[#|2007-03-18T11:31:37.703-0400|WARNING|sun-appserver-pe8.2|javax.enterprise.tools.launcher|_ThreadID=10;|LAUNCHER005:Spaces in your PATH have been detected. The PATH must be consistently formated (e.g. C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0\bin; ) or the Appserver may not be able to start and/or stop.  Mixed quoted spaces in your PATH can cause problems, so the launcher will remove all double quotes before invoking the process. The most reliable solution would be to remove all spaces from your path before starting the Appservers components.  |#]

Hi,
Seems you are having socket time out exception. I use to get the same while deploying on XP with (640MB RAM) but able to re-run after freeing some memory. Creator needs optimally atleast 1GB RAM. You have not mentioned your machine RAM...
It might just help..

    You haven;t specified the exceptions you r getting ........while starting your default server.
    if u r getting exception about InetClass then connect your system with LAN/Internet then your problem will be solved becoz i m using same location address as you specified, space doesn't matter at all - i think so, it is running fine........

  • Strange HTTP/Web Server Problem - HELP ~~~~~~~

    HI all,
    I would like to seek help from you - the apple expert!
    I received my mac mini server and immediate want to setup a web/http server. I encountered one very strange problem that only the mac mini server itself can access the http server page but not all other machines in the same internal network. I tried to troubleshoot and so simplify the setting as follow
    Here is my setting
    - The Web Server service is ON
    - I closed all the built in web services (wiki, cal, blogs, webmail) for troubleshoot
    - I created a "Custom Sites" with 192.168.11.9:8080 <- this is my mac mini ip
    - Ensured the /Library/WebServer/Sites/192.168.11.9 got right permission
    When i open IE in my window vista laptop, type in address "http://192.168.11.9:8080", it doesn't work. Is there anything i need to config so that other machine (Win OS) in the internal network can also access the http server in my mac mini?
    Thank you very much.

    ...and in your do/while loop think what happens when read() does return -1. You still write the entire buffer. You should do something like this instead:
        while (true) {
            int count = in.read(buf);
            if (count == -1)
                break;
           out.write(buf, 0, count);
        }

  • Web service deployment on oracle app server, need help

    Hi All..,
    When I deploy a web service on the Oracle Application Server (10.1.3.3) the WSDL that is generated from JDeveloper and package with the EAR file is overwritten at deployment time. The parameter names for the method calls for the web service are change from actually parameter names to generic ones. For example, “amount” is changed to “param0” or “vendorId” is changed to “param1”. Is there a way to not let this happen ??
    TIA

    Do you have some network setup problem? Can you

    Do you have some firewall doing strange things?
    It looks like the appserver has to wait for some kind of timeout:-(

  • App Update Problem - Help!

    It says I have 15 updates for my apps in the Appstore. So I clicked update all and it brings me to the homescreen and shows a page of apps with some of the ones that need to be updated on and as if they're in the updating process. Then it just stops. All apps go back to normal and none of them update. I went back to the Appstore and tried to Update All numerous times then I tried to do them one by one. Still, nothing happened. I went into my iTunes and clicked on the apps and clicked update. Nothing. I don't know what to do! Anyone know how to fix it? Thanks!
    (Oh, BTW could it be that I didn't update my iPod system to IOS 5? [It's version is 4.3.5 (8L1)] Because I heard it wipes your photos so I didn't want to update it but if I have to, I will if it means my iPod's apps will be fixed.)

    Do you mean that i cant update an app if it wasnt installed through my account ? Will if the answer is yes, then im sad, because the app isnt a free one , and the account downloaded through wasnt mine it was the iCity's one , i hope the answer is no , i cant also delete it and download it because its not free, i dont have a visa, i only download free apps with my account , so still, im having no answer.

    If you mean to have both simultaneosly set on the same OS session, of course that's not possible. But you can configure them on your profile, and choose them when needed. The following is an excerpt from my .bash_profile

    I'm not sure what you want in regards to question, but I can assure you that you can run servlets in S1AS7. My recommendation is to just package your servlet into a web archive (war) and deploy it. You can deploy it via the commandline (asadmin) or the web based administrative client (likely http://localhost:4848). For more information on this I suggest reading:
    http://docs.sun.com/source/816-7150-10/index.html
    You must likely want to read the section on assembling and deploying web applications.

  • Problem with READ DATASET when reading file from app server

    Hi,
    wondering if anyone can help, I'm using the following code to read from a file on app server, the file is of type .rtf
    OPEN DATASET file_rtf FOR INPUT IN TEXT MODE
                                 ENCODING DEFAULT
                                 WITH SMART LINEFEED.
    DO.
    READ DATASET file_rtf INTO string.
    IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
    EXIT.
    ENDIF.
    ENDDO.
    the open dataset part works sy-subrc = 0, but the read returns sy-subrc = 8 and no data is passed to string.
    Any ideas as to what is causing this problem appreciated, <removed>
    Thanks
