Appending timestamp to the dumpfile. Why do we need this space ?

When running expdp in Linux , I was trying to append the timestamp to the dumpfile and the following syntax has worked.
DUMPFILE= PCFS_SIT-`date '+%d-%b-%Y'`_%u.dmpThere should be a space after the date keyword. Without the space you'll get the following error
$ -ksh: date+%d-%b-%Y: not found [No such file or directory]Why is this ?

All I want is all my contacts on my phone and the same on my iMac, but no, that's too much to ask, instead I get everything doubled up on the phone and everything doubled up (triple in some cases) on the iMac, why does it do this? and more importantly how can I stop it? Thanks
Look under system preferences on the mac at what is be controlled? Look at Mail, Contacts, Calendars. How many accounts are managing contacts? Just the cloud? the cloud and gmail? or cloud, gmail, yahoo, and exchange? If you have more than one contact account, then you will have different contact lists, if John Smith shows up in more than one of your contact lists, you will have multiple entries.
Pick a contact list that is your master, (I use iCloud), only turn on contact syncing for it. The same for your phone. Spend some time on the iCloud webset (www.icloud.com) and work on your contact list there. Clean it up, remove duplicates, etc...Changes will auto sync back to all your devices. Life gets much simplier.
Just remember, if you sync different contacts lists and a large number of people appear in your different lists, then they will appear as duplicates. -
I really want my Apple TV, iPad and iPhone to sort them in date taken like in iPhoto on my iMac. How do I do that? Sorting on date modified seems so stupid to me, why would anyone need this? Date taken gives a timeline in your event.
The unix commands you need are:
GetFileInfo
SetFileInfo
and maybe find
for cryptic details use the man command
Macintosh-HD -> Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal
man SetFileInfo
You may use the SetFileInfo command to set the file type & the program which will open the file.

The date they were taken us in the EXIF data and is included in the export
However it is trivial to modify it so I doubt that it would hold water in court

So I have ITunes Home Sharing on my desktop computer on. When I go to another computer and play the songs from the Home Share computer the songs get cut off maybe 10 seconds + at the end of the song. In other words it will not play the last 10 seconds of the song sometimes it's last 5 seconds sometimes its the last 15 seconds it seems to vary. I can't really find a pattern on the timing but I just don't understand why this is happening please help!

What iOS are you currently running?
If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.0.1. For the iPad Mini the iOS is 6.0.2. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.

If you get a pop-up message asking to update or install other software then such a message is likely a scam and you should never respond to such an alert to avoid getting infected with malware.
You should only update Firefox via "Help > About" or by downloading and installing Firefox from the Mozilla server and never via a pop-up or link on a web page. -
[T41] Why do I need this piece on my motherboard?
Making some maintenance, I found a piece of electronics hanging loosely from the motherboard which fell out with little effort.

Question is: What was that piece for? Mi laptop appears to be working normally. The only problems are the problems that it already had: Screen flickering (LCD pannel turns on and off repeatedly) when using graphic-intensive applications (like watching videos fullscreen) and USB ports working as USB 1.0.
Is it safe to still use my laptop?It is a capacitor, but without a circuit diagram, it is hard to tell what is the function. The board is old enough that it will be leaded solder, so you won't need much in the way of equipment. If you know anyone with a decent soldering iron, I would suggest putting it back onto the pads

My mac keeps saying medium-write error, and it's become out of hand. I've done all the suggested things to prevent it, by buying apple CDs, minimizing the burn speed, and restarting my computer... I need to burn CDs for my job, and I am a firm apple supporter... This is just out of control it took me 90 mins to finally burn a CD, because I had to go through 10 other CDs... HELP.
I doubt they're any better than anything else.

QuickTime Player 7 was released in April, 2005 and if you purchased a Pro upgrade it is still valid today.
Updating QuickTime Player will not remove your Pro upgrade. -
I received an email saying my free iCloud is almost full. However, checking my System Preferences on this Mac, I see I have 24.99 of 25 GB available. My iPhone, however, shows I only have 5 GB and most of it is used. Apparently, I have to buy an iCloud account on each device; that seems counterproductive, so probably it's my mistake.
What am I doing wrong?No, you do not separate accounts for your devices. It makes more sense to only use one account for all your devices in order to sync data like contacts, calendar events, reminders, notes and also app data between them.
