In the App Store there are all these vpn's being offered for "free" but none of them are free at all. Why does Apple allow them to offer as free when they are not free. All other apps must list their price. Why the exception. This is fraud.

I think you might be misunderstanding...
They are considered in-app purchases. The apps are free but there's a fee for connecting to a server.

I'm using a mid 2014 13" rmbp. I reinstall the Yosemite due to the wifi issue, when finished, the iMovie was not installed, I try to download it from app store, but it's not free. How can I get iMovie back?
It's something to do with the main user account (not iTunes account) on my Mac because I logged in with another account and it downloaded fine, I installed it on the HDD and even though the date in App Store was 16th October 2014, it is the full installer of 10.10.2.
To try to resolve this problem, I have copied the installer app elsewhere and deleted it but App Store still will not allow me to download it with my main user account yet just allowed me to update iTunes.
I had a brainwave last night that it might have been related to me changing the default downloads folder to one not on my boot drive (to save disk space on my main boot drive) but having changed it back, tried again, rebooted and tried yet again, deleted my App Store preferences. nothing has worked. -
i need help, i can't download free applications in App store. they answer me "your request cannot be processed Error code:1009".

Why all my previous downloaded apps (free or paid) suddenly not showing up on the iTunes store "purchased" section. Every time I select "purchased", the next screen shows "no purchased app available for downloaded"?? It is the same on my iphone4 or ipad 2!! Please help!!

I have to actually same problem today 23.10.2012. For an example I have only changed billing methods and have bought hundreds of apps but I remember clearly that I bought for an example ,,Wikipanion Plus'' and ,,OPlayer'' which is now HD OPlayer and I did not see them in purchased items, neither ,,not on ipad/iphone'' nour ,,not on my computer'' and I check in both my computer. I confirm hereby that I took the chance to re-buy these two Apps again through the same account but I got the message ,,As you have bought the previous version on this account you will get this update for free'' so I clicked yes and I got them both. This doesnt only proof that I have purchased them before and purchased items in iTunes Store has some lacks to fix but also it proofs that I also bought them through that specific account as I had to confirm the buying process. In my opnion this is not a thing which Apple should be relaxed with as its very important that powerusers and regular consumers can trust and rely on doing business and to shop via iTunes. I have a lot of expensive Apple Hardware and for me this is a stepping stone and a serious test on the circle of trust. If this cant be fixed I cannot recommend others to trust the store.

When you set up your Apple ID, did you enter a credit card? That's usually all you need to do. Even for free apps. Also, the credit card need to be issued in the country of the App Store you use. Now, there is a way to set up an Apple ID without a credit card, but it's (IMHO) a good idea to have one on the account incase you ever do want to purchase a paid for app, or want to make an in-app purchase. I've had a CC tied to my Apple ID for several years now. Not once have I had a charge that wasn't mine or any billing issues whatsoever.

You don't need an international credit card, to be able to buy items from your country's store (you can't use another country's store) the card needs to have been issued by a bank in your country and be registered to your name and address. i downloaded advance cinema app from tha app store, but everytime i click on a movie, it takes me to the IMDB website and im not able to watch the movie. The app promises 4000 free movies, but not able to watch any new movies...
I have found the issue. I have not found an answer to the prob. I have put in a case with customer service. If it doesn't work right, I need my money back!!!

It sounds like you are trying to download and install apps that require a later version of iOS than what can be and is probably installed on your iPod Touch. Your 1G iPod Touch can only be updated to IOS 3.1.3 and no higher. You can check the current version by heading to Setttings -> General -> About.
If the app requires a later version that iOS 3.1.3, then you will not be able to install or use that app unless you purchase a new iOS device.

Overtime I removed them from my iPad, hadn't used them in a while. Wanted to try one of them again. Went to the purchase tab in the iPad App Store, none of them are listed. Either in installed or not on this iPad. When I go to the apps in the App Store it has a price tag not a cloud with down arrow tag. I read each apps description to see if the version I downloaded was removed and replaced with this new version that has to be bought again, no mention of such. No mention from reviews of repurchase complaints. So am I out of luck? If an app is removed from the App Store by the developer, is it also removed from my account?If I were you I'd talk to Apple Customer Service. They have been very helpful to me in the past. You could also try and contact the developers.

Do you mean an app's price button, or 'free' if it's free to download, isn't showing against the apps in the store ? If you do then do you have an app age rating set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is stopping you downloading them ?

thank you very muchSo the result form Apple authorized servis was that both motherboard and graphic card need to be replaced (cost aproximatelly 1100$) and in addition they said there will still remain some problem with display which would cost additional 500$ to fix. Taken in account that there would be only 90 days warranty on new parts I decided to give up with the iMac. Very disappointing after only 1,5 year on machine that costed more than 2000$.
Recommendation from me after this experience - buy 3 years warranty if possible. I am personally very much looking forward for Mac Pro refresh. I don't want to be again in situation that if something breaks in my working machine I have no chance to replace it myself and can only expect very high repair costs. Untill new Mac Pros are out I'll suffer working on Mac Book Pro. -
