that don't work on an iPad becasue they do work in indesign and it can be confusing at times, especially for new users.
If you can, any help, suggestion, links to how to's would be greatly appreciated.

Why can't i use the Apple ID I have been using after upgrading my Ipad Software?

After upgrading to the highest OS, I'm being asked for my Apple ID - and I am using the ID I have always used for my Iphone, Ipad and Ipod, but it is teling me my Apple ID (email address) is already in use. I only have one Apple account and ID and need to use my ipad. How can I use the same ID? Thanks.

You have to create an Apple ID a specific way to use it without a credit card. The one you have created now, cannot be changed to not have a credit card. See this support document. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534
